It was a relatively peaceful day in Equestria today. More so than any other day in fact. From every blade of grass to the lovely shade of the sun's rays. Truly peaceful indeed.
But Equestria's peace is not what we are focusing on today. No, we are focusing on a beautiful young mare who is seen trotting down the road with an elegant grace to her step. This beautiful mare was a lovely sight to many young colts. Why you ask? She was the famous supermodel Fleur Dis Lee.
Her coat was a light, yet somewhat dark shade of white like the snow, her mane a flowing pink like a blooming cherry blossom. She had beautiful pink eyes and to complete her appearance was her signature Cutie Mark.
Anyway, where were we? Ah yes, as the young, yet beautiful mare is seen trotting down to her favorite modeling store, she does not know that this particular day would be one that would change her forever (literally and figuratively)!
' ~Sigh~ Why did I forget that map to my favorite store today?' She thought to herself. 'Today is Discount Monday! I can't afford to miss out on any good deals, otherwise I'll lose popularity as a supermodel.' Taking a deep breath to calm herself down, she then shook her head and once again began to trot down to the store, not willing to show her frustration publicly.
'It doesn't matter I guess. I'll always be popular in many other ways.' She internally reassured herself. "Now," she said aloud to herself. "Where is the nearest directory? Hmm..."
Before she could think any further, a voice called out. "Well if it isn't the lovely Fleur!" The pony who said this was quite fancy for lack of better term. He wore a suit and a monocle over one of his eyes. He had a blue mustache, a white pristine coat, and blue eyes. This was none other than Fleur's longtime friend and colleague Fancy Pants.
"Oh! Why hello Fancy Pants!" She said in a jovial tune. "What brings you here today?" She asked politely, yet with some curiosity.
"Why the same as you my dear!" Fancy said. "I was planning on visiting Dazzling Gleam's Magnifique Boutique for some fancy accessories. After all, today's Discount Monday! Ha ha!"
Giving a small smile at her friend's antics, Fleur said, "Well yes. I was on my way there as well. But it would seem I've lost my way." She then winked at Fancy flirtatiously. "You wouldn't mind helping little ol' me get there would you...darling?" She finished the last part of her sentence in a small seductive voice.
Feeling a tad uncomfortable, but quickly regaining his composure, Fancy said, "Wh-why of course Fleur! Please, follow me!" At that, he slowly lead the way to Magnifique Boutique with a giggling Fleur behind him.
At last, they had managed to arrive at the famous boutique. Magnifique Boutique quite literally lived up to it's name. It was actually one of the most famous kinds of boutiques in Canterlot. Similar to how Carousel Boutique was in Ponyville.
Said boutique was much more "refined" for lack of better term and well-themed for Canterlot as well. It was similar to a mini palace of sorts. Silken drapes and an assortment of gems glittered, dazzled, and decorated the beautiful stone boutique. Around the front entrance, there was a red carpet, signifying that only those of the most wealthiest of ponies could enter. And finally there were two wooden doorways complete with door knockers in the design of the Two Royal Sisters.
This sight never ceased to amaze Fleur and her companion. With a gentle nudge, the door opened and Fancy Pants politely offered for Fleur to go in first. Fleur blushed at his generosity and gave a smile as well. "Why, my humble thanks kind sir!" She giggled to Fancy whom blushed back.
The inside of the boutique was almost just as impressive as outside. The floor was a polished marble, there were many dresses aligning the shelves (for an absurdly high price), and many more of the beautiful gems decorating the rest of the interior. To finish off the rest, there was a glass window on the ceiling, allowing any pony to see the morning sun, or evening stars depending on what time they come in.
The two fully entered and were then greeted by a cheerful voice. "Hello Fleur! And hello to you too Fancy Pants!" A beautiful pegasus mare said with a sweet smile.
She was completely pink in color with a blue mane and deep green eyes. Her Cutie Mark was that of a shimmering ruby with a dazzling rainbow covering it. Hence her name, Dazzling Gleam. Now, it wasn't uncommon for a pegasus to take such a job (take Fluttershy for example), but it was a rare sight. Dazzling was well-known for her great speed in making popular dresses and suits right off the bat. Not to mention of course, her beauty. Even with or without makeup, she was quite a sight for many just like Fleur.
"Why hello Dazzle!" Fleur said calling Dazzling by her nickname with a smile on her muzzle. "I hope I'm not too late to see your latest fashions?" She questioned.
"And myself as well m'dear?" Fancy asked.
"Why of course not!" Dazzling said happily. "I've always got spare clothing for my two greatest customers! Even if I didn't, I'd make them faster than you could blink!" She then motioned the two over with a hoof to follow her.
A few hours later, Fancy Pants and Fleur Dis Lee had found what they were looking for and proceeded to leave with many bags levitated by their magic.
Fancy left right before Fleur and bid her adieu, hoping to see her again soon. Fleur was well on her way too, before Dazzling called out to her. "Oh! Fleur! Please wait a moment!" She said, remembering that today was a very special occasion for her friend.
"Oh?" Fleur said curiously. "What's wrong Dazzle?"
"That's just it Fleur!" Dazzling said with her wing buzzing like crazy due to her excitement. "Your birthday is today!! Don't tell me you forgot?"
Fleur gasped. It was true that today was indeed her birthday! "Oh my gosh!" Fleur said doing a complete 180 and suddenly becoming gleeful.
"Yeppers!" Dazzling agreed. "Anyway, as one of my best of customers, I made this for you!" At the end of her sentence, Dazzling sped over to her desk and quickly grabbed a beautiful pearl necklace with a ruby in the middle out of it.
Slightly trembling with tears in her eyes, Fleur reached out a hoof and tentatively grabbed it, careful not to drop it. "Oh my...Dazzle...its, simply perfect!" She finally was able to say.
"I'm really glad you like it Fleur!" Dazzling said. She then took it out of Fleur's hoofs and put it over her neck gently and with perfect finesse. This only seemed to make Fleur even more beautiful than before!
"From now on, you'll be the greatest supermodel with that on Little Flower!" Dazzling said, calling Fleur by her own nickname.
No longer able to hold her tears back, Fleur happily hugged Dazzling in a gentle embrace. She sobbed tears of joy as Dazzling gladly rubbed her hoof on Fleur's back while calmly 'shh-ing' her
After finishing the embrace, Fleur wiped her tears away and thanked Dazzling. "Thank you again Dazzle! I really love this gift. Anyway, I'll need to be on my way now. Goodbye!"
"Bye bye Fleur!" Dazzling said happily. Suddenly gaining a mischievous smirk, she added, "Don't forget your map next time! Tee hee!"
Fleur immediately turned away, hiding her flustered face. "Umm..." She stammered. "O-of course! Ha ha ha!" She laughed with an embarrassed smile. 'Still though, I kinda wish you hadn't said that in public though Dazzle. Ah well. Thank Faust there isn't anypony around right now.' She thought.
Both then waved goodbye one more time, and Fleur was on her marry way back home. Before she could get past Canterlot Castle (a mile from where her home is), she suddenly felt a ringing sensation in her horn. It wasn't a throng that hurt her, but it still felt strange. Why? Deciding to investigate, she reached some nearby woods close to her home.
There, a few yards away from her position, was some sort of rainbow portal! Curiosity piqued, Fleur went a little closer to investigate. That was when all Discord broke loose!
*Achoo! I'm sorry, you say my name?*
*DISCORD!!! Quit breaking the fourth wall!! Get outta here! Ahem. Sorry. Resuming story*
As soon as she reached the strange portal, a flash of light was suddenly seen in Canterlot Castle with a few others in different areas of Equestria. The portal then began to suck in Fleur. Gasping, Fleur could only watch as she was slowly being pulled in this nightmare of a black hole! Making one last desperate attempt to escape, she tried to use one of her hooves to grab onto something, but all she grabbed was her bags.
And with a scream, she was sucked in; the portal suddenly collapsing as if it was never there.
---Unknown Forest---
Fleur slowly opened her eyes and saw that she was in some sort of forest. She also spotted want appeared to be a crystal tree. "Wha...where am I?" She was able to gasp out before falling unconscious once more, not hearing the voice calling out to her.
"H-hey! Are you alright miss?!"
