It's been a week since the Batmare has apprehended the mobster known as Black Mask, a feat that Applejack Apple perceived to be a major dent in the crime of Ponyville.

However, a new criminal has surfaced. One that cannot be conceived, analyzed, comprehended, and, as far as anypony is concerned, stopped. When the villain proves herself to be more than the Batmare can handle, she decides she has to go back to the very root of the problem and halt it where it began.
