Chapter One ~ Trixie's Return {Part 1}
Twilight yawned and woke up as the sun swept across her face. "What a beautiful morning! Princess Celestia really outdid herself today..." she gasped, "Princess Celestia is coming to Ponyville tonight!" she ran into Spike's room, "Spike, get up!"
"Wh-huh?!" Spike woke up in fright. "What's wrong, Twilight?!"
"Princess Celestia is coming for a dinner party at Sugar Cube Corner tonight, and I woke up late! We haven't even started on anything!" Twilight frantically said.
"Don't worry, Twilight, I think that we can get everything done in time." Spike assured her.'
Twilight sighed, "I hope your right. Come on, let's get to Sugar Cube Corner". she trotted to Sugar Cube Corner along with Spike, and when she got inside, everything was messy. There was cake batter all over the place. Twilight gasped.
"What in the name of Celestia happened in here?!" Twilight shouted.
Pinkie Pie smiled awkwardly, "Oh hi, Twilight! Nothing's wrong! I just may have added just a teensy, weensy too much baking soda to a cake mix." she chuckled nervously.
"You...WHAT?!" Twilight exclaimed. She levitated a mop and spoke, "Pinkie! Celestia is going to be here in a few hours and..."
"This place is an absolute mess!" Rarity finished Twilight's words. "So sorry if I interrupted anything, but what's going on?"
Twilight asked, "Wait. Why are you here anyways, Rarity?"
Rarity replied, "Well, you told us all you wanted to meet us here at nine o'clock to start setting up, dear."
"Us?" Twilight questioned.
"Why, me, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Fluttershy, of course!" Rarity explained.
Fluttershy added, "You wanted us all to help out, and by the mess, sure looks like you would."
Twilight sighed and then grinned, "I could use some help. Thank you, girls."
"Ah, no problem, Twi." Rainbow Dash said, but then the girls came rushing in.
Scootaloo screamed, "LOOK OUT! I CAN'T STOP!"
"Scootaloo!" Applebloom called out. "You have to slow down!"
"I can't!" Scootaloo shouted back.
Sweetie Belle and Applebloom stopped running as flour burst all over the room. The impact of Scootaloo's scooter hitting the bags of flour made it so.
"Applebloom! We are tryin' to clean up the mess, not make it bigger!" Applejack said.
"But it was Scootaloo's fault! We told her to turn before the scooter headed towards here!" Applebloom complained.
Scootaloo asked, "Hey, why are you pinning this all on me?! Sweetie Belle wanted me to show off some stunts in the first place!"
Sweetie Belle protested, "Did not!"
"Did too!" Scootaloo retorted.
Applebloom said to them both, "Stop arguing!"
"I'm not arguing, she is!" Sweetie Belle shouted.
Rainbow Dash screamed, "ENOUGH!" she paused after everything went quiet, "I can't take it anymore, just stop bickering all ready!"
Pinkie Pie's stomach growled. "Hey, uh, who's hungry?!"
"Pinkie, how can you think of food at a time like this? We need to clean up this mess!" Twilight said.
Pinkie Pie frowned, and then Rarity looked at the ground. "Ulgh...must I help out? I don't want any of this...batter getting in my mane. Or on my hooves. Or my coat."
Fluttershy had an idea, "I can get my animals to help, if you want..."
"Fluttershy, if you really want to help us out, keep the girls away from here until after the dinner party." Twilight stated.
She frowned, "O-Okay, Twilight...come on, girls. We'll go to my cottage for awhile..."
"But I wanna stay here and help out!" Applebloom pouted.
Scootaloo agreed, "So do I!"
Applejack gave them a stern look, "Go...now!"
"Fine." Applebloom said unhappily. She, Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, and Fluttershy all walked out the door and went to her cottage.
"Girls, why don't you go play outside? I have to feed my animals lunch since they had an early breakfast." Fluttershy suggested.
They all replied, "Okay!" they ran out the door.
Fluttershy remembered, "Oh, but stay away from the EverFree Forest!" they hadn't heard her, but were long gone. Fluttershy thought they had heard her, though, and then went to her closet to get some food to feed her animals.
Scootaloo smiled, "Hey look! A chicken!"
Applebloom gasped, "Oh wow! I think we found your twin, Scoot!"
Sweetie Belle and Applebloom laughed. Scootaloo didn't seem amused, "So funny..."
"Hey, isn't that the EverFree Forest?" Sweetie Belle asked.
Applebloom replied, "I think so. Why?"
"Up for a little adventure?" Sweetie Belle questioned, then looked at Scootaloo, "Or are you chicken?"
"Okay, can you both just stop?! You've made the same joke twice and it hasn't even been a minute." Scootaloo complained. "Besides, I'm not a chicken, I'm the adventurous one! A dare-devil!"
Sweetie Belle smiled, "Then lets go!" all three of them ran in, excited on what they'd find. Unfortunately, not long after, they got lost.
Applebloom groaned, "Scootaloo, come on, it's clear we're lost!"
"No! No, we aren't!" she chuckled nervously, "I'm sure Fluttershy's cottage is just over the next hill."
"You said that five hills ago!" Sweetie Belle called out.
Scootaloo nervously laughed, "All the more reason it could be over this one."
They ran into a unicorn. "Who are you three?" the stranger asked.
Scootaloo screamed, "The headless horse!" they all screamed.
The stranger growled, "I am NOT a headless horse! My name is Trixie!"
"Who?" Sweetie Belle questioned.
"You know, Trixie? The Great and Powerful?" she replied.
Applebloom laughed, "Oh, are you the one who got ran off by Twilight?"
She gasped, "You know Twilight? Twilight Sparkle?"
"Well, she is friends with our sisters." Scootaloo mentioned.
Trixie grinned evilly, "Is that so?" she had a plan just by looking at their flanks. "Say, girls, is there anything you want more than anything in the world?"
Sweetie Belle answered, "Well, we have always wanted our cutiemarks."
Trixie smiled, "Really?! I can make that happen! Just close your eyes. All of you!" she summoned a can of paint and a paintbrush as they closed their eyes. "Now don't open them until I tell you to." Trixie began to carefully paint cutiemarks on all of them to make it look real.
"Haha! That tickles!" Applebloom said.
"Stay still! Or the spell won't work..." Trixie continued to paint their flanks. Once she was done, she casted a flaw spell on all of them. "Done! Oh, and your cutiemarks look amazing!" she added to herself, "If I do say so myself..."
Sweetie Belle looked at her cutiemark, "Look! I have a singing talent!"
"I have a baking talent!" Applebloom smiled.
Scootaloo exclaimed, "Aww, yeah! I got a flying cutiemark!"
"I'm very glad you like them. I must be on my way now. Enjoy your new cutiemarks!" as Trixie turned away, she whispered, "While they last..." she laughed evilly.
