Twilight Can't Draw

"Rarity! Look at the amazing picture I drew!" Rarity was in the castle talking to Twilight when Sweetie Belle ran in yelling excitedly. She was jumping around and waving a piece of paper in her sister's face. Rarity stopped and looked at the drawing. It was a really cute dog, but it wasn't very realistic. This bugged Rarity.

"It's very cute, Sweetie, but I bet I can draw an even better one!"

"Cutie Mark Crusaders Drawing Contest! YAY!" Scootaloo and Apple Bloom burst through the door.

"Oh you are SO ON!" shouted Rarity, and the contest began. Twilight just sat there, thinking.

"Wait! Can I draw too? I'm totally going to win this contest, because I've read so many How To Draw books!"

"Sure Twilight, but I don't think those books will help you," Scootaloo replied. "Because my drawing's gonna be totally awesome!"

So Princess Twilight got a pencil and a piece of paper, sat down at her desk, and drew...

"A penguin?" Apple Bloom asked.

"No, it looks like the Smooze! but if you turn this way it looks like a rocketship! Maybe the Smooze is going to Mars! Mars is awesome-"

"Scootaloo, if you like Mars so much, why don't you go to Mars?" Sweetie Belle was confused.

"I can't go to Mars. You need a rocketship! Do you have a rocketship Sweetie Belle?"

"Girls!" Rarity interupted. "Stop arguing and let Twilight tell us what it is!" Everypony went silent. Twilight was smiling proudly at her peice of paper, like the Penguin-Smooze-Rocketship was the best thing she ever drew.

She suddenly started laughing. "You're all wrong! I drew my castle! Isn't it the best castle you've ever seen?"

Nopony said anything, until Apple Bloom spoke up. "Ya know, it kinda does look a tiny little bit like a castle...if you turn it...upsidedown?...and then you squint really hard. Can't you guys see it?"

Rarity, Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo all said "Yeah! it does look like a castle!" in totally sarcastic voices that all meant, "No, it doesn't, but I'm doing this to be nice." They all just stood there, smiling, the contest forgotten.

After about 3 seconds of akward fake smiling, Sweetie Belle couldn't take it. She just randomly started singing, but you could barely hear the words through her laughter.

Since she had made this up two seconds ago, and didn't have any other lyrics, she just repeated that over and over. The other Crusaders caught on quickly. Soon half of Ponyville had come to see what they were singing about. "What's this?" shouted Pinkie Pie. The party pony took one look at Twilight's drawing and yelled, "YAY! RANDOM SONGS! C'MON PONYVILLE! LET'S SING!" and everypony started singing along.

Then, they heard The Royal Canterlot Voice come out of nowhere. "Princess Luna orders you to tell her what you are singing about! The song's not even that funny!"

"Oh yeah?" Rainbow Dash shouted, as she flew over to the princess, who was standing in the doorway. "Let's hear you sing a song, right now in front of everypony!"

"I will not do this thing called "singing in front of everypony!"

"Are you that bad a singer?" challenged Rainbow. The room was silent. But suddenly, a small voice sang.

"Luna can't sing

Luna can't sing

Luna cannot sing

She only reads books and she cannot sing

Even if she's reading a how-to-sing book"

All eyes were on Sweetie Belle. "Sweetie, what are you doing?" Rarity whispered angrily. "This a princess you're singing about. Well, actually, princesses, because Twilight is a princess now. If you're not carefull, your special talent will be making fun of princesses!"

Sweetie Belle ignored her sister and kept singing. Her voice just got louder, and her smile got bigger, and Ponyville stood there watching as the small unicorn sang,

and her horn started glowing? A tiny green magical light was swirling around it, growing bigger and brighter until a stream of green magic burst out of her horn and hit Luna.

Twilight, who was standing next to Luna, yelled "what did you do to the Princess? You're going to get in so much trouble-"

Luna was singing. The song didn't really have words, but it was good.

"How?...but she's a horrible singer...I don't get it..." a very shocked Rainbow Dash hovered in the middle of the room. "This is SO AWESOME!"

Twilight was grinning. "Magic that can make somepony good at singing! Interesting..." The over excited princess rushed off to the library. There was another flash of light.

"Sweetie Belle! Look!" Scootaloo and Apple Bloom shouted.

"I GOT MY CUTIE MARK!" Sweetie Belle yelled.

Pinkie started bouncing around. "YES! SEE YOU LATER PONIES! GOTTA GO PLAN A PARTY!"

Sweetie Belle's cutie mark was a heart with a microphone in the middle. "It means you can do magic that makes other ponies good singers, and that you're a good singer!" Twilight told her.

"Awesome! Maybe I can use it on Scootaloo!"

"My singing isn't that bad!"

"Really?" qestioned Apple Bloom.

"Scoots can't sing-" Sweetie Belle started.

"Wait! Twilight can't draw! Remember?"

"Oh yeah!

As Twilight got chased out of the castle, she thought, this is going to be a loooong day.
