Waking up, Spike suddenly finds that everypony in Poneville has changed. For some unknown reason, they have all started to act the same way, dress the same way, even have the same goals and desires.

At first it only seems strange, yet soon Spike sees that his friends plan to changing Equestria for the worse and harm themselves in the process. As the only one not affected by this mass insanity, he must find the cause of this phenomenun and deal with it before things get out of control.

Even worse, Spike soon discovers he might not be the only one unaffected...
