If you think them clouds there are gonna make me a few new buddies here in Cloudsdale, then you're wrong. All their gonna do is be there, and you three have the potential to turn ma' whole life 'round. All ya gotta do is believe in friendship. I'll be in that there cloud over there if ya need me."

The New Mare

She was there. A part of the world, but no one seemed to notice her. She sat on a lonely cloud, shaping it into a teardrop every time one inch fell out of place of the last teardrop. Raindrops had always wanted to be more than just a sorry part of the world, but nopony important wanted her help. Nor did anyone, important, special, amazing or not, even noticed she was there. Raindrops watched every other Pegasus in Cloudsdale doing important jobs. But she particularly watched a trio of Pegasi, who worked together and got along perfectly.

To Cloudchaser, Flitter, and Cloudkicker, the new mare was just a mopey, depressed, lazy Pegasus who shaped clouds into teardrops all day, that is, when she wasn't laying on it. They didn't know her name, nor how she felt about having no friends, but they didn't really care. The only part of them that cared at ALL about the new mare was that they were wanting her to do some real work. To them, she was a sorry mare, and they didn't realize how hard life was for her. And sometimes, Flitter looked up there to see her staring back down at them. A sorry, lazy mare and an eavesdropping spy. To this trio, the new girl couldn't get any worse.
