Earth: October 31, 1997
"Sir, are you sure this is the right one?" said a tall pale man in a white lab coat. "If were wrong about this then we wont have another chance until the next 666 years from now!" with a look of uncertainty in his eyes he gazed down upon the specimen. A young woman with black hair pale skin and the most arctic blue ice eyes he ever saw lay on a cold metal gurney. She had a red streak in her hair that seemed almost natural, her dress was ripped and bloody from struggling with the other scientists that placed her on the gurney. Most importantly was her stomach which was eight months pregnant.
The scientist looked into her glazed eyes and sighed inwardly, "she'd almost be pretty if it weren't for the fact we have to slice her open." He thought to himself, he looked up from her just as his boss came in.
"Andrew, whats all this talk about not being sure she's the right one?" said a slightly shorter man in a plain black business suit, annoyance in his voice at his cohorts lack of surety in the subjects purpose.
"I'm not saying she's not the right carrier, i'm just saying we must be certain that this is what we've been waiting for." said Andrew with his voice now starting to sound equally annoyed with his bosses ignorance of how serious the situation was. "You know as well as i do Charles the consequences if she weren't the carrier as well as if anything were to go wrong, there would be hell to pay!"
"The only person who would have hell to pay is you Andrew cause if you don't give me the results I want you know what will happen!" said Charles with a maniacal look in his eyes. "Need I remind you of your old partner Jackson?" Charles said with a smug look on his face.
Andrew felt a ice cold shuter travel up his spine as he heard his old lab partners name. Jackson was a good man, he was loyal and caring but when he failed to get Charles the results he wanted he was shown no mercy from charles. Andrew still had nightmares of his old lab partners face as he was torn apart by beasts only describable as abominations, his pained cries only seemed to bring more laughter to charles face as the beasts tore him limb from limb.
Pushing down those dark memories Andrew sighed before shaking his head obediently like the lap dog he was.
Charles saw this and with a look of satisfaction he signaled Andrew to commence with the ritual. Charles stared intensively as Andrew began chanting the words to the ritual in latin as he reached for the dagger on the table next to the gurney. Chanting the last words of the ritual Andrew plunged the dagger in the carriers chest causing her to cry out in a ear splitting pain. Hearing her high shrieks of agony was music to Charles ears, finally Andrew took the dagger and cut the fetus out of the carrier. Charles held his breath waiting to hear the small cries from the unholy hellspawn he just brought into this world. Soon the sound he never thought he'd hear hit his ears, it was the bittersweet cries of the newborn.
Andrew, relief filling his heart that the ritual was a success continued on to the last step. Grabbing the dagger one last time he brought up the newborn and began carefully carving a pentagram on the child's chest, once he was finished he brought the dagger over the carriers chest and began cutting out her heart. He squeezed the carrier's heart over the newborn's chest, as the crimson droplets made contact with the freshly carved pentagram it burst into flames silling the fate of the child forever. A new scar was taking form on the newborn's chest as Charles slowly approached Andrew with a sick smile on his face, he patted Andrew on the back and said, "well done my boy with this child we will finally find the power and immortality our ancestors only dreamed of."
Andrew looked down at the abomination in his arms, he was shaking as he brought his blood soaked hands up to his face. "What have i done" he thought to himself as he stared at the lifeless figure of the carrier laying ripped open on the gurney.
"Come now Andrew we must celebrate our success!" Charles chanted with total pleasure at the results of the ritual and the sweet crimson splatter around the lab.
Not saying a word Andrew followed Charles to the door, casting one last look over his shoulder at the lab and the dead carrier. He walked out the door looking at the blood soaked child resting in his arms, part of him wished he failed and this evil was never brought into this world. Deep down Andrew knew something this powerful should never be left in any persons hands especially if it was Charles hands. No matter what he felt was right and wrong Andrew knew he would never betray Charles even if the whole world would burn by his evil maniacal plans. Andrew sighed one last time and pushed his thoughts to the back of his head as he walked in to Charles office. There sitting on Charles desk was not his boss but a grotesque being only describable to Andrew as some kind of demonic humanoid. Andrew stared in pure horror as it smiled with a mouthful of jagged razors that looked sharper than anything he had ever seen before.
"What's wrong my boy dont you recognize your favorite boss when you see him?" It said with a thick raspy voice that sounded like it was gargling sulfur.
"C-C-Charles is t-that you?!" Andrew stammered with fear very clear in his voice. "H-How is this possible I must be hallucinating, I mean h-how could this be rea-"
"SHUT UP YOU INCOHERENT FOOL!" Charles voice boomed causing Andrew to flinch and cower under his mighty voice. Charles was staring at the pathetic excuse of a mortal standing before him with his pitch black eyes. "You have done me a great service Andrew, by completing the ritual you have just granted me the last of my power I need to take over this world." Charles said with a more calm voice than earlier. Laughing he said, "but alas Your services are no longer needed my dear boy." Before andrew could utter a single noise he launched forward at incredible speed and decapitated him with a single blow of his fist. The impact caused chunks of skull and brain matter to go everywhere. The newborn was still in the now decapitated mortals arms, falling from his secure grip that once belonged to Andrew. He caught the child before it hit the floor looking down at this unholy being of ultimate destruction, "hey there little guy you want to help me kill all these foolish mortals" Charles said with an insane look on his face. He started planning the future he and his little test subject had ahead of him. "This should be fun." Charles proclaimed as he started laughing maniacally.
