Fallout: Equestria – Alone

Chapter 1

Corporal Tyler Clark was cleaning his power armor when a messenger ran in the Raven Rock barracks towards him. Tyler looked up and held his hand to stop the messenger.

   He stopped and asked, “Corporal Tyler Smith?”

   Tyler nodded and the messenger said, “You have new orders, straight from Colonel Autumn.

He handed Tyler a business sized envelope and Tyler stared at it.

The messenger saluted and walked out of the barracks. Tyler slowly broke the seal on the letter and started to read it.

Dear Corporal Tyler Clark,

You and your squad, The Marksmen, have been picked to do a very important mission. Recently, we have discovered an underground network of tunnels and rooms underneath a big Pre-War food processing plant called Mamas Dolces. We have sent many squads through and no one has come back alive. You are one of the Enclave’s best squads. Your orders are to get in Mama Dolces and get into those tunnels. Figure out what happened to the other squads. Signed, Colonel Autumn.

Tyler jumped up and yelled, “Marksmen, report!”

Almost instantly, 5 men and women jumped up off their bunks and got in a line, standing at parade rest.

Tyler walked along the line and said,” We have a new mission, straight from Colonel Autumn.

One of the soldiers snickered and whispered to another one, “I wonder if Colonel Autumn had a daughter, he would name her Winter or Spring.”

The line of soldiers laughed and Tyler smiled at the crude joke.

Tyler laughed and said, “Ok, enough jokes. Let’s get down to business. Command has sent us a mission. We have discovered a network of tunnels and rooms under a food processing plant. Past attempts to enter the tunnels have resulted in multiple casualties. That is why they picked us to do it. We are the best of the best.”

One female soldier stepped forward and asked, “Do we have any recon of the place?”

I nodded and said, “Good question, Amber. We do have some recon of the tunnels. The tunnels are about 5 feet wide and 7 feet tall. They were

probably for heavy Pre-War lifting equipment. There are also large rooms, probably for storage.”

Amber nodded and said, “Yes sir.” She stepped back into line.

Tyler put on his helmet and said, “If there are no more questions, let’s go. The Vertibird is waiting.

Everyone put on their armor and gathered their weapons and followed Tyler out of the barracks to the landing pad. On the pad sat a Vertibird. Tyler knocked on the glass of the cockpit and it opened. A guy wearing a pilot’s helmet stuck his head out and laughed when he saw Tyler.

He laughed and said, “It has been too long, Clark! I haven’t seen you since that incident at Old Olney.”

Tyler smiled and said, “How have you been doing, Austin?”

Austin chuckled and said, “Been fine, mostly. Got shot at with missile launchers and Fat Men yesterday when I was recovering a squad. Damned raiders.”

Tyler smiled and turned to his squad. “Marksmen, get in. We are going for a ride.”

The squad started walking up into the Vertibird and getting strapped in.

Austin put his helmet back on and said, “Let’s get this show on the road.”

Tyler nodded and walked up into the Vertibird. He walked to the front of the Vertibird and strapped in right behind the cockpit. Next to him sat

Amber, his third in command and one of the best hackers. To his right sat Alex, second in command and sniper.

The Vertibird took off and started flying towards the target location.

Alex nodded at Tyler and asked, “Why did you bring me along? Sniper rifles are useless in close-quarters.”

Tyler responded, “You have amazing vision and can see stuff we can’t see. Also, you never miss with any weapon.

Alex nodded and said, “Makes sense, boss.”

Amber laughed and asked, “Alex, remember that one time we pranked people by shooting the bottoms out of their coffee cups with sniper rifles?”

Everyone in the Vertibird started laughing and Tyler said, “Ok, enough jokes. We are approaching our target.

Everyone went quiet and Amber pulled out her small laptop and started pulling up hacking programs.

She looked up and said, “Just hacked into all of the cameras and terminals of the building. Looks like it is abandoned, but I see multiple Chinese commando ghouls walking around with assault rifles.”

Alex muttered, “Fucking Chinese. First, they nuke our country, now they take over a food processing plant?”

Tyler responded, “Calm down. The last thing we need is a reckless sniper.”

Alex sighed and said, “Yes sir. Can I still kill them?”

Tyler nodded and said, “Just stay calm.”

Tyler turned on his radio and asked, “Austin, where are you landing us?”

Austin replied, “At the front entrance. I’ll head back to base after I drop you off to refuel, then when you call for evac, I will come get you and your squad.”

Tyler nodded and said, “Ok, people, let’s go.”

Austin activated the thrusters to start landing the Vertibird and suddenly a huge explosion went off in the cockpit.

Tyler yelled, “What’s going on, Austin?!”

There was static over the radio, then Austin’s faint voice came over the radio.

Austin coughed and yelled, “Damned raiders hit us! It was probably a Fat Man or a missile. I’m hit bad and got pieces of shrapnel in my chest. I’m going to try and bring us in on a crash landing.”

Tyler yelled to his squad, “Brace yourself!”

Austin yelled, “I can’t control her!”

The Vertibird tipped forwards and started plummeting to the ground.

Tyler quickly braced just as the Vertibird hit the ground. The nose of the helicopter buried in the ground and it came to a screeching halt.

Tyler jumped up and ran to the cockpit where he found Austin slumped over covered in wounds.

Tyler turned around to Alex yelling “INCOMING!”  Tyler dropped to the ground as a Fatman mini-nuke slammed into the Vertibird and detonated.

Tyler heard the shrieks of Amber as she was incinerated by the blast.

As the smoke cleared, two raiders hopping inside the Vertibird and started shooting and looting the Vertibird. Alex tried to jump up, but was shot almost instantly. Tyler looked up and saw a raider standing over him with a rifle aimed at his head.

Tyler closed his eyes and waited for the shot. Suddenly, he heard a loud voice saying "LEAVE HIM ALONE UNLESS YOU WANT TO DIE."

The raider cried out and ran out of the Vertibird, while the other stood there. Tyler sat up and looked out the Vertibird.

A dark blue pony with a unicorn horn and wings was standing outside the Vertibird. Tyler gasped as the raider aimed its rifle at the pony and fired.

The bullet stopped before her and turned around toward the raider. The raider stood there in awe. The pony launched the bullet back at the raider and his head exploded.

The pony looked at Tyler and started to walk towards him. Tyler was unable to move as it got closer. It stood over him and aimed its horn at him.

Tyler closed his eyes in fear of what it might do to him. Tyler felt a aura around him and start lifting him.

The pony carried him outside the Vertibird and said to him in a female voice, "Do not be alarmed, I'm here to help." Tyler nodded and the pony lowered its horn and a shimmery circle appeared. Tyler gasped as the pony picked him up and walked through the circle.

Tyler felt a massive pain in his head and he blacked out.
