The Magic Of Friendship Will Never Die
Chapter 8 The Aftermath
Previous ChapterThe corpses of the living ponies of Ponytopia, or what was left of them were buried in the Stones of Tears graveyard. Some bodies would never be found and they had empty graves with tombstones. The remains or ashes of the insane and criminal ponies were reburied where they belonged in their coffins. The ghosts were returned to their coffins as well using magic. Flower Garden was buried next to Solar Salute, her deceased husband.
The Solar Princess had summoned myself, Rainbow Heart, and the other five main characters to tell her what happened. She ended up interviewing everypony from Ponytopia, but the main six characters were the first to be interviewed. I was the last to be interviewed. I left the throne room and was walking down the long hallway going over bits and pieces of the conversation in my mind.
The Princess said, “You took the survivors to Ponytown against my order that you never set hoof in that place.”
I informed, “It was the only place I knew that was close and could protect the Ponytopia ponies.”
The Princess barked, “You also summoned Double Rainbow back from the dead against my will to never have contact with him again in anyway, shape, or form.”
I pleaded, “I am sorry, Princess, for letting Double Rainbow possess me. I had no choice. We were losing. Besides, it was the Dark Doom Gang that awakened the ghosts, including Double Rainbow. Double Rainbow wanted to help me and the pones. We needed his aid. It was the Element of Tragedy that allowed the possession to occur, meaning it was meant to be.”
The Princess stated, “That may be the case. But by doing so you could have endangered all of Equestria, if Rainbow Moon would have returned.”
I said, “I realize that Princess, but I had no other options. It won’t happen again.”
It was just the voices going through my mind of the interview. But it brought chills down my spine. The Princess could have locked me into a prison somewhere and threw away the key.
I continued walking down the hallway to exit the building.
Night Wish was waiting for me. She saw me walk by her unfazed by her presence.
Night Wish asked, “Are you gonna be alright?”
I didn’t stop as my hooves clopped on the floor.
I said, not looking behind me, “I’ll be fine.”
Night Wish couldn’t see my eyes, only my backside. My eyes glowed neon orange with spirit energy. I knew that Night Wish did not believe me. She was smarter than that. But she was powerless to do anything. Night Wish was concerned, no doubt, that I may still may have been possessed by Double Rainbow. I wasn’t, but Double Rainbow was no doubt looking to get back into the game.
