At the train station of Loranleas, a metro has just arrived. A girl who wears a black top, a dark purple skirt, and large mounting glasses went out of the transport. She was carrying two bags and seemed tired by her travel.

“Twilight, wait!” a guy voice said.

The girl turned to the train and sighed.

“What do you want? Don’t you see I’m late?” she replied, weary.

“I… I just wanted to say goodbye. You will be absent the whole year and… You are my little sister. I know I haven’t always been with you… I… I know I missed your birthday parties every year and… I know you must hate me because my absence but, I want you to know that I love you Twi’, I will always love you, you’re my sister… Twilight, I—“a voice cut him while he was talking:

“The metro will start after a few minutes.” It was the signal before the train’s leaving.

“I told you, I’m late. Don’t hold me up any longer, Shinin’.” Twilight warned her brother.

“Oh yes… I’m sorry… Have a great school year. Take pictures and present me your new friends when you’ll get back home for the winter holidays.” He said with a forced smile –he just wanted to cry.

“Who told you I’ll make new friends at school? I’m here for learning science! Not for making new friends or something!” she objected.

“I’m sure you’ll make friends here. Loranleas is popular for its warm and nice inhabitants.” Shining Armor continued.

“I am NOT gonna make FRIENDS! Don’t even think about it, I don’t need friends. Not anymore.” She opposed.

“Daddy said he’s sure you will. And when daddy is sure something will happen, it happens! Have fun Twily, don’t forget sending me messages…”

“I sent you a lot of messages last year, you never answered.”

Shining Armor giggled.

“I’m sorry Twilight… I was busy. I had a lot of things to do last year so I never could answer you, but, I read every one of your messages little sis’.” The metro’s doors started to close. “I’ll miss you…” he said before the doors close completely.

Twilight waited until the metro leaves and after, she went out the subway station.

Learning was the favorite hobby of Twilight Sparkle. Science was her life, math was her best friend and chemistry was her second family. But, making friends was the worst thing her family never expected from her.

And Shining Armor, her big brother, also wanted her to make new friends. It seems like everybody had a yen for seeing her die, but, on the contrary, they only wished the best for her.

“Shining Armor…” she murmured.

A tear rolled down her cheek.

“I’ll miss you too…” she added.

Twilight had just put her stuff on the ground and she was immediately smashed by a skateboarder. She slammed into the ground and her bags fell brutally then, they opened. All of her stuff was spread on the ground.

“Are you out of your mind?!” Twilight yelled.

“Ooooops” the skateboarder replied.

The girl gathered her things and put them away. The skateboarder held out his hand.

“No thanks. I can get up alone.” She refused his help.

“Really? That’s good; I wasn’t going to help you anyway.” He admitted. “I just wanted to recover my MP3. It fell here a while ago…” He added with a smirk.

Twilight freezes. Why this revelation was so surprising?

“You smashed me and because of you, all my stuff was spread on the ground and the only thing you thought about was recovering your thingy?” she said with considerations.

“Yeah! What does it do?” he answered. Then, he glanced at his watch and mentioned: “Did you see what time it is? I have to go!” Then, he grinned broadly and left.

“See? That’s why I don’t need friends…” she said to herself. “People make fun of me… always.” Twilight repositioned her bags and stood. She called the taxi cab service of the city and books a taxi. Then, she starts to wait.

Two or three hours after, it's still no taxi in sight. It was getting late and she stills haven’t reached her destination. Indeed, she had to go to “The talent’s school” which is located somewhere in Loranleas for studying sciences and chemistry. She knew no people living in this town so she could ask nobody to take her to the school.

“Why is the taxi that late?” she wondered.

A blonde girl dressing cowboy hat was standing not away from her. She decided to ask her if she knew anything about taxis and their delay...

“Excuse me… I… I book a taxi, maybe three hours ago, but it hasn’t arrived yet… Are taxis always that late?” she asked.

“What? Taxi? Sorry sweetheart, this town has no taxi!” the girl answered.

“WHAT?! But… the man said that…” Twilight was in shock, ready to faint. But, she didn’t know what was worse… That the girl called her “sweetheart” or that the town has no taxi and the guy that she talked with on the phone has lied to her…

“But you can take the bus!”

“Cool! Where can I find buses?”

“Right there! But… The buses don’t run at this time… They start at 7 am and stop at 9pm.” The blonde haired girl said.

“Neat…” Twilight still inexpressive. “I’m stuck here for a few more hours.” It was 10 pm.

The girl seemed to think for a while and told:

“I know what to do! Ya’ll come with us! My family will arrive by car in an instant. Just, wait here with me for their arrival.” She smiled widely, Twilight still pensive. “Where ya wanna go?”

“The talent’s school. Do you know where it is?” The science lover asked.

“Yeah of course! I’m going there!” The girl giggled. “It’s awesome, isn’t it?”

“Probably…” Twilight sighed.

“My name is Applejack! What’s yer name?”

“Huh… Twilight Sparkle.” She said.

A big black colored car arrived driving very fast. It’s parked in front of the girls.

“Applejack! Yoo-hoo! How are you big sis?” a little redhead yelled.

“I’m good Apple Bloom! How are you y’all? Hey Big Mac! Granny smith!”

Twilight blinked. They looked just like fools…

“Get in! Hurry up! I wanna drive!” an old woman yelled.

“Granny, ya know how to drive?” The blonde girl looked puzzled.

“I got my driver’s license! Isn’t it cool?”

“’Yup… And she’s destroying my car now…” a guy told.

“Oh, come on Big Mac! Yer car is as new as when ya purchased it!” the grandma ensured.

“Nope…” the guy sighed.

“Let’s go Twilight! Get in the car!” Applejack said.

“Okay… Do you have enough space for my bags?” She asked.

“Sure, we have! Don’t worry!” The blonde girl reassured her.

“Then okay, I get in…”

Applejack threw the bags on Apple Bloom and Big Mac.

“Ya see? We have space!” She smiled.

Twilight grimaced. She wasn’t sure it was a great idea to follow this band of fool, but, it was the only way to go to the talent’s school… She wished that nothing bad would happen…
