Don´t like Discolight/Twicord? WHY ARE YOU READING THIS?!

Chapter 1
Once upon a time, there was two kingdoms; one was filled with all kinds of ponies unicorns,pegasi, earth and the ocassional alicorn.The other was the home of an incredibly magically powerful species called the draconequi. Both kingdoms were separated by a very large and dangerous forest, ponies rarely if ever entered and, because of this distance, ponies and draconequi hardly made contact often.In fact, ponies found draconequi to be either ugly or terrifing or both.
But one fateful,stormy night................
The "just-recently-crowned" lord Discord had bumped into an old mare asking for his help but lord Discord completely ignored her.Despite her aging bones hurting, the old unicorn was able to cast a revenge spell on the lord.The young creature returned to his castle to find his kingdom in ruins and his wonderful reality-vending powers gone, suddenly, he heard a voice behind him saying "If you learn to give love to somepony, it´ll be back" but the lord did not listen.He locked himself in his castle, away from anyone else.Like said before, ponies thought he was the "Monster King".And Who could ever love a monster?
It was a beautiful summer morning and three ponies and one baby dragon made their way to the edge of the forest.These ponies were Twilight Sparkle, her older brother Shining Armor and his fianceé Mia More Cadenza AKA Cadence; the dragon´s name was Spike, he had been found in the forest by Twilight when he was just a helpless egg and was adopted by her as a.............................Nobody knew what those two were, not even themselves thought they couldn´t be mother and son, as Twilight had just became nineteen recently.Nevertheless, they and Shining Armor were three peas in a pond, never to be separated..........................Until now.
"Take care of yourself now, Shiny" Cadence said as she pecked him on the lips.
"I will, don´t worry, Candy" Spike stuck out his toungue and Twilight mouthed an AW!.
As a royal guard,it was Shining Armor´s duty to hunt down every thread to the pony kingdom and, now, he was on his way to
battle in the Everfree Forest. "If you need help, just do the signal and I´ll go look for you, I promise" Twilight said to her sibling.
The unicorns both made a cross around their hearts and put a hoof over their left eye.After that, they exchanged a hug which the other two were quick to join in."Goodbye"
"Bye"
They waved their hoofs and claw at him until he was finally out of sight.Then, Twilight levitated a book out of her saddle bag and started reading from it.
"Ugh" The pink alicorn beside her groaned
"What?"
"What is it now?"
"Oh, it´s Draconequi History and Mytology" The unicorn said with a smile, as she showed the cover of the book to her future sister-in-law.
"Why would you want to know of a kingdom that nopony has been to in years?"
"Um, maybe because it´s my thing? Studying?"
"Someday, things are going to change"
"Sure" She said, in an obvious sarcastic and annoyed tone "Come on, Spike"
The young dragon sat down on the mare´s back as she walked, her nose stuck in her book, not caring about anything other than what was about to be studied and learned.Not knowing how much she was about to learn.
"There, all done" Shining smiled at his mision acomplished.Suddenly, he heard something behind him, a howl."TIMBERWOLVES!" He shouted, horrified and started running, he didn´t care where he was going, he just wanted to stay away from the wooden creatures following him.
He ran as fast as he could until finally he bumped into a huge castle, completely dark and black except for some red flags in the roof.He started knocking furiously with both his whooves.
"LET ME IN! PLEASE! I BEG YOU!" He shouted but received no response.
With his strenght, he ended up making a hole in one of the doors and got in throught it.The castle looked insane; every wall was a different color patern and, since it was so dark, he would always trip over stuff he could hardly recognize even after touching them.For some reason, Shining Armor felt like that place used to be full of life but not anymore, he casted a lamp spell and looked around to realice it was full of stairs everywhere and even some of them floating; he started climbing up one of them and ended up returning to the same spot.After a while, he found a red wooden door and decided to open it.Inside, he found the most odd looking thing:
It had serpent-like body full of brown fur; the head of a gray goat; the paw of a lion and the claw of an eagle; the blue wing of a bird and the purple wing of a bat; the back-leg of a light brown pony and of a green lizard; two mismatched horns and bright, terrifing yellow eyes with red pupils.It turned around and spoke in an even more terrifing male voice:
"WHAT are YOU doing in MY CASTLE?!"
"I-I-I´M SORRY, SIR! There´s timberwolves outside and I need your help! Can I at least stay here until next morning? Please? I BEG YOU!"
The creature groaned "FINE! You wanna stay?! BE MY GUEST!"
The creature lift him up and flew with his mismatched wings to another room, this one with more light in it but a lot less warm; in fact.....................It was so cold................so very cold.The room was a dungeon and, though he was terrified, Shining Armor did his best not to snap at the creature for fear that he would snap at him.He locked him out and flew away.Almost inmediately, Shining Armor casted a spell that projected a large pink star in the sky.
Shining Armor found himself in Ponyville sooner then he expected to and, once he did, he ran home, not caring what happened around him.
"SHINING ARMOR!" Spike smiled and hugged him, despite the tears in his eyes "Where´s Twilight?"
"She´s locked up"
"Locked up?"
"It´s a long story and I want Cadance to know too"
Twilight had only been three days in the castle and already she felt horrible.She had spent hours just walking around opening doors.Eventually, behind a golden door, she found something she had been wanted to find since day one.
"A LIBRABRY!" She shouted, squeeing as high as she possibly could.She´d never seen so many books in her whole life!
Suddenly, her keptor came flying towards her.
"WHAT IS IT?! WHAT´S WRONG?! Someone breaking and entering? WHERE ARE THEY?!" He asked, moving his head to multiple directions at once.
"Nothings wrong.Actually, I´m better than I was before"
"Really?"
She nodded and he blushed.
"Apologies, when I heard you scream, I thought........"
"That I was in danger?"
"I.................Yeah"
"Well, I´m not. Eased your worries?"
"A little"
She smiled "I´ve never seen so many books in my whole life!" She started looking around and gasped at a pile with eleven light green ones "YOU HAVE THE WHOLE DARING DO COLLECTION?!"
"You like reading?"
"My favourite pass time You?"
"Never tried"
"You don´t know what you´re missing! I would love to read this again"
Without saying another word, the unicorn levitated one out of the pile and sat down right next to the window.Discord just stared at her as she started reading with a nice smile drawn on her; very diferent smile that he had seen days ago when she found her brother beside her.She looked back at him.
"Um Something I can help you with?"
"Careful, I think your eyebrow is trying to escape"
"Ha ha, very funny, your highness" She replied in an obviously sarcastic tone
"Thank you.And now your pupils are gone Are you sick or something?"
"What do you care if I´m sick?"
He was about to reply with something ingenious but he wasn´t able to and just stood there like an idiot looking at her with his mouth open.
"That´s what I thought"
She went throught the pages,pretty much devouring the book.
"You have no sense of humor"
"Oh, I do, I just don´t have any sympathy for you"
"Figures"
"That sounds horrible!" Cadance admitted, once her fianceé got done with the story "Poor Twilight"
"Well, I´ll go looking for her" Spike insisted
"NO! I´m going.I´m a trained soldier, you´re a baby"
"I´m a baby by dragon standars, in pony years, I´m practically at puberty"
"Never mind I´m going for her"
"But......."
But Shining didn´t hear him, he was alreadyin his way to the forest.
"Don´t worry, Spike, it´s fine"
"But, she promised........." He protested with tears in his eyes.
"And you say you´re not a baby"
And so, Daring Do flew off into the sunset. as she said to herself
"Another day, another adventure"
The end
"I love this story Don´t you, Spike?" She turned around to realice that her beloved dragon friend wasn´t beside her.She sighed.
Wait. What was she doing? She didn´t have any reason to stay there, in the castle, her whole life was in Ponyville! She wouldn´t take this anymore, she wasn´t a caged bird!
And so, she ran to the forest, ready to go back to her normal old life not knowing that that was the set off of her new life.
"Twilight Sparkle, dinner´s read......"
Discord was surprised to find she wasn´t in the libabry as she had spent a lot of time there lately.He started looking for her everywhere in the castle, until he heard a scream coming from the forest.
He flew to where he had heard the scream and he found her trapped, trowing laser beams at a manticore that just ignored them.
"TWILIGHT SPARKLE!"
"WHAT?! DISCORD!!"
They were about to ask each other What are you doing here? but they didn´t have time as the manticore launched to kill her and Discord atacked it just in time. And so, Discord and the manticore faught until, finally, the manticore lost and ran away. The draconequus locked eyes with the pretty unicorn sitting terrified infront of him. He was SO glad she was okay but, in the same time, he was so tired he let some breaths out and fainted.
The unicorn mare started crying "Discord?" She checked his breathing; he was still alive, just not aware. She contempled the option of running off but then noticed his lion paw had a scar. She put him on her back and ran back to the castle.
Discord woke up to find himself in his throne room lying in................the throne. But, for the first time in two years, he wasn´t alone; sitting right beside him was a beautiful unicorn mare.And she was touching his paw?
He blushed and tried to get up but his everything hurt "Ugh"
She smiled at him "Good morning, sleeping beauty"
His blush increased " W-what happened?"
"You passed out after you defeated the manticore" She pointed at his lion paw and he noticed the scar in it; she, then, levitated a wet cloth and started desinfecting it.
"AUGH!"
"Does it still hurt?"
"Yeah....I wonder whose faul that was"
"HEY! I didn´t know I was gonna run into a manticore!"
"But why were there in the first place?!"
"BECAUSE I DON´T WANT TO BE HERE WITH YOU THAT´S WHY!!"
They suddenly found themselves in a horrible silence Twilight sighed
"I´m sorry I................"
"DON´T!! I completely understand NOONE WOULD WANT TO BE WITH A MONSTER LIKE ME!!"
"You´re not a monster"
"Oh, come on, yes I am.I´m HORRIBLE!!"
"No, you´re not.If you were, you wouldn´t have saved me.A monster would´ve kill my brother but you didn´t; granted, locking him out wasn´t anything better but.......You´re a ruler.......You........Were anyway.Rulers are always either good or a disaster and, aparently, you weren´t a disaster.I mean look at princess Celestia and princess Lu...... "
"Oh, Cellie and Lulu weren´t fond of me back in the day. Heck, they didn´t even care when my kingdom was cursed"
"EXCUSE ME?! This is PRINCESS CELESTIA AND PRINCESS LUNA you´re talking about!! Show some respect!!"
"Oh sorry, mom, I suposse I should take manners class"
"You should."
There was another silence between them until the young unicorn sighed again.
"Thank you"
"Huh?"
"Thanks for saving me.It was incredibly kind of you.And I´m sorry for everything I did"
"It´s fine so am I"
"It´s fine"
"Ya know, you´re very strong for a mare.You could´ve saved yourself if you hadn´t have been so scared.Scaredy cat"
"Huh?"
"Miau" And so he started meawuing and tiggling her.
She blushed and tried hard not to laugh "D-D-DISCORD!" She couldn´t stand anymore and started laughing until.......... "augh!"
He suddenly stopped "Oh sorry"
"It´s fine, just let me..........." And she started returning the tickles. They started chasing each other throught the throne room tickling each other and laughing.Eventually, the laughter died and they sat down again she finally finished putting the bandage in his paw and he said:
"Well you look at that.You do have a sense of humor!"
"Told ya.I can´t remember last time I laughed so hard! You´re insane!"
"Why, thank you"
After a bit of silence, she stood up and said "Welp, I´ll be in the library if you need me.I won´t escape anymore, I promise" She made a cross in her heart, put her hoof over her right eye and with that she was off
Author's Note
Last Chapter was a bit too short for my taste but I think this one came out better.You have no idea how much I wanted to have Flash Sentry as Gaston but I never found a way besides, the original didn´t have a Gaston so this is more close to the book and that´s always good.It´s kinda hard to write Discord without powers but I think I did it fine Wha do ya think?
