Revenge Will Belong To Everypony
Chapter 3 Bucktown, The Tropical Paradise
Previous ChapterNext ChapterWe traveled through the night and made it there by the morning. I was riding on top of Night Wing on his back. We had flown there. We still had our weapons. Bucktown was a tropical environment with palm trees.
Night Wish informed, “Be on your guard. There may be other ponies besides the ones were looking for residing here. There have been many reports that nomad ponies live here. But they have been unconfirmed. There’s also reports that ponies have been coming here to kill themselves. So be on the look out for any bodies.”
We passed a large faded sign, standing from two poles that protruded from the ground that said, “Welcome To Bucktown.”
Bucktown was abandoned, it was a ghost town. There were only a few streets still having untouched buildings that were mainly on the beach front, but all the remaining buildings were run down. The rest of the town’s buildings were burnt or horribly destroyed by explosions that resulted due to the fire. The whole town was a remnant of its former self, even the buildings unharmed by the wildfire. Oopsy Daisy had accidentally burned down the whole town when she set fire to a construction site in order to prevent deforestation and the destruction of nature. Her husband Stone Cold was a regular of Rainbow Hearts at the Rainbow Spa for the wrong reasons. Many ponies died when the fire broke out and consumed the town. It was not a pretty picture. Rainbow Heart and Double Rainbow had witnessed it first hoof.
“We’re here. Now what?” Night Wing asked.
I answered, “We have to find out where the evil ponies are hiding. I have a few ideas where we can look for clues. Head to The Rainbow Spa. It’s nearby.”
We arrived momentarily. I hopped off Night Wings back and stood at the charred door to my old spa. I gazed up at the building, its sign hanging and blackened. This was my old spa or the remains of it at least. The Rainbow Spa was its name. I asked the other two to stay outside while I entered The Rainbow Spa, knowing that it could be painful for me. The two pegasi complied, knowing it was once my business and would not be easy for me. I entered the building.
“What am I supposed to find?” I asked myself out loud.
The place was a mess and heavily burnt. Thinking I might find another message in pony blood, I looked over every square inch of what was left, moving equipment out of the way, but I did not find anything. I returned outside.
Night Wish and Night Wing said that they explored the town from an aerial view while I was searching inside.
“We didn’t find anything.” Night Wish informed. “At least from the air.”
“There is one other place, I can think of. The Furry Bowling. It’s where Double Rainbow and I met for the first time.” I stated.
We walked alone through the streets. The bowling alley was close to downtown next to the Ocean Beach. It was a beautiful town when it was alive was all I could think. We arrived at the building. I opened the dirty door and walking into the filthy building. We walked in and began looking around as a group. Breaking the silence and startling Night Wish and myself, Night Wing farted. We looked at him frowning.
“Sorry.” Night Wing stated.
“A little warning next would be appreciated.” Night Wish stated, smelling its awful stench.
We looked around for a little while longer.
“There’s nothing here.” Night Wish said.
“You sure about that.” I stated.
“Pretty sure.” She reiterated.
“Look at the scoreboard on lane two.” I informed.
Night Wing and Night Wish walked over and looked at it. Written on a clean sheet of white paper in black ink was “The Slaughterhouse.”
While their backs were turned to me, I used The Sleep Spell on both of them. They passed out, snoozing and snoring.
“I can’t risk you two getting hurt. This is my fight.” I stated.
I walked to The Slaughterhouse, not seeing any urgency to get there quickly. It would take a little bit to get there by hoof anyways. It was actually just outside the town on the north side, surrounded by palm trees on the beach front. It was a large facility and I knew where it was. I would be face to face with these evil ponies soon. I just hoped I was up to the task. I figured it was probably a trap, which is why I wanted to leave Night Wing and Night Wish in a safe place as backup as well, in case I failed.
