Confessions of a Hive "Traitor"
For those of you who don’t know a Hive is far different from a town like Ponyville, we are under a harsh, constant martial law where crimes are either ignored by Peace Keepers or are punished with public executions and beatings, or worse a one way trip to Block H, from the same Peace Keepers, depending upon their moods of course. It’s no wonder there’s so many starving changelings here, as not much love goes around.
Anyway my name is official name is Drone 9961, but I call myself dito. I have decided to, against my own clear thoughts, tell of Chrysalis’ atrocities against Ponykind and simply to tell you all the sad but revolutionary story of my life. I guess it all started when I was a little six year old filly.

“Get up and try again you useless waste of fur!” My instructor screamed as I was knocked to the ground for the third time. I was forced to my feet and made to face my opponent, a much bigger (clearly well nourished) changeling, he grinned darkly as he looked me in the eyes I could tell that his main intention was to hurt me to the point I’d need to go to the infirmary.
“Now that the foal is on her feet we can continue with a real fight.” The instructor looked me in the eyes before rolling hers. “The sad truth is Chrysalis only needs one of you two and personally I’d like to see 9836 kill you Dito so let’s up the stakes,” I grimaced at the cruelty she said my self-appointed name with “I paid off some Peace Keepers yesterday so this fight is to be a fight to the death. Have fun kids.” She said as she walked out of the room.
I simply nodded and looked to my larger opponent. This was exactly the thing I needed, a reason to fight. I mean I’d never killed a pony before but I could only imagine it’s like stepping on a spider. I took my position, and just before I stated I was ready I received a hoof to the mouth. I held my mouth and felt a warm wet feeling I knew too well, blood.
I hopped up and swung my hoof at the colt but couldn’t connect, he dodged and came back with an upper cut which missed my already dislocated jaw by a hair. Before I knew it I was on the ground again seeing double. “I knew this day was going to be perfect.” The colt said in a dark, playful, singsong voice as he stepped on my throat “If you beg maybe I’ll make it quick-“
I looked around in a panic as he spoke, knowing I had very little time to come up with a plan, finally after a few unbearable seconds my brain actually started working. I looked on the desk noticing the teacher had left her pen. Sweet salvation! I thought as I levitated the pen without the colt seeing, as the colt began to raise his hooves I closed my eyes and stabbed the pen at the colt.
All I remember was feeling a ridiculous amount of dead weight, a soft shudder come from his lips, and a warm wet puddle forming around my body. I screamed, yet heard nothing, as I opened my eyes I got blood in them, but not before seeing what I’d done. The pen had lodge between the colts vertebrate into the back of his skull. After that, everything went black…
When I woke up I was in an infirmary, my jaw was fixed and the blood was cleaned from my coat. As I tried to sit up I felt a sharp pain in my ribs. Of course they’re broken. Letting out a shriek I held my side “Oh for Chrysalis’ sake!”
“Yes dear?” I heard a soft voice say in the background. I had heard the voice before but never in the flesh.
“Do excuse me for not bowing to you your majesty” I said almost cruelly.
“Consider it forgiven my child.” She said in a soft hypnotic tone. “Took quite the thrashing I see but it seems brains beats brawn again isn’t that right?” The queen kissed her subject on the cheek. “However there is the matter of a punishment for killing your classmate. Drone 9836 was my subject with rights his death cannot be overlooked I care far too much.”
I shuddered in fear of her punishment. I looked at her sadistic smile and nodded “What do you have in mind my queen?”
“I suppose you’ve heard of Block H?” The queen questioned. “If you haven’t it’s where troubled changelings go to recover from their sins against the hive.” She smiled softly. “I signed your referral and everything, maybe even you’ll make some friends 9961.” She laughed softly as she spoke.

For those who are unaware Hive Block H is basically a jail with no guards designed to hold the changelings the hive simply doesn’t want to have to deal with, like me, and Peace Keepers carry out the bodies at least once a week. They put anyone that the hive decides is a nuisance into a long corridor with three sections. Section A is for the sex offenders, Section B is for true killers, and finally Section C a section for “rebellious” youth. Rebellious youth goes to anyone not considered an adult, thank Chrysalis, I’ll be with lock pickers, brawlers and people who are too smart to buy into Chrysalis’ bullshit.
I had to be escorted through Section A and Section B to get to Section C, as I walked through A I heard the cat calls of old lonely perverts who’d been trapped in Block H for years, I stepped closer to the Peace Keeper guiding me after seeing how lewd and well, let’s move on from that.
As we walked through B things were quiet, if these ponies were all hardened killers you could have fooled me they seemed more civil than anyone else in the Hive. A sweet lady offered me her meal as we walked through which the Peace Keeper promptly tossed to the ground before I could take a bite.
Finally we made it to the door of Section C the Peace Keeper pushed me in and softly whispered “Welcome home Dito”
