//-------------------------------------------------------// This week on My Little Pony -by pinkie_is_the_bae- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter One //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter One Twilight took another sip of her energy drink. She had asked Pinkie to make her the most energy packed drink she could make. It tasted like cotton candy and chemicals. This was Twilights third all nighter this week, and she was exausted. She didn't want to waste any time on sleep. Sleep is for the weak she thought to herself. Besides, it will all be worth it when she saw the astonished looks on the ponies faces. Twilight wiped the sweat and grease off of her brow. She looked at the nearly completed machine in front of her and smiled. She only had to secure a few more screws and wires before her glorious creation was finished. Maybe ten or twenty more minutes. She sighed and got back to work. "FINISHED!!!" Spike woke up with a scream, and turned his head towards Twilight. She was covered in soot and grease, and she was beaming. "It took seven month but I'm finally finished." Twilight was standing next to a large machine which resembled a satellite of sorts. It had wires sticking out from every direction, and it was hastily painted silver. "Twi, its two in the morning. Why aren't you asleep?" Spike yawned. "I was so close to finishing, I didn't want to stop." Spike yawned again. "Can you finally tell me what it is? You've been keeping it a secret for months!" Twilight beamed. "You'll find out once everyone gets here! Which according to my clock is..... in ten hours! Oh my gosh, is ten hours even enough time to get ready? I have to prepare a speech!" She lifted the machine with her magic and carefully moved it to the library. She gingerly set down the machine, and double checked the library. She had already set up refreshments in the library, and had carefully arranged the chairs so everyone could see. She sat down and began her speech... Ten hours later, ponies started to file into the library of Twilights castle. They stared in awe at the machine, and sat down. Twilight was behind the machine triple checking that everything was in place. She heard excited murmering from the audience, and took that as her cue to start. She stepped in front of the machine and cleared her throat. "Hello everypony! Thank you so much for coming to the unveiling of the machine. So basically," Twilight explained, "the satellite connects itself to the portal mirror, and it uses the mirror's charge to transfer the TV signals from 'Earth' and bring them here to Equestria!" She smiled at the confused looking ponies. "Just watch and you'll see." After she finished talking, she looked out to the crowd. A considerable amount of ponies showed up, she was only expecting her friends, but the cutie mark crusaders were there, Miss Cheerilee, Big Mac, Derpy..... Even the princesses showed up. Twilight smiled to herself, and began to power up the machine. It flickered on, and began to buzz. A bright light shot out of the machine towards the projector, and a loud voice came from the speakers. The picture showed a picture of a strangely orange skinned man in a black suit. "Donald Trump lost the presidential race by a landslide! Millions of Americans cheer with glee as Hilary Clinton swears herself into office." The crowd stared in awe at the screen, and spontaneously erupted into cheers. Celestia smiled at Twilight, and gave a nod of approval. Twilight felt pride bubbling within her. Applebloom looked at excitedly at Twilight and asked, "Twilight, are there any other shows?" Twilight smiled and used her magic to change the channel several times until she stopped at channel 215. Another loud voice came from the speaker, but this time, it was her own. "Moondancer, I'm so sorry I didn't go to your party, but I hope I can make it up with this." The screen showed a picture of Canterlot, and a small party at what looked like Moondancer's house. "This was last Saturday! But how can it be...." Twilight looked back at the screen. She and Moondancer were now hugging. Millions of thoughts began to swarm in her head like wasps, each thought more deadly then the last. If this was the TV channel from earth, how can they see us? See me? Are they watching us? If so, then with what? What if they try to take over Equestria and kill us all? Oh god... The Television began to talk again. "We'll be right back to My Little Pony, Friendship is Magic right after this break." All of a sudden, the screen changed. There were strange creatures, playing with what looked to be Pinkie. "She walks, she talks, she even eats! The new Pinkie Pie doll can be found at your local Target!" Pinkie looked confused and shocked. "I'm a doll? This is so confusing.." The crowd erupted into a confused and paranoid chaos. Then came the sound of a regal voice that seemed to calm everyone down. "Twilight, maybe it would be best for you to turn that off. My loyal subjects, please return to your houses. The royal court will gather immediately to discuss what we have all witnesses. In the mean time, please do not mention this to any other ponies, until the princesses and I can come up with a logical explanation for this. Thank you." The ponies all filed out of the room. They all murmured amongst themselves, and soon the room was empty, except for the princesses and the Mane Six. Everypony had shocked and worried expressions on their faces, and looked towards Celestia in hopes that she would reassure them that their fears were irrational. "Come, My Little Ponies, let us gather in the meeting room." Celestia said in a hushed, worried tone. "There is much to be discussed." Author's Note This is my second story. The ponies entered the meeting room, and they all sat down. The mane six sat in their crystal chairs, and the princesses pulled up seats. Princess Celestia had a serious look on her face, which made the ponies worry. Celestia sighed "Honestly, I am not sure what we just saw, and I'm not sure how to deal with this." The ponies looked around at each other with worried faces. If the princess didn't know what to do, then this must be a big problem. Celestia rubbed her temples in an attempt to ease her pulsing migraine. "Twilight, could you please bring the machine here?" She resquested. "Of course Princess" With a bright flash she was gone, and seconds later, she returned again with the machine. "I wired the machine to connect with the portal mirror, so the signals are definitely coming from there." Twilight powered the machine back on, and switched the channel back to 215. The screen showed the citizens of Ponyville uniting in Luna's dreamworld to fight the Tantabus. Luna sat up and audibly gasped. "They can see into my dream realm as well? This is much worse than I thought." Luna slumped dejectedly back in her seat. Twilight stood next to the machine and took out her massive notebook. "From what I could gather in my research, these moving images are called 'Television shows'. There are nearly 3000 of them. They are created by humans and the humans somehow transport them into the television." "Wait," Rainbow responded, "so what your saying is that the humans created us? Thats messed up." "I'm not entirely sure." Twilight responded, "But I may have a way to find out. The humans have this thing called 'Netflix'. It's essentially most of the television shows and movies combined into one giant hub. I hooked up my machine to the human Pinkie's Netflix account, and I should be able to access it. Just have to change the channel input and..." She used her magic to switch the image on the screen into a white background with large red letters that read Netflix. She went into the search bar and typed My Little Pony. Many different options came up. The first was a picture of the mane six, the same picture Twilight had hanging on her wall. Creepy, she thought. The next few were pictures of the Human versions of themselves. "Ohhh, so thats what I look like as a human!" Pinkie exclaimed. "I like my outfit!" Her words echoed off of the tall crystal ceiling, but no pony was paying attention. They all had their eyes glued on the screen. The next five or so pictures were pictures of ponies, but they looked really weird, almost like a different species.. She pulled up the first one, the Friendship is magic series and went to season one. The first episode was entitled: Friendship is Magic Part 1. "Pretty stupid name if you ask me." Rainbow laughed in an attempt to lighten the mood. There were a few mild chuckles, but for the most part, every pony was too astonished to say anything. Rarity conjured up a few bowls of popcorn and some pitchers of lemonade. "Well, we should at least try to enjoy ourselves a little bit." Rarity stated. Pinkie immediately stuck her face into the nearest bowl of popcorn and started eating, but everyone else just stared at the screen with baited breath. "Ok, well here goes nothing..." Squeaked Twilight. She clicked the first episode, and the screen showed the bright colors of Equestria.. 43 hours later, they switched off the TV. "Oh my god. They know everything. This is really really bad.." Cadence muttered. The ponies nodded in agreement, each not knowing what to say. These people, they have documented every important day Equestria had ever experienced. Right down to the Cutie Mark Crusaders schnanigans... It was interesting for the to relive their experiences, but for the most part, it was horrifying. Celestia cleared her throat. The ponies turned to her hoping she would give them some insight. "Ok, the good news is that I have an idea." She looked towards Twilight. "You said the machine is connected to the portal mirror, yes? " Twilight nodded, beginning to understand what the princess was thinking. "Good. My idea is that we send Twilight through the mirror again, and have her ask the human if they know anything about what," she paused, "this is." There were sounds of agreement, and Twilight nodded. "I'll pack my things right away princess." Twenty minutes later, they were all standing at the mirror. Twilight had a saddle bag on, containing her research on the machine. The ponies were in a semi circle around her, giving her pep talks. Applejack gave Twilight a hug "Good luck sugar cube. Come back soon." The hug turned into a group hug, and as they let go, Twilight smiled at them, and stepped into the portal. It was always an interesting thing, transitioning from one body another. Twilight was never sure if she was supposed to walk into the mirror on all fours, or on two legs. Two legs was the logical choice, but it was just so god damn difficult. Twilight had decided to enter the mirror on four legs, and as she entered the new dimension on all fours, she received a few looks. Twilight stood up and brushed the dirt off her knees. She gazed upon the Canterlot high campus. They had done a few renovations... Halfway though her thought, she was knocked to the ground again by a hyper pink person. "Twilight!!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed. "We've been expecting you!" Author's Note It's a bit of a filler chapter but all of the good stuff will happen in the next chapter.
