It's that time of the year again; the start of winter begets many things observed at once: temperature cool enough for such changes in precipitation and some holidays like Hearth's Warming Eve for example.

With the end of the year slowly but surely approaching, many of the inhabitants get ready for the celebrations that await them; amongst them were but a pair of equines, Rarity and Applejack, sent out into the wilderness with the intent of finding a tree for the festivities to commence.

Of course, because of the season in question, there came a howling blizzard, causing them both to head off and seek shelter in a nearby cabin for some warmth and security until the very storm passes over all at once; in addition, they end up finding more than just these essential elements at that time of the day they were found in and so the question remains: what is it and how…?
