She lay on deep sea green grass, soft against her coat. She could smell damp rain, the trees around her, and... "Wait, what?!" Twilight sprang up from her spot on the grass, and steadied herself to get a look around. She noticed the spruce bark that rose way above her, the very tiny cleared area she stood in, and the strong smell of a... Mouse. Twilight flashed her eyes to where the smell came from, noticing bright glinting eyes staring back at her. "Okay... I can smell animals. What is this, a dream?" Twilight noted to herself quietly, making sure not to stir the mouse from it`s position. Past the thick trees, all Twilight could see was black. Like an abyss stretched out from the clearing, never ending... "Yeah, a dream. This has to be a dream" Twilight said softly, yet still high-pitched through it all. The mouse moved, a bit closer into the abyss zone. Above Twilight Sparkle, the night sky sparkled with constellations, though of those she could not make out. "...Luna?" Twilight whispered, but she didn`t know why. The smell of the mouse caught her nose again, almost telling her- pounce. "Stupid dream, I must have just studied that hunting book too long." Twilight said as she shook away the smell, which just brought another into her head. The rain... Almost like, it was dormant, but hanging right above her head. And that mouse... Twilight bit her lip, seeing that she had still not woken up yet. "...This is a puzzle, right? Just catch the darn rat and wake up?" Twilight asked no pony as she made a small sigh, still careful not to make the mouse go too far out of sight. Heading into a pouncing position, on instinct somehow, Twilight made no attempt to levitate the mouse and end the game quickly. No. She crept near it, smelling it`s location and position. "Here we go." She said one last time, before lunging at the sewer animal. The second she caught it, she noticed something. The rat lay in her paws, the exhilaration she suddenly had. An air of excitement resonated off of Twilight Sparkle, from her act of catching the mouse, which now trembled under her paws... Paws... Paws?! Twilight gaped for a second until losing her dream into pure black. "Hey! Wake up, egghead!" A familiar cyan pegasus shook Twilight out of her dream. Lifting one droopy eyelid, Twilight responded, "h-huh? Oh... Hey, Rainbow Dash...", she pushed herself up on her hooves. -hooves, good...- "Cmon! Celestia wanted to see you!" and with that, Rainbow Dash flashed away, out of a balcony of Twilights crystal kingdom. "W-wait?! CELESTIA!?!" Twilight flashed into reality and galloped through her halls, eventually making it outside. She didn`t even think to use her wings. As Rainbow said, Celestia was calmly waiting outside, enjoying the company of Twilight`s five best friends. The white alicorn stepped forth from her conversation and over to her small purple alicorn protegee, Twilight Sparkle. "Princess Celestia!" Twilight yelled as she hugged her friend, whom returned the favor. "...Uh... Why have you gathered all of us?" Twilight asked sheepishly. Celestia thought for a moment, lost in space. "Oh! Yes, you see- well let me tell all of you at once." Celestia sighed as she went over and called to the other five ponies. "Ahm mighty curious about this..." An orange earth pony, Apple Jack, said as she walked by the rainbow haired pony Rainbow Dash. Celestia cleared her throat for a second before starting, "Elements of harmony. I have gathered you at Twilight`s castle in due favor for a spell." Celestia awaited a response, until Apple Jack and Rainbow burst out laughing. "Magic? Why omighty, sugar cube. You should know we dont do magic!" Apple shouted in between laughs. Celestia and Twilight face-hoofed. Continuing, Celestia said, " Twilight must cast the spell while you all... Stand there. This spell is important. Made by Star Swirl the bearded, im sure itll prove useful". Twilight raised an eyebrow, "Useful for what?". "...Um... Something?" Celestia suggested, "We don`t... know. Not yet, anyway". "And it won`t end up like last time? You know... Cutie mark stuff?". "Nope. It sure wont. Not with the elements within the spells direct casting range, it shouldnt" Celestia reassured Twilight. "Well, I`m in I suppose. Twilight? The spell?", Rarity, a white unicorn put in as she trotted up to Celestia, whom gave her in return a white book which was then passed on to Twilight. A pale yellow pegasus walked in front of Twilight as she read the spell. The other four followed suite and circled Twilight. "Straag wah raanom vorey lein", Twilight called out from the book as she concentrated her magic. A Bright purple dome pushed out from Twilight and through the other five ponies, creating a small wave similar to a rainboom to pulse out through Ponyville. When it ended, which was actually in seconds- the mares opened their eyes to the night sky. Looking around, each could tell that they were still in Ponyville. Celestia was gone, but ponies seemed to walk about, some glancing at the mane six as they passed near Twilight`s castle. "...Er.... What just happened?" Apple Jack asked as she checked to make sure she still had her cutie mark and body. "I`m pretty sure wecastaspellalltogetherandthensuddenlywewerenighttimebecausethespelldidntworkormaybeitdidlikelasttime!!!!" A hyper all-pink pony answered cheerfully. "Pinkie Pie. You know we don`t understand fast talk" Rarity said, putting on slippers while getting ready to head back home. "Ugh... I`m normal. Cutie mark... Check. What happened?" Rainbow Dash asked, confusion painted on her face. "Ah dont know. We seem normal though, maybe its a time travel spell?" Apple Jack answered with a suggestion. A few minutes past as the six ponies wondered about how to end the small group they stood in, or how to conjure some conversation to break the stillness in the air around them. "W-well then... Why don`t you all just stay over at my house tonight? Or castle... Since were all here?" Twilight asked, shifting from hoof to hoof. A yawn escaped her muzzle. "hmm... I guess I could, Angels with me so I can stay", Fluttershy said shyly, her bunny waving his arms widely as if to say *'im hungry*'! "Well... Ah suppose, since mah farms quite a ways away" Apple Jack commented as she made her way inside. Every pony except Rarity ended up even accepting, but Rainbow Dash had just dragged her in. "Well every *yawn* pony. What do you want to do?" Twilight yawned. The spell had really taken a toll on her. "I must say, even for a night pony... I am pretty tired. What time is it?" Rarity asked, lifting a hoof to stop from yawning. "It is... one o` clock. In the morning" Twilight sluggishly said as she began leading them to her bedroom, turning the bare crystal halls, filled with but a few bookshelves. Finally turning the last corner, Twilight opened the door with her magic, and let the others in. She then walked in, closed the door, and began to sit, not taking up the remaining guest bed. "You know, like five minutes ago we weren`t tired, right?" Twilight asked, the thought bugging her. "Yeah, but I bet its probably just some time travel thing a ma bob that doesnt include fatigue or something" Rainbow Dash said, as she yawned. "But shouldn`t we have felt tired when the spell stopped?" She countered. "Maybe we were just in shock, sugar cube" Apple Jack said as she rolled over on her bed, "You can think about it in the morning!". Twilight nodded and climbed into her pale purple bed, pushing a soft pillow around to get comfy. It didn`t take long, and soon after getting to bed, Twilight released one last yawn before falling to her dreams. Twilight stood up in a familiar forest circle. Looking around, she noticed- a mouse. The forest was small, like the last time. "Well, at least- I know i`m dreaming", Twilight mumbled again, preparing for the pouncing again, not even taking in the smells. "But why would I have the same meaningless dream again?" She questioned herself, before pouncing onto the unwary mouse, unsheathed claws. She lunged through the air, wind ripping through her fur, and caught the mouse. Clutching it in her paws, she noticed the dream didn`t end. And Twilight just had the feeling of wanting to bloody the poor varmint. She noticed the claws that extended from her pink paws. The purple pads that lay under her paws, like a cat or dog`s would. "R-right" She stammered. "Like last night. I must be dreaming about being the lion I read about from that book. Just instead of a Zebra, this game is cat and mouse. Just cat and mouse. " Twilight assured herself, as she felt the mouse squirm in her interlocked paws. "Just kill it and end the dream. End it`s life, end my nightmare," Twilight whispered to herself as she began to dig one measly claw into the varmint, getting small helpless squeaks. "Fluttershy would hate me..." Twilight said to herself as she began to think on the scarlet drops that began to leak through and cover her paws. "Oh, but who cares?" She shrugged the thought off as instincts began to kick in. The blood smelt, edible. As if she could just eat the thing. The want to crush it`s body dawned on her head, and she licked her chops. Sliding a second claw into the mouse, she opened her palm to watch it suffer. The mouse shivered, and blood oozed out and past her stained red claws. "Wow... Im- enjoying, this?" Twilight shivered as she noticed the contempt at watched the poor mouse go limp, its breathing eventually coming to a stop. The dream didn`t end, and so Twilight took the opportunity to look at the rest of her fur coated body. The pink on her paws was only in a sock pattern, as do to that she light purple fur up her legs. She noticed her muzzle was pink, and considered it to be some pattern too. Just as she began to look at her tail, her vision suddenly blurred, and Twilight found it hard to focus. She swerved from her left paw and tripped, hitting the ground in a comical form. "What the..." Twilight mumbled as she attempted to get up, until she completely blacked out, lost from her dream. Twilight Sparkle opened a tired eye, only to find them closing again. She felt the warn sun on her right side, and in her position found her tail flicking up in content pleasure. Under her left side, she felt cool shades of dewy plant. Squirming around on the ground, Twilight could have swore it felt exactly like... Grass. //-------------------------------------------------------// Thunderclan //-------------------------------------------------------// Thunderclan The grassy ground made no connection in Twilight`s mind. That was until she rolled over onto her other side, and felt the cold dew on her purple coat. It froze her skin, and shot a jolt into her head, making her eyes flash open. She sat up immediately, glancing around the clearing of trees she sat in. Stopping her tail from flicking, she took deep, slow, breathes. The sun was at it`s highest, and short bushes surrounded her, followed by tall spruce pines and mid-length oaks, with large roots dotting the shady patches the leaves brought down. Twilight looked from the forest to the spot clear of trees she sat in. She and... five cats. Five, very familiar cats. As she observed, one cat was pure white, with a purple ear. Another was orange, and had a soft lighter orange under-belly. The third was blue, and any markings and extra patterns were rainbow. The fourth one was pink, and had a lot of fur, most of her tail faded into a darker pink, but still burst with excitement, somehow. The last one was yellow, and had pink tips on her face fur, along with a pink tip on her tail. "Oh dear Luna..." Twilight gaped at her friends, the elements, now sleeping cats. She looked at herself, and gained the same picture on her paws from her dream. Her tail was a soft purple, like her legs, but had spots of pink and a darker shade of purple dotting it some places, large areas patched on the fur. Her back was the same, and her neck had no different color fur. She couldn`t see her face, and so had decided to leave it up to her friends to describe it when they woke up. The smells of the forest reached her nose, along with that of mice and rabbits. She let the smells reach the top of her mouth, and took in the locations of these different odors. She didn`t smell the more peculiar scent of another creature. "Er..." Rainbow grumbled as she pushed herself up, yawning loudly. Twilight Sparkle jumped up, awaiting a reaction from Rainbow Dash with baiting breathe. She stretched, and almost began licking herself- when she stopped, her tongue held out of her mouth. "Why the heck was I-" she sniffed the air, and then looked at Twilight. The purple cat responded with a sheepish blush, silently apologizing for the next stage in Rainbow`s reaction. "Wait... Twilight?" She asked, her rough voice at it`s peak in confusion. "Y-yep! heh" Twilight responded sheepishly, putting a paw to the back of her head. "Okay... um, if your a, then that means... Im a- CAT?!" Rainbow Dash squealed as she looked down at her paws, her eyes wide and her pupils shrunken. She studied the rainbow tipped hair she bore, the one blue sock, and her rainbow tipped tail. She had one dark blue spot over her left eye, and she noticed it to be similar to that of Twilight`s light pink one, on her left eye too. Rainbow`s back was bare, along with her belly. After a minute of soundless gaping, she shook her head- almost like trying to get out a nightmare. "Okay, s-so were-" Rainbow Dash stopped dead as a white ball of fur began to get up, along with an orange cat too. "Oh no." She deadpanned. Rarity was currently revolting over her body. A cat?! Opalescence was nice and all, for a pet. But as your living form?! "Yuk!" she spat and hissed at herself. Her face was a strong white, save for a purple moon crescent shape on her forehead. She had a fluffy chest that was covered in purple from her underbelly, which reached from her neck down. Her right ear was a rich purple, and her front left and back right legs had purple socks. Her back had one light blue spot on it, and her tail was the fluffiest of all the poni- cats. It faded into purple near the end and adorned a few light blue dots in both the white and purple areas. She did have a sorta long tuft of wavy hair on her head, that reached back down her neck, but she ignored the beauty of it, and instead hissed at the pieces that got in her eyes. Apple Jack? She was more... Or less, angry. Her Orange coat had small and large dot of light and darker orange, and her front right leg was covered in a dark orange stocking pattern, though her back left toes were a lighter ice cream like orange. She still had her freckles, and her hat, which had seemingly shrunk to fit her size, and allow her large kitty ears to go through. Her chin was a light orange, and so was the fur under her neck and down to right before her tail began, which then faded back into the regular palette orange. Her tail was striped with light orange, along with her right ear. "Ahm a crossed pattern CAT?! Twilight, help me! What did you do!" She hissed at her purple friend, who proceeded to attempt to do something with her magic, but found, to her horror- she no longer bore a horn anymore. "I would, Apple Jack. But, well as you can see..." She pawed at her forehead, pushing small locks of straight purple and pink hair out of the way. "And ah reckon that spell from yesterday did this?" She reasoned the time travel spell that turned out seemingly useless. Eventually Fluttershy woke up, but unlike the others, she was very excited to be a cat, as heard from her purring. She bore a pale yellow body, two pink circles above her eyes, small and cute, and even had a pink sock on her left front paw. She had striped pink fur, that stretched all the way down to her tail, which was tipped in pink. Her hair was a little long, though not but one strand covered her eyes, like when she was a foal. The ends were tipped with pink also. Pinkie Pie was the last to wake up. She studied her body almost seriously, but of course was not phased or disgusted by anything, just merely enjoyed it. She had lots of fur. Her left ear was a darker pink that her light body, and her hair seemed to curl down into her right eye. She had a fluffy chest, and her body faded into a darker pink, much like her ear, from her back to her tail. She had dark pink stripes on her face, neck, and front legs, but then light pink ones on back, underbelly, and tail. She had rather, long, claws and fangs, much to every pony`s confusion. Her tail was a bushy curly line, which looked tangled yet neat at the same time. "Yay! were kitties!" She yipped cheerfully, jumping in the air, but was stopped by Rainbow Dash. Twilight was busy observing every body else, until she received a comment from Rarity. "Twilight dear, um... Your eyes. There, yellow." She pointed out with a paw. "Huh?! Oh, your right. Cool!" Rainbow put in. "Cool? really, Rainbow? Your eye colors are all the same though." She contemplated, " Well, besides yours Rarity, yours are blue and purple, and yours Rainbow. Yours are yellow and red". "Really? AWESOME!". "... Im, ugly", Rarity whimpered. She gave off a great fear scent, which attracted to Rainbows nose, along with an unfamiliar scent. Rainbow Dash stiffened, and instinctively crouched into a pouncing position. She hissed, " Everyone! get down. There`s something out there...". She prepared herself for an attack, her rear curved down, her tail twitching ever so slightly. The bushes in front of Rainbow shook, which made Fluttershy and Rarity back away, near the other side of the clearing. "S-stay back!" Rainbow Dash hissed. Apple Jack walked a bit closer, her lips reeled back in defense. A paw stepped out of the bushes, a large yellow paw with sheathed claws. Small darker yellow stripes seemed to line up and down the leg as it came further out, making Rainbow Dash tense. "You must have a pretty good scent, to be able to have scented me, young cat" a deep yet cool sounding voice came, and with that the head that spoke it. This large cat was almost completely normal, save for the bright yellow, and the almost lion like mane that came form his neck, and the yellow green eyes that could pierce any soul to their wits. Though now they held a soft gaze, and that soon mixed with confusion. "What the..." He began, but stopped. "Oh, heh. Um..." Rainbow Dash got up from her position before continuing, " Were pretty colorful, aren`t we?". The lion cat shook his head. " Never mind that. Why are you in Thunder clans territory?" He gave off a small glare, startling Fluttershy, whom held onto a bunny. "And why, I must add, are you hunting in our territory?!" he snarled. Fluttershy whispered, "He`s my pet". "PET? That is our prey!" He walked towards her, and Fluttershy got up, the bunny on her back, and glared at the lion cat. "No he is not! Angel is my baby! Now keep your filthy lion paws away from him!!!" She hissed defiantly, making the lion cat jump back in surprise. "... Your odd, skittish one. My name is Lion heart, and no, i`m not a lion" he introduced himself. Twilight stood up, " Um, what is this Thunder clan?" her tail flicked curiously. "You don`t know? Thunder clan is one of five clans. We survive and hunt in the forest and plains around this area" He answered. "What about the other four?" She questioned. "Well, there`s the River clan, Wind clan, Shadow clan, and Star clan". "Star clan? Heh, kind of like my name" Twilight reflected. "What are your names, any ways?" Lion heart asked, the thoughtful, calm look in his eyes again. Twilight introduced her friends. "This here is Apple Jack" She pointed to the orange tabby whom responded with a country, 'hi'. "This is Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and i`m Twilight Sparkle", she finished. Lion heart laughed, "those are odd names". "Yeah? Well Lion heart, your name is funky too", Rainbow Dash pointed out, earning a glare from Twilight Sparkle. "Now tell me, young cats, I smell no twoleg on you, but you carry no clan smell either. Where are from, Twilight Splash?" Lion Heart asked, receiving a grunt from Twilight. Rarity answered, " Were all from Equestria. Twilight here, cast a spell. And now, were all cats". "What were you before then?" Lion Heart smirked, half believing, half non believing of Rarity`s response. "We were ponies! We had the same coloring too, mind you. I was a pegasus, Fluttershy was also, Rarity and Twilight Sparkle were unicorns, and Pinkie and Apple Jack were earth ponies!" Rainbow Dash smirked, before adding, "I`m the fastest flyer in all of Equestria". Lion Heart stared for a second, before attempting and failing to hold back a laugh. "How hard did you hit your heads, kittens?" He got up and laid a paw out for Twilight Sparkle. "I think you should see the clan leader, she may know what to do with you. At least we can save one day to care for some rainbow group of kittens" He began to pace away, after Twilight had nodded. "You know, Lion Heart," Rainbow Dash began while running easily at his speed, "If you think were rainbow like, you should see Princess Celestia. her body may be white, but her hair? Besides me, she`s the most colorful pony out there!" Rainbow laughed, her friends struggling to keep up with Lion Heart. "Well, right now... I`d have to say she is" Lion Heart flicked his tail towards the confused blue cat, and she got the message. "But for a wild cat, your pretty fast, I mean being able to catch up with me and all. Even Fire Paw wasn`t fast enough to keep up" Lion Heart complemented Rainbow, whom smiled widely. Apple Jack was a little behind, but she kept up good speed, though cursed to herself about not having her lasso. "Eh, who`s this Fire Paw?" She asked. "Well, he was a kitty pet. They named him Rusty, but then our leader, Blue star, changed it when he became an apprentice. When your an apprentice, your last or ending name is turned to 'paw'. For example, let`s say your a kitty pet named Flower. You get taken into the clan, and however you present yourself and make the leader feel about you ends up as your name. At least in the beginning. Blue Star might think flower was very swift and cunning, so she may name her Swift paw, or maybe Nimble paw." Lion Heart explained. "What about Rusty? Why was he named Fire paw? Catch on fire or something?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Well, he`s an orange tom. Blue Star said his fur shown like fire in the sunlight, and bore him the name, Fire Paw" Lion Heart concluded. Soon, Rainbow Dash and Rarity could smell other feline smells, some sweet, others dainty. Apparently Twilight nor the other three cats smelled anything, however. Rarity thought most of them to be annoying, and focused on the smells of the forest instead. Eventually, the ground beneath their paws became harder and less grassy. Most of the girls considered this to be the main entrance, and rightly so. The scent of cats dawned on the others, but Rainbow had already gotten to pinning down each and every cat to there scent. -That would be terrible for avenging or getting revenge on some cat. Youd have to go politically if you didnt want your tail caught to trailing by the others!- The cat`s came into a clearing, large and surrounded by cats. They all meowed at the scent of unfamiliar cats, belonging to no twoleg or clan. The inside of the clan was amazing. Grassy domes covered some cats, hollowed out bushes. Others lay under fallen logs or under over hanging rocks. One cat, a white one with brown and light brown dots, went inside a dark patch of bush, which led into a cave like area. In front of the seven approaching cats, was a tall vertical rock that slanted slightly diagonally. Twilight stared at it, contemplating the need for a rock that big. Lion Heart noticed Twilight`s stare, and chuckled softly to himself. "That is the high rock, the den of the leader. And more importantly where all clan meetings are held" He said as he bounded up to a small hole in the rock. "Blue star," he respectfully narrowed his eyes, " I found six, rather- unusual cats. I would like you to meet them". A slender female cat came out of the hollowed rock. She was a mid-grey and bore deep blue eyes, matching her grace in footing. She stopped, her eyes widening, before she pawed her head as if to shake out a dream. It was no dream, what she saw. Twilight Sparkle asked. "Yes... Would you, like to hear it?" Blue Star asked ever so softly. "Yes, please". "Well... The Star clan sent Spotted leaf a prophecy many moons ago. It said, colored cats will meet the clan then second shall unfold." Blue Star sighed. "Okay then. Well, we were, in truth, part of another prophecy once, in Equestria" Twilight responded. "Yes? what was it?" Blue Star seemed a little up beat. "On the longest day of the thousandth year, the stars will aid in her escape, and she will bring about night time eternal" Twilight answered, but then added, "She`s now reformed and living with her sister. They are the princesses of the moon and sun". Blue Star looked at Twilight like she was crazy. "Oh, um... About your prophecy?!" She moved the subject quickly. "Right, I shall gather a meeting for this. We can not accept you now, but you may stay in the apprentices den until we find something for you to do", Blue Star confirmed before jumping swiftly onto the High rock. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey, please join me here at the High rock". Many cats came prowling forward, meowing curiously. "Today, as many of you know, six strange smelling cats came with Lion Heart into this clan. Spotted leaf had a prophecy that I feel is tied to these cats," she paused and looked at Twilight and her friends, "come forth". The six prowled onto the high rock, behind Blue Star, crowded on the thin rock. Blue Star muttered something, and all but two got off and came to the front. Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash stayed. "These, colorful cats, were found in the forest, and seem to be young enough to be apprentices. I know we just added another member, and we have many mouths to feed. That is why if they are to join us, so that this prophecy may unfold, they must prove themselves loyal to our clan". There were many whoops, hushed whispers, and even loud boos. With a loud cry, Blue Star quieted them, and added, "Tomorrow, one will show herself loyal. Or will attempt to. Each day ,one will go through one of a few tests. That is all I have to say, goodbye" Blue Star turned and climbed down the High rock. Two cats began padding up to the six, an orange tom and a gray tom. The orange one looked super happy, and he began to speak to Blue Star. "Hey, uh, since these cats are new here, can I show them around please?" He asked. Blue Star nodded and sighed one of relief. "Hey, guys! Wanna see around the place?" The gray one asked, holding out a paw to Fluttershy. She shyly took hold of it, and felt herself blushing, thankfully hidden behind her pink patterns. "This large bush indented cave thing right here is the warriors den!" the gray one pointed to a large bush, the entrance a small hole. When the bush ended, a small over hang covered the rest, and from what the six could see, moss and grass worked as the lounging area. "And that natural creation is the medical den!" the orange one pawed to a small tunnel in a bush, that led into a dark space, also under an over hang, but almost as big as a cave, with enough room for half the clan. Or it seemed that way, but only Twilight could tell. Rarity and Apple Jack were having a hard time describing the inside, and the rest could see moderately, but still had trouble. "Then we have the apprentice`s den!" The gray cat showed the cats a large bush, covered from rain, but fluttering with light. "Thats where youll stay here until your tested! And if you pass, well, youll be here again!" He added, " By the way, im Gray Paw. And this is Fire Paw!" he pointed to the orange tom. "Oh, so your the one Lion Heart told us about!" Rainbow Dash spat jokingly, purring. Fire Paw chuckled purrs of amusement but continued the tour. "Here`s the kits den, where all Queens stay until they have there kits" Fire Paw said. "Queens?" Twilight Sparkle asked. Fluttershy broke in and answered her, but suddenly shrunk back into the crowd of colorful kitties. "Here`s the fresh kill pile!" Gray Paw informed them as they passed it, earning a shriek from Fluttershy. The cats all stopped at a large tree, where a few elderly cats were licking and talking to each other. "This is where the elders stay. There`s a hollowed out area in the trunk. No need to look at this place though!" Gray Paw smiled as he began to leave. "Bye! see you soon!" Fire Paw waved his tail, leaving the six cats to themselves. The night hung heavily with dew, foggy wisps surrounding the bush den. Twilight Sparkle looked out of the bushy den that made up their temporary home. She glanced around, looking for something to do while she waited for tomorrow. Most cats had gone to sleep, but the six were just lying around, bored, and confused. So much happened in one day! out of the corner of her eye, Twilight could see a familiar grey cat walk outside of her lichen draped den. She signaled for Twilight to come, flicking her tail and twitching her whiskers. Twilight turned behind and whispered to her friends, "Come one. Blue Star wants to see us". "I would like to talk about tomorrow, and the set up for the trial" Blue Star calmly stated, before continuing. "I have arranged which of you will go in which order. But first... I, need your names" She smiled slightly, "I never got to that. Green-leaf is approaching, but we have lost much prey". Twilight answered, as she had been many times already. "Thats okay! Im Twilight Sparkle". "Ahm Apple Jack". "F-fluttershy...". "I`m Rainbow Dash!". Blue Star chuckled. "Lion Heart told me about your speed, Dash" Blue Star purred. "I, am Rarity". "And i`m... Pinkie Pie!" Pinkie yelled, but low enough to keep the den from waking up. "Well... Twilight. Your going to go and prove yourself tomorrow. Then you Rainbow Dash" Blue Star said in a smooth, silky tone. "Then you, Fluttershy, and you Apple Jack". "Pinkie Pie will go next, and lastly, you, ms. Rarity". "The set up will go according to this, you will either be able to show your loyalty to this clan- " She was cut off. "Um... Sorry to bother you... But you never asked our opinion. What if we don`t want to stay here, in Thunder Clan?" Fluttershy asked shyly. "I... Sorry. Once I saw you six, I only thought of the prophecy. But I must warn you... Outside this clan, it is dangerous. The other three would probably cut you open alive and use you as colorful banners, and to say the least about your... Pet, bunny. Oh... But there must be a reason you were sent here, please, stay. Or, try... At least" Blue Star sighed. Twilight nodded, along with the others, mostly Fluttershy though. "Of course, this is just like the map. That shows our cutie marks..." Twilight stared at her blank purple hip, " Or shown our marks...". With a frowning Twilight, Rarity finished her sentence, "We have almost always been sent somewhere for a reason, and with those that weren`t, another world was no where in that measly list". "I see... As I was saying, " Blue Star said, more joy in her meow, "You can either show your loyalty to this clan by hunting, healing, or finding another way of helping us. And- you may choose whichever time of day. Be it sunhigh, or when silver pelt has bound up into the sky". Twilight took silver pelt to be the moon. "Well, girls. I must be getting to sleep. Tomorrow, you Twilight- will show us your talent in this world". The other five left, but Twilight found herself staying. "Blue Star?" She asked. "Yes, Twilight Sparkle?". "Do you believe in... Well, this may seem silly, but- other worlds?". "That is not silly. Actually, I do. Well, mostly. Mainly worlds of up most difference from ours, NOT the- i`m living another life in the same situation, but... Differently". Twilight understood. And in a way, that helped her cause, mostly. "Do you believe in... Crossing worlds?", she asked. "Maybe. It depends". "Well... Being colorful, and all. Would you believe me if I said, that we came from another world?". "Actually, I don`t know. But probably. Can you tell about it?". "Sure! We were, ponies, if you can go that far into my info. I knew complex magic. Well, I still do. But, with no horn... Yeah." Twilight paused. "In our world, the sun and moon are controlled by two princesses, possessing both horns and wings. The sun princess, Celestia, was- is, my mentor. I`m her pupil. Luna, the princess of the night, was once Nightmare Moon, possessed by evil. But we reformed her, as to the prophecy". "I see" Blue Star said. "Every pony in Equestria had a mark on their flank, their personality. Its called a cutie mark, and it appears their whenever they find out what their special talent is. Mine represented magic. Raritys her knowledge and design creativity with gems, Pinkie Pie her party spirit, Apple Jack her... Well, she lives on an apple farm, so I guess her way with farming, Fluttershy her animal friendly posture- and her ability to understand animals, and lastly Rainbow Dash. Hers represents her lightning speed, and her firing passion for flying and going- REALLY fast. She got hers when she performed a sonic rainboom, as a foal" Twilight finished. "But that troubles me" the pink socked cat sighed, her head held low. "In what way?" Blue Star asked, slightly worried. "My talent... Its no use in this world, is it? I cant sense any, at least not to my senses. My special talent...". "I have a feeling, that in any world, talents are- warped. Made differently". "So... Mine is just, different?" Twilight perked up. "Of course!" Blue Star smiled. "Thank you, Blue Star". "Your welcome, dear Twilight. But I must get to bed though, Twilight. Goodnight, and best of luck", she said as she left to lay down on a mossy nest. Twilight nodded and left, purring at the success at getting a believer of her colored friends. Silver pelt hung at the top of the sky, clouded by nothing. It didn`t take long for Twilight to fall asleep either, and she dreamt of nicer things, like Celestia, and ponies, rainbows and ponds... Mice and hunting...
