Payback Is A Bitch

Sombra just stared at me as I gone crazy, I waved a hand in front of his to get his attention. He blinked a couple of times.

“Did you just say that you want me to find you a house?” He asked me

“Yes, is that so difficult?”

“No but are you not living with Shyla and her son?”

I got up and started to pacing around the room. “That’s the problem, ever since I told her I eat meat she has looked at me different likes she waiting for me to eat them and it’s creping me out.”

“I can understand that she looks at you different, the crystal ponies did exactly the same with me but in time they accepted me for who I am.”

“They have to accepted you, you are their king.” That was maybe not the smartest thing to say. “Sorry, I did not mean it like that, I’m just a little frustrated right now.”

Sombra did something I did not expected him to do, he smiled. I thought he would punch me in the face or throw me out of the castle, I guess I was wrong.

“That’s alright, I’m not mad. If you really want to move out I see if I can find you a house.” He was about to say something else when someone knock on the door. “Come in.” The door open and in came the same guard that showed me exit on my second day, he saluted.

“I’m sorry to disturbed you king Sombra but there’s a problem on the training ground.”

“Don’t tell me, captain Shield?”

“I’m afraid so.”

Sombra groan when he heard that. “Thank you, I deal with right away.” The guard saluted again and walked out of the room. “I’m sorry Wolf but I have to deal with this problem.”

“Is something wrong?” I knew that it was not my business but when the guard said Shields name it got my attention, I still owe him a beat down after he arrested me on my first morning here and what he did to Shyla’s door. Yes, I wrote door bite me.

“It’s captain Shield, his in charge of training recruits but he can be a little rough of them.”

“Is it okay that I come with you and watch?”

“I don’t see any problem with that, follow me.”

He got up and walked out the door and I followed him, out in the hallway I could see the snow wolf just sitting there where I left him. When he saw me he got up and followed me and Sombra.

The training ground was nothing special, I could see targets they could shoot arrows at, training dummy they could practise swords against and there was a giant ring in the middle. There were Shield and an another crystal pony, a mare and he was given her a hard time. He swung his sword as violent as he could, it was like he was trying to kill her not train her. I could she see the other guards just standing there, I could also see some maids here too.

The mare was lying on her back and she was holding her shield right in front of her face while the so called ‘captain’ is swinging his sword as hard he can towards her shield, what the hell? I looked over to Sombra and he was mad, I could actually see fire in his eye and let me tell you it was scary as hell. He walked towards them.

“What in Tartarus are you doing Shield? Are you trying to kill her?”

Shield stopped and looked over to Sombra, he was not faced at all by his king shouting at him, he did not even salute. The more I saw him the more I hate him.

“I’m doing my job king Sombra and that’s training the recruits.”

“This is not training when you are trying to kill her, there’s a reason we use wooden swords not real ones.”

Shield just snorted. “Wooden sword? Really? That won’t prepare them for the real word.” He then pointed his sword at Sombra. “A real sword will.” That’s it, I had enough. I walked over to them and I could see Shield looking at me. I finally got see Shield for the time and what got my attention that he looked like Red, what the fuck.

“What are this prisoner doing her? Guard, arrested him.” The guards did not move. “I gave you all an order.”

“Wolf is here as my guest captain and he will be treated as such, is that understand?” Said Sombra

“Yes my king.”

They stared to argue but I did not listen to them I decided to help the mare up on her feet, I gave her a hand and she gladly took it. When she was I got to get a better look at her she was an earth pony, she had yellow fur and white hair. I was about to asked her if she was okay but then I got a sword in my face, I looked to my right and there stood Shield and he was not happy.

“What are you doing?”

“I’m helping her up, do you have a problem with that?”

“The weak don’t deserve help.” What an asshole. “Only the strong one deserve help.” Okay, he’s dead.

“I have a proposal Sombra.” That was not probably the best thing to say, I did not say king Sombra and well let’s say the guards started taking.

“And what that be Wolf?” Sombra asked me and he was intrigued.

“A fight between me and Shield, if I win then he gives up training recruits if he wins then he can keep training them.”

“This is a stupid proposal why would I fight somepony that have none fighting experience? I’m surly going to win.”

I pushed away his sword and walked straight to him. “I guess you have nothing to worried about then.”

“I approved.” Shield was surprised that’s for sure. “A fight between Wolf and captain Shield, if Shield loses he will give up training the recuts if he wins then he can keep on training them but this will not be a fight to the death, is that clear Shield?”

“Yes my king.”

Shield was not happy and that was the plan. I took of my jacket and my shirt when I did that I could hear taking around me and I could swear I heard some of the mares whistled well I did let them see my upper body. I got a six pack and I got muscle on my arms, yes I like to keep myself in shape but I must admit that it has become a bit harder since I got here.

When I took my position in the ring and Shield took his position opposite of me he had a sword and a shield while I had nothing.

“Don’t you need a weapon Wolf?” Sombra asked me.

“No.” That was my answered, I never liked using a weapon I prefer to use me brain and my fist. Shield just laughed at me.

“This is going to be easier than I thought, I’m fighting some wolf that even won’t use a weapon.”

I crossed my arms. “Just shut up and attack already I don’t have all day.” That made him angry.

“I’ll will teach you some respect.”

He did something I did not expect he actually threw away his shield, he grabbed the sword with both of his hands and he came towards me. He raised his sword to take a swing at me but I doge the attack, he tried again and again but I manage to doge them all now you are probably wondering how I managed to doge them all, I could read him like open book.

“Why are you not fighting back? You just dogging them like a coward.”

“I’m not a coward, it’s called being smart.”

My goal was to tiered him out but since he is an earth pony it took a little longer than I expected so I decided to finished before I ran out of stamina. He raised his sword over his head to take another swing, this was my chance. I could see that he swung his sword as hard as he could but I managed to catch the sword between my hands, I’m just glad I managed to grabbed the sword and let me tell you he was surprised.

“How? How did you do that?” Shield said through gritted teeth.

“I told you, it called being smart.” I answer him.

“Do you really think that you can defeat me by dogging my attacks.”

“That was not my plan, my plan was to find a weakness in your armor.” He just laughed. “You have the right to laugh, there are only two places where your armour is vulnerable. The first one is your face.” Before he could react I got the sword to the side and then I headbutt him in the nose. “And this is second one.” Before he could recover I kicked him in the balls, I could hear a lot of ‘ooooooo’ and I could swear that some of the guards fainted.

When it came to Shield he just stood there making a face, I had just kicked him in his private part. Eventually he fell on the ground face first, perhaps it was unfair move but Inn a fight everything is permitted.

I walked over to where I had thrown my thrown my jacket and my shirt, I took and got dress I then looked at Sombra. “I think I won.”

He nodded. “In did you did Wolf.” He looked at two guards. “You tow.” Both of them saluted. “Take captain Shield to infirmary and get him an icepack.”

“Yes sir.” The said simultaneously.

They picked up Shield by his arms and drag him off the training area, did I feel sorry for him? Hell no.

“I’m guessing you need a shower Wolf.”

“I could use a shower right about now.”

He looked around the training ground looking for something, I did not know for what. What am I a mind reading.

“Aarushi.” I could see one of the maid’s steep forward, she has blue fur and here mane and tail was pink. She was actually kind of cute but what got my attention that she was not a crystal pony but a normal earth pony.

“Would you escort Wolf to one of our guest room so he can have a shower.”

“Of course my king.”

I could see that he was satisfied. “The rest of get back to training.” The all did as he said. “I hope that you would join me for dinner later today Wolf.”

“It would be my pleasure.”

“Good, now if you excuse me I have to find replacement for captain Shield.”

With that said Sombra left the training area then Aarushi came over to me.

“If you would follow me Mr Wolf.”

She led me out of the training area and the snow wolf followed me. We walked in silence until I decided to speak.

“how long have you been a maid?” I asked her.

“About two weeks.”

“That’s not very long, why did you became a maid?”

“Actually I wanted to become a guard but I’m not very brave so I took the job as a maid.”

“Were you born in the Crystal empire?” She looked over her shoulder. “Just wondering.”

“Yes I was born in the empire my father is normal earth pony while my mother is a crystal earth pony, my father moved to empire when he was young and fell in love with my mother.”

At that point I did not think that it was possible that a normal pony and crystal pony could have children but who am I to argue about that and I learn something new, that’s cool.

It did not tale long before we arrived at a door I assumed that was the guest room, she stopped at the door.

“Here we are.” She turned around and gave me a kiss on the cheek, my eyes widened.

“What’s was that for?” I touched where she had kissed me.

“That’s was a thank you for saving my friend.”

Friend? “You mean that mare he was beating?” She nodded. “But I did nothing it was king Sombra that stopped the fight.” I’m glad I remember to say ‘king’ this time

“That’s true but you did something all of the guards wanted to and that was to teach the captain a lesson.”

I leaned against the wall. “I guess he is not that popular then?”

She just snorted. “That’s a mild way to say it, I heard from some of more experienced guards that he is living Tartarus to work with.”

I was not surprised. “As much I enjoy this conversation I really should take that shower I smell like a big.” I sniff myself and did really smelled like Pigma, now that’s a disturbing thought. Oh good now I can’t stop think about that, crap.

I actually thought that she would not think that ‘I smell like a pig’ was not funny but she laughed.

“Yeah you smell pretty bad.” When she walked beside me she actually bumped her hip against me. “See you around handsome.” With that she was gone.

What just happened? Did she just flirt with me? To be perfectly honest I don’t know, I never been any good when it came too woman. I could see the snow wolf sitting there staring at me. “What?” He just yawned. “Look who I’m asking, come on.” I open the door and walked into the room the wolf followed after me.

The guest room was nothing to brag about a bed, dress, a desk and night stand, it was not that fancy either which was weird. To be honest I did not care as long it was a bed there. The bathroom was as you expected as normal that bathroom could be, it had a shower and sink. When I think about it, it’s weird that manged to invent refrigerator and shower but not a television. My life sucks.

I took of all my clothes to take a shower, when I only had my underwear left I remember that the wolf was in bathroom with me so I pointed at the door hoping that he walked out and thank good he did. I closed the door, took of my last piece of clothes and my eye patch and took a shower.

I don’t know how long I was in there but when I came out I felt like a new wolf, I grabbed one of towels that was hanging on the wall. After I had dried me I hang the towel around me waist and walked to the mirror by the sink, as I looked into the mirror I wonder just how I am.

When I worked for Andross I did it for the money and it made me feel good, as the time past I stared to regret the things I did. I know no matter what I do I can’t bring back the dead, they are dead and I killed them that I know. I can still see the face of those I have killed and it’s haunting me, I’m no hero and I will never be one.

I was brought back to real world by someone knocking on the door to the guest room.

“Mr. Wolf? Dinner is ready.”

Already? How long was I in the shower? I walked into the bedroom with my clothes in my arms.

“Just give me a minute, I have to get dressed.”

“Alright then.”

I removed my towel and when I stood there naked the door open.

“Mr. Wolf do you need…..”

And there stood Aarushi looking at my naked body, I could see her blushing her face was red as a tomato. We just stood there looking at each other, I was the first to say something.

“I said I need a moment.”

That brought her back. “Y-y-y-yes of course.” She littered slam the door behind her.

“Well, that just happened.”

She just made things awkward between use that’s for sure, I got dress as fast I could so nothing more would happen I did not think that anything would happened but I would not take that chance.

After I got dressed I walked out the wolf followed me, once outside I could see Aarushi standing next to the door trying to pretend nothing happened. God luck with that. When I closed the door it got her attention because she jumped a couple feet in the air.

“Please followed me.”

She did not even look at me as she walked down the hall and I don’t blame her, I followed her. We did not talk and the embarrassment scale on top that’s for sure, we arrived at a two massive doors she pushed them open she is stronger than she looked that’s for sure.

The dining room was huge and I was just guessing that was dining room, mostly because it looked like a dining a dining room but bigger. It had a hug chandelier hanging from the ceiling and candles on a giant table, Sombra was sitting at the other end.

Aarushi bowed walked backward and closet the doors a she walked. I walked towards Sombra.

“Is this really necessary? Eating at a giant table?? I asked him.

“Well, this is the dining room after all. It was my ancestors that wanted a giant room so they could eat, they also use it when they had visitors from other nations.”

I sat down on the chair next to him. “I’m guessing that Celestia has never eaten her before.”

He shocked his head. “No, but her father has and let me tell you he is much nicer than she is.”

“Did you say ‘he is’? Is her father still alive?” He nodded while drinking from a glass. “If he is still alive, why is he not in charge? Why let a pampered child ruler over a nation?”

He sat downed his glass and shrugged. “Apparently it’s her destiny to rule Equestria.”

“That’s bullshit.” He looked at me confused. “What I meant yeah right, I don’t believe that your destiny is written in stone. You are the one decide your own destiny.”

I did not know how he would react so I was surprised when he smiled.

“I liked those words ‘you are the one decide your own destiny,’ in my case my destiny was chosen when I was born.”

“How?” I knew the answered so I don’t know why I asked that.

“My father was king before me so I inherited the throne after him.” Yeah I know I’m an idiot.

The rest of dinner we eat in silence, again thank good they had meat. I was still hungry thanks to the snow wolf I should give him a name, after we were done eating a new maid showed me to my room I was aa little sad that it was not Aarushi.

After I had arrived back to my room I just lay there staring at celling listening to music, my IPod had run out of power two days ago but Sombra manged to charge it up to full power again, magic. Anyway, I just lay there thinking that it would only get worse in empire.
