Rainbow Dash snickered, wiping her eyes on her sky blue tank top. "It was so obvious!" She had just pulled a pretty sweet prank on Mr. Cake. Long story short, he had panicked to make a new batch of oat cakes when his original batch 'vanished'. Applejack was practically snorting with laughter. "Geez that was fun!" "Wow girls! I didn't know pranking could be so much fun!" Twilight giggled The three girls giggled for a few minutes before a military themed ringtone went off somewhere. Rainbow Dash pulled out her phone. "Ugh hold on" She clicked a button and held the receiver to her ear. "Hi Dust Bowl ... Sorry, Dusty" she rolled her eyes. "Again? That's the third time this week! ... Okay okay, I get it. Um..... " Rainbow Dash paused to check her watch. "Okay, be there by 3:30? ... Gotcha. ... Yep. See ya" click! "Well, looks like I'm headed to the doctors." "Again? How many times does Scootaloo need to get checked out?" Applejack asked with a raised eyebrow. "I don't know, probably a medicine refill where Scootaloo freaked out again and got taken to an examination room. I promised I'd be there by 3:30 so, gotta run. I'll see you guys later." She jogged off without another word. "Bye!" both girls called after her. *************** On the jog to the doctor's office, Rainbow thought about how many times she'd been on this path. Was it sad that she had memorized the route to and the floor plan of a place that was literally medical needles wrapped in jungle print wallpaper? Well she had. For what reason, she had no clue. As far as she knew, Scootaloo hadn't always been like this. In fact, she was a pretty good kid. Sure she had her fair share of cuts and scrapes but what 11 year old tomboy wouldn't? Then there was the camping trip. Scootaloo had confessed she had sisterly affections toward Rainbow Dash, and it was like a barrier had broken. Scootaloo seemed more relaxed. She never tried to impress the older girl anymore because, well, she didn't need to. Rainbow Dash had hosted a couple sleepovers and helped Scoots with her flying. Then there was the matter of meeting the parents. Scootaloo's folks were good people at heart, but they were definitely the eager beaver type. Her father Dust Bowl insisted on being called Dusty, and (very cheerfully) corrected anyone who called him by his full name. Scarlett Swirl, her mother, was obviously a hipster. She left the room whenever the TV was on and went to listen to her radio. She wore the thickest glasses she could find and striped scarves all the time. Rarity couldn't even go inside the house because it was covered in floral print and black. Scarlett bumped wrists with you, claiming that shaking hands and fist bumping were too mainstream. Scootaloo was always glad to get out of the house, but lately she had been confined to her room. She hadn't been to a crusader meeting for almost a month as far as Dash knew. It was all because of about a month after the camping trip. Scootaloo turned into a downright brat. A typical answer from her these days was either 'Yeah sure, now leave me alone' or 'In your dreams, now leave me alone'. She had taken to keeping her volume as loud as possible so you could barely tell she had headphones on. She death glared any visitors she didn't know before stomping up to her room, making as much noise as she could and slamming the door loud enough to rattle the china in the kitchen. Then, everything got about as bad as it could. Two weeks ago, Scootaloo had shown everyone exactly what she was capable of. She had knocked out the guards and broke into town hall. Two tranquilizer darts were found in the guards' necks. They followed the trail of broken scooter pieces to find Scootaloo committing all out vandalism. After breaking into town hall she had found the Mayor's resume for running for reelection. She had written several choice words all across the paper in Sharpie and splattered paint all over the office's clean tan walls. She had shredded about three quarters of the papers in the 'Important Documents' file and emptied the paper shredder so the evidence was lost to the trash bin. She had taken her Sharpie and was about to doodle something on the Mayor's portrait (probably a mustache or something just as immature) when Dash and two police men found her. After Scootaloo was released from her 48 hours in prison, she was immediately put on medication for whatever was making her do this and had regular appointments with doctors and therapists, none of which she would talk to about her feelings. Most put it off as high stress levels, but apparently the doctors had hit a breakthrough today and Dash needed to be there. ********************** As her jog slowed to a walk, she calmly breezed her way into the hospital and went directly to the room Scootaloo was in. Scarlett Swirl and Dust Bowl sat in chairs off to the side while Scootaloo sat on the exam table in her tank top and shorts.(she put up a fight if they tried to put her in a hospital gown). Dash took the empty seat and glanced at the 11 year old. Scootaloo kept her head down and her mouth pulled into a scowl. Not that it was different from her usual expression these days. "Hi, Dusty, Hi Scarlett," she said, turning to the adults and trying to start up a conversation. "Hiya, there, Rainy-bow Dasheroo!" replied Dust Bowl. Dash was pretty sure he was a car salesman or something just as perky and annoying. "Greetings, Ms Rainbow." Scarlett drawled out. Saying hi and calling someone by their last name was officially mainstream apparently. Dash glanced around the (sadly) familiar exam room. "Um, so.... do we have any clue what this is all about?" Dusty shrugged "Oh, the doctor called and said he might have an answer to our problems but he needed to look over Scoots again. Dr Monitor wanted another adult close to her to be here for the result, and our little daughter immediately picked you. So why don't we all just sit a spell and wait for him to get back, shall we?" Dash nodded and shifted her attention to Scootaloo, who was swinging her feet and scowling. Seeing how Scoots hadn't hit a growth spurt yet, her feet were awkwardly sitting about a foot above the floor, lazily rocking back and forth, back and forth. "So kiddo, you doing okay lately?" Dash said, twisting her head to look the girl in the eye. Before the girl could answer, the door swung open and s man in a lab coat known as Dr. Monitor came into the room. "We have a diagnosis!" he cried. Everyone in the room sat up. "Scootaloo is juvenile delinquent, plain and simple!" Silence. Then glares of disbelief. " I am quite serious" The doctor said. "But we have a cure. What Scootaloo needs is firm, guiding hand to help get her back to where she began. Scarlett grew flustered. "Oh, Doc, i assure you we've been-" the doctor held up and hand to silence her. "Miss Swirl, i am aware of that. Perhaps i should have phrased it differently. Scootaloo needs to get out of the house. She needs to live under different rules for awhile, maybe with someone who's seen what's it's like in strict places. And that, Miss Dash, is where you come in." Everyone was looking directly at the rainbow haired girl. She gulped. "M-me?" Author's Note My first story! This is an idea that's been swirling in my head awhile, and since i joined the site recently, why not? Feedback is most certainly welcome, as i'm still a beginner at this. From here it will gradually get darker. Not comfortable with that, i suggest you move on now. If you are comfortable with it, by all means stick around! //-------------------------------------------------------// 2: Home Sweet Home?** //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note CONTAINS SPANKING! ** will be in a chapter title if it has a spanking in it. 2: Home Sweet Home?** "Why me? It's not like I have any training with this stuff!" Dr Monitor was calm. "You've seen what it's like in a stricter place, and survived, passed with flying colors even! If you were to at least somewhat imitate your instructor's methods, I'm sure you could easily help Scootaloo!" Rainbow, on the other hand, was not calm. "What?! No I haven't! W-what are you talking about? What the hell are you..." "Miss Dash, please try to remember who is here. And I am talking about your time at the Wonderbolt's Academy. Was it or was it not a strict place that required rules and boundaries to operate smoothly?" Rainbow Dash took a deep breath and nodded sheepishly. "Yeah. The rules were set straight off and we were disciplined immediately if we broke one." "And what, may I ask, was the penalty for such behavior?" Dash turned a deep scarlet. "Well, I... uhh... corporal punishment..." "...I see. Well, with the consent of Dust Bowl and Scarlett Swirl, you would not only be able to take Scootaloo into your care and into your house until she is... better, but you would also be able to execute this punishment on her if she fails to obey your orders and desires." Scootaloo looked up and spoke, both things were done for the first time since Rainbow Dash walked in. "What the fuck are you talking about you crazy ass doctor?" This language resulted in a death glare from three adults, but Rainbow was the one to explain. "He's saying that if your parents say yes you could come live with me, basically as a form of mental therapy, and I would be able to punish you if you keep behaving like you have been" "Like I have been? The hell is that supposed ta mean ya insane alcoholic?" Rainbow Dash took a deep breath. "Scootaloo, wanting a glass of cider when the season comes is not the same as being an alcoholic. And you're not from the ghetto so why are you talking like that? Anyways, yes, like you have been behaving. You've been completely reckless and irresponsible, and it's ended with you being grounded. Although, most people would argue that your deserve a lot more than that." "Dash? No offense here but, i don't wanna live with someone whose idea if responsibility is feeding lettuce to a turtle" "Tortoise. And sorry kid. but you don't really have a choice in this. Im willing to give it a shot, and doctor's orders. If your parents say yes, then say hello to Dashville for a few weeks." "Dashville? What you're the mayor of a town now?" "I prefer president, but close enough" "Whatever." Scootaloo huffed, rolling her mauve eyes and crossing her arms. "So!" Dr Monitor said suddenly, trying to make the situation less awkward (it didn't work). "Do Scarlett and Dust give their consent for Rainbow Dash to become Scootaloo's legal guardian temporarily?" Dusty and Scarlett glanced at each other and shrugged. "That would be of interest to me" "If it'll make my little baby girl for better then you can bet I'm willing to give it a go!" Dust Bowl gave the doctor a (probably rehearsed) double thumbs-up and a smile. "Alright. I'll go get the paperwork.!" ****After a lot of boring legal stuff Scootaloo insisted we didn't go into*** "Well, make yourself at home kiddo." Scootaloo had arrived at the large 3 story mansion. Rainbow Dash lead her through the house, showing her rooms she could and could not go into. "There's the kitchen, first floor bathroom, my room, rec room, den, and here's your room!" Rainbow Dash flung open the door to reveal a medium sized bedroom. A twin bed sat in one corner, and desk in another, and a dresser in a third. A few posters, mostly Daring Do and the Wonderbolts, (which were two separate posters and, to the dismay of Dash, not an actual title in A.K. Yearling's series) had been stuck on the walls. Scootaloo opened a door in the fourth corner to reveal a clothing rack, a few hangers, and lots of dust. A small closet, but it got the job done. Scootaloo's bedroom was pretty decent, there were even some paper and pencils in the desk drawers. As Scootaloo began unpacking, Dash glanced at the clock above the twin bed. 5:15. filling out the last of the paperwork had taken longer then she thought. She would have to start dinner. "Okay, squirt. You unpack and get settled in. Feel free to explore, just don't go into a room if the door isn't open. I'll be in the kitchen making dinner if you need anything. Bathroom's down the hall for your toothbrush and stuff. Have fun." Dash left without another word and went to boil some water for noodles. After Scootaloo unpacked, she sat on her bed, swinging her feet and looking around. She took a piece of paper and doodled for awhile, then got bored with that and decided to look around the house. A few doors down was a door marked "Do not open" in large red letters, but when Scootaloo reached for the handle, it wasn't locked. Very obviously going against Dash's words, she tiptoed into the room. And was met with a shimmering sight. "This is Dash's trophy room?" ******* Rainbow Dash shook some pepper onto the noodles and set it on low heat while she got Scootaloo. She started up the stairs. And was met with a horrifying sound. The sound of a million metal objects clanking, and some glass breaking. She ran up to the source of the noise: her trophy room. She threw open the door to find a single 11 year old. Surrounded by awards. Glass figurines were shattered. Trophies were dented. Medals were scratched. And Scootaloo was terrified. Rainbow Dash silently swept the worst of the mess into the trash can. Then, without a word, took Scootaloo to her own room. Sitting on the older girl's bed, Scootaloo felt small. For the second time she could remember, Dash was actually mad at her. She had heard something about corporal punishment. ....WAS THAT WHAT RAINBOW WAS GOING TO DO?! Rainbow Dash didn't seem to be looking for an implement. She just sat down on the bed. But then, the rain of disappointment came. "Scootaloo. I'm not mad. I'm glad that nothing hit you. But didn't I say to stay away from closed doors?" "It wasn't locked. I just wanted to-" "I said closed. It doesn't matter if it's locked. If it was closed, you shouldn't have opened it. Do you understand?" Scootaloo hung her head. "Yeah...." "Good" With that, Rainbow Dash grabbed Scootaloo by the arm and unceremoniously lay her facedown on her lap. "R-rainbow? What are you doing?" Scootaloo stuttered, even though she knew it was coming. SMACK! "Spanking you. I was told to discipline you the same way my instructor at the Acadamy disciplined us." SMACK! "And this was how Spitfire taught me a lesson more then once." SMACK! "Ow! Dash! Please! "Sorry kid." SMACK! You've gotten off Scott-free for too long. SMACK! SMACK SMACK SMACK!" "Ouch! Please! I'm sorry!" "Oh, you will be." SMACK! The tears were really flowing now. Scootaloo resigned herself to her fate. But she didn't even try to keep from crying. "Ow! Dash! Whyyyyyy" SMACK. "Owi!" Dash was silent for the rest of the spanking. SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK! And it was over. Dash awkwardly cradled the sore girl in her lap. They sat like this for awhile. Let it out, baby. I know how it feels. Rainbow Dash let Scootaloo have her bitter tears. Eventually Dash flung a strand of her multicolored hair out of her face and stood up, taking the eleven year old by the hand. "Come on. Let's go get some dinner." TO BE CONTINUED
