//-------------------------------------------------------// Story Of Goku -by That_Random_Writer- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Last Spark Of Hope - Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Last Spark Of Hope - Prologue On the opposite side of the same galaxy as Equestria. There was a planet named Vegeta, the home of the war-hungry saiyans. Most of them were under the universally feared Frieza's rule and they were very efficient at their work. Saiyans were a race similiar looking to humans, but what distinguished them was the tail of a monkey, the incredible potential for combat and their slow aging. Everytime they got hurt in combat and healed afterwards they became stronger. They completed every hard task Frieza threw at them and did most of the dirty work... but one day Frieza got to hear an old legend that told that of the 'Super Saiyan', a warrior so powerful it could defeat even him. This led to him slowly betraying the saiyans, who were very loyal to Frieza. One group of saiyan mercenaries led by a saiyan man named Bardock went on a mission, but as Bardock got hurt they continued on without their leader. Receiving orders from Frieza they went to a planet by themselves but as they got there they got ambushed by Frieza's other henchmen while Bardock was being healed in a healing tank. Bardock found out about that his group was out on a mission and went to that planet as well, only to find the corpses of his friends, and as he mourned for them, Frieza's henchmen tried ambushing him but he succeeded to hold them off until an elite soldier, by the name Dodoria wounded him and then left the planet. He survived the wounds and now he knew that Frieza was going to kill their entire race soon, everyone else was oblivious to it. Even the saiyan king himself... Bardock had to do it himself, while his newly born son; Kakarot, was being sent to the corner of the galaxy to some unknown back-water planet to conquer it when he grows older. His child was weak, but Bardock knew he had unlimited potential. That's at least what he felt when he last visited his child before going off on another mission. But, time was running out and Bardock had to stop Frieza... "Frieza!" The proud saiyan warrior named Bardock shouted as he dashed towards Frieza's ship that was orbiting planet Vegeta and slammed his fist right into the face of one of Frieza's henchmen before flying off to the next person, constantly shouting Frieza's name. Bardock knew time was running scarce and kept dashing forward, his whole race was about to disappear in a flash but he was alone on this mission, all the other saiyans had not believed him when he told them about the danger that was about to come. At least, if this mission would not succeed. He could be happy to know that his son is on his way to a planet, so that there would still remain someone who could let the Saiyan legacy continue on... Bardock looked up at where Frieza's spaceship was and began speeding up, he didn't even bother to throw off the weak excuses for soldiers that clung onto him and tried to prevent him from reaching Frieza but he kept going; all the while screaming the name of Frieza. The hatch to the UFO-shaped spaceship opened and Frieza slowly floated up. His soldiers stopped trying to hold Bardock back and let him fly up to Frieza. Bardock had never seen Frieza before... but he didn't expect Frieza to look like he did. Frieza was an androgynous alien with a lithe body. His skin had a slight purple tint to it and what seemed like gills were on the side of his humanoid face. What seemed to be a white helmet on his head had two horns protruding on each side of it and it was built around something like a purple crystal which was in the middle. But, he couldn't tell if Frieza was a male or female. He knew he was often referred as a male but he had feminine features. But what rubbed him off most was the lipstick that Frieza had... but enough with inspecting the tyrant, Bardock thought as he looked at Frieza who looked strangely calm but frustrated at the same time. "Frieza," Bardock said in a smug voice. "He has come out!" Some random soldier exclaimed in a surprised voice. Other's began gasping in awe and looked at Frieza who glared at Bardock slightly with a frustrated look. "Heh, it all comes down to this," Bardock began, looking at Frieza who began raising his index finger as a small little ball appeared over it. "My fate, planet Vegeta's, Kakarot's!" He continued, his left hand opening up slightly while talking. "And yes, heh, hehehe! Yours too, Frieza!" Bardock exclaimed as a blue swirling sphere the size of his hand appeared in his open palm. "We settle it here!" Bardock shouted as he quickly pulled his hand back before throwing it forward as if he was throwing a spear, the sphere of energy being the spear in this case. Frieza began to smile wickedly and laughed as the small energy projectile approached. "Ahahahahahaaa!" He laughed, raising his index finger even more and reaching up with his hand over his head as the small globe of energy began to expand at the tip of his finger. The globe grew as big as a small mountain and the energy projectile Bardock had thrown hit the globe and absorbed into it... "W-w-what t-the?!" Bardock exclaimed as his eyes widened in shock. "Ahahahaha!" Frieza laughed before calmly pointing his finger forward, sending the big globe of destructive energy flying forward against his own army and Bardock. The screams of thousands were silented as they came in contact with the ball, Bardock was too late, he couldn't avoid it... the sphere hit him and his armor began to disintegrate. He didn't even feel the pain, it just happened. "Kakarot!" He screamed at the top of his lungs before his body became nothing in the energy ball... The globe of energy continued it's course and began crashing down against planet Vegeta where the citizens screamed in peril, the ball crushed into the planet and began causing earthquakes and raptures in the ground as it traveled deeper and deeper until it hit the core and exploded, making all the screams go silent in a second. "Hahahahaha! Dodoria! Zarbon! Come look at the fireworks! Aren't they pretty?!" Frieza shouted as he kept laughing maniacally, staring in awe as planet Vegeta exploded... But, unbeknownst to Frieza. A saiyan child by the name 'Kakarot' had been sent away some minutes before... And that same pod Kakarot was sitting in was on it's way to it's destination at the outskirts of this galaxy, were one day, he would grow up and hopefully end Frieza's tyranny. After a year and a half in Equestria, our story continues on a beautiful moonlit night on a farm... a familiar farm that many know of... "'Ey there lil' miss, aren't you a cute lil' bugger? Yes you are!" Granny Smith said as she nuzzled a little foal, a little foal that we will all soon know as Applejack. "Oh, she is. Isn't she?" Applejack's mom said with a warmhearted smile, her fur was a dark shade of purple and her mane was a lighter shade of pink, she also had white freckles. "Heh, Big Mac has been curious to see her ever since we went to the hospital I suppose. He'll be in for a real surprise when he wakes up and gets to see his little sister," Applejack's dad said who came up next to his wife and laid one of his hooves around her neck and hugged her. He had a blue-grey fur and a bondi-blue mane. "Oh, Ah bet! Darn colt has been slackin' off with his job while ya two were gone!" Granny Smith said jokingly as she took a hold of the sleeping Applejack and sat back on a chair. The two parents moved over to the window with a smile on their face and looked out onto the night sky filled with stars and the glowing half-moon, they hugged closer and leaned against eachother when suddenly what seemed like a falling star appeared on the sky. "Look, hun. A falling star... wish yourself something," Applejack's dad said with a loving tone as he slowly shifted his head to look directly into his wife's eyes. "Mmm, how romantic..." she said before looking directly at the star and thinking for herself. I wish that one day, my foal will be an independent mare with a successive life and many good-hearted friends... "Done making your wish?" Applejack's dad said, patting his wife's mane. "Yes..." She answered, smiling at him and giving him a kiss. "Heh, yer name... this looks like ah..." Granny Smith said while the couple was busy kissing, scratching her chin as she inspected Applejack, trying to come up with a name for her. "Oh! Ah've got it! Yer name shall be Applejack!" Granny Smith then said, quietly repeating the name as she looked at Applejack, finding it was the most perfect match she had done in years. "Hihi, that does sound very nice. Applejack it is..." Applejack's mom said after breaking the kiss, turning towards Granny Smith who was holding a smiling Applejack. Applejack then yawned and her dad walked over to her and placed her on his back. "We better get going, Granny Smith. We'll come and pick up Big Mac tomorrow," Applejack's dad said before walking out the door, hoof in hoof with his wife. "Take care ya three!" Granny Smith shouted to them before closing the frontdoor and moving over to the window again, seeing the same falling star that Applejack's parents had seen... only that. Falling stars only appear for a split second on the sky. This one was getting bigger for every second. Granny Smith walked over to an old telescope and walked up to her attic and swiftly opened her windows before placing the telescope there and looking at the falling star. "Darn hooten', is it an asteroid?" She said aloud as she looked through her telescope and saw that the thing in question was supposedly coming straight towards her. "Holy Celestia, it's judgement day already!" Granny Smith said as she retracted from her telescope for a second before looking through it again. Now she could see more clearly as it began to approach, it was a white metallic orb with a purple window on it. And she saw that it began to steer down a bit and sighed in relief that it wouldn't hit her house at least. But what was it? Granny Smith had never seen anything like it. It wasn't that big, it looked able to contain one pony at max. Suddenly though, before she could react. The thing crashed down in the middle of the acre and she almost got a heart attack. "Darn it, not mah apple trees!" Granny Smith said in a frustrated tone and went down the stairs and out the door. She grabbed a flashlight on the way and activated it to illuminate her way out in the dark night. She could see the faint signs of smoke some distance away and began walking through what could be considered a forest... Granny Smith walked and walked until she began hearing the cry of a little foal... the cry of an infant. She quickened her pace and as she arrived at the pit caused by the impact of the crashed object she looked down to see an open pod with a weird creature crying. It had the tail of a monkey and other features of a monkey. But it had no fur on it's body, but it did have a mane ontop of it's head though. A spiky mane nonetheless. It cried out intensely and Granny Smith walked down into the pit and towards what she saw as a strange baby monkey. The baby stopped crying as it looked towards the smiling Granny Smith and it began to clap it's hands in joy. "Bububu!" It said in it's baby language, trying to form random noises. "Ye're a cute lil' fellah, aren't ya?" Granny Smith said as she smiled warmheartedly at seeing the small baby monkey being so happy to see her. "Bubu! Bubu!" 'It' said happily and clapped, which was probably a 'he' because of the non-covered small private parts between his legs. "Now, now. Lil' fellah. Ya can't be out here all alone, Ah better take ya home and give ya shelter," Granny Smith said and lifted him up, which after he kicked her in the face and began laughing deviously. "Gah! Ye're a feisty one, aren't ya?!" Granny Smith said in a jokeful manner, placing the little kid on her back as she saw a text on the pod. 'Kakarot' "Eh? Gokarot? Gokurot?" Granny Smith said, not being able to see clearly because of the lack of light and her reading glasses not being nearby. "Guess Ah'll just call ya Goku," she concluded before turning around and walking out of the pit and then back towards the house. "Gokuu! Gokuu!" The baby exclaimed in a happy manner, clapping his hands cheerily. "Ya like that name, lil' fellah?" Granny Smith said as she turned her head over her shoulder and looked back at the baby on her back. "Goku!" He said, nodding and smiling widely. "Somethin' tells me ye're gonna be a nice lil' peep when ya grow up, Goku. But we'll have to see, right?" Granny Smith said as they exited the line of the trees and began approaching the house. "Bububu!" He said excitedly. "Heh, now Ah've got two small babies to take care of, the more the merrier," Granny Smith said as she opened the door to her house and stepped in. "Now, we two better get some sleep," Granny Smith said as she grabbed a blanket and sat Goku down on the couch next to her favourite rocking chair. Goku smiled and pulled the blanket over himself and closed his eyes, leaving Granny Smith to look at him as he fell asleep in record time. She had an amused expression on her face as she went over to her rocking chair and sat down and closed her eyes as well, thinking over what had happened today. First, she had gotten to see the newest candidate in their family, and then a baby monkey had crashed down from the skies. With a smile she looked over to Goku and whispered. "Goodnight, Goku. May Celestia watch over yer dreams..." And so begins the story of Goku, the beginning of a mysterious kid. The beginning of many adventures to come... To Be Continued //-------------------------------------------------------// Mischievous Kid, Goku //-------------------------------------------------------// Mischievous Kid, Goku Granny Smith wearily opened her eyes as she was greeted by the morning sun that shined in from all the windows in the living room. She smiled warm-heartedly at the sun as she looked out, seeing the crystal clear blue skies and the birds that were up early to get their first worm for the day. She smiled, she smiled like she had never smiled before. It was the most beautiful day in ages and as she looked away from one of the windows and at the innocent looking Goku her smile widened, he just looked so peaceful. Goku put his thumb into his mouth and suckled on it whilst sleeping, which almost gave Granny Smith a heart attack out of cuteness. Suddenly, though. She heard familiar hoofsteps coming from the staircase and she put on a smug smile, she knew that Big Mac was in for a big surprise. "Good mornin', Granny Smith," Big Mac said as he rubbed his eyes with a yawn. "Good mornin' to yerself, Macintosh," Granny Smith said with her smug smile and gently began rocking back and forth on her rocking chair. Big Mac was only 6 years old, so his voice wasn't that deep as it will come to be. He was wearing a small little cowboy hat on his head and an orange checkered scarf around his neck, which he had gotten from Granny Smith while she had been babysitting him when his parents were at the hospital. The small colt walked into the living room and headed towards the kitchen to get some well-earned breakfast but as he looked around the room he noticed one strange thing, the sleeping creature on the couch. He froze in place like a statue and his eyes slowly widened, his legs were almost shaking in shock as well. "Gu-G-Granny? Don't tell m-m-me that's mah l-lil' sister," Big Mac said in a shaky voice as he began to sweat while one of his eyes twitched. "What? Yeah, this one? Eyuuup, that's lil' Applejack over there, ain't she cute? Ah imagine ya two will get along just dandy," Granny Smith said with a straight face, but on the inside she was almost laughing herself to death. Big Mac stood there, not even moving a muscle before he slumped to the floor and passed out in both panic and shock. "Uh, Mac? Ah was just pullin' yer legs, y'know?" Granny Smith said as she raised an eyebrow and raised her head, trying to see if Big Mac was just playing a trick on her or not. But he didn't answer. "Macintosh?" She asked again, getting off her chair and slowly walking over to him as her expression turned more concerned for every passing second. "Oh dear Celestia. Ah did it again, last time it was the mention of all the apples in the acre bein' stolen," Granny Smith said and shrugged as if it was normal. She walked back to her chair and grabbed her own blanket and fetched a pillow from a nearby armchair as she returned to Big Mac and put the pillow under his head and laid the blanket over most of him comfortably as she chuckled faintly. "It feels good bein' alive, Ah must say," Granny said with a smug smile before turning around as she heard a yawn. "Gokuu!" Goku yawned as he stretched out his arms before rubbing his eyes energetically. He looked ready to run across the entirety of Equestria, he just had that energetic glint in his eyes. "Good mornin', lil' Goku," Granny Smith said as she smiled towards Goku. "Bub burbib!" Goku said as he attempted saying 'good morning'. "Heh, ye're a fast learner, Ah'll give ya that," Granny said jokingly before walking over to Goku and patting his spiky hair, which looked exactly the same as yesterday. It was if it was a hairstyle that couldn't change Though before Granny Smith could even blink, Goku snapped up with his mouth and bit on her hoof. ......... Granny Smith bit her bottom lip to contain a scream while her eyes bulged in pain. "Ouch! Don't ya bite me, ya lil' rat!" Granny Smith shouted and shook him off her hoof. She was happy that he still only had baby teeth but it still hurt tremendously. Goku landed onto the couch again and began laughing deviously whilst clapping his hands, only receiving a glare from Granny Smith before she eventually calmed down and sighed. "Well, Ah guess that's karma," Granny Smith said and rolled her eyes as she looked back at Big Mac and then at her throbbing hoof. The end of it had a vague bitemark and it hadn't impaled through the flesh, but it hurt and it throbbed in pain. Granny Smith cursed beneath her breath before walking over to the kitchen and fetching a bottle of water that she poured over where it hurt. She sighed in relief and placed the bottle down again before whiping some sweat off her forehead. A crashing sound came from the living room and Granny Smith quickly went back to investigate to see that Goku was climbing on a normal wooden table and had knocked down a flowerpot which had landed not that far away from Big Mac's head. "Goku! Get down from there, now!" Granny Smith said in a serious tone and watched as Goku first turned his head against her and then stuck out his tongue at her before continuing to stomp on the table. "Bubi!" Goku said happily before he jumped up too high and hit his head in the ceiling, surprisingly enough, though. Goku seemed unaffected, but the ceiling had a small crack in it. He quickly landed and as he did, the table collapsed and broke in half. Granny Smith just stood there with her mouth agape, she stuttered in disbelief and scratched her head with her hoof as Goku happily walked past her and into the kitchen, where he stood and sniffed as the smell of food entered his nose. Granny Smith turned around in time to see Goku jumping up on the kitchen counter and then reaching into her pantry and quickly grabbing an apple pie. She tried to stop him but before she could even blink, that pie was gone. Goku patted his belly before seeing that the whole pantry was filled with apple pies and apple fritters and he didn't even hesitate to throw himself into the pantry and gobble up everything he could see. "No! Goku! Those pies and fritters are meant to be so-.." Granny Smith began but saw that Goku had eaten up everything and then sat down outside the pantry and continued patting his own belly as he smiled amusedly. "Ye're more trouble than what Ah imagined, Ah better teach ya some manners," Granny Smith said and picked Goku up with her hooves and walked back into the living room and put him down on the couch. "But first, Ah better give ya some clothes. Ya may be a monkey but ye're a naked monkey," Granny Smith said and gestured for Goku to sit still while she went over to a wardrobe and pulled out a small purple dressing-gown with a white girdle that Applejack's mom once wore when she was a little filly. She looked back at Goku and saw that he was waiting patiently while rolling his baby thumbs. She then noticed the tail and got the brilliant idea of making a tail-hole in the dressing gown just for Goku, with a smile she went over to a desk and grabbed a pair of scissors and made a hole that she assumed would fit Goku just fine. "Bububu!" Goku said and looked at Granny Smith, flailing with his arms happily as he saw the dressing-gown. "Heh, Ah knew ye'd like it," Granny Smith said with a smile as she walked over to Goku and gently assisted Goku in putting the dressing gown on. The sleeves of the dressing gown looked too big but that was because it was originally designed for a pony's pair of front-hooves, but otherwise it was almost a perfect fit. Granny then proceeded to wrap the white girdle around Goku's waist and then stepped back to admire her 'work'. "Eh, it's good enough. We'll have ta' go to Ponyville's tailor sometime if we want somethin' real," Granny Smith said and patted Goku on the head and earning a happy squeal from Goku. Suddenly though, the door knocked and Granny Smith smiled, it was probably Applejack's parents again who were here to come get Big Mac. She smiled and wandered slowly towards the door before opening it and seeing that she was right about her guess, outside stood Appleplum and her husband, Cornflower Blue with Applejack riding on his back. "Well, well, well! Look at who's up early!" Cornflower Blue said and nudged Granny Smith on the shoulder jokingly. "Ya bet ya darn bottom on that Ah am! Heheh," Granny Smith said and chuckled, looking at Applejack who raised her front hooves towards Granny Smith on Cornflower's back. "So, is Big Mac ready to go, mom? I'm sorry that we can't stay for long here but we're kind of in a hurry as my childhood friend's birthday is today and she is throwing a party," Appleplum said and stepped inside alongsides Cornflower. "Nah, he's not ready ta' go, yet. Ah scared the life outta 'im and he passed out, heh," Granny Smith said and smiled smugly as she walked over to the living room. Applejack's parents had not reached the living room yet before they heard someone laughing, someone who wasn't Granny Smith and someone who sounded no older than what Applejack was. "Gokuu! Gokuu!" Goku exclaimed as Granny Smith walked in again and smiled. "This here is Goku, Ah found him out in the acre yesterday after you two left," Granny Smith said just as Appleplum and Cornflower Blue entered the living room. "You found what in the acres?" Appleplum and Cornflower both said at the same time, looking at the fur-less monkey who had a spiky mane ontop of his head. Appleplum was most surprised that it was wearing her childhood dressing-gown, which seemed to fit him perfectly. "Ah found Goku, he seemed abandoned so Ah took him in. Big Mac got so surprised that he passed out," Granny Smith said in a proud voice and went over to Goku and patted him on his head. "Uh, mom. Aren't you a getting a bit too old to take care of a sprawling little baby full of energy?" Appleplum said as she scratched the back of her head while giving Granny Smith a concerned gaze. "Eh! Too old?! Ah'm as young as young can be!" Granny Smith said and raised one of her wrinkly front hooves in protest. "Ehehehe, I'm just concerned," Appleplum said apologetically before turning to look at the broken table and the crushed flowerpot, which Big Mac was 'sleeping' next to. "And, uh. What happened there?" Appleplum added as she pointed towards the wreck. "Oh, that? Eh, it was just Goku," Granny Smith said and shrugged as if it was nothing while Appleplum and Cornflower Blue stood with their jaws hanging. "You mean to tell me he did that?" Cornflower said as he looked at the broken table and then back at the innocent looking Goku. "Eyuuup, Ah told him not to. Seems that the lil' fellah hasn't learnt any good manners yet," Granny Smith said and ruffled Goku's hair with her hooves jokingly, though afterwards his hairstyle returned to normal. "But, he's just a baby! He couldn't have destroyed a table, how did he even get up there?!" Appleplum said in disbelief as she constantly looked back and forth between the destruction and Goku. "Turns out he's got strong legs, and a hard head. Darn kid made a crack in the ceiling," Granny Smith said, gesturing towards a small crack in the ceiling above the table while Goku laughed. "B-b-but, how..." Both Appleplum and Cornflower said as they stared in shock. "Anyhow, Ah would invite you in and give ya some pies and fritters, but Goku ate it all. There ain't even a crumble left of 'em!" Granny Smith said and lifted Goku up with her hooves. "Ye're a naughty kid, oh, yes you are!" She said, nuzzling Goku who kept smiling and laughing. "He... ate... it... all?" Appleplum said and her eyes widened even more, she was almost on the edge of fainting as Big Mac had done. Thoughts began swirling in her head about Applejack growing up to be the same... the thought scared her. "Heh, heheh. We'll be going now, I can carry little Big Mac home. BYE!" Cornflower Blue said whilst faking a laugh and a smile, running over to Big Mac and lifting him up on his back before dashing out the door with Appleplum. "Take care ya four, and don't let lil' Applejack grow a distaste for apples!" Granny Smith shouted and waved them off before scratching her chin. "Wonder why they were in such a hurry... eh! Doesn't matter to me, doesn't matter to you either, Goku. Am Ah right?" Granny Smith said as she closed the door and then walked back to Goku who nodded. Granny Smith inspected Goku and then put a hoof to her chin before beginning to ponder. "Just now it strikes me, ya came from the skies in a thing. So ye're not from Equestria, that's for sure. But why someone sent ya, that's the question," Granny Smith said as she looked Goku in the eyes with a serious look. "Ah better take ya to the veterinary tomorrow, though. To see if ye're all good physically, and then we can drop by the tailor at the same time and get ya some proper farming clothes, how about it, Goku?" Granny said as her face turned less serious and she began to smile. "Bu! Bubu!" Goku said and nodded, not actually knowing what he was agreeing to. But he was agreeing to something, that much he knew. "Alright, then it's settled!" Granny Smith said and lifted Goku up and began playing with him. How will Ponyville fare Goku's innocent wrath? Nobody knows... ...except me, 'cus I'm the writer. :trollestia: //static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/trollestia.png To be continued.
