//-------------------------------------------------------// A New Reality -by Veryzoned- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// A new World //-------------------------------------------------------// A new World I don't normally walk along side the river on the Lake shore at night alone. But summer nights this nice only come around once in a while here in Canada, where the breeze isn't to uncomfortable. So I took the opportunity just to walk in front of my house on the walk path, which was very relaxing considering at night there is not even a soul on the path. Where as in the day, it is full of life and tourists walking by my house, making noise. The breeze was just perfect against my skin as it wasn't to cold or to warm, just soothing. But it wasn't only the fact that it was just perfect a quiet tonight that I decided to take a nice long walk. I also had a weird feeling that something was going to happen that only I would ever witness in this world, and my heart is always yearning to know the unknown. Even if it can be dangerous. But I find it kinda hard to believe that I will witness something that only I will see. The busy part of the city, never sleeping as always, shining the night sky making it visible for people to make their ways from place to place, but I was here walking alone peacefully through the park beside the quiet river with the light poles hanging right above me making the path a darker orange shade, and my shadow following my every move. The moon was also lighting up the sky and river, causing a nice white glare to shine off. But sadly it was getting pretty late and I was getting tired after my tiring day. "Ugh, I'm kinda getting tired now. I've been walking in the same direction for 15 minutes now and it's almost 10:30 p.m. I better be getting back before the bugs eat me alive..." As I was turning around, I noticed my phone ringing in my pocket. But nobody was calling me and I didn't set an alarm or anything. All I saw was my lock screen with the time and my background of AppleJack, my second favorite character. I was standing beside a small artistic structure made of metal, but that couldn't be it because I would have heard about it since I live around the area and people would of complained about it. And plus, I bike past there all the time with my phone, and it never went berserk! "What the hell is going on?! I think my phone is brok... W... Wait. What is that?" Behind the metal structure, on the side facing the water there was a small blue light beaming out of the ground ever so slightly, but enough for me to see. I never saw this structure at night so maybe there are some small lights at the base of the structure to light it up? But nobody ever walks here at night, so I cautiously walked around the thin metal structure to investigate. As I went around to see where the light was coming from, my phone flew out of my hands and through the ground where the source of the light was coming from. There was now a small hole in the ground and the light shined greater that ever. "No! My phone! I have to get it back or else I'm not getting a new one. No matter how convincing I try to make this story sound to my parents! They will never believe me and they will probably think I am insane!" Even though I knew what I was doing was dangerous, I had to get my phone back! That and I was freaking curious to see what that light was. I ran towards the hole in the ground with the bright light shining through the hole into the sky, trying not to look directly at it to save my eyes from burning off. I hoped my phone would be within reach as I approached the hole. Suddenly, the light flashed a light 10 times brighter than before for not even a second, blinding me for a few seconds and causing me to trip over my self in the act. As I rubbed my eyes, blinked a few hundred times, I felt the ground collapse under me. I opened my eyes as I grabbed onto the ground above me with one arm, unable to pull me up with the ground slowly slipping as well. I focused my eyes slowly on the light under me and it was a blue and black spinning circle that looked like a portal. When the ground I was holding onto moved a whole inch all of the sudden, I snapped out of my gaze and not believing what I was seeing, remembering that I have to pull my self up. I managed to swing my other arm onto the grassy surface above as well, but the second I finally got enough grip to pull my self up, the remaining grass and dirt finally gave and slipped off, sending me falling down all the way towards the spinning light. I tried screaming although I knew it would be of no use. "Oh god, I don't want to die, please! I'm to young!" The fall was very far down. Deeper that I expected, but I knew I was going to die anyways. My life flashed before my eyes, tears dripping down my face as I was getting closer to my fate. The last words I was able to scream out before I landed was "By world." Then I hit the ground, only I didn't feel anything. As if I went through the ground. I opened my eyes, thinking that I somehow survived the fall. But the sunny bright light caused my eyes to burn a shut for a moment. I didn't know it was day time already as when I was falling it was almost mid-night. Was I knocked out for the whole night? I rubbed my eyes for a few seconds not noticing yet that I wasn't a human anymore, but a pony. "Ughhhh. What happened? W...Where am I?" ,I asked my self while slowly opening my eyes to a new world right in front of me.
