A man named Daren Platt born being color blind, seeing only grey, seeks a cure for his disability.
He runs into a few scientists who say they can cure his disability by going into a matrix of a random reality.
It turns out he got the privilege of being in Equestria and somehow morphed into a pony.
Restarting a new life as a pony, he meets Lyra HeartStrings and she helps him adjust to pony life.
Lyra introduces him to Pinkie Pie at a party, who introduces him to the rest of the gang.
He doesn't tell anyone about the human world except Lyra, who he trusts dearly.
When it is time to leave this reality he fights the machine's will to put the man back into reality.
