A Day of no Tomorrow , This is my 2nd fanfic I've planned out so far , This story was inspired by the Book ' Lord of the Flies ' I also ripped some Ideas off Katawa Shoujo How , What and Where? It all started as a seemingly easy exam day at school , all the students were moving in one direction , the school gates all happy now that School was officially over for the Summer holidays , There was so much chatter in the school's main hall that Henry and his best friend Josh couldn't hear each other screaming to the top of their voices. " Sorry Jassie I can't hear with all the commotion going on! " said Henry as he slightly tried to maneuver through the crowds of students " Can this just wait till we get outside? " He just caught a glimpse of Josh nodding as he took a shortcut out of the main building once there he turned around to see Josh approaching his eyes filled with excitement , it was like a wildfire in his grey eyes. Let me tell you a bit more about us. I'm a teenager , 16 years old , I have brown curly hair and dark brown eyes , also I usually love being the Center of attention , always tying to seek fame and popularity at school , But people always re-known me as average , even though I'm probably 30% smarter than the ' Average Joe ' I'm also pretty tall for my age , Jasmin is a bit different , She's a Tad shorter than me , also 16 years old but she's got Long blond hair and she's abnormally strong and very resilient , she's Also your typical Rich American kid but surprisingly she doesn't abuse her power and wealth over people making her a really great gal along with her Adventurous and challenging personality , she usually manages to beat me in most of the fighting sports except archery for some reason , I guess I'm talented with the eagle eye. Henry quickly went over to Jasmin slowly and calmly looking a bit annoyed. 'She was nagging me all day to tell me this , and I bet its going to be some random crap about something again ' Henry thought to himself as he giggled a bit at the thought. " Hey Henry I'm going to be hosting a little party tonigh- " as Jasmin got interrupted by non other than Charlie. Now Charlie is the Exact opposite of me , He's always the Center of attention even though he doesn't want to , and He's also very Comical ( No wonder ) , He cracks jokes all the time , makes people around him laugh and he's very Energetic and somewhat serious at needed times , I've also heard him talk about some weird Feminist conspiracies which made me laugh at his seriousness towards this subject , I think he's even converted his room to a post apocalyptic bunker , This one time He run up to me Butt-Naked asking me for money in the Boy's changing rooms right after gym class I've never face palmed that hard since then . But overall he's a generally nice and popular guy. " Guys I've been on the internet yesterday and ohmygodthefeministsarecoming! " Charlie just spewed. Jasmin was then the first one to break the awkward silence around us " So as I was saying I'm hosting a party tonight you know , a little get-together thing and best of all , My bro actually managed to get us some booze! " " You know that's Illegal right? we're still a bit young for alcohol don't you think? " I saw Jasmin take my words into consideration as she searched for the right words to say. " Yeah but its still pretty tempting to try , we're going to drink anyways when we get older " " Still I guess it can't hurt to try " I said with regret. " Can Charlie come? " " Sure I guess ," Said Jasmin " Anyways I'll have to go guys the School bus is about to leave See ya till then! " as she went running off. " Hmmpph " I moaned to myself as I left with Charlie right next to me while I leave school. Several Hours go by as Henry wakes up at Jasmin's Mansion " I bet he's dead " I heard a Familiar voice while I open my eyes to see nothing but Blurriness and loud echoing music around the house , while I see a load of people just partying and dancing all over the large Living room I suddenly realize the music is dupstep , Jesus I hate dupstep , Jasmin seemed to like it but me and Charlie thought it was ear cancer. I focus all my concentration and realize Charlie and Josh are leaning over the couch inspecting me and checking if I was generally okay. " Ugghh what h-happened. " I said under my breath. " You slipped on some Spilt beer on the floor and knocked your head , you were out cold for about ... ummm 30 minutes now. " Charlie said while Looking somewhat concerned. " Meh accidents happen , Can you guys help me up and get me outside , I think im going to throw up , It smells like Puke in here! " " Alright Henry just sit Tight " Jasmin said as she and Charlie helped me out of the Couch and onto the backyard. Surprisingly  there were no people out here and the scenery was amazing , too bad people don't appreciate nature these days. " Well I'm going to go for a walk , since I don't like seeing a bunch of drunkards around me puking everywhere , You guys wana take a stroll? " Charlie and Jasmin mumbled a bit while exchanging glances but agreed with me soon we we're walking into a small little forest with a path. as we approached a Cross sign. It read LEFT - TO BRIMSWALK CAVES RIGHT - TO EXIT FOREST Jasmin quickly spoke " Hey guys , I've heard No one was man enough to go to Brimswalk caves alone , Some weird curse some say , Others said Pedophiles and Hobos live there , I've been dared to go there and since there is no better time to do it , you guys wana go there and watch my back and stuff? " Charlie then Denied " Bad Idea Jazz, Bad bad Idea. " " I agree with Charlie , Jasmin I really think its a Good idea to go into a cave at night knowing who-knows-what is in there. " " He's just not manly enough and so are you , think of it We manage to go here at night we're popular as hell! " Jasmin said with a change in tone. " Ughh fine Jasmin but I'm calling you 7 year old from now on " She ignored that last comment as he took lead and walked towards the left of the path , God knows why I agreed with her , I guess me and Charlie don't want her to get hurt. As soon as we were walking on the path something weird happened , I've never seen something like this happen before. There was a Small Portal that Shone Orange light. What the hell? Either the Alcohol Fumes were making me Hallucinate or I keep playing Portal 2 constantly at 5 Am in the morning. Jasmin Looked surprised she couldn't believe it with his Own eyes. " Is this for real? " she said. " Dunno " Charlie slurped as he walked towards it and put his hand through and retracted it. " Sweet Jesus Charlie don't! " Jasmin looked as she accidentally tripped over her own drunkenness and tipped charlie and her into the portal. " Wow amazing the friends I have to damn put up with its like being a damn baby sitter , now they just jump into a Faffing portal without being scared or anything at first , GOD HELP ME! " I realized my friends were probably shitting themselves at where they were , and Well there's only one way to help them , I took out my Phone and started texting. " Mom , Dad . If I'm gone for more than a Week , Tell everyone I died saving my sorry ass friends , They're drunk I'm sorry mom And no I didn't drink anything , I love you guys , tell everyone back at home I said Hi " I finished texting as I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I swear the things I have to do for my friends I thought as I ran through the portal. I Open my eyes and All I see is Blackness , I Sit up from my position in a similar forest , with Charlie and Jasmin On the ground both asleep , Thank god not dead. I thought to myself What was that portal anyways? and why haven't I teleported? maybe its just my imagination. Great Charlie and Jasmin are asleep on the floor and I'm stuck in the damn forest I'm not so sure I can drag their bodies out all the way back to the house with how tired I am. "well I guess I'll have to do something right? great...." I mumbled to myself as I dragged their sleeping bodies into a few bushes , I guess that should keep them warm and safe. Well I'm not going to die yet thank god. Maybe I should go back to the Mansion and get Help for these two. Except I didn't find the Mansion , It was about 8 Pm at night looking at my watch and the trails they were different , I was expecting to see our foot prints in the dirt path but there were none , What , The hell? there's Horse shoe Prints  on the path almost the size of my palm. ' Hmm I didn't see these before , Maybe I just wasn't paying attention while I was walking ' I thought. I kept on walking but there was no Crossroad... What the hell? I Jogged back To where I've hidden The Drunken Duos and decided to Use a branch to cover up the drag marks , I then started to make a leaf bed on the opposite side of the road where I've hidden Charlie and Jasmin. I start setting a small Leaf bed up for me as well while I strip leaves off a few branches with my Pocket knife , I don't know why I had it but it came In handy it might also be useful for hunting if we get stuck in this hell hole. I start to lay on my makeshift bed Looking up towards the Calm star filled sky , and I see something whoosh past , Something small and cyan , Me too tried to see what it was. "Probably a Bird" I muttered to myself as I fall asleep. //-------------------------------------------------------// We aren't safe here. //-------------------------------------------------------// We aren't safe here. I find myself having a weird dream , I'm stuck in quicksand while I was being attacked by a Camel , Damn whats wrong with me. For some reason Charlie was on the Camel poking it to death while Jasmin was busy doing some weird crap in the corner. I suddenly wake up to find myself still in my bed but I smell a bit of smoke , I arise to see non-other than those two , for some reason and that I'm glad of is that they managed to get a Small simple fire running using some dried up grass and some branches. the problem is , It's in the middle of the damn path well... It might attract unwanted attention but that might be the only way we're going to get out. " Mornin' Henry , We aren't in the same forest anymore. " She Yelled out while cutting branches off a tree nearby. " I realized that I went out jogging at night and I couldn't find the Crossroads " I said with some Grief in my voice which was noticeable by Charlie. " Don't worry Mate , You've been in the Scouts , And we know how to handle a small camp anyways " Said Charlie as he grinned. " Yeah but He's not a hunter or something , what happens if something dangerous like a wolf jumps us or something " Jasmin quickly responded. " Yeah I've got this with me " as I take out my pocket knife and show them , Their faces shine with disappointment. " Great Henry I'm guessing a pocket knife will kill a few wolves then? " She sarcastically said with a frown on her face. " If you know where to stick it in it might. " I gave her a dumb look. " I'll have to take your word on that " she replied , Then it was quiet. " Hey Henry. " Charlie Broke the silence "If you want there's a stream you can wash yourself in near the camp , Just don't take too long we're leaving to find civilization in a bit. " A few minutes later at the stream ' Ugghhh a relaxing drink , I also wonder why I keep talking to myself so damn much. ' I laughed a bit at the thought. But I felt something wrong about the situation , It was like being watched , I quickly turn around and caught something in the glimpse of my eye moving in the bushes a few meters away from us. ' Yep that definitely moved ' I thought to myself while I took my penknife out. I was scared at this point , They called it " Fear of the Unknown " I don't know what was about to jump me , But I was ready crawling steadily towards the bush Pocket knife in hand , Adrenaline ready to pump out , Since it was sneaking up on me I just wonder what this Enemy could be , a Wolf? , Wild Dog of some sort? Or maybe was it Prey maybe a small rabbit or bird I don't know but I'm not taking the chances out in a dangerous forest. I stopped just a meter in front of the bush and I see it , ' it ' looked like a Small dog? no it didn't look like a dog it had Wings! It was a Small creature with an Orange fur coat , purple hair or fur on its head and wings.... woah .. Was I hallucinating again , I got freaked out when it jumped back into the bushes. I came closer to try to get what it was but it just kicked me in the leg when i tried to inspect the bush and ran off... Saying something ... wait? was that ' thing ' saying something? I thought I heard it scream and run away , Thank god whatever it was , That it was small , so it didn't have the power to actually  do any damage to my leg , but that sight was a bit horrific. I ran back to camp when I got back to my comrades , I told them about what happened , About that weird creature that tried to kick my kneecap and ran away when I got near. " It just got scared , But wings you say? and it had 4 legs?! " Jasmin gasped. " Yep it also had a Coat of fur and hair or fur on its head " I told her. " Pegasi ," Charlie Proclaimed " I read up about them in a Myth book in the school library , Legendary Horses with wings. " " But that thing it didn't look like the average horse. " I said in Denial. " Tell me then , what else has four legs and wings as well as a Mane on their heads " Charlie said. ' Well whatever it is , I just hope there isn't anything else " Extra Ordinary " about this place. ' I thought to myself. " Anyways let's go I don't want to stay in this forest forever " Jasmin said looking Impatient. We Both nodded and started to follow her , She was a natural born leader , well that kind of makes it the Two of us , I've always had a knack for being able to lead a small group of people and have really good co-operation skills with them , But that all depends on the person now doesn't it? Anyways we've kept walking through the forest on the only path which seems we've been walking for hours when it just was a few minutes Thankfully we had charlie to entertain us during the trip with his constant knack of jokes , Thank god for Charlie he's a real life saver. " Oh wait wait , I've got one " Charlie beamed. " Why did the chicken Cr- the hell is that!? " He gasped I turn around to see him looking at a weird " creature " again this time This one was completely black it had Blue eyes just completely blue , it had teal-ish torn wings , a little black horn coming out of its head , Holes in its ' feet ' and 2 very long fangs that I wouldn't want to go near. It Sort of Hissed and Shone its fangs onto us. " UGGHHH Its a bug! " Charlie Yelled " Quick someone step on it! " " I'd prefer not to be stepped on " said the Creature as its horn lit up with a green aurora " OH GOD BUGS CAN TALK!? " Charlie was at breaking point he just ran ahead of us. " Shit , I think its a good time to get the hell out of here " I said. Sadly both of those cowards ran away , Leaving me to my fate with this thing , I may not be the fittest person around but I can still sprint really fast if I'm scared and so I did , managing to catch up with my Former Comrades in arms. " That bug ... it could talk .... how. it sounded like gravel screeching on pavement just like dupstep. " Charlie managed to force out while gasping for air. I couldn't help but laugh , Jasmin was getting a bit furious by this but managed to keep her cool so far. But we realized we aren't int he forest anymore and there's a town in the distance , The buildings were made out of wood , a European style of housing , My only bets would be that we're in Europe and judging by the weird things around us... Medieval Europe. But that's weird I also see a barn and a farm house surrounded by apple orchids , weird ... I thought there would be more ... I don't know? Wheat fields? but that didn't bother me much , The fact that did bother me was that the Barn and farmhouse looked like American architecture ... How.... hmm maybe just a coincidence , But I can't think right on an Empty stomach , I signaled to my friends that we could get food on that apple orchid and we started heading towards that direction. Once we were close enough to the farm we managed to spot something , Horses , but they were too small to be fully grown horses , They looked like Ponies judging from Charlie's freaky knowledge of myths. Hmm must mean people around but ... why are the Ponies multicolored? I've seen a Orange one , and I believe that thing I saw before i went to bed was a Pegasus but do these people paint? the ponies. I don't understand... But I'm too hungry to think right now. I toss my Penknife over to Charlie. " Hold onto that for me while I pick some apples for us. " I said. I climbed up the apple tree and got a Dozen apples and threw them on the ground waiting for either Jasmin or Charlie to start digging in As they did I happen to see an Orange pony It had a blondish mane and a Cowboy hat coming towards us ... rope in mouth? , I yelled at my group to grab the apples AND RUN. The pony was too fast for us , it managed to Lasso Both of them in one go and I hid up the tree Hoping to stay hidden from it , But it already saw me it was too late , it just hit the tree with both her hind legs I fell out of the tree and landed head first onto the floor , I've heard my friends yelling but I blacked out. //-------------------------------------------------------// Friend or Foe? I ignore the voice to try to re-establish what happened , Apparently The last thing I remembered was falling out of a tree and almost contracting brain damage or a skull fracture but I feel the back of my head with my hands while opening my eyes ... Blurry and dark. He moved! check if he'll respond. I can hear a stinging noise everywhere around me , loud , I only managed to barely translate the words. I fully awaken with the stinging noise dying down quickly I rise up to see I'm in a Cellar with some baskets full of apples lying in the corners of the dark basement , I quickly shift my eyes from the Stone walls to my surroundings , I'm in one side of the dark room , On the other side I see both of them tied up , Charlie trying to Gnaw on the ropes while eying something in the corner. I look towards the corner to see something else tied up , the same Black body , the Limbs covered in Holes , the eyes blue , and those fangs... It looks like the insect we've encountered earlier was also in this very same Prison. " What , where are we , and what's he doing here " Pointing out to the black insect creature. " I got caught by some ponies in golden armor. " it proclaimed " They were searching the forests after they realized they found you came from there. " " Do you even have a name? " Jasmin quickly snapped at it. " You first. " it responded. Charlie seems to pay no attention to us , he's constantly gnawing at the ropes and they won't even tear or budge by the slightest , Jazz keeps telling him that it's no use but hes keen on getting out and doing something with that bug by the way he keeps eying the damn thing. " I'm Henry ... Henry Poe and I'm a Human. " I managed to Blurt out. " Strange name ... " The insect replied " Does it mean anything. " " No... It's my name why should it mean anything? " I said. " My name is Black Wings. " He said " I'm a Changeling. " He says , realizing to be fair. " You're wings aren't that black " Charlie said while chuckling as he returns to gnaw on the ropes. " That doesn't matter its my name , and I believe my Queen Chrysalis should save us, If you want to escape though I'll help out in anyway I can " He said. I start thinking ... Charlie has a fire raging on his face , It sort of looked like he was in a Bloody battle , I knew this because he was a bit claustrophobic at times and he would do almost anything to get out , even if he had to dig his way out , But my mind comes into realization ' Queen ' Black wings said... He was ruled over by a queen... well I think I noticed since all social insects that worked in groups had to have a queen? this meant he wasn't alone , there were more of his Kind running about , But why would his queen , sacrifice her life to save one subject of her ' Hive ' this lead me to believe that he was lying But still he said He'd try to help us escape and possibly help us know this world better ... maybe he isn't so bad after all , maybe we misjudged him this entire time. " Your queen , Won't save you here. " I said while shuddering at the thought of not getting rescued. Black wings was starting to look worried now , the expression on his face looks like he just realized and saw his fate as he was looking at something in the distance. Jasmin's eyes rolled back into her sockets as her eyes started emitting a dark green light , I was blinded by looking at it too long and had to look away , a strange noise accompanied this while a green light started to engulf her entire body , slowly her hands and legs started turning black and were coated in holes , her body was transforming into a different form much like that of Black Wings , but much more bigger and actually had cat-like eyes and flowing teal hair , she stood there sitting for a moment before talking yet she didn't sound like the normal changeling. " Sorry about this , I should have told you sooner " said Jasmin while looking away to escape the weird glances. " Jasmin? What how? What!? " said Charlie as I sat frozen in shock. " No time to explain , just call me Chrysalis for now. " she said. " Great do you have magical powers to help us escape? " I said " Yes let me get these ropes off then I'll help the two of you " Chrysalis said while Black Wings fainted of shock. It took a while but Chrysalis managed to get the ropes off using her telekinesis , we grabbed Black Wings  and left the cellar , Escape finally we got out of the prison we were kept in to be assaulted with bright light and what appears to be one of the ponies we encountered earlier , but this time she had a few friends , 5 other colored ponies and this other white pony that stood almost as high as me , they were eying us but Chrysalis panicked and a green light swallowed the entire group and we were back at the forest camp we made. " You can teleport too! " Shouted Charlie like he got his first birthday present. " Yeah , I can " Said Chrysalis. " So care to explain all this? " I asked while pointing at her. " Sorry I haven't told you guys earlier but I'm actually queen of the changelings , I was sent to earth to study your race , since changelings feed off love , I was planning to invade you , until I met you two , you changed my opinion , I've found friends I couldn't never give up , and besides I was kind of growing attached to you Henry. " Explained Chrysalis " What do you mean , Growing attached.... Oh you mean you ... like like me right? " Henry said while giggling. " Yes , I ... I always sort of did " She said while brushing the dust off her coat " I hate to ruin your lovebird moment together but in case you haven't noticed we just escaped from captivity and I believe staying in this forest isn't a good hiding place. " said Charlie worryingly. " Well I can't teleport back to my castle , that's a long way away from here " said Chrysalis ", And I'm sure flying won't be a good idea either since they're searching for us. " " Let's get moving then , But first let's wake up Wings with some water shall we? " Henry required.
