Butterfly Fly Away

I went through so much in all of my life. Even things I never thought I had the courage to do on my own. The things I strive to do, say so much about what I feel about having a happy innocent little world free from any conflict.

When I was born, Mother and Father knew that one day, I would become a pony that can make a difference in Equestria. The pony that they would be proud of.

But they knew I have one problem, I was, is, and always will be, a little shy. But they knew that if I give myself a little push, I can do anything that I can set my mind to.

I'll never forget my very first day in flight school. Everywhere I went, there were ponies who would tease me and call me names. But flight camp was the worst. You see, when I was a filly, I was a very weak flyer.

I couldn't get my hooves off the clouds. Rainbow Dash challenged two colts to a race one day. And I was the one who started the race. They flew past me so fast, I began to spin and fell of the cloud.

I thought for sure I was a goner. But a flock of a hundred butterflies rescued me. In all my years in Cloudsdale, I'd never seen a flying creature so beautiful. They don't fly as high as we Pegasi do in Clousdale and I've never been to the ground before.

I immediately made friends with the animals who made the ground their home.  When I heard the explosion of Rainbow's sonic rainboom, the animals ran away and hid.

I told each and everyone of them it was safe to come out. And they all understood me. I discovered I had the ability to talk to animals on their level. And my kindness is so important it's represented by my cutie mark. Three butterflies representing my innocence and my way of animals.

When I grew older, I decided to make Ponyville my home. I moved to a beautiful two story cottage with a big backyard on the outskirts of town. I even adopted an adorable white rabbit I named Angel.

Whenever I see an animal who needed my help, I gladly take them to my cottage, and nurse them back to help. Some of them even stay home with me.

I even arranged a songbird choir to sing for the Summer Sun Celebration when it came to Ponyville several years before. That's when I met Twilight. I knew she wanted my name but I was a little shy to tell her.

However, when I saw Spike, I came out of my shell right away. That's because I never saw a baby dragon before, even though I'm afraid of giant dragons.

Pinkie Pie invited everypony to the Golden Oak Library for Twilight's surprise welcome to Ponyville party, even me. When the time came to watch Princess Celestia raise the sun, my songbird choir and I went on stage.

Rarity couldn't find the princess anywhere when she didn't come when anypony expected. Twilight knew that the stars touched the moon and had set Nightmare Moon free.

She knew that the only thing to stop Nightmare Moon, were the Elements of Harmony. The reference guide to the elements said that there were six elements of harmony, and they were in the castle ruins in the Everfree Forest.

I was a little scared to go in, actually, really scared. But I knew the others needed my help, so I went in. Nightmare Moon made the cliff tumble, so Rainbow and I saved everypony because the others didn't have wings.

A manticore came up to us and the others tried to make him go away by fighting him. But I spoke to him kindly and he showed me the thorn in his paw. I removed it and he gave me a big thanks.

Other things stood in our way but we pulled through. Nightmare Moon tried to stop us from using the Elements of Harmony so she can have nighttime forever.

But Twilight realized that we six spirits of the elements have stopped everything Nightmare Moon had in her power to have everlasting night. With my kindness, Rainbow's loyalty, Rarity's generosity, Pinkie's laughter, Applejack's honesty, and Twilight's magic, we have discovered the most powerful magic of all, the magic of friendship.

We defeated Nightmare Moon, reunited Princess Celestia with her long lost sister Princess Luna, and made a new friend Twilight Sparkle. Many more villains and challenges faced my way. Discord, me trying to overcome my stage fright reforming Discord and making him my friend, seeing the consequence for being to kind and a whole lot more.

I also made a lot of new friends. The Breezies, Coco Pommnel, and of course Tree Huger. But there was one time where I tried to convince Applejack to make a habitat the vampire fruit bats, but she wouldn't listen.

She used Twilight's magic and my stare to get the fruit bats to stop eating her apples. But Twilight's magic backfired and turned me into Flutterbat.

Of course that wasn't the only thing that happened to me. I still wince about the time we all stumbled into poison joke and I had a different change from everypony else. The poison joke made my voice change and I was Flutterguy.

When I didn't take Discord to the Grand Galloping Gala a few months back, he was upset and took his friend Smooze. I took my new friend Tree Huger, we had a great time.

When Smooze got a little carried away, Tree Huger calmed him down by bathing him in positive vibes. Discord was furious that Tree Huger was the one that saved the day, and threatened to send her to another dimension.

I told him that our friendship hadn't ended at all just because I made a new friend. He apologized to Tree Huger and all was forgiven. I just hope that more and more everyday I will be able to overcome all of my fears and my shyness.

Just remember everypony, just because people tell you something that puts you down it doesn't mean that you are a looser. You all are just perfect the way you are.

All through everything I did, I remained thoughtful and kind. I hope you all will too. There are ponies in Equestria who have kindness in one hoof then others have in their whole body.

Animals are also very helpful, useful creatures. They'll help you with anything you will go through. Like when they helped me become a great flyer. I knew that with courage, perseverance, and determination, I could get the rain water up to Cloudsdale with the other Pegasi.

I know a lot of you who are shy like me and think you can't do anything right. I was once like you too. You see everypony gets scared, even the bravest ones.

But I know you can do anything you can set your mind to, if you just keep going for it. So remember everypony, have courage, and be kind.
