Chapter 1: Arrival and introductions : Friendship is magic part 2
It’s a normal day in Alabama, the birds are singing, it’s a little warm, a clear sky, but, just when you thought it’s the best day ever, a person is screaming.
“AHHHHH! HAL-“
Hi, my name is Colton. Colton Duke and I was just having a normal day, and all of a sudden, a random portal showed up, why you ask? Well let me back track a bit.
2 hours earlier.
“HEY MOM! DAD! THE ECLIPSE IS HAPPENING TODAY!!!!”
“Yeah, we will wait a little while before we go outside, it’s not happening yet, so slow your roll.” Says my father, chilling watching TV.
I respond to my dad saying. “Ok! I’ll just go play games or something.”
I sit back down at my computer and pull up skype, calling my best friends, well, only one of them answers, my pal rowan answers the call.
“Hey Colton, you think those visions will come true?” apparently everyone in our group had visions, dreams, voices that past week.
“Maybe, I don’t know though I wish it did happen, the mane six yelling my name sounded so real.”
“Well let me know if you are in equestria. Ya know, through skype.”
“Yes I will rowan. Don’t you worry.”
“Well wanna play some dem games?”
“Hell yeah boy” and we started a game marathon.
1 Hour later
“OH MY GOD! WHY ARE THERE HACKED LOBBYS NOW!!!! WE HAVE RAN INTO LIKE 10!!!” I was getting tired of it. “LIKE IM SO TIRED OF RUNNING INTOTHES KIND OF LOBBYS ON BLACK OPS 2!!!!”
“Same, it’s sickening, disgusting, and slimy.”
“I honestly don't see how these guys sit here on this game and hack the shit out of it, and don't care about what people think…. I JUST GOT SHOT FROM ACROSS THE MAP! *throws controller*”
“Colton calm down you're just doing this for the views now.”
“NO I’M NOT, YOU DON'T KNOW ME!!!” i say jokingly
Rowan laughs at my joke and sarcastically says back ”NO I DON'T KNOW YOU, YOU’RE RANDOM STRANGER!!!!”
We laugh really hard at our stupidity and decide to stop gaming, and just talk about the upcoming eclipse.
“So” rowan starts “you gonna try it out just in case?”
“I might as well, I might not know for sure but I really wanna go to equestria.” I really don’t like earth, honestly I despise it, even though I have some awesome friends.
“Just let me know if you are there or not.”
“Again I will.”
“Alright, well I’ll talk to you later.”
“Ok see ya!” the skype call ends.
“Colton!!” my father calls. “The eclipse is starting!”
“COMING!” I’m running outside with a knife, tomahawk, and a machete on my belt, and my backpack.
“Here take these glasses” he says “why do you have those?” Pointing to my gear.
“I just feel like wearing them.”
“Well, let's get out there and watch the eclipse!”
“OK!” we walk outside and put on the glasses as we look at the sun, it’s almost done.
“WHOOOO!!!!” me and my family yell. I secretly walk to where my vision was and look at the sun one last time before it was plunged into darkness.
“Alright, here we go.” I look where the portal should be.
I wait for a couple of seconds and…. nothing happened.
“Wait. What? Are you kidding me?!?!?! I WAITED ALL THIS TIME FOR-”
All of a sudden, a portal appears and tries sucks me in.
“WHAT?!?!” it starts to pull me in.
“I SCARED!!!!” my torso is all the way in.
“AHHHHH! HAL-“
Hi, my name is Colt- wait I already did that, well now that you’re all caught up let's see what happens next.
“HALP!!!!” I have been sucked into this thing i don’t even know if it’s a portal or not.
“I’M I IN A FUCKING WORMHOLE?!?! IT’S ALL PSYCHEDELIC N’ SHIT”
This really looked like an opening to a doctor who episode.
All of a sudden I'm sitting right in front of the town hall of ponyville.
“Wow, its dark here.” I look up into the sky and see the there is a solar eclipse in the sky as well. ”Well at least I didn’t miss the eclipse”
The door to the town hall rips open, causing me to jump a little, and there is this blue cloud known as nightmare moon that floats right past me, and into the everfree forest.
Following behind her where Rainbow Dash! I jump into a bush to try to hide from being detected.
“COME BACK HERE!” Rainbow screams
Mentally at this point I’m flipping the hell out. Like I just got ripped from my world into equestria, and all because of a vision I saw in class a couple days ago.
“Nighttime….. Forever?” Wait, am I in season 1?
Twilight runs out of the town hall and towards my direction, luckily I’m well-hidden and she runs right past me. I wait until Rainbow flies towards her house.
About 5 minutes later Rainbow, Apple Jack Pinkie pie, Rarity, Fluttershy and secretly I arrive and wait
They enter twilight house knowing that they will fight I wait till they come out.
I see nightmare moon float up to window and I remember that she finds out were the elements are.
They walk out of the tree house, wait, house tree? Fuck it, house and scarcely walk to the everfree forest.
I silently walk behind them, hoping they don't find me.
They yell in unison “EVERFREE FOREST!?!?”
“WHEE, let's go” says a certain pink pony.
“Not so fast. Look, I appreciate the offer, but I’d really rather do this on my own” twilight just saying say, hello to your new friends.
“No can do, sugar cube. We sure ain’t lettin’ any friends of ours going into that creepy place alone. We’re sticking to you like caramel on a candy apple. ” YOU TELL EM APPLE JACK! Oh shit there moving! FOLLOW ZEM!
“Especially if there’s candy apples in there. What? Those thing are good.” Oh pinkie.
Twilight sighs and walks on.
“Looks like I’ll be following them. For a while.” I whisper to myself.
We walk on for a bit, until the ground gives out, fucking nightmare moon, now I have to slide down. After seeing Rainbow and Fluttershy fly down to save their friends I slide down until the drop I try to find a safe way down, sadly this time I was unlucky so I whip out my tomahawk and flip it to the pick side and started to decline down the cliff, once at a safe distance I jump off it and into a bush. Watching the six, just in case they saw me. Thankfully they didn’t so we continued on.
Just a little while after the fall rainbow dash is being her egotistical self and giving her self-praise, but of course everything is short lived and there was a damn manticore! Thankfully for me I knew what was going to happen, so I stayed hidden, all but Fluttershy where fighting him, considering that she loves animals, but apparently at a small bit of a stalemate the five run straight at the manticore, but are stopped by Fluttershy telling them to stop. Flutteshy looks at the manticore and is about to get hit, but pulls a Jesus and says.
“shhh. its okay” I swear to god she is the messiah.
She proceeds to lift is paw and take out a splinter out of his paw, he roars, and starts to lick the shit out of her. And proceeding to be cute. And the other five walk past them, whilst I sneak past fluttershy and the manticore
“How did know about the thorn?” that was a torn? Twilight I’ll ask you that later.
“I didn’t, but sometimes we just need to be shown a little bit of kindness” messiah.
We walk on and all the suddenly everything gets dark “seriously nightmare you won’t give us a break damn it!” I thought, what is that? Oh creepy trees. Welp if you can’t beat em’ join em’. I start to growl and groan to make it creepier, but stop because I knew that pinkie was going to sing, she starts to laugh and sing, so I was starting think of one of friends, but all of them start to disappear. I think to myself” I guess you could say that they died of laughter.” Stop Colton, stop. I start to realize they start to walk off and I quickly ran closer to them and hid
After a little while longer I realize what is going to happen next is a sea serpent! But I realized how unexposed I’ll be if I cross his back. I decide to run across his back and to the side quickly when the time is right. The six all bump into each other trying to not fall into some super active water.
“How are we gonna cross this?” pinkie asks.
Suddenly we all could hear crying, we walk over to the crying to find out what it is.
“What a world! What a world!” oh shit its Steven magnet dat big ass sea serpent
“Excuse me, sir” Twilight starts ”why are you crying?”
“Well I don’t know. I was just sitting here, minding my own business when this tacky little cloud of smoke just whisked past me and tore off half of my beloved mustache clean off. And now I simply look HORRID” Poor soul.
After a little more dialogue between the six, Rarity decides to jump in and cut her tail off. Now with that complete. I get ready to run, first is Twilight, next is Pinke, third is AJ, fourth is rarity, fifth is rainbow, and sixth is Fluttershy. After her I wasted no time I started to sprint jump across his back. And right before the last jump, I made the biggest jump I could muster and landed in a bush, making sure no one saw me I watch them closer. Then Rainbow looks at my direction. Thinking I got caught I backed up into another bush, for further cover, she checks the bush and fails to find anything, so she goes back to her group and the six wave goodbye to Steven magnet and we start to walk on.
30 minutes later.
We come across the bridge that Rainbow has to pull up and face the shadow bolts so without any hesitation she goes across the bridge and fixes the bridge along with talking with the shadowbolts. After a couple of minutes she comes back from the mass of clouds. They all go across the bridge, and after a minute I follow suit. The bridge is really unstable so I get my tomahawk ready just in case I fall of the bridge. I can just barely see, but all six walk inside the old castle ruins. I try to hurry up so I pick up my pace, finally I’m on stiff ground. “Thank god, I’m so glad I didn’t look down. That would have been so much worse” I think to myself, I peek into a window and see twilight trying to make a magical spark for the sixth element. The remaining five decide to leave twilight to concentrate, then all the sudden nightmare moon is coming up behind her. I decide to stay silent, to keep the story running, nightmare moon is spinning into a tornado along with the elements. Twilight tries to grab them, but is teleported away. I see from across form where I’m standing there is lights in one single building. I run up and on the side of it, standing in a window would be. Standing in the middle of the room was twilight and at the very far end of the room was nightmare moon. Twilight musters enough courage and charges after her. Nightmare is surprised and decides to charge back, twilight teleports behind nightmare and lands where she was previously and tries to set off a spark again. Nightmare tries to stop her but fails, twilight who was thrown back by the sparking, stands up and is happy with herself, she basically thinks that she’s a bad ass. But….. 3…. 2….1… PFFT.
Twilight gasps and says “But where is the sixth element?”
Nightmare starts to laugh manically and stomps on the ground, shattering the elements. “YOU LITTLE FOOL! Thinking you can defeat me. Now you will never see your princess or your sun. THE NIGHT WILL LAST FOR EVER!” I thinks it’s time for me to make an appearance.
“NOT SO FAST DARK SIDE OF THE MOON” I jump down from where I was.
“And who would you be hmmm? A monkey? Ooooooh this should be fun!” she fires a spell at me and I jump to the left, she shoots another spell, I jump backwards. And another, I just jump, I then stop my right foot, then my left foot, she fries another spell, I jump to the left, another, I jump to the right, another, I jump back, and stomp my right and left foot, but I thought to myself ”should I stop messing around and help, or stall some more? More stalling.” As she keeps shooting I keep dancing.
“Are you going to stop playing with me?” *cough* THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID!*cough*
“Honestly I’m just trying to have fun.” She looks at me with annoyance and fires right underneath my legs. “But if you wanna fight me go ahead, but beware, all of my distracting has paid off.”
“Wait! What?” she looks over to the elements of harmony. “How did you fix the elements? I destroyed them!”
“Yeah well, while I was messing around with you they came back and now they are the spirits of the elements of harmony” I say while laughing.
After my laughing they shot nightmare moon with a rainbow bullet? I don’t know. Anyways she got hit and turned back into Luna. After the blast they looked at them self’s in awe looking at the elements in mobile form.
And then Celestia voice comes out of nowhere and the sun is lifted. She appears out of thin air. She looks at the six and looks at me, and I wave hello.
She is dumb founded by me and waves back, she then looks to the mane five and twilight goes up to her and hugs her. She says “I knew you could do it.”
“But you told me it was all an old pony’s tale.” She I so confused right now.
“I told you to make some friends, nothing more.” You fucking troll. “I saw the signs of nightmare moon’s return, and I knew it was you who had the magic inside to defeat her. But you could not unleash it until you let true friendship into your heart now if only another will, as well…”
“You mean Luna? Right?” celestia looks to me and nods. “Ok, for a second thought you were talking about me.”
“Well you could use some friendship two.” She looks at me with a sincere face. “Twilight. Will you mind taking him in?”
“WHAT?!?!” me and twilight say in unison.
“Seriously? I don’t deserve anything. I’ve done nothing.”
“Yes you have, you distracted her” she says.
“Well whatever celly” I say sarcastically back to her.
Her eyes go wide for a second. ”what did you call me?”
I look at her and say” I said celly”
She looks at me and says. “Thank Faust! Somepony that doesn’t say Princess Celestia!”
“You are welcome!” I say cheerily.
Luna awakes, and gasps
“It has been a thousand years since i have seen you like this. Time to put our differences behind us. We were meant to rule together, little sister.”
“Sister?” the six say in unison, oh my god. I forgot that they did not know.
“Will you accept my friendship?”
Luna thinks for a moment, she gets up and runs to her sister “I’m so sorry! I missed you so much, big sister.”
“I’ve missed you to”
Pinkie blows her nose. WAIT WHAT?!?! She stops crying and says “Hey! You know what this calls for? A PARTY!”
We teleport back in ponyville and I just don't even question it. Everyone is accepting to Luna surprisingly, not really for me. But for anypony else, they would probably be scared.
Someponys start to notice me, getting a little frightened they start to back-off a little. But Celestia sees this and gives a small talk. ”Oh, my little ponies. You should accept him, he help defeat the evil inside my sister.” Everypony starts to warm up to me a little bit. But they still question my presence there.
Then for some reason Twilight looks sad ”You all right Twilight?”
Celestia also notices this and say’s “why so glum, my faithful student? Are you not happy that your quest is complete and you can return to your studies in canterlot?”
Twilight looks up and says ”That’s just it. Just when I learn how wonderful it is to have friends, I have to leave them.”
Celestia smiles and says “Spike, take a note, please. I, princess Celestia, hereby decree that the unicorn Twilight Sparkle, shall take on a new mission for equestria. She must continue to study the magic of friendship. She must report to me her findings from her new home in ponyville.
After this everyone comes around twilight and hug her.
“Oh, thank you Princess Celestia. Ill study harder than ever before. Everybody then cheers for their new pony friend in ponyville.
“Hey Tia.” I start “Can I talk to you?”
“Sure…. I didn’t get your name.” I totally forgot to introduce myself to the entire group.
“Oh, shit sorry, my name is Colton Duke I know not an epic name at all, especially for a hero of any kind.”
“I think it’s a nice name for a hero. Which speaking of thanks for the assist.” Being friendly I see.
“Why, thank ya, so I wanted to talk to you about me.” I knew I should do this.
“Ok?”
I know the future of this world, I’m not from this world and I wanna stay here.” She looks at me blankly. No expression at all.
“Just don’t interfere with her studies.”
“OK!” I say cheerily. We walk back to the group of six. “Hello, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Colton Duke, what are all of your names?”
“Hello Colton, my name is Twilight Sparkle. These are my friends Apple Jack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Fluttershy.” She pointed to them one by one as she said there name.
“Hello to all of you. So Twilight. Tia told me to that I’m here to stay with you, until I can make a living of course. Where would this house be?”
“Well technically it’s a tree, but house works just fine.” Well at least I know what to call it.
“Well I guess I need to get settled in. can you point me in the right direction?” she points me where her house is, of course I already knew where it was but I need to seem less creepy as I can. “Ok thanks Twilight!”
“No problem!” I start to go in that direction and pinkie stops me.
“Oh no you don’t mister. I need to throw you a party!” I’m yanked into the other direction where streamers and cake where littered everywhere.
“Aw come on pinkie I haven’t done much!” I’m surprised she even wants to throw me a party.
“Eat some cake silly! I insist!” she shoves a bit of cake in my mouth. And it tastes like the best vanilla ever.
“I’M STAYING!!!!” I start shoving cake down my mouth hole.
“Slow down, you don’t wanna choke on the cake!” I start to slow down not wanting to choke like pinkie said, after a bit I eat the entire cake. But then I remember something.
“I gotta do something real quick.” I walk away for a bit. And pull out my phone. Amazingly I have a signal, I take a selfie of me behind the town hall, and send it to skype. And type “I’m here.”

i do not own my little pony : friendship is magic. it belongs to its right full owner, i used dialogue from the second episode of Season 1. this is a bit of a one shot. if it gains enough wind and people like it, ill add more. also if there any mishaps in the texts please tell me. would be great full.
Chapter 2: Getting settled in: Colton's personal life.
After I had sent the text to Skype. I put the phone in my pocket, and walked back to the group.
“Sorry, I had to do something.” I need to play it safe, so they don’t think I’m some kind of spy.
“Colton what where you doing?” shit, its twilight, I have to think of someth-
“I had to use the restroom.” Nice save Colton, nice save. True statement, however, wasn’t going to mention it.
“Well ok then, so if you follow me I’ll show you a way to my house.” I feel like I’m unwanted. I don’t like this.
“Are you sure you would even want me to live with you Twilight? It just doesn’t feel right.”
“Well the princess wanted you to move in with me, so I guess you’re entitled to.”
After about 10 minutes of walking the talk, me and Twilight walk up to the library, and walk inside.
“Oh lord, the irony. We are in a library, a place that has books, and also have paper in them, and we are inside a tree. Paper central. Tree-ception” I’m thinking too hard.
“What are you talking about Colton?” she questions me
“Honestly, I don’t know.” I look off into the distance as I put my backpack and tools beside a couch. “Sooooo…..where are you going to station me for me to sleep?”
“In my guest bedroom.”
“Awesome. I need to sleep.” I start to walk up the steps and get about half-way up until I realized, I’m a little sweaty. “On second thought where is the shower?
One trip to the bathroom later.
“Oh my sweet lord. I needed that.” Feeling refreshed, I walk out with my previous clothing on. “Ok twilight! I know what I’m going to do next!” no answer “um twilight” still no answer. “Hmm…. Mabey she went somewhere” I decide not to yell. Mostly because I yell loud, so loud in fact I could yell to a crowd of people (or ponies in this case.) and they could hear me clearly. So I look around for clues for her little disappearance. I find a note on the door that reads “I’ll back in 10.” I sit down giving myself a pat on the back and pull out my phone and look at funny videos on YouTube, mostly anything that caught my eyes, like bait pranks and ragetages. Then I just felt bored and put my phone in my pocket. Without my knowledge a little purple dragon watching me, confused and scared.
*Oh….. What do I dooooo?* the dragon thinks. Without a second thought he grabs a pan and tries to whack Colton in the head and sadly succeeds.
“OW!” I scream turning around griping the back of my head “THAT REALLY HURT!!!! WHY ME!?!?!” I see spike with a pan in his hand. And I scream even more, half excited to the boi and half acting scared or surprised. “WHAT ARE YOU!?!?!?” he was probably scared shitless.
“WHAT AM I? What are you?!?!” he screams. Yep scared shitless.
“Oh in that case, I’m a Human, my name is Colton.” I say nonchalantly
“I-I-I’m a dragon, and m-my name is S-Spike.”
‘Well nice to meet you Spike” I reach out my hand to greet him further and he half openly accepts.
“Nice to meet you to Colton. So what where you watching on that thing.”
“Oh this?” I throw my phone up in the air and catch it “I’ll tell you when twilight gets back.” I hear the door opening and I turn to see its twilight. “Well speak of the devil.”
“What’s a devil?” oh good lord. “And what’s that thing in your paw?” great at this rate I’ll have to tell the story on how I became to be.
“Ugh. A devil can be known as 2 things a demented spirit or an expression. And this.” I point my hand “is my hand, and.” I show my phone. “This. Is a phone it can make calls and…….”
How about we not mess with this back and forth between Twilight, Spike, and Colton
“Are you done quizzing me? I mean we’ve been at this for like an hour.”
Twilight looks at me happily and says “sure! But I will ask for more about you and your experiences along with your history!”
“Whoa whoa whoa. I don’t do so great with history. I can try though.” I say with a smile.
“Well try as hard as you can next time” twilight says with enthusiasm.
“Even in my own words?”
“Even in your own words.” Oh shit.
“Alright. Now without further to do. Have to go find somepony to make me some clothings.”
“Actually. Me and Spike know somepony who can make clothes.
“Oh really, and who would that be?”
“Rarity!” spike yells out after a second he looks embarrassed and starts to blush.
“Wait really? Well can have some help to find where her place is?
“Yes!” spike yells again, embarrassingly blushing
“allllllllrighty then. Let’s get a move on.”
Near the boutique after about 10 minutes
Me, Spike, and Twilight. Are closing in on the boutique and we had been talking about what colors fit on me the best, There were four. Red, Blue, White, and Black. Along with what designs I would want on it.
“I think I would want knives on it.”
“Why would you want knives on your clothing?” Twilight asks
“Because I like action.”
“But what does that have to with anything?”
“Well, doing flips throwing knifes, stabbing things, you know the usual.”
“You’re violent, you know that?”
“Yes I know. Practically insane.”
With the boutique like 20 more feet in front of us. We stop our conversation/ argument.
“Well we’re here!” twilight says enthusiastically.
“Thank you so much twilight. I probably would have been lost for hours if it weren’t for you.”
“No problem!” she walks off with spike back to her house.
I enter and the doors makes the infamous bell jingling noise I ask “hello?” Rarity starts her business slogan saying
“Welcome to Carousel Boutique Where every garment is chic, unique and magnifique. Oh hello Colton, what can I do for you this fine evening?”
“Hi Rarity, I’m looking for some clothing. I was told you’re the best around.”
Rarity blushes and says, ”Oh why I may or may not be the best but I’m pretty good”
“Well I’d have to be judge of that. Not to put any pressure on you in any way.” So let her test begin.
“Ok, so what kind of clothing would you like?”
“Well. Socks, pants, shirts, underwear, and a hat maybe?”
“Ok just one question.”
“Shoot.” God please don’t be underwear.
“What are these underwear you are talking about?”
Fuck. “Ok so, they are under my pants” I unfasten my belt and pants revealing my underwear.
“So. Why do you have to wear those? Your body is already clothed by pants so why?”
“*Sigh* Sorry for the tiny bit of vulgarity, but they cover up my groins.”
“Oh! Well in that case I guess I can compensate the underwear’s cloth measurements.”
“Ok.” I pull up my pants and belt and ask ”so where do we start?”
“For the measurements. Just go into that room” she points to a measuring room.
“Alrighty then.” We walk to the room and we begin
About 30 minutes later…
“Well that was fun.” I say walking back out
“So what will you have on the shirt?”
I pull out my phone and pull up and image of an M1 Garand with a bayonet and show it to her. She nods her head and says “ok I think I can work with that.”
“Ok just one thing tilt upwards a little, and the smaller part faceing the left sleeve of the shirt”
“Alright, and that’s it! Your stuff should be ready by tomorrow!”
“Ok!” I start to walk out but realized I needed to pay. “Oh what about payme-“
“Don’t worry about it.”
“Wait. What? Seriously?”
“Yes seriously.”
“But why though.”
“Because you’re a friend in need. Why else would I not help?”
“Aww, thanks rarity!” I ran up to her and hug her. She blushes a little at the gesture
“No problem Colton.”
“Well, thanks again, now off to the library!” I run out the door enthusiastically. I run from the boutique to nearing the library it takes about 4 minutes, just out of curiosity I take a quick look at the time on my phone and it reads 1:46 Pm, then I realize… “I need a job.”
Chapter 3: I NEED A JOB!!! : Old memories.
I think about what I could do as a job and I automatically think of a job at some sawmill, why a sawmill you ask? Well. My family has blood in the lumber part of the business. So why not give it a shot? Only problem is I have no idea how to check for jobs like that. So I go to the library, and open up the door.
“Hey Twilight. I’m back”
“Welcome back Colton. you done already?”
“Yep I was told to come back tomorrow to pick my stuff up. But there’s just one problem…. I don’t have a job, is there any job listing posts around here?”
“Ummmm.” She pulls out a map “I’m pretty sure there is one right over here” she points to the side of the town hall.
“Ok, but just before I go…. Do you have any job placements?” I could probably do some librarian work.
“Well, I guess there is always room for one more….”
After asking twilight if she had a slot for a worker, she asked me to sit down and have a small interview asking how to stack books and treat books with care, excreta. I asked her if she knew the dewy decimal system, she said she heard of a decimal system just not the DDS so I explained to her how it works, and of course she was fascinated and had her book and quill in her magic.
“This dewy decimal system sounds great! I just may have to implement it myself!” like I said, fascinated.
“Yeah don’t thank me thank” I retrieve my phone, open google because Siri sucks and say “Ok google” it makes that infamous ding. “Dewey decimal system” while google loads the words I had said twilight asks “what are you do-“ google finally loads up and responds to my ‘question’ “According to Wikipedia. The Dewey decimal classification, or the Dewey decimal system is a proprietary library classification system first published in the United States by Melvin Dewey in 1876” google finished I turned to twilight and she had the most surprised look yet so fascinated. I said “you can thank Melvin Dewey for the DDS.” At this point I blew her mind, mouth wide open and all. “So…uh can I get the job?” as soon as I ask that she shakes her head and falls over.
“Oh shit! Umm Spike???” I yell for Spikes name and he comes running
“What? What happened?” he looks to twilight on the floor “What did you do?!?!?
“I don’t know, but I think I just blew her mind with my technology
“Whoa, even that’s a new one for me.”
“I bet. I’m just trying to show off technology in a useful way, unlike some people….” I slowly look towards your direction and say “You filthy animals.”
“What?” ill deal with you guys later….
“What? Oh right. Clean up in the library needed!” I scream. I scoop her up and throw her on the couch in the living room.
“So looks like I’m the only employee in the library today.” Spike sighs
“Actually. I got a job here now. Mind showing me how stuff works around here?”
Spike looks at me and says. “Sure!” finally! The story behind equestria!
“Yes! I mean ok…..” I say showing at least a little appreciation
“Well, let’s get started.”
As we get ready. We grab a bite to eat, I had an apple and Spike had a gem, I think it was a ruby…. Anyways we walk back to twilight in attempt to wake her up, in a very nice and calm matter…
“HEY TWILIGHT WAKE UP WE GOT JOBS TO DO!!!!” I scream as loud as I can, she jumps and starts to panic. I run over to the screaming and panicking twilight, “Whoa!!! Calm down!” she is still wigging out, me just getting tired of it, I calmly handle the situation.
*SMACK*
I slap the shit out of twilight, getting her in order immediately. “OK!!! YOU CALM NOW!?!?!” she nods. “Alright. Now that you’re conscious, it’s time to work.”
“Right.” She walks over to the front desk and begins her session. Spike walks off to the other room. And I’m just standing in the middle of the room, getting use to the order of the books, it more or less went like this, the first cabinet on the left was history, the second was language, the third was magic and potions, the fourth was, science, the fifth was the children’s section and the sixth was the fiction section. Each row went in alphabetic order. I look specifically at the books in the history section. I starting to look at the deep past the history as Equestria Knew it! Anyways, it started off by telling stories about Starswirled the bearded and the legends that help defeat just about every evil there was out there. The rise of equestria’s empire and the fall of changeling army, and Crystal Empire. Discord, and Nightmare Moon. And there is a couple of hiccups like *&!@#(!* (!*@#! *!#@!@, oops. Looks like I can’t talk about that…. Sorry….. I put down the book satisfied by the knowledge I gained, it’s pretty much enough to make a story, I’m goanna note that. The doorbell rang as soon as I put the book back..
I look over to the door and see Lyra. Now, I was expecting her to flip her shit. But… She didn’t. Guess that was bullshit about her studying humans. Unless…. She hasn’t started studying on us yet.
“Hello, is there anything I can do to help?” I opened and also hoping for a response.
“Hi. Um yes I do believe you can help me.” Alright let’s see what she needs help with.
“Ok, what do you help with mam”
“Do you have any books on mythical creatures?” oh. I guess we could become studied.
“I’m not certain but I can look.” I look up top. Looking for the title on the neck of the book, and sure enough. I found it. “Alright, here you go.” I say with a smile on my face.
“Thank you... uhhh Mr.?” oh shit.
“Oh! Right. The name’s Colton, I need to get myself a name tag.” I say as I laugh.
“Yeah you might want one so people can thank you.” She walks off towards twilight to check out the book, she takes the book in her magic and envelops it in a spell (probably a return spell.) and tells her she can leave. Lyra thanks her and walks out the door. “Hey, twilight.” I call her name.
“Yes Colton?” she responds. In a cute little way.
“Can I get a name tag?”
“Of Course!” she magiced over a little clip that I can put a piece of paper on. I write my name on this paper and clip it to my shirt.
“Thanks Twi.” Ok I might have fucked up there.
“What did you call me” oh shit.
“I made you a nickname… is it alright?”
“Uh, yeah! Its fine! There’s nothing wrong with it.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes I’m completely sure.”
“Oooh Kay” after that little piece of dialogue, I decided to go back to the books this time I look for the dates.
“Hold up a second. Twilight, when am I?” which is a really good question.
She looks at me quizzing and asks. “What do you mean by that?”
I look back at her and say “what month, day, and year is it.”
“Oh, in that case its… August 21, 2017”
“Hmmmm.” I think back to what date it was back on earth “that’s weird.”
“What?” Twilight asks
“That’s the exact same date as it was on my planet.”
“Is that a bad thing?”
“I don’t know, but it’s interesting to look into.”
“Well, I guess we can start off with one question. How.”
“Yeah, but we need to theorize latter.” We got back to work after we talked.
5 hours later…
We worked and saw numerous ponies, like Octavia, Doctor Whooves, Berry Punch, and Apple Bloom. With our job finished. We sat down after a long day.
“*sigh* that was fun.” I say exhausted by the day.
“It was, I suppose.” I look down at my phone and the time reads 7:12 Pm “Woah, it’s been that long? It only feels like it’s only been a couple of minutes.”
“Yeah time flies when you’re working.”
“Where has spike been?” I haven’t seen him since he parted into the other room.
“Doing chores. Oh, also cooking.” I give twilight a confused look.
“He cooks?” I mean I know he can cook. Anybody can cook, but spike making supper? That’s slave like.
“Yeah, I can’t cook decent as he can.” Oh well I mean that dulls the slave comment….. by a little.
“What do you mean?”
“Every time I cook something like dandelion soup it ends up tasting nasty. And a little burnt majority of the time.”
“How do you even make dandelion soup?” I think it would be like “our” vegetable soup?
Spike walks in the room and starts talking. “Well first you start off with cooking the dandelions for about 2 minutes, then add the tomato, corn, green beans, and carrots. Add some salt and pepper, and let them simmer at a medium on the stove.”
“Wow… that’s actually not that much different from my kind’s soup. Only difference is we can’t really eat dandelions and say it tastes good. So we eat…. Beans, yeah it tastes better to us.” I don’t want to gross them out right before they eat.
“Well I don’t know about you but I’m starving, let’s eat!” Well another world’s food…. Let’s give this a try!
About 20 minutes later
I, twilight, and spike had a relatively nice conversation whilst eating. (Accept for the part forgetting the dandelions in the soup. I picked them out afterwards.) Spike and I, were talking about pony-friendly foods. And verbally it seems spike really knows his stuff when it comes to cooking. Twilight just can’t seem to grasp that subject. Speaking of Twilight. Twilight and I, were talking about science-y stuff like humans’ findings on laws of the universe.
“Thanks spike. That was some fine cooking! Tastes like mine from back home!” spike looked much appreciated at the fact I said his cooking was great.
“Thanks Colton! I don’t get very appreciated for cooking very often anymore.” It made me feel pretty pleased with what I said to spike, but something caught my mind. My face pretty much drained of emotion, and just left a blank sad canvas.
Twilight noticed, and said “Is everything ok Colton?”
I walked outside. And twilight followed suit. “Colton? Are you alright?” I look up at a now unshaded white circle called the moon.
“Hey twilight.” I ask in a monotone way
“Yes Colton?” she sounds very worried.
“Have you ever been far away from home before?”
“Yeah.”
“I’m getting that feeling.” I take a deep breath “You know, homesick? Only difference is this time I’m unable to return home.” As I shed a couple of tears, I turn to see twilight’s empathetic face
Twilight sighs and says “I’m sorry, I wish there was something I could do.”
“Nah, I think after a while I’ll get used to it.” I say trying to make myself happy.
“Are you sure Colton?”
“Yeah. I think I can deal with it.”
“Can you tell me who you left behind?”
Thinking back makes me a little bit sadder but I forced this question out as best I could. “My little sister. Katie, my older brother. Dale, my father. James and my mother. Jacky.” I took a deep breath. After revealing my family’s names, I began sobbing a little remembering every bit of memory I had with them. Twilight tried her best to comfort me. After all… It’s what friends do.
