Grimlock sat down in the middle of the town, silently wondering what happened to him. What had happened to him? He was human one second, then, the next, he wakes up in an unfamiliar land becoming the Age of Extinction Grimlock.

These inhabitants knew who he was, and seemed to recognize him, and he had a massive headache just thinking about all of this. He shook his head softly, then looked down, feeling something tap his leg.

He found himself staring at Twilight Sparkle, the new Princess of Equestria, and found himself wondering what she was saying.

"Uh...Hello, giant, metal...dragon?" Twilight tried to greet, finding herself speechless in front of the massive warrior. "Welcome to Ponyville."

Dart/Grimlock only stared at her, before looking up, seeing Celestia wave at him. She seemed familiar, but he didn't know why. He felt the stares of the town on him.

"I'm one of the Princesses of Equestria, named Twilight Sparkle. And you are...?" Twilight introduced herself, waiting for the giant to respond.

The sound of parts clicking met her as he tried to think of something to say. He looked at Celestia and Luna, then back to Twilight, giving her a curious stare, seeing the wings on her back, despite her human appearance. "I'm Grimlock..."

Twilight jumped a little at the sound of his voice, hearing it. His voice was deep and if one could listen closely, they could hear a metallic undertone, and almost demanded respect without sounding like it.

This drew a chuckle from Celestia and Luna, a blush from Twilight. She noticed the knight like design of his body, but before she could ask anything else, Spike tapped her leg.

"Yes, Spike?"

"So this is the warrior you were talking about?" Spike asked, drawing a confused look from both Grimlock, Celestia and Luna. "Grimlock, the metal knight?"

"Seems kind of a brute to me, than a knight." Rarity said, walking towards Twilight. Grimlock noticed her milky white skin, her purple styled hair, her up tight voice and attitude.

"I'm no knight; I am a king." Grimlock answered the purple scaled dragon. "And I am not dumb, neither deaf." He gave a "small" glare towards Rarity.

"Ah'd hate to interrupt tha reunion." Applejack said, Grimlock quietly noticing her country tone and Stetson hat. "But we've gotta get rebuildin'."

Grimlock looked around, seeing the destroyed buildings, smoke coming from some parts of the city. If he could've blushed, he would've, feeling a little sheepish. He slowly got up, towering over the small humans, making a woman with rainbow hair and cyan blue wings snort at him.

"I could take him." Rainbow Dash muttered to the others.

"No, you can't." Celestia told her, making Rainbow fume. "After all, you can't fight one of Equestria's oldest allies. It'd be seen as treason, wouldn't it?"

"Princess, what are you talking about?" Twilight asked, before a rumbling growl sounded from Grimlock.

"I'll help rebuild your small...town?" Grimlock said, making quite a few construction workers happy and devastated at the same time. "I'll start at once."

The metal giant looked at the crowd of people, silently scanning them, before letting his massive staff shift itself into his arm, to make him less threatening to all of them. Somehow, it made him look even more dangerous to them, knowing he didn't even need a weapon to wipe out the crowd.

His glowing forest green eyes landed on Luna, almost as if asking silent questions. She shrugged, before walking towards Grimlock, patting his leg. Grimlock looked down at her, then back at Celestia. Luna started to walk ahead, Grimlock following her, his feet making the ground shake from under him.

"Looks like more than a few of us need a history lesson." Celestia said, more to herself than anyone else.

"Princess, what is Grimlock doing here? I thought he disappeared over centuries ago!" Twilight said, not noticing Rainbow, Applejack, and Rarity giving her confused looks.

Celestia sighed, rubbing the back of her neck, then replied, "Do you know the history of Grimlock?"

"Ah don't know anythang 'bout 'im. Someone needs ta explain themselves." Applejack replied, making Celestia quickly glance at Grimlock.

"Alright. Twilight, let's go into your castle. I need to explain some things to all of you. Rainbow Dash, go get Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie."

Grimlock looked at Luna, not knowing why she was so familiar. They kept this silence for a few minutes, before Grimlock "coughed" into his hand, catching her attention.

"What was it you wanted to talk about?" Grimlock asked, making Luna scan him with a critical eye.

"Last time we met, you didn't like to talk that much. And you weren't this big." Luna said, making Grimlock confused at what she said.

"Last time?" Grimlock thought, then looked at Luna. "Well, things change." He would play along with the Lunar Goddess.

"Usually, you don't." Luna said, making the large Dinobot snort in reply. "I've known you since Discord's ruling, Grimlock. You're much more wise than last time, actually speaking full sentences now."

Grimlock gave a metallic growl, hearing what she said. "I wasn't stupid before. I was just...changed."

"Like how you change into that beast?"

Grimlock gave a silent look her way, then looked up at the sky. "Yeah. Exactly like that."

Once all the Mane Six were gathered, Celestia sat down, sipping some tea. Spike, however, was told to leave the room, much to his irritation, and the girls sat there, tense and preparing for what she had to say.

"It's time I let you out of the dark, girls." Celestia began, taking a deep breath. "Tell me, what do you know about the first Knights of Equestria, after the rule of Discord?"

Everyone looked at one another, giving each other strange looks. Almost as if they all read each others minds, they looked back at Celestia and all said "No." in reply. She sighed, sipping her tea.

"I must all tell you of a story. A story of the Knights of Destruction and Harmony." Celestia began, everyone listening in. She searched through her thousands of years of memory, before setting her tea down with a loud clink. That caught everyone's attention as she looked at her tea, seeing the brown liquid settle still.

"A long time ago, before the banishment of Luna and before Discord's rise to power, there were for knights; Strafe, Scorn, Slug, and Grimlock," Everyone felt shivers up their spine, noticing Celestia's usually motherly tone go neutral. "They looked like knights, but were so massive and possessed strange powers, and we knew they were no knights...at least, not any knights we knew of. They were alien to this land...to this world."

"Hold up a minute!" Rainbow Dash interrupted, catching everyone's attention, "This is interesting and all, but how did you know this? And how old is this guy, Gridlock?"

"It's Grimlock, and that, as well as many things, will be explained." Celestia answered, before she began again, "They were all different; Strafe commanded the power of flight, but unlike anyone had ever seen. Scorn was sharp as dragon teeth, and was an amazing swimmer. Slug was polite, but his specialty was stabbing his three horns into something. Grimlock, the leader...their King, commanded strength beyond measure, and had flame breath, hotter than dragon fire."

"We all thought them to be giant, metal dragons when we first met them, and Twilight saw why." All of the attention was turned to Twilight, making her blush. "They all could turn into strange creatures, but not by magic. They-"

"No offense, Princess, but that's impossible." Twilight said, every person at the table looking at her. "I mean, how could something...transform...without magic, besides Nature?"

Celestia gave a chuckle, once again gaining everyone's attention. "It actually has to do with their "organs", one in special called a T-Cog. It allows them to change forms, some could change into vehicles, some into weapons, others could change into animals, such as how Twilight saw Grimlock transform. He can change into a giant, metal creature that can breath fire, eat metal...along with half the city once."

They gained confused looks, but Celestia continued on, "Grimlock could change into a prehistoric creature, along with his allies, calling themselves the "Dinobots". Scorn could change into a two legged, giant, crocodilian creature with a mouth full of teeth and three "sails" on her back to boot. Slug had a large shield on his head, with an "Autobot" symbol on the middle of two massive horns, along with one smaller horn on his nose, and two spikes on his lower jaw. Strafe was the strangest one out of all of them. He appeared to be a two headed, two tailed dragon that could walk on his wings, though he had no arms to speak of, and was able to fly at incredible speeds."

A certain rainbow haired woman puffed her cheeks out, silently cursing, feeling a sting at her pride. "Despite how different they were, they seemed to be like family. They also were some of the best fighters anyone had seen in history. Even alone, Grimlock was able to take on Tirek and Discord on his own, and won."

That comment made everyone's eyes go wide, even Twilight's jaw dropped, Rainbow Dash feeling jealous instantly. Applejack whistled in respect, making everyone agree with her.

"Despite what we first believed, they were friendly, at least, everyone but Grimlock. In the past, he was not much of a talker, seemingly to love fighting more than life itself. However, that all changed after Luna got banished. One by one, the Knights disappeared, before finally Grimlock left, saying "he was needed elsewhere"." Honestly, I never though I'd see him again."

"But, Princess, if Grimlock is back, doesn't that mean...?" Fluttershy asked, making Celestia go wide eyed.

"Your right!" She stood up with such urgency the others almost fell back from pure shock. "If Grimlock's here, then that means..."

The others, besides Fluttershy were confused, but were voiced by Applejack, who asked, "What's it mean, Princess?"

Celestia looked at them, giving a fearful look. "If Grimlock is here, that means the Knights are back. And if they're back, someone brought them here for a reason."

The sound of a metallic bellow erupted from outside, catching everyone's attention. They all opened the doors of the crystal castle, seeing the metallic Tyrannosaurus Rex chasing a familiar God of Chaos. In all honestly, they've never seen Discord so terrified in his life, the jaws of the metallic behemoth snapping behind him.

The God of Chaos had light skin, with one massive eye. His pupils were black, the colors of his eyes were red and yellow, and he had one snaggle toothed fang hanging out of his mouth. His clothes looked mismatched, and one horn and an antler were on his head, along with a dragons wing and a birds wing on his back, and a reptilian tail from out from him.

Usually he was cheery, playful. Now, he was filled with horror and was terrified beyond comprehension. Grimlock breathed fire, just missing him in the air, singing his horn and antler's tips.

"Grimlock will crush puny God!"
