What the hell happened

"Where the hell is he?" I asked as i pulled into our drive way. "I told him to be outside and waiting.
My battalion and I just got back from overseas, and all I wanted to do was go drinking with my best friend. I even him called later that day to tell him that I was going to be in town that afternoon to pick him up, so we could hit the clubs up and party. So much for not wasting time." I said as I put my jeep in park. "How many times do I need to make sure that he doesn't end up in jail." I said as I got out of my car.

"This is just great." I said as I walked up the steps to our front door. "Looks like he hasn't checked the mail in weeks." I said as I dropped my duffle bags. "This doesn't feel right." I said as I pulled my 9mm. from its holster. There are a many things that make me feel uneasy when returning from deployments, One- When people don't call back, two- When things haven't been checked regularly, three- When my friends just randomly disappear from our house. " Bro you in here." I shouted as I took off my patrol cap. No answer. "He probably went to see Giselle or something." I thought as I picked up my bags and cautiously walked up the stairs to the game room. "Bro you in there?" I asked as I opened the game room door. "Huh, that's weird, he left his games and everything here." I said as I was about to walk out the room when all of a sudden I glimmer caught my eye. " Alright, what shit has matt got himself into this time." I said as I reached out to pick up the odd looking relic. "This is one weird looking relic........." The next thing I knew I blacked out.

"What the hell is going on?" I asked myself as I sat up. "Well look who finally woke up." A feminine voice said. "Who's there?" I asked as I stood up. "I am surprised you don't recognize my sister and I." Another voice said as two figures appeared in front of me.

"Am I supposed to know you two or something?" I asked as I stood at the position of attention. "So you truly don't remember the rulers of
night and day in a land called Equestria." The tallest of the two said as she moved closer to me. "I'm sorry my mind is kind of hazy at the
moment." I said as I rubbed my forehead. "Don't worry, your mind should be clear enough after this." The tallest one said as she kissed my forehead. As her lips left my forehead a flash of memories hit my mind. "How about now, is it any better?" the shortest asked as she grabbed my shoulder. When she did this my mind started to clear up even more and I started to remember all the great times I had watching the famous TV show they came from.

"Luna and Celestia, its all coming back to me know." I said as I saluted the two royal sisters in front of me. "Its good to see your military

training hasn't left you." Celestia said with a smile. "Well what can I say your highness my mother and the army has taught me well." I said as I stood at ease. "Well that is a good thing." Luna said as she circled around me. "Permission to speak freely ma'am?" I asked as Luna
completed her inspection of me. " Go ahead, Xavier, ask as many questions as you see fit." Celestia said as she grabbed my shoulder. "And please skip the formalities, we are friends here are we not?" She said as she hugged me. " What the hell is going on? " I asked as she pulled away from me.

"That is up to you to decide Xavier, we need a solider like you to protect a group of very important mares from the evil forces of our world." Celestia said as her sister's image faded away. "I'll do it on one condition." I said as I rubbed the back of my head. "What is your request?" She asked as she crossed her arms. "I want all my equipment to come with me." I said with a sheepish grin. "That can be done, but remember this, if you harm these mares in any way I will send you to the moon without a second thought." Celestia said as her image started to fade. "I'll see you in the morning Xavier, when you wake find my loyal student Twilight Sparkle and tell her that I brought you here, and if she doesn't believe you tell her these words.

"I am the phoenix of my world and I will not lose my last flame till the earth is ready for me to do so." She said as her image faded away completely.

"I woke up outside of a small clothing store type building in the middle of the night. "So this shit actually happened." I said as I tried to open the door to the store as quietly as possible. No luck. "Well I have a feeling there is a key around here somewhere." I said as I lifted the welcome mat. "Of fucking course, its always under something." I said as I picked up the key. "Lets just go in and get some sleep, and not get caught for the night." I said as I walked into the store/house as quietly as possible.
