Pinkie drearily looked up, watching the opening door. It mechanically opened up to reveal a tall shadow. Pinkie struggled to stand up straight as the shadow neared her. Her heart pounded and she tried to quiet her breathing.
"Come with me," the voice of the shadow stated blandly. Pinkie nodded slightly before following the unknown mate out of the dark room.
Pinkie squinted at the white light that hit her eyes as she entered the hall. She could now see the mare leading her. She had a somewhat tannish coat and pink curly hair. Her face was empty of emotion; It just looked... Tired.
The mare led the scared pink pony into the room. Pinkie looked down and tried to regulate her breathing pattern.
A shadow quickly moved across the floor, and before Pinkie had any time to look up, she felt a sharp sting produced by a slap across her face.
Pinkie cringed from the impact before looking at the mare in front of her, holding in tears.
"Where did that come from?" The angry mare asked Pinkie blandly, pointing at her chest.
Pinkie looked down quickly, seeing the pink, slightly faded cuts across her chest. She blew a quick breath out before looking up. "I-" She was tempted to lie, but then realizing that there were security cameras in her cell, they would check and she'd get in worse trouble for lying.
"I made them..." Pinkie quietly responded, her eyes darting around the room, avoiding the glare of the mare across from her.
The mare raised her eyebrow. She knelt to examine the cuts. "How?"
Pinkie held in her breath and responded even more quietly. "I keep a knife in my cell.."
The mare looked up quickly. "...How the hell did you obtain a knife?"
Pinkie let her head hang and shook it a bit. "One of the guards were patrolling while I was in the lab last week and he dropped it. I carried it back to my c-"
"How did you get that thing through the metal detectors?"
Pinkie looked up. "Decoded the system and was able to slide it through the crack with a slight power failure in the area."
The mare squinted at the cowering pink pony. "Where the hell did you learn to do that?"
Pinkie blew a strand of hair out of her face, trying to keep calm before the taller mare lashed out again.
"I watch the guards disable the system after we've all passed. I look back and watch. I've also been hooked up to a shitty machine all day. I know how that-"
Pinkie was cut off by another stinging slap. "Don't you sass me, bitch," the mare hissed in her ear.
"Yes, ma'am," Pinkie choked out.
The mare looked up at the guard. "Take her back to her cell, I want you to do a perimeter check and set up an extra camera, solar power.. I now know why we keep having power outages." The mare glared at Pinkie.
"Yes, Princess Twilight," the guard responded.
Twilight turned around before the doors shut and the two mares walked down the hallway back to the dark room where Pinkie would stay for the rest of the night.
