Pack up
It was a quiet summer day in Ponyville, but one rainbow haired teen was not enjoying it so much. She was bored, really bored. Rainbow was usually out running, or competing, or hanging with friends. Twilight, Rarity, and Fluttershy were out of town for the next few days, so that left Applejack and PinkiePie. She knew that Applejack was probably busy on the farm so she decided to go see Pinkie. She hopped on her bike and headed over to Sugarcube corner. When she arrived, Pinkie was bouncing up and down outside the building.
"Um, hiya Pinks, whats goin' on? Rainbow asked with a confused look.
"Oh...I just kinda figured that you were bored, and you knew that half our friends were out of town and that I wasn't busy so you came her but I really don't have anything to do, or do I? No, I don't, so lets go to Applejack's!" the pink haired girl shouted gasping for air when she finished.
"Oh...k...then, um h-hop on...I guess," Rainbow said scratching her head and still trying to comprehend what was just said.
Pinke picked up a duffel bag, threw it over her shoulders and got on the rear seat of the bike. They pulled off just as Pinkies tightened her grip around the thinner girls waist. Rainbow was going somewhat faster than usual. She felt a pull in her chest that wanted to get to Green Apple Acres as fast as possible, but she had no idea why. She began to think of the blonde girl who worked on the farm all her life, how that made her perfect in every way. 'She has the perfect body, with curves in all the right places and that cute county acc--wait...did I just...no I'm not like that heheh...no...'
When she finally snapped out of thought, she realized she was at entrance to the orchard. She slowed down and followed the dirt road that lead to the house that the Apple family lived in.
She and Pinkie hopped off the bike and headed up the steps to the porch. She casually knocked on the screen door 3 times.

No one answered after a minute or two, so she decided to try again. As soon as her knuckles we about to come in contact with the wooden frame, it swung open revealing a tall blonde girl standing there. She had removed her plaid red shirt and only have on a white tee-shirt and jeans that fit her just right. She was glistening with sweat a breathing hard, which made made her chest ride and fall noticeably. Rainbow couldn't help but stare, no words coming out her open mouth.
"Somethin' ah can help ya'll with?" Applejack asked with one eyebrow raised.
"Well, Rainbow was bored, I was bored, Gummy was bored, so we came to see if you had something to do!" Pinkie explained.
"Yeah...that..." Rainbow replied finally looking the farm girl in the eye.
Eyeing Rainbow suspiciously, Applejack said,"Well me and Big mac were just finishin' up some chores so we can go an a little road trip to sell some apples. But ah guess if you guys wanna tag along, that might help with your boredom. And maybe ya'll could help us while were out there...?"
Before Rainbow could stop herself she shouted, "YES, WE WOULD LOVE TO!!" then quickly covered her mouth, hoping her hand would cover up her blush as well.
"Well now sugarcube, if it's that important to ya," Applejack said with a chuckle,"we'll be down in a jiffy, so wait here"
She and Pinkie took a seat on the couch and watched as Applejack skipped up the stairs, disappearing around the corner. PInkie pulled out her phone and began playing a game that made her bounce around like crazy. 'Why did I have to go and blurt out like that...whats the matter with you Rainbow, get it together. Gee brain, thanks a lot for making me look like a fool...what does it matter anyway, I guess i wanted to look cool in front of her, but why? Rainbow thought to herself. The sound of heavy footsteps brought her back down to Earth. Big Mac was carrying a big brown bag on his right shoulder, and a smaller one with handles in her left.
"So, I hear that you two wanna tag along with us huh?" He asked without even looking there way.
"Uh, yeah, if thats alright with you of corse...?" Rainbow said nervously.
"Yeah, but ya better be helpin' us out and not just standing around," he said in a serious voice.
"Of corse we'll be helping Big Mac, we love to help, and clean, and watch, well in this case not watch, and play and sing and dan--"
"Ah think he gets it Pinkie," Applejack said following right behind her older brother,"but lets load up the car so we can get goin'!"
With that, the four of them headed to the truck. Luckily it was a big truck and had five seats, so Rainbow and Pinkie we in the back, Big Mac was driving, and Applejack was in the passenger seat. They pulled off and were on the road in no time. At first there was an unsettling silence, but Applejack turned on the radio and began singing along to a song Rainbow had never heard before. Pinkie joined in after the second verse, and so did Big Mac. Rainbow just stared at the flat fields they were passing by. They told jokes, sang played eye spy, (which didn't work so well since they were in a car) and slept for the hour and a half car ride.
FInally they pulled up to their destination, which was Appaloosa. Big Mac and Applejack immediately began setting up their stand. A line was already starting to form when Applejack yelled out the first time that they were selling apple treats. Pinkie helped by bringing in customers, and Rainbow dash helped with the money.
At times, Rainbow would just stare at Applejack trying to figure out what was so...so...attractive about her. She always came to the sam conclusion: Everything. It took her a while, but she realized that she was into Applejack, she just had to admit it to herself.

Business was going pretty good, Applejack told Big Mac to take her place while she went to go get another barrel of cider from the truck. Rainbow was talking to a customer when she saw a man on a bike going way to fast for this crowded area. SHe began to worry, which was unusual to her, but she had a really bad feeling. Then, she heard it, one of the scariest things she'd ever heard: a scream. But not just any scream, the scream of someone caught off guard, and was in pain. She looked over to where the scream came from, and saw Applejack lying on the ground. Rainbow was over Applejack in a flash.
"Whats wrong, what happened, are you ok?!" Rainbow asked just as Big Mac and Pinkie were approaching.
