I stepped out of my car, looking up at the building with wide eyes, before taking in a deep breath, and then coughing from the nearby smoke. When I finished my coughing fit, I smiled, knowing that I was finally here, at the convention, for the first time in my life. Several of my friends have been here before, and told me it was better than any convention they've been at before, so I believed them, and finally worked up enough money to go.

As I started to walk into the building, I noticed several cool and well designed costumes. I looked down at myself, and sighed, sad that I couldn't make a costume, due to lack of time, money, and creativity.

"Hey man! You made it!" I heard a familiar voice call out. I was immediately pulled into a bear hug by my best friend, Lenny. After a minute of breaking my ribs, he finally put me down, and I turned around, smiling. He always was able to cheer me up. "So glad you made it! I was worried you wouldn't be able to come!"

"Well, I did tell you I was going to come, didn't I?" I asked, a big grin on my face. Lenny was wearing a Space Pirate costume from the Metroid series. We both always loved those games. Well, a lot of people do too, as the Metroid series became Nintendo's best selling series. At one point, they tried to make a series about some kind of plumber who saved a princess, and a green-suited lad who had to collect triangles to stop a dark lord, and also save a princess, but they became busts as soon as they came out. The only good game they made that wasn't Metroid, was Earthbound. A nice story about a kid who realizes he's destined to be a hero, and teams up with three others to stop a massive threat against the world.

No company ever was even able to compare to Nintendo. A company popped up a whole back, and tried to make a game about a blue hedgehog who ran fast, but they went bankrupt shortly after. Another company tried to make a game with Disney, but that failed too. I forgot the names of those companies. Saga and Triangle? No, that doesn't sound right.

I even remember at one point, a company tried to make a movie based off of the Metroid series. It was about some kind of black alien or something. That failed too.

"Too bad you didn't wear a costume." Lenny said, noticing how I was indeed, not wearing a costume.

I dismissed it with a wave of my hand. "You know me, not enough time, money, or creativity to make a costume."

"Yeah, but you would have made a killer Ridley cosplayer. I haven't heard of anyone who could imitate Ridley's voice so well! You even have the proper body shape to pull it off too!" He said, slapping my back. I chuckled, knowing what he means. I was very tall, and also very lanky, having toothpicks for arms and legs. But I was also able to get in very strange body positions for my entire life. I could stretch myself backwards, and grab my legs with my hands, making a circle where I could properly roll around if someone pushed me. I knew very well that I could pull off some of Ridley's poses if I wanted to.

"Anyways, I wanna see what they have here!" I said, running past him, and into the main area of the convention. I stopped when I entered the room, in awe as I noticed how massive the place was. There were never ending aisles of stands selling stuff, from artwork based off of games and movies, to clothes with quotes from TV shows on them.

"It's pretty impressive isn't it?" Lenny asked, as he caught up with me, and noticed my reaction. I just dumbly nodded. I was snapped out of it when my friend pulled on my wrist, pulling me along with him, as he yelled something. "While I was waiting for you, I decided to have a look around, and saw a cool merchant stand. I wanna see if they still have some of their cool stuff!" He yelled, as he pulled me across the entire place.

After what felt like forever, we finally stopped in front of a stall that had all kinds of cool stuff on it. Most of it I didn't recognize, but I did recognize a helmet based off of Ridley. "That's an impressive helmet." I said softly, dumbstruck from the craftsmanship of the thing. It looked like it was actually Ridley's head, even the eyes glowed, and the mouth was connectable to the wearer's, so it would move along with their mouth.

"I know. I had a feeling you might want to check it out before any one took it." Lenny whispered back to me. I nodded, before deciding on buying the helmet. I walked to the edge of the tables, and coughed, getting the attention of the merchant. He looked like a regular nice guy, the kind who would have a wife and a few kids, and would always help out those who need it.

"Yes, how may I help you?" He asked, having a genuine smile on his face.

"I was wondering how much that Ridley helmet costs." I asked, pointing to the helmet.

The merchant picked up the thing, looking at it. "About a hundred bucks." He said, his smile fading.

I took a step back in surprise. "A hundred bucks." I whispered to myself. "Not worth it. I only have about a hundred dollars to spend, and I want to buy more than just one item, no matter how good it looks."

"Yeah man, not worth it." My friend agreed, but he said it slightly louder than he should have, and the merchant heard him.

As we started to walk away, I heard a soft thump, and felt a hand on my shoulder, and turned around to see the merchant was right behind me. "Wait a second! I need you to take it! It's important! You don't even need to buy it!" He said desperately.

I shared a quick look with my friend, before backing away, and shaking my head. "No. I don't want to buy it." 'Especially now that he's acting like this.'

The merchant suddenly had a crazed look on his face. "TAKE IT!" He yelled, trying to force the helmet on my head. He almost got it on, but that was because of the shock factor of being attacked like this, and I quickly pushed it off, and punched him in the gut.

"Leave us alone!" I yelled back, as Lenny and I started running for the entrance of the place. After a few seconds, I turned my head to see the merchant lunging at my friend, tackling him to the ground, before his hands glowed bright white, and all I heard was my friend yelling in pain, before he disappeared in a flash of light. "NO!" I yelled, thinking my friend was dead or something. I quickly threw a punch, breaking the merchant's nose, before slamming my leg into his crotch, causing him to fall over in pain.

I started to run again, but tripped when the merchant grabbed my leg. I hit the ground hard, almost breaking my knee, and I turned to see the merchant trying to get the helmet over to my head. "YOU WILL WEAR THIS!" He yelled, as he got the helmet closer to my head.

Before he forced it on me, I stopped him by grabbed it, and pushing it back. As we struggled, I turned my head briefly and yelled for help. "SOMEONE HELP! I NEED HELP! HE'S TRYING TO FORCE THIS ON ME!" All I got back was a couple of laughs, and the flashes of lights as people took pictures of this with their cellphones. "HELP ME!" I yelled again, before hearing a crack, and I turned my head back over to the merchant, only to see his arm, moving away from my now broken arm, and he forced the helmet on me.

Suddenly. it was quiet. I tried to force the helmet off, but it wouldn't come off. I felt my vision fade, and the last thing I saw was the merchant standing up, a smile on his face, as he accomplished his job.

Before I lost consciousness, I had one last thought. 'I hope you're okay Lenny. I hope you're okay.'

A draconequus slithered up a tall tree, staring in the distance, as large lights appear above the dragon lands. This particular draconequus is the infamous Discord, master of chaos, who was recently reformed by the Element of Kindness. "Now that's strange." He wrapped himself around the tree. "I better tell Celestia this. Then she can send my good friend Twilight Sparkle to attack it. It seems very similar, almost identical to the one a week ago." With a very audible snap, Discord was covered in a bright light, and was now a dog, standing on a tree branch. He scratched himself behind the ear, and suddenly, a scroll appeared on his hind leg. He picked it up with his mouth, before shaking his head, almost as if he was trying to rip it apart, but it was covered in a bright light, as it teleported to one of the rulers of the country.

A white cloak covered pony stood above several dozen other white cloaked covered ponies. "We've recently received word that a strange creature has shown up in Canterlot Castle. It was immediately captured, but we have brief proof that it was indeed not a unicorn!" All the ponies in the room gasped, and looked at each other's horns, glad that their horns make them better than others. "This creature is an unknown, as it hasn't been spotted on the planet before. It could teach the worthless rulers technology we have never seen! The threat must be eliminated!" The lead unicorn pointed to a certain pony. "You, background pony #256, I hear you have a job in the castle?!"

"Yes sir! I'm a simple servant, but I do have access to much of the castle." The unicorn saluted.

"Good. Tomorrow, I want you to eliminate the threat in any way possible. Preferably brutal murder!" The leader yelled.

"Sir, yes sir!" The unicorn saluted again.

"Now on to other business!" The lead unicorn began. "How many new recruits have we received, since last meeting?!" He yelled pointing to another white cloaked unicorn, who jumped a bit before magicking up a clipboard.

"Our membership has jumped up by half since last time, sir! We've gone from fifty members, to a hundred since last week!"

The lead unicorn nodded again. "Good, good. The more ponies join, the better. Soon, we'll have enough power to take back Equestria for the unicorns! Unicorns are the highest form of life, and everything else should be used for labor!" That provoked a lot of cheering from all the ponies.

"Unicorn supremacy forever!" They all chanted over and over again, as the lead pony looked on with a demonic smile.
