//-------------------------------------------------------// When all was lost -by MrAnime- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Meeting //-------------------------------------------------------// The Meeting He decided to wear a black coat while walking today. He looked around for a spare scarf that just happened to be lying around the castle. Sadly, he couldn't find one, so he sent one of his couriers to go purchase him one. While the courier was gone, Sam went to go look for a hat that'll cover his horns that grew since he took control of his powers. He felt bad for not returning things the way they were, but there was a part of him that was saying that this is what was meant for him. There was also the whole issue with Pitch Black. Ever since the demon entered Sam, he never saw hide nor tail of that weird escapee. He eventually found a nice tall hat that can cover those horns of his with ease. He waited at the gate for his courier to return with the scarf. One of the guards came up to him wearing the new uniform Sam had issued to all staff. They were ordered to wear white armor trimmed with red plated steel. Their weapons were almost the same except the material was different, they were still the standard issue spears, but Sam had forged them himself with a new metal he had discovered himself in the depths of the Equestrian mines. He called it "Equestrian Hell Steel," he wanted to go for an intimidating name, and thought of one from the top of his head. The guard spoke to him, "Sir, you shouldn't be out here. You know the people's opinion of you. they will horde the gates if even one of them sees you," the guard said worriedly. "I know, I'm just waiting for the courier. I'll lay against the gate wall there so no one can see me. After yesterday I've had to come up with an even better disguise. So I sent him to go get a scarf," Sam replied to his guard. As Sam finished his sentence, the courier had just arrived to the gate. "Sir! What are you doing out here!?" the courier asked. "Shh! Not so loud. You don't want the entire city to know I'm out here do you?" Sam quickly snapped. He noticed one of the citizens looking straight at him. "Oh great ... he saw me ..." Sam grunted the stallions eyes lit as he made eye contact with Sam. "Hey, everyone! He's outside! The Glorious One is outside!" The stallion yelled. Soon, just as the guard was afraid of, the gates were horded to the brim with citizens. "Let us see him!" "Don't make him go back inside!" "Stay out here!" "Don't leave us!" his adoring followers called. But at this time, Sam was already back inside the castle with his courier, Lucky Package. Lucky looked at Sam with the "please don't hurt me" smile and handed him the scarf he had bought. Sam snatched it out of his hands and looked fiercely at him. "I'm sorry sir ... This is all my fault ... again," given his name, Lucky Package had anything but luck. Ever since he was a foul, he was struck by insanely bad luck. It was this same mistake that blew Sam's cover the day before. "Just don't make the same mistake again please. I don't mind, but I would really like to go for a walk  once in while," Sam said sadly to Lucky. "Oh!" Lucky had suddenly remembered something, "Sir! The Warden of Prison #51 would like to see you!" Lucky said, frantically, sweat pouring from his forehead. "Really? Well let him in," Sam said while taking off the black coat he had on. He had a new suit tailored since his old one got torn from the apparent battle he had with Princess Celestia and Luna. It was made from a black fabric with red imitation animal fur around the cuffs and neck. His two golden rings were still in place, and he had a custom made horn lock to prevent any power from seeping. The two almost identical guards opened the door that lead to the meeting hall where the Warden was waiting. Sam walked in to see a scruffy stallion in his normal warden outfit patiently waiting for the leader he was waiting for. "I have bad news." the Warden said to him on his deep wise voice. "What is it?" Sam asked. "Pitch Black still manages to slip through our hooves, no matter how close we are." "You mean to tell me you still haven't found him? How hard have your men looked?" "I did say he has slipped through us didn't I? We have looked everywhere ten times over, sir. He always manages to know exactly were we are. It as if someone is supplying him with our information. And we can not have that." "And you think that someone is me? Don't you?" "I did not say that, nor am I insisting that. All I am saying is that someone IS supplying him with information. We need your help." "You know I can't go out there, Mister Warden." "I know, but maybe help us from here. Have your guards walk around the city to look for anything out of the ordinary. Oh and if you happen to learn of the location of Twilight and her friends, do let me know. They have been on the run ever since they attacked you a year after your take over." "I'll be sure to that, Mister Warden." Sam had finished up the conversation with him. He dismissed the Warden, and returned to the throne room to give the orders to his guards to be on the look out for Pitch Black, Twilight Sparkle, and her friends. "I never wanted any of this ..." he finished off with a low monotone voice. "Excuse me, sir?" one of the guards asked. "Nothing! Just go and be on the look out!" Sam demanded with a wave if his hand. "Aye, sir!" the guards shouted in sync. They then marched out of the throne room. Sam was left on his "high horse" to brood. Why did this happen to him? Why does everyone love him? Why did they attack him? He didn't do anything wrong right? That's what he thought anyway. "I'm sorry ... Pinkie Pie ..." a tear dropped from his cheek. ~"I am truly ... sorry ..."
