Dear, Celestia,
My time in Griffonstone has been interesting, to say the least. As you know, they eat meat, and my people eat meat. So they have enjoyed a lot of the various preparations of meat I have shared from my world. Turns out, they quite enjoy Barbecue. I have to thank my dad for that skill. They are true Texans at heart. Oddly enough, though, they remind me of the Japanese culture from Earth. Their wing-blades are very similar to the Katana's of Japan. They also have this obsession with Honor, just like the Japanese. Regardless, I love their culture and they’re very nice people (If sometimes a bit snobbish). On my first day here, this young guy came up to me and started saying some ridiculous things about me. Saying that I couldn't possible hold up in a real fight. I kindly told him otherwise and that I have indeed fought and won more than one opponent in my life. He then challenged my to a duel, on his honor. This was the first, and not the last, encounter I had with Griffon Honor. I bested him, not very easily, mind you. He fought a good fight, but ultimately failed. He ran of in a fit off rage, one I didn't understand until the griffon ambassadors explained. He had "dishonored his clan", apparently. This is my first stop out of four on my tour of Equestrian Ally Countries. I have another month, according to my Adviser. I look forward to seeing you again. Love you.
Your love,
R. J. Douglas
