"(Those times years ago....those were the best!)" Moondancer thought. The secret grounds her friends found over the years had turned mossy, vines all over the walls, a nest with newborn chicks was up on the ceiling. A little plush toy sat on the stone seats of the old abandoned battle arena! "Let's see if I can clean this place before my showdown with Twilight." Moondancer said to herself. Twilight sent Moondancer a letter in the morning about the showdown they promised each other when they were little and decided that today would be when their promise is fulfilled! As Moondancer cleaned out the moss and vines, she thought back to the many spells she had practiced here before her parents told her to stop practicing there. "*sigh!* I miss those times in our youth..." Then she saw the plush toy. "Long time no see Mane-iac ha ha. Hmm...I know, I'll give you to Spike after a quick trip to the washing machine & dryer!" Said Twinkleshine. "Yeah, we wanna show our support." Said Lyra. "So what if Twilight's an alicorn, I've heard that you've been studying much harder!" Said Bon Bon. "Thank you girls, I'm going to need as much supporting strength as I can get." "No worries." Said Minuette before they all went to take their seats. Some time passed before Twilight finally arrived. "Moondancer!" Moondancer then turned around to see Twilight with her friends. "This should be awesome!" Said Rainbow Dash. "Hoo we! I can't wait to watch the match." Said Applejack. "Am I being biased if I cheer for you?" Asked Spike. "No, look over there, Moondancer's got her own little group of fans." "Oh, phew. Now if you'll excuse me...I'll be taking a seat next to..." Then Spike saw Rarity sitting between Fluttershy & Pinkie Pie. "*sigh* next to Applejack." When Spike took his seat, AJ put her hoof around him. "Alright old friend...are you ready for this?" "Yes, I am ol' chum!" Then the audience counted down. "3! 2! 1! FIGHT!!!" Twilight started off with the basic laser beam spell! Moondancer blocked with a force field & then counter attacked by shooting a moon rock which Twilight blocked with her own force field! Though as soon as Twilight put down her shield, she was met with a lightning bolt! That's when everything started moving in slow motion! Twilight used her magic lightning rod spell to absorb the lightning bolt a split second before it hit her! "You've certainly improved on that lightning rod spell." She complimented. "I remember when you used to get shocked the month you tried practicing that spell!" "Learning about how friendship truly works, I was able to finally master all of my spells!" "So, having bonds is what made you this strong huh? Gotta admit, after reconnecting with them again, I felt my magic get stronger." "See? Guess I really did help you with your studies?" Twilight said before lobbing an orb of energy at Moondancer which missed because Moondancer went completely flat and became one with the floor! "What do you think? I created a brand new variant of that Hay Carth spell!" "Amazing! Now take this!" Twilight then levitated Moondancer out of the floor and then flung her! Moondancer was about to land on the hard floor until suddenly Moondancer countered by teleporting Twilight under her and using Twilight to break her fall! *Crash!* "Woo hoo! Way to go Moondancer!" Cheered Minuette. "Dang! Didn't think she'd managed to get a hit on a Princess." Applejack commented. "Twilight's got the next one, I can tell." Said Rainbow Dash with a confident smirk. "(WHAT?! An Alicorn lost on the 1st round?! "Hmph! Finally got a hit on you!" Moondancer said before getting back up then offering Twilight her hoof. "I guess, but remember, our promise was that best to 3 wins!" Then they went back to their corners. "ROUND 2! FIGHT!" Everyone shouted. This Time Twilight used her advantage, wings! "Betcha can't strike me from up here!" Moondancer then adjusted her glasses as she levitated a bunch of the stones on the floor under her, allowing her to meet with Twilight in the air! "You were saying friend?" That's when the stones began chasing after Twilight! Twilight blasted all of the stones homing in on her! Then Twilight made a hard turn and began increasing her speed eventually, she then used the Sonic Twiboom and crashed right into Moondancer! The 2 of them landed on the stone floor but Twilight broke their fall with a force field. "Ha! I gotcha!" "Woo hoo! Way to go Twilight!" Pinkie cheered. "You go best princess!" Spike cheered. "You can win Moondancer!" cheered Twinkle Shine. Moondancer got back up and they began their battle next round! "Round 3! Fight!" They cheered again! Moondancer then began blasting sparkles all over the air! "Is your horn clogged?" "Nope!" That's when all of the sparkle increased in size, as spherical projectiles! "*Gasp!*" Twilight then raised her force field to protect herself from the surprise onslaught! The barrage of balls was so distracting that Moondancer then used a spell to create a blade shaped aura around her horn, to allow Moondancer to cut through the force field! Then everything began moving in slow motion again as Twilight thought fast an teleported out of the way and behind Moondancer! Smacking her! "Oof! Very clever." Moondancer complimented. "Whoa! Just one more hit and Twilight wins!" Fluttershy pointed out, excited. "Just you wait, Moondancer will win yet!" Said Lemon Hearts. Then once again, they returned to their corners. "ROUND 4! FIGHT!" Moondancer then teleported all around Twilight lightning fast! She was moving so fast that Twilight's eyes could not keep up with Moondancer! Twilight then sat still and focused. Then Moondancer struck! Twilight grabbed her hoof punch, but what she caught was a holographic projection of the real Moondancer! That's when the real one appeared & then hoof punched Twilight for real! "Now that's smarts!" Twilight complimented. "Of course it is." Everyone was silent as Twilight & Moondancer prepared for their final round, everyone's hearts were pounding hard! Ready for the end! "FINAL ROUND! FIGHT!!!" Moondancer & Twilight then fired a huge beam! Which both then collided into a power struggle then they tried hard push back each other's lasers!

She has traversed many trials with the help of her friends! All of those hard trials fighting to win! That's when Twilight felt something incredible within her! "Huh?!" *Flash!* Twilight had rainbowfied and then used her Rainbow Power to finally defeat Moondancer! "Gwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" Moondancer screamed! Moondancer landed on the stone floor, glasses broken! "Moondancer!" Cried Minuette, Lemon Hearts, Twinkleshine, Lyra, and Bon Bon! "I...lost." Moondancer said with a smile. "YEAH! Great job Twilight!" Twilight's friends cheered. "Thank you girls." Twilight then looked to Moondancer. "You did wonderful Moondancer." "Thank you Twilight, I had fun." Moondancer said as she got right back up. "You know, maybe one day, if you play your cards right, Princess Celestia will allow you to ascend into a princess as well, you have the magical capabilities, and the friends to guide you along the way." "I'll keep that in mind old friend." Then they hugged & went their separate ways...for now, looking up into the clear blue sky.

Sorry to have to leave you." *Another Flashback.* "(Twilight...you left us? You...left me?!)" *End of the flashbacks.* Through that hurt, she found some strength! She felt even more strength after she forgave Twilight for all of those years of hurt & reconnected with her friends. Then, she thought back to her strategy if she was in a power struggle. She then created split ends in her energy beam, like the split ends in her mane! The split ends flew out and struck Twilight's flank! The sudden shock halted her attack allowing Moondancer's beam to hit her! "Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" Twilight screamed as she landed on the stone floor. "Twilight!" Her friends cried. "Well, Rainbow Dash can, but still, you did amazing Moondancer." Twilight complimented. "I can tell that one day, you have the potential to become an alicorn as well." "Gee, I wonder what I'll be the princess of, split ends?" Then they both shared a laugh before saying their goodbyes. "Can we meet tomorrow so you can teach me that variant of the Hay Carth technique?" "For you, anything." Then, Moondancer & Twilight hugged. "Come on! Let's go celebrate Moondancer's victory with donuts!" "Aw yeah! Make way!" Rainbow Dash called out, as she flew ahead of everypony. Then everyone followed after and had a great day with some donuts!

Asked Twilight. "Who won?" Asked Moondancer. "It ended in a tie." Spike replied. "A tie?" They both said in surprise. Then the 2 looked at each other, the bruises in the same spots, the scratches, same, their frazzled manes, same! ..............*snicker* "Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!" The 2 of them laughed. "You should see the look on your face!" Twilight blurted out hysterically. "You're no better!" Moondancer blurted out back. Then they calmed down from their laughter in half a minute. "Well, guess this means that we're true rivals!" "Yep, if we can beat each other, it's obviously what faith had in store." "I will keep on working on my magic skill until the day I beat you in our 2nd battle!" "And you know, I will do just the same!" "You're a good friend Moondancer." "As are you Twilight Sparkle." "And I wouldn't have it another way!" The both of them said in unison. The 2 then hugged and went their separate ways, readying each other for the deciding battle to see who's truly stronger.
