Feathers Crowned

Lexi stood atop the stage in the new town square, her barn owl face tilting side to side. Catching chatter from the large crowd of griffens that stood before her, some about who they voted for others just talking to friends. Friends. Its been a longtime since she's been able to say friends, her jaguar tail swating a twitermite out of her face. Using her tail she rammed it into a thick silver bell that sent waves of low rumbling noise through out the whole crowd.

The square fell silent instantly all eyes on Lexi, most for the announcement, very few for other purposes. Lexi had to remember to breathe, she had severe stage fright she only agreed to this for the extra credit. "Welcome citizens of Griffenstone" she took a breath " all the tallys are in and the new ruler of Griffenstone is......." she let the sentence trail off to build tension, she held out a claw. Waiting for the letter to be placed, she felt the scratchy parchment and pulled her claw back.

She unrolled the parchment and took a minute to read it, just to tease the town. She cleared her throat, hacked up a pellet, and took a sip of water. Looking back towards the crowd she took a deep breath, "Gilda" she said clapping her claws together, proud that her friend made it to the top. The crowd parted leaving a very shocked Gilda standing in the middle of the parted crowd. A small chant started "Hail Gilda" it grew into a uproar, as griffens lifted Gilda and flew her to the palace.

They placed her on her thone. Then they layed a crown on top her head of a heavy gold, and a large ruby and a few smaller topaz created a symbol that looked like a growing flame, a red robe with black and white fur that linned the rim was drapped acrossed her shoulders. A horn was blown somewhere in the distance, the large sapphire doors groaned as they opened. A large griffen with a hawk upperhalf and lion lower walked in his head bowed the whole walk, he bowed when he reached the end of the carpet. Only then did Gilda notice the plush purple cushion laying on his back, using his tail he lifted a gold staff, her head smiling was on the top end.

She took it carefully as if she was walking through a mine field. A griffen version of Photo Finish arrived with a make up crew and a light and camera crew. Clouds made of blush and eyeshadow engulfed Gilda, when the cloud dissipated she was in a regel pose. A griffen with falcon upperbody and a tiger lowerbody, draggd a block of pure gold into the throne room. He took out a chisel and hammer and tapped it against the gold once, the whole block shuddered and huge chunks fell off creating a cloud of gold dust. In its mist a statue exactly like Gilda stood in its place still in her regel pose.

A scrawny older Griffen that was part vulture and part ocelot, aproched Gilda "Your royal highness" he bowed "i have your royal banquet planned for next evening. And a alliance with the saddle arabia is being prepared, in the light of yak-yak-astand declaring war with us." He said a beak-ish smile apeard on his beak. " Wait what" Gilda asked  less then three minutes ago she wasnt a queen, and suprise now she is. Recollecting herself Gilda sat taller in her seat, " i would love to have a letter sent to my friends in ponyvile. Telling them of our great achevment and my recent be-throning" she declared in a regal voice devoid of all slang.

A parchment and quill were passed to her, she scribbled down a few words before handing it back. A ruby color dragon lumbered into the throne room, her spikes were a deep purple. She blew a puff of blue fire at the letter, it instantly disapered. Gilda could only hope they would get it in time.

Pinkie was in Sugarcube corner with Rainbowdash and Gummy they were playing poker, "I win!" She said in a sing song voice as she dragged all the bits to her side. They could hear Dashies jaw hit the table, Gummy was chewwing on her mane. It must have tasted like skittles.

"Dang it, thats the 130 time in a row, best out of 261?" Rainbow inquired. "Oki doki loki, other round coming right up" Pinkie said her energeticness showing as she bounced around the table throwing a card at Dashie and Gummy each time she past them, eventuly each of them had 167 cards each (Pinkie poker, dont judge) They just started the first round, that was interupted by a scroll apearing from a blue flame that hit Pinkie on the head. "THE SKY IS FALLING" she squawked and dove under the table dragging Dashie and Gummy with her.

Under the table she had a hatch door opened and she slid into a bunker made out of titanfoam the walls were lined with enough canned food to feed ponyvile for a thousand years at least."we should be safe in here" Pinkie said mission complete.....for now. "Pinkie that was a letter, not the sky falling"Dashie said flying out of the bunker, "i knew that" she squawked as she bounced out of the bunker. Rainbow already was reading the letter

Yak-yak-istan declare war on us, two seconds and i have a meeting

On saturday with Applossa with apple delvires (Friday was taken by

three cats with world domination plans) and on thursday a meeting with

Sadle Arabia to discuse war plans and alliance treatys!

Needless to say i think your vist is needed right now!

Ten seconds later they were magicly in Griffenstone, "Pinkie, how did you do that?" Rainbow asked baffled "magic" she said moving her hooves around dramticly for effect, three more second later they were in the palace with Gilda. "Wait, when did you get here" Gilda asked confused "three second ago" Pinkie said cheerfuly. "What am i going to do, im not ment to be Queen" Gilda wailed, "Dont worry your pretty head, aunty Pinkie will take care of it" Pinke said patting Gilda on the head, "im older then you" Gilda snorted.

Pinkie walked out onto the balcony staring at the hundreds of Griffen convenlently there. She held her hoves out in gesture of silence "Democracy" she said, the crowd cheerd. The prince of Yak-yak-astand was convenlently there too "Peace" she said. The Prince smiled and said "no war on griffens" Pinkie waked back inside the palace. "How did you do that" Rainbow and Gilda inquired at the same time. "My dear freinds, right now a writer from Hasbro ran out of time and had to come up with a happy endings and make a moral within four minutes" Both looked confused "you'll understand when your older" she said Gilda picked a piece of parchment and a quill, the wrote

Today i learned that not everybody is fit to be royalty
