Sunset Shimmer and her friends have been through a lot recently, thanks to the Sirens disrupting the school's peace during what was supposed to be the Musical Showcase. Now, however, they've found a new way to pass the time: Duel Monsters! The game has become very popular at Canterlot High, and it's not just students who are enjoying the game; some of the faculty have taken a liking to dueling, as well!

However, with the announcement of a school-wide tournament, and the promise of exclusive cards to whoever comes out on top, strange occurrences have begun to take place; new students and staff are showing up every day, and many of the competitors are vanishing or becoming injured. Is someone taking the game a little to seriously, or is it the duelists who aren't taking the game seriously enough?

I've wanted to write some sort of Yu-Gi-Oh! story for a few years, and becoming a brony has given me the perfect universe to do a crossover with it. I hope you like it! This story takes place shortly after Rainbow Rocks.
