Chapter 1 ~ The Beginning
As I was carried through the clouds on the back of my mother, Purple Lightning, my father waited at our house in the White Tail Woods. My mother was a purple pony with lavender hair. Her Cutiemark was a purple owl that had a lightning streak coming from it. My father was almost the complete opposite. He was gray with blond hair. He was a Unicorn but a different kind of Unicorn. You see, his horn was a Corn-dog... (I drew his picture a while ago and he requested the horn thing...) His special talent is a corn-dog. He loves corn-dogs. (He is a special breed of pony I like to call: 'Unicorn-dog')
As we landed, I opened my eyes for the first time and was picked up by my father. We went inside the roomy cabin and they sat me down in a chair. I didn't like it. It was too hard on my soft, delicate skin, so I cried. My Dad picked me up again and walked over to a fluffy thing, which later I learned was a folded blanket.
It was soft and I was comforted but hungry. My mom gave me a bottle of warm liquid that tasted wonderful. I drank it up, but felt weird afterwards. I slowly fell asleep and had dreams of myself as a grown mare and 5 other mares, including a earth-pony filly, a grown up earth-pony, another unicorn, and two pegasi.
Little did I know that those were my destiny companions.
~Six Years Later~
I stood in front of my mirror and sighed loudly. My sixth birthday party was today and I knew nothing about magic. I tried to levitate a cup of water on my desk, but nothing happened. I tried even summoning a aura of magic around my horn but it was just like normal. Defective.
My dad walked into my room, his corn-dog horn swaying at each step. He ruffled my short hair and said:
"It'll be ok. I never knew magic other then a few spells. You will grow up to be a powerful Unicorn someday. Why do you think the Princess named you 'Magic Blast'? Because she read the future of your life. Just like she did for all the other ponies in this world." He said in his smooth, convincing voice.
"But dad," I said. "What if I can't do magic and there was a mistake? What if she saw the wrong pony's future and mixed us up?"
I could tell my father was shocked at what I said. His face was aghast as he stared into my eyes.
"D-Dad," I started, now crying. "Wh-What if-if...What if she was wrong or she lied!? What if my destiny was terrible and she felt sympathy for me!?"
"The princess wouldn't." He said. "She couldn't! Your mother was one of her favorite students at Celestia's School of Flight! She would never do such a thing!"
(Steven Universe style magic time!) Yeah...Let me finish, Ok? (Fine, but I like the drama!)
My horn suddenly glowed a bright shade of blue as I was lifted off of the ground. Beams of my magic were shot around the room. Just then, somepony ran into the room, tackling me. She got up and it was one of the ponies from my dream. I stared at her. Not knowing what to say. My dad gasped.
"Wh-What?" I asked, wiping away my tears. "Did-Did I do something wrong?"
"Your name has reason." The pony from my dream said. "Your Cutie Mark, not so much..."
I stared as she said that word....'Cutie Mark'...I ran over to my mirror and turned to my side. I blinked and my mouth fell open. I had my Cutie Mark.
