A Second Chance

[Day 12. 7:10 am.]
George could not express how worried he was. It wasn't easy for something to get under his skin unless it was something really bad. Unfortunately, something bad did happen. When Spike mutated because of ingesting Lizzies blood, he destroyed most of PonyVille and thankfully only injured a few...dozen...ponies. It also involved all of the monsters showing themselves making the small village a wrestling ring for them. No doubt most of the ponies in the village will remember that day for as long as they live. Not to mention all of Equestria knew about the monsters being their and how close to home they were, no doubt something will happen in the next few days that will either be harmful or safe to him and his friends. Speaking of which, George turned his head to his still sleeping companions. He signed and looked up to the rising sun in the sky. A thought came to his mind as the sun shined on his brown fur.
'We need to leave this place and find somewhere no one will hunt us down or think of us as tourist attractions.'
With that on his mind, George didn't know where to go. The only place he knew about was PonyVille and the forest. Anywhere else was unfamiliar and dangerous to him. George stood up, stretching his arms and trying not make a sound while doing so. He then precedes to quietly slip away from his friends as he walks toward PonyVille.

[7:25 am.]
Luna didn't know what was worse, that fact the monsters have made themselves know through out Equestria or the fact creatures from all over Equestria want them to be destroyed because of what they did to PonyVille. Make matters worse, other countries were threating to send armed forces to kill the monsters themselves. All of this was beginning to become freighting the Luna and her sister Celestia as lawsuit threats were thrown against the two after the destruction. While Celestia was handling the paperwork, she put Luna in charge so she could prevent any more monster attacks. It was top priority that the monsters wouldn't come near another populated area. If they did, Luna didn't want to think about it. It wasn't their fault they were so destructive, it was just how they saw to have fun. That fun however has nearly killed ponies and a entire town. No. Not again.
Luna found herself staring out to the Everfree Forest by a balcony, hearing the rustling of trees in the distance. She signed, thinking back to what Twilight had told them when the attack had ended.
'They used to be something before they mutated. I saw it in Ralphs eyes, he didn't want to remember it.'
Those words tortured both Luna and Celestia through out the day. The thought of these monsters actually being less then what they were was hard to comprehend. An idea came to Luna, what would they be like of the effects of their mutation was released? Would they return to normal or would they die without it? Luna rubbed her hoof on her chin in thought. This would be an idea to share to her sister later on when she's done. First however, she would need to consult one of them. Luna spread her wings the in the glow of the sun and leaped off the balcony with grace. Flapping her wings in the wind, Luna sped toward the Everfree Forest where the monsters had made a part of it their home.
Luna turned past a mountain to see five monsters participating in random tasks. George was sleeping in a pillow of trees. Lizzie and Marco were swimming in a lake. Ralph and Harry were sitting on their rears and eating animal corpses. Luna coughed in her hoof, catching the attention of Ralph and Harry below her. The blue wolf spoke with a bloody lip and a lump in his cheek.
"Oh hey Luna! What's up?"
Luna lowered herself onto Ralphs knee as he chewed what ever was in his mouth.
"I came here to ask something of you. All of you."
All the monsters heard Luna and turned their heads toward her direction. She was the center of attention of the monsters now, she better make it count.
"I wish to know about you five in your past lives."
George sprung up from his sleep and kneeled down at the princess on Ralphs knee. His look of anger made Luna slightly flinch.
"Why do you need to know?"
"Because..." Luna took in a deep breathe.
"I want to turn you five back to normal."
Ralphs food spurt from his mouth. Blood and pieces of flesh flying and raining on Luna. She wiped away the fluid as looked up to see wide eyed wolf and gorilla looking down at her. Luna felt herself shrunk inside but she kept her baring. George broke off from his gaze and walked back over to his tree pile. Laying down with a scoff.
"Cant be done. We've been stuck as monsters for years now, we lost our way of becoming normal again a long time ago."
Luna was flabbergast. She flew over to George and landed on his chest. He raised an eye lid and stared at the lunar pony on his chest.
"Sheryl their must be a way to reverse to return you to normal?" she asked determined.
George closed his eye lid and laid his head back on the tree pile. Luna narrowed her eyes. Georges breathing was raising her up and down in the air, nearly losing her balance. George grabbed Luna around her waist with his fingertips and placed her on his shoulder.
"Listen little pony, don't you think someone had TRIED making us normal again? You name any genetic test, I guaranty we have been in it."
Luna felt herself feel sorry for the monsters as George told her about being imprisoned in a laboratory and escaping it to destroy entire cities in months. Then he came to the part where his friends accidently stopped an alien invasion and how they were classified as heroes, for about a few months until they broke out again. A thought came to Luna as George finished his story.
"Don't you miss it?"
George turned his eye to her in question.
"Miss being normal? Yeah I do. We all do. We miss talking to normal people and having normal lives but being giant monsters was a dream come to true to some of us, to others it was a curse."
Luna didn't know what to say. It was odd hearing this about a monster missed being normal but they didn't want to return to normal. The whole situation didn't make sense to her. Another thought came to her.
"Who says you have to be permanently normal?"
Again all the monsters turned to Luna but this time crowded around her and George. All their eyes wide with interest.
"What do ya mean doll?" Marco said.
"What I mean is, I think I might know somepony who can change you five into ponies and also will allow you to change back into monsters at will!" she said excited.
All the monsters exchanged glances to each other. The thought of being like were-monsters sounded intriguing to them. Luna flew up from the Georges shoulder and looked down at the five monsters.
"I will be back later with the spell. You all just wait here!"
With that Luna flew off toward deeper into the forest, leaving excited monsters looking at each other. Harry didn't trust this situation. It seemed out of place.
"I don't believe this rubbish with my life!"
Lizzie turned to the white haired ape.
"What choice do we have Harry! We can have a chance to be normal again!"
Harry turned his attention to the lizard and crossed his arms.
"When was the last time that was told to us? Did it work?"
The monsters went silent. Harry was right, time and time again the monsters were told they would become normal again but all that happened was them being locked up in prison cells and never seeing day light. If Luna said was true, they would have lives again and also would keep being monsters. The opportunity was hard to pass up. George stood up and looked to his friends.
"Whether its BS or not, if were offered being normal again. We are taking it."
The monsters roared in agreement. This was their chance, a chance to become normal again. Then a thought came to Ralphs mind as the cheering pressed on.
"Hold on...wouldn't we be ponies of we returned to normal in this world?"
The monsters thought about it for a minute. Marco roared in the sky.
"GOD DAMMIT!"
