Deutschland in Equestria?
Chapter 1 (Friends in music)
Till Lindemman stood outside the hotel door in the north districts of Berlin. He knocked the ashes off of his cigarette as he took it from his mouth after taking a drag. He looked around, the night set softly in Berlin, a stark contrast to the concert he had just done in “Der Volkerball”. He turned around to see his friend, Richard Kruspe, walking out from the doors and placing his hand on his shoulder.
“Bereit zu schlaf?” Richard asked.
“Ja, los” Till replied simply, the pair turned and walked back into the hotel. They walked to the elevator and till hit the button to call it. The door opened up automatically. It was late; no one was using the elevator right now. Till and Richard entered, thus causing the doors behind them to close. The elevator began to move, but the elevator had been made to reduce the drop and pull motion of most elevators.
“German engineering at its best” Till said jokingly as the doors of the elevator opened.
“If they put that much focus into elevators, god knows what they have hidden here in Germany, ha ha!” Richard replied laughing. Till and Richard walked down the hall to their room, exchanging jokes and compliments on how their performance had been at the concert.
“You scared der scheis out of me with those flame gauntlets! I didn’t even know you were going to do that” Richard said, opening the door to their room. Till laughed as he entered the room and sat down on the sofa on the far side of the room. Till sat next Paul Landers and jokingly fell asleep on his shoulder. Richard walked in and sat down on another couch where Christoph Schneider was pretending to be bashing away at his drums. Oliver Riedell yelled hello from the kitchen and waved to Till. Christian Lorenz walked in as well and sat down in a lone chair in the middle of his friends.
“You guys make me die in every music video and now I’m in a chair by myself, what is this?” Christian said jokingly as he sat down.
“Oh come on flake, wir lieb dich” they all said almost in unison. Christian laughed, as he already knew this.
“Doom! Quit the drumming before you crack your neck! You did enough today” Till said, looking at Schneider playing his pretend drums. He put down his imaginary drum sticks and flipped till off as he leaned back laughing.
“Hey, Ollie! Get me a bag of chips while you’re in there” Schneider yelled. Oliver yelled curse words back in German in between a mouth full of food, but brought it anyway. As they all sat down, Schneider had his chips, Till sang a bit of one of their songs, Christian and the rest of Rammstein began to play their air instruments with him. As Till trailed off the group of friends began to laugh together.
“Alright you guys, you’re awesome, and I’m going to bed” Schneider said, standing up and going to his bedroom.
“Yeah, I’m going to bed as well, night guys” Christian said, going to his bedroom as well. The only ones left were Paul Landers, Richard Kruspe, Oliver Riedell and Till Lindemman.
“What’s on TV?” Till said, flipping the TV on. An American show came on the television and the group looked confusedly at the television. They all spoke perfect English, what confused them was the shows content.
“My Little Pony?” Till said, looking confusedly at the television.
“Yeah, I’ve seen this before! It’s becoming really popular in America, with men no less!” Kruspe said. Till laughed and refused to change the channel. He fell asleep as the show concluded; he chuckled quietly to himself as he thought about how the band might fare in a world like equestria. As the episode drew to a close on the television, and twilight realized the importance of her friends, Till smiled and thought on his friends as well. Little did he know, something was going to happened that would strengthen their friendships to an unbreakable point.
