Chapter 1.

Twas another day in Ponyville, as the sun began to rise from the horizon waking every pony up with a welcoming sight.

One particular member of Ponyville, was awakened by the sun’s light peering through the curtains.  Waking with a stretch and a yawn, he began his usual morning routine no different than the days before.

He got out of bed, brush his teeth, change into his usual attire, had breakfast, and prepare his office for work.

But while tidying up his office, he realized that his calendar, that displays the times a certain patient was due to come in that day, had nothing.

"I must have forgotten to write them down,” Dr. Wolf thought.

Thus continued to standardize his office for work. The sound of the door opening broke the silence of the room. Believing that it was a patient, he continued tiding up his desk.

“Good morning, forgive me but I’ve seem to have gotten a slow start this morning. Just give me a few minutes and I shall be ready to hear what’s on your mind.”

“Well one thing that’s on my mind is why are you getting ready for work?” A voice had spoken, a voice in which sounded familiar.

As the Doctor turned toward the door, he was surprised that it was none other than his older brother Teric.

“Greetings Teric,” Dr. Wolf expelled while giving a welcoming huge. “It’s been a while since we’ve seen each other”

”It surely has been a long time,” Teric replied. “But that doesn’t answer my question. Why are you getting ready for work today?”

“Well since I don’t have any patients scheduled today, I thought I should prepare incase if some pony decides to come in and say what’s on their mind.” Dr. Wolf Explained

There was then a moment of silence, nothing but the sounds of shuffling papers filled the air. Teric knew that he had something important to do, and yet doctor wolf himself didn‘t seem to realize it.

But then it hit him, harder than being blasted away with one of Pink pies party cannons.

“Oh my word!” Dr. Wolf cried, “Today’s my day off from work!”

Teric sighed in relief, then came over to help calm him down. “I…I completely forgotten all about it.” ”Then just be glad that I’m here,” Teric exclaimed.

“This would have been the third time you would have forgotten. You seriously need to take a break, you’ve been working much harder than you should.”

“But I’ve have dedicated my life to helping others, taking a break away from that is not what I had in mind.” Dr. Wolf said irrationally. Though he knew deeply how hard he works and needed a well-deserved break.

“I understand that, I truly do.” Teric explained, “But as your older brother, I say that you need a break, away from here.”

“Well, alright,” Dr. Wolf admitted. “I might as well head to the Golden Oak Library and just…”

“NO!” Teric interrupted. “You didn’t think I knew what you were going to do, just like the first time you took your break.”

“I was simply reading new books Twilight received from Princess Celestia.” Dr. Wolf explained.

“Yes, but you also helped cleaned, and organized books with Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Twilight Sparkle. Not to mention had a session with Spike!” Dr. Wolf then looked down in shame and embarrassment.

“Well I was going to read,” Dr. Wolf said, while carefully choosing his words. “But Rainbow Dash was trying to do a Sonic Rainboom stunt, but ended up crashing into the bookcase. And Twilight had insisted that I should have a session with Spike about his dilemma. So how could I have resist?”

Teric was not impressed “By finding an empty room, and reading a book. Which reminds me, why did Rarity have wings that day?”

Dr. Wolf tried to find the right words to describe that scenario, but couldn’t find the right words to explain why. From what Twilight had explain to him, it was like trying to find a riddle to an answer. “It’s a long story,” Dr. Wolf said nervously, “so…um…how is your day going Teric?”

Teric knew that Dr. Wolf was trying to change the subject, thus for the fun of it, he fired back. “My day is going swell, once I see you heading out your office.”

Dr. Wolf knew that he was out of options, thus he had no choice.”(Sigh), very well, I’ll take the day off”.
