//-------------------------------------------------------// Equestrian Front: Third War -by PixLki11er- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Price of a Mile //-------------------------------------------------------// The Price of a Mile The Crystal Empire was busy, the zombie outbreak that occurred had been hard to get rid of. Princess Cadance looked over the balcony of her castle and saw what seemed to be a large snowstorm blowing its way towards the Crystal Empire. She quickly went to the throne room where Shining Armor was. "Warn the Empire that there is a snowstorm coming!" Cadance said. Shining Armor just ran outside and gave his soldiers an order. Soon, word spread that a snowstorm was coming, they were wrong. Hours after waiting, snow didn't come. "False alarm!" Shining Armor shouted. Then, thundering sounds were heard in the east. Then, whistles were heard followed by a large explosion. About one kilometer from the Crystal Empire, 75mm Haubitze light cannons were firing volley after volley of shells. Panzers were lining up for a charge. On all sides, Haubitz light cannons were firing onto the beautiful city. Ju 87 Stuka dive bombers strafed and dropped their deadly payload. After the final volley of the Haubitze, the Panzers charged at the city blazing away quickly collapsing buildings. A bubble soon surrounded it blocking out the shells, the Panzers just simply charged through with Panzergrenadiers closely behind. The Crystal Army quickly formed at the edge of the city with weapons in hoof, they saw lines of Panzers stopped and in front were infantry who quickly lay down a hail of bullets that tore them apart. Soon, Panzer IV's rumbled through the city going through anything in its way. The Panzers ran over anything in their path shrugging off physical attacks. A unicorn threw a magical bolt at a Panzer I and destroyed the turret, but not the hull. With that, the remaining crew members got out and joined the infantry charge. Panzer III's swept through the city clearing out buildings of soldiers or civilians. Buildings toppled down, the bubble shield was up, but with no use, aircraft went inside and strafed the palace whilst dropping their deadly payload. An hour after the battle started, shots were heard. For the Wehrmacht, they only suffered from a few wounded soldiers and 10 destroyed Panzer I's and 156 more were damaged. The Wehrmacht quickly surrounded the palace, blazed their guns and the bubble shield shattered. Artillery became concentrated on it, making it collapse and buried anything inside it. Army Group A quickly took positions east of the city hiding around in the rubble and buildings. Army Group B took positions in the southeast and Army Group C took the eastern outskirts where trenches were dug in. MG nests were set up, hundreds of rifle men and assault men were lined up with the artillery regiments behind them. Soon, the landscape was torn apart from the trenches and fortifications. 2nd Royal Guards Division 5 miles southeast of the Crystal Empire Col. Sieger was promoted and reassigned to the 2nd Royal Guards Division whose commanding officer was killed in the battle against the griffons and Sieger would be his successor. Sieger's scouts had spotted an unknown enemy army that quickly captured the Crystal Empire. He sent a few letters to commanders and their divisions to have them for reinforcements because his scouts saw about three separate armies working together to take down the mighty Crystal Army. "Move out!" Sieger ordered. Battle of the Crystal Empire The 2nd Royal Guards Division quickly packed up and started marching 5 miles towards the Crystal Empire. One mile away, they saw that the Crystal Empire was in flames and miles of fortifications were in their path. They marched forward and forward. Soon, an echo of machine guns were heard in the night and the soldiers fell. Mortars rained down on them wearing down the Royal Guards. The battle carried on and on and it was dawn soon. The once green fields were scarred by the mortars and light artillery. From a rough 28,000 strong were down to 14,000. Their forces had been worn down to a half. More Royal Guards were on the way with a total of 2.8 million soldiers coming to help. What have I done? Sieger thought to himself. Reinforcements came with 2 million Royal Guards on the way. They marched towards the trenches where thousands of machine guns rained down on them. Mortars rained down and the Haubitze 75mm artillery opened fire unleashing a deadly volley. Thousands of soldiers died in the mud where they would be buried. The Wehrmacht opened fire on the army in despair. The first line of defense had crumbled and fell back to the second line taking their machine guns with them. The Royal Guards were stuck in the mud of the trenches with no way out. Then, they looked up and saw the Wehrmacht assault troops upon them in the trenches. The Assault squads began reestablishing the machine guns on the first line. The Royal Guards fell back to their original positions. Thousands of the Royal Guards marched towards the trenches again. They were a long way from home and many of the ponies who assaulted the lines paid the price in blood. The Royal Guards assaulted the trench again to be under fire from machine guns. One pony got torn to bits in an instant . The first line of machine guns were overwhelmed and the Germans retreated to the second line. The Royal Guards became under fire from mortars and light artillery. The Royal Army were pushing them back slightly. The battle raged on as the sun set. Thousands of machine guns were firing nonstop all night with the ponies being under fire. They assaulted the second line and more casualties staggered as the machine guns were accompanied by rifles and shotguns. A pony had a few buckshots embedded in his face shattering his skull. The Royal Guards continued on, being under fire. Some made it to the trenches and inflicted some serious casualties before dying from reinforcements. The Royal Guards brought their own artillery being a ballista with explosive arrows. A few regiments had been created with this weapon. The Royal Artillery Division saw the Crystal Empire in flames and miles of fortifications and trenches that scarred the one beautiful landscape. They rolled up in position and fired. At the trenches, artillery was raining down on both the Royal Guards and the Germans. One impaled a pony before obliterating a Wehrmacht soldier. With this, the Germans retreated to have the ponies under fire from their own artillery. They soon came under fire from German biplanes and their dual machine guns. These were the improved versions inspired from the British Fairey Swordfish. The German HE11M2's rained a hail of bullets on the ballistae tearing them to shreds. On the ground, the Germans were taking heavy casualties taking down the Royal Army with them. In the air, the Royal Equestrian Air Force had battle zeppelins similar to those of the German zeppelins. Both were meeting each other in the skies and opened fire. The German Zeppelins had Flak 41 88mm guns mounted that penetrated the 100mm armor of the Equestrian Zeppelins. The German also had some Katyusha rockets borrowed from the Soviets. The rockets set the Royal Zeppelins in flames by hitting the engines that went on fire easily. The Flak 41's penetrated the armor and exploded inside the Royal Zeppelins causing internal fires and explosions. 8 Royal Mark 1 Zeppelins and 3 German Mark 2 Z 1's. The Z 1 zeppelins were the same from World War 1 with improved armor and armament. The guns aimed for the gasbags on the top part of the Royal Airships. An 88mm shell penetrated the 100mm armor from 2,000 meters and exploded a gasbag setting the ship aflame yet it still flew. The Royal Mark 1's had magical Anti Gravity generators that were positioned in front of the engines and gave a faint glow. The German Z 1 Mark 2's were naval zeppelins. These were decommissioned during World War 1 and were improved just like the older units and equipment. The Z 1's dropped their 4,000 lbs. payload of firebombs and set the ground below aflame cutting off the Royal Guards. The three Z '1's aimed for the Anti Grav. generators and one by one, each Mark 1 Zeppelin, fell in flames. AA and machine gun fire filled the air, as well as the ground. On the ground, artillery fired on the charging Royal Guards who were pushing back the Germans at a heavy cost. Machine guns sprayed endlessly and ponies were literally torn apart despite the armor. The Germans were pushed back 5 miles and the Crystal City was within reach. Panzer II J's and Panzer I's fired their machine guns killing more of the ponies. Snipers hidden in the burning buildings helped with the casualties as thousands of ponies were dying. A zeppelin and crushed a lot of them when it fell from the sky. The Mark 1 Zeppelin erupted in a large explosion engulfing many ponies burning them alive and spread the fire to their comrades. The Germans were soon pushed back even more and the battle escalated into the city. The Germans fought bitterly as the Royal Guards captured the city inflicting a few casualties on the Germans while taking heavy casualties from them. In the air, a few more Mark 1's fell below into the Crystal Empire crushing buildings and rerouting the Royal Guards towards Army Group A in the east and Army Group B in the south. Army Group C had taken a heavy loss in trench warfare. 1 million soldiers reduced to 600,000. The Royal Guards suffered  900,000 casualties in total. The Germans and their improved Z 1's were shrugging off the 76mm cannons mounted on the Equestrian Mark 1's. Some shells penetrated but didn't do much damage. 3 Mark 1's were up against the 3 Z 1's. Katuyusha rockets were launched on the Equestrian Mark 1's chipping off large pieces of the armor leaving holes in the armor in which the crew of the Z'1 could see inside. The 20mm Flak aimed for it and sent their HE shells into the hole which hit the nearby ammunition of the cannons setting an explosion that swallowed the airship sending pieces of shrapnel and body parts in the air which rained down below. On the city below, the shrapnel and body parts rained from the sky. The ponies were demoralized and were falling back. They had pushed back the Germans 10 miles already and were already giving it up. Most of the Royal Guards put up a fight before falling back causing more casualties before getting killed. In a few minutes the Royal Guards retreated back into the frozen ice caps outside the Crystal Empire and set up camp while freezing away. The remaining Mark 1 Zeppelins which three remained and one was damaged beyond repair while the other 2 had their gas containers for the engines on fire which over heated the engine. The three crashed on top of the camp resulting an extreme explosion that was heard, felt and seen from the Crystal Empire. The ammunition that didn't blow were sent flying and hit the survivors killing them. The Royal Guards were now at 200,000 strong including the nearly wiped out 3rd Artillery Regiment. They retreated back south towards Canterlot where they would resupply. Canterlot Princess Celestia saw the her Royal Army beaten and battered. They collapsed upon arrival and all were taken to infirmaries. Most had received shell shock from the 5 day battle. A lot could happen in the blink of an eye. Soon, generals were appointed to lead the two main armies. The Air Force and the Army itself. The ponies began mass producing weapons of their own but weren't matched with the weaponry humans had, the ponies only had enough resources for repeater rifles which had a 5.5mm round. The Zeppelins were being improved as well as the Allied/Axis armies were improving themselves. The repeaters sported a 15 round clip. The Mark II Zeppelins were put into production with 300mm armor and 80mm cannons accompanied by better engines and shielded Anti Grav. generators. Allied/Axis The Allied/Axis took their World War 1 equipment and improved it with modern features making it cheaper to produce. The 3 decommissioned Z 1's were brought into the factories to be redesigned, reequipped, and repaired. More were being made with jet engines to and jet planes were being produced itself. Better rifles with even better rounds, 25mm Anti Tank Rifles and Anti Materiel Rifles were being made into devastating sniper rifles, few were made into machine guns and was improved with new recoiling barrels so the rifle itself doesn't harm the user. The AMR machine guns sported a 30 round magazine, it wasn't as fast as a normal machine gun, but it fired about 90 rounds per minute. Super Tanks were also being produced in a decent amount. The resources in Equestria helped the Allied/Axis war effort since they were similar to the resources found on Earth. Since the new vehicles were expensive, the armies took their old equipment and made modern improvements. The British TOG 2 now has 4 turrets total, two being the main 17 pdr. or 76.2mm guns and the other two being 40 mm dual barrel Bofors. The hull also included one AMR machine gun and one flamethrower creating the new and improvised TOG III. The US M3 90mm guns were replaceing the Flak 41 88mm guns that would be used for lighter Zeppelins like the LZ I's. The 150mm howitzers were also mounted to do more damage to the hull. The Allied/Axis factories were producing more and more doomsday weapons that was hard to count. Many of them would succeed in the battle field against the Royal Army. //-------------------------------------------------------// Battle for Manehattan //-------------------------------------------------------// Battle for Manehattan A wolf pack roamed the East Coast of Equestria targeting Equestrian warships attempting to give artillery support to the army. They had sunk 50 Equestrian warships total. Few naval teleporters were ready so few ships could pass through. The Imperial Navy and the Kriegsmarine developed these and sent some to the US, Britain, France and the USSR. The wolf pack watched the 22nd Fleet consisting of HMES Ponyville, HMES Canterlot, HMES Harmony, HMES Cloudsdale and 8 battleships. The wolf pack called for the 5th Fleet of the Imperial Navy consisting of Mogami class heavy cruisers and Fuso class battleships. The Imperial Navy's captain received a call. He heard the radio transmission and set course for the wolf pack's location. "Ve have sighted an enemy fleet! We need you to engage them as we don't have enough torpedoes to sink 8 battleships and a handful of heavy cruisers." 22nd Equestrian Fleet The Fleet was just anchored at Manehattan Harbor and were soon set upon German recon planes who dropped their torpedoes and 250 kg. firebombs on the wooden ships setting them aflame. The flames quickly were spread from ship to ship. Soon, a large fleet of Zeppelins approached Manehattan consisting of Z 1's and LZ I's. Equestrian Mark 1 and Mark 2 Zeppelins of the Equestrian Air Force (EAF) took off quickly but the long range howitzers of the Z 1's obliterated a few Zeppelins where its HEAT shell tore a large hole on the gun batteries engulfing the batteries in flames rendering their weapons useless. More shots came from the 150mm gun batteries of the Z 1 zeppelins. It hit the EAF Cloudsdale's magazine creating a large explosion that split the zeppelin in half with some of its ammunition thrown in the air hitting other EAF Zeppelins. Wilhelm was a new pilot in an HE 11C biplane. He had his ammunition at the ready and he targeted view ports of the gun batteries to kill his targets. His plane has an AMR machine gun and a standard MG42. He had AMR Incendiary ammunition and Mauser 7.7 FMJ ammunition. He loaded the AMR Incendiary into his AMR and fired at the gun battery windows. The window shattered as the bullet went through and upon hitting the wooden floor, it ignited into a small flame that quickly burned the battery with few ammunition exploding creating a hole in the floor. Wilhelm steered up into sky and dove down towards the roof of the EAF Ponyville and fired a few shots at the roof igniting the gasbags lifting it. Soon, EAF Ponyville was on fire and it quickly melted the framework causing the armor to collapse on itself. The Zeppelin went down in flames starting an inferno in the city. LZ I's fired the Flak 41 88mm guns towards the windows and view ports of the EAF Harmony decapitating the commanding officers completely which should disorganize and demoralize the crew. Wilhelm had 2 250 kg firebombs mounted on the wings and were set on 5 second delays. He dropped on bomb in the on the engines of EAF Solar in which the bomb lodged itself into the engines. 5 seconds after it dropped, it erupted in flames melting down the engine which slowly stopped the Solar. Wilhelm shot at the rudders and fins to make it into a fixed position before letting the Z 1 shoot the bridge where the captain died from a 150mm shell. Wilhelm loaded Standard AMR Armor Piercing rounds into the AMR MG and fired which popped open the shield revealing a module with a large hole going right through. He repeated this on 2 more causing one Zeppelin to lose altitude and fall down on top of the city factories setting the industrial area ablaze. Factories exploded from the ammunition spilling from its side and the crew were being thrown around causing misfires from the massive gun batteries hitting a storage depot for resource storage. The mobile guns mounted on the left row rolled to the right and fired at the internal walls of the zeppelin hitting the ammunition which caused more misfires destroying the Zeppelin itself. The EAF Zeppelins tried to shoot down the HE 11 biplanes but couldn't due to their fast agility, then a new kind came in with one pair of wings that were faster than the others. It was the Messerschmitt 262 fighter planes fitted with 2 Mark II AMR MG sporting a 100 round autoloading magazine and 20mm autocannons. The ME 262 strafed the gun batteries blowing the guns up one by one until the EAF fell. While the Z 1's were fighting alongside the LZ I's they dropped their deadly payload onto the city collapsing many of the towering skyscrapers and leveling almost a quarter of the city. Below, the 4 Landkreuzer Ratte tanks rolls over the city killing many ponies by simply driving and its mounted Flak 36 and 41 88mm provided an excellent air defense. The Rattes shot down 2 EAF Zeppelins by targeting the Anti Grav generators at the back. The massive guns fired leaving eight craters in the city. The Flak guns continued to fire. Wilhelm saw that in the east, a fleet of more EAF airships arrived. He stared at them for a few seconds and then saw a nuclear explosion on one of them engulfing the others in flames. Below, flaming parts and mechanisms fell. He knew that was the work of either the V1 Flying Bomb. Down below, he saw German soldiers ready to attack the city. German 10th Army The Wehrmacht was ready to move in on Manehattan, Hans walked over to Shultz who was reading a letter from one of his family members. Hans saw Shultz staring at the letter as if he was looking through it. He wasn't reading, he just stared at the letter in his hands with tears filling his eyes. Hans took a seat next to Shultz who still stared at the letter. Shultz began reading the letter quietly to Hans. Dear Schultz, I do not know where my body is, but my heart and soul is with you. The gift within this letter is something for you to remember me by. When this is over, please tell our Wilhelm, Franz, and the rest of our friends. I know you will not fail me, you never do. Just follow the advice in this letter. You keep my bayonet on my rifle, to remember that part of me fights with you, you wear my helmet with pride, to remember that I'm watching over you and you hold this letter in my pocket, to remember me and my last words. Your brother, Walter Hans nodded at his friend who was tearing from the letter. Schultz placed the letter in his pocket and took out a bayonet. It was cleaned, sharpened and properly maintained. Schultz showed Hans on what looked like Walter engraved in the blade. Schultz placed it on his rifle and put on his brother's helmet. Hans looked at this and nodded in approval, he patted his friend in the back. "Don't fail your brother," was all Hans could say to Schultz. The rest of the division prepared to move out. Schultz aimed his Kar98K at the ponies up ahead in the city, he positioned himself near Franz. He looked over to his left and saw other German soldiers, Maus tanks were rolling up for them to take cover behind. Then, He 111 bombers started the bombing operation. The charge began, Panzer IV tanks charged forward guns blazing. Schultz and his platoon followed the tank clearing out any left over resistance. The Royal Guards charged back and a few managed to start hand to hand combat within the platoon. Schultz saw Franz being pinned down by a guard and he charged at him with his bayonet pointed at his throat. The bayonet went through the neck and Schultz slit it open to see the tongue fall out along with the throat. In his rage, Schultz stabbed its head a few times until a hole the size of hits fist was seen. The Panzers and Maus tanks led the charge vaporizing the Royal Guards. "Ready bayonets!" Schultz shouted. "Yes,  Feldwebel Wachtmeister (Field Guide Watch Master)!" one of his soldiers called out. The platoon attached their bayonets and charged towards the Royal Guards with the bayonets being aimed at their throats. The other platoons saw this and did the same. Soon, a wave of soldiers charging with bayonets cut down the ponies quickly. Schultz slit throat after throat killing pony after pony regardless of civilian or military, he hated Equestria, it had killed his brother. He spilled the guts of the Royal Guards sparking fanatical morale among the other soldiers. They cheered as they killed more ponies. He engaged the ponies in melee combat becoming a deadly weapon himself through his rage. He head-butted a unicorn breaking off the horn before finishing him off with a shot to the head. Schultz stuffed a Steilhandgrante in another pony's mouth and kicked him towards the incoming Royal Guards who was showered in shrapnel and guts. In the sky, Wilhelm still fought for control of the air along with the Luftwaffe, German biplanes and jet fighters along with the zeppelins fought the EAF zeppelins dropping them on top of the city. Wilhelm strafed the ground cutting some ponies in half with the massive 25mm bullets. Wilhelm, saw Schultz and his platoon fighting near the docks. Wilhelm focused back onto getting the EAF out of the sky and began shooting the EAF zeppelins. Many of the EAF units had some holes in their armor from the concentrated firepower making it easier to destroy. Wilhelm concentrated machinegun fire with incendiary bullets burning whatever they hit. One of the bullets hit a pony in the stomach unleashing the digestive acids on his body. He was burned from the inside, tears forming from the pain. Minutes later, he had trouble breathing as the acids touched his lungs, eating it away along with his flesh. Soon, a cavity formed in his chest where his intestines spilled out on the floor, dying away. Schultz fought ferociously spilling guts on the streets and burning down buildings with petrol bombs. His men shot everypony in sight regardless of whatever role they played whether civilian or military, they didn't care. Schultz wanted to make his brother proud, tears fell down on his face as he fought, more and more ponies died from him. Within hours, the dock was secured providing safe access for the navies of the Allied/Axis. He looked up in the sky and smiled with tears running down his face. He went to the airport to see Wilhelm and read him the letter. Wilhelm's eyes watered from tears along with Franz's who overheard him. Franz, Wilhelm, Schultz and Walter knew each other since they were children, they got the same careers in the same workplace together and fought together. This brought sadness into the group, Wilhelm took out a bullet that was given to him from Walter and handed it to Schultz. Franz made a cross decorated with empty cartridges strung together. Schultz, Wilhelm, Franz and three men from Schultz's platoon did the 21 gun salute to honor Walter. Together, they will avenge Walter's death. //-------------------------------------------------------// Assault on Appaloosa //-------------------------------------------------------// Assault on Appaloosa The British 32nd Army is camped in the eastern side of Appaloosa, US 1st Army is based in the north and the Free French Legions were marching towards them from the south. British had 300,000 soldiers, US having 250,000 and the French having 400,000. The Royal Guards had 500,000 with repeater rifles and a few muskets along with pegasi for air superiority. A Russian Mobile AA  Battalion was coming to help along with the German Luftwaffe. Among them were Boris, Wilhelm, Willis, Tommy and Leduc. They were soon going to meet on the battlefield. The American M18 Hellcats took positions near the railway behind rocks and shrubs. The British Cromwells did the same in the east. The French would attack from the south. On one of the rocks in the north, one of the Hellcats took aim at an incoming train full of Royal Guards and opened fire along with his comrades. The Cromwells rushed in from the east breaking through the defensive lines of the thin line of the 6th Royal Regiment. The FFL were sneaking through the apple orchard from the south. Soviet Katyusha Artillery and ZSU 37's were soon going to make it. Tommy was one of the soldiers in the British 32nd Army, he was an infantryman and charged through the town wiping out the resistance. The Cromwell's hull mounted flamethrowers quickly burned the town creating a large plume of smoke. Willis and his platoon joined in by giving sniper support from the rocks. Leduc infiltrated the apple orchard clearing out the farm. Little did they know, they sprung a trap. Pegasi suddenly swarmed all over the soldiers who opened fire with sub machine guns and rifles tearing them apart. Suddenly, black flak clouds covered the sky in a mixture of gray and red mist. On the horizon, Boris and his ZSU 37 crew fired at the swarms of Pegasi who died quickly from the flak. 1st Royal Army General Steelhoof and his men were being sent to Appaloosa to defend it from three attackers. His men were 600,000 strong along with some ballistae and other siege machines to support. The invaders had destroyed the railway, so he couldn't go on train, they had to march on hoof. They marched for days until they reached Appaloosa, there were no signs of the enemy. Flames were still burning, dead bodies lay around, and blood painted the walls of the buildings. They walked in the middle of the town setting up camp when two of his men suddenly fell. They were being watched by the Russian elite sniper team. One by one, more of his men fell from the hidden enemy. Explosions began to appear and he felt a surge of pain in his neck. He was shot,  his neck spurting blood while his eyes grew heavy. He closed his eyes to sleep and never awake again. Allied/Axis The Russians brought their AA guns and infantry. Snipers hid among the rocks and bushes and picked off the Royal Guards on by one. They shot more until they all went inside the buildings in which the tanks shot at with their shells penetrating through the walls and explode inside sending fragments of metal into the Royal Guards cutting them to pieces. The German Luftwaffe started bombing the town, pegasi aerial infantry tried to shoot down the JU 87 Stukas but tail gunners chopped them up by returning fire. ZSU 37mm guns began thundering from the ground filling the air with flak clouds. US and British Commonwealth Forces stormed through the city shooting anypony on sight. Tommy's regiment was given the order to go to the city and kill all the ponies on sight. The Americans will do the same. He clutched his Lee Enfield and prepared a few Steilhandgrantes he had borrowed from Wilhelm, he threw a few of them through the windows and out came body parts of a pony. Royal Guards suddenly rushed out and fought the his regiment. He fired quickly taking down the incoming guards. MacGregor fired his Thompson at the Royal Guards. The regiment fitted their bayonets as hand to hand combat was just moments away, the British 7th Regiment was surrounded near the train platforms. Tommy and MacGregor stood next to each other stabbing Royal Guards in the throat before finishing them off with a bullet to the head. A loud explosion was then heard and in came an improved TOG 3 with four turrets instead of one. The trench crosser rumbled through buildings burning Royal Guards alive with its hull mounted flamethrower. The Royal Guards ran away in fear. The British cheered and opened fire on the retreating guards. A couple bullets found their target and killed a few.  The pegasi aerial infantry was still in the air, soldiers from the ground opened fire on them plucking them out from the sky. US infantry encircled the town trapping the remaining Royal Guards, the French stalked the apple orchards and killed any Royal Guards trying to escape. British Commonwealth troops began clearing the town of the 500,000 remaining Royal Guards. The remaining Royal Guards made one last desperate push against the British Army. All of the guards lined up ready to charge at them. British troops aimed their guns and fired while the Royal Guards charged. MacGregor blazed away with his Thompson while Tommy was setting up a Browning 30. caliber. MacGregor and Frank defended Tommy while he set up the 30. cal on a tripod. It was minutes until it was set up and Tommy fired away sending bullets that tore through the flesh of their enemies, blood spurting on him as he fired. MacGregor threw his Thompson at the Guards as it had run out of ammo and took out his Webley revolver. He shot the Guards with his revolver whose bullets snapped the bones of their enemies and spilled their blood. Frank tore the Royal Guards with his trench gun. Their regiment was quickly being overwhelmed. Only 2 platoons were left, most already had their bayonets mounted on their rifles and quickly fought in in melee combat. The US army began pushing their way into the town where the British were taking casualties. They were on their way to support and saw the British struggling against the ponies, they unleashed a large hail of bullets onto the ponies tearing them apart, HE shells were fired and vaporized the Royal Guards and cutting up nearby guards stringing the streets with intestines and guts. Russian snipers fired upon the Guards' commanding officers leading them to disorganize the army making it easier on the British.  Other nations had joined the fight against the ponies, Finland, India, China, and Spain had joined the Allied/Axis against their struggle bringing their own teleporters and prototype equipment. Few of their troops already were accompanying the Allied/Axis assault on Appaloosa. Finnish troops accompanied Boris' 34th Guards Regiment. They had their own sniper teams and began picking off the Royal Guards one by one. The battle continued, Tommy firing the 30. cal and Willis shooting his M1D Garand at the heads of ponies accompanied by Sherman Crocodile flamethrower tanks burning through the enemy. The army soon eradicated resistance of the ponies and wiped out the entire 1st Royal Army. The shots stopped firing, Tommy and his friend looked around. Their fellow comrades died, Frank was stabbed in the chest by a spear, Ken had bled out after a blade cut through his leg, Steele was shot by a few arrows. They took out their shovels and buried their friends. Tommy searched the bodies for any letters and sure enough he found one from Steele. He didn't want to read it. He stuffed it in his pocket and continued burying their friends. MacGregor made some crosses and took off the helmets of their fallen comrades. As soon as Tommy finished burying, he placed the crosses into the dirt with the helmets attached to them. He engraved the names of the fallen soldiers on the helmets with his bayonet. The assault was over on the ground. The air was still full of pegasi aerial infantry who were under heavy fire from flak and machine gun fire. EAF airships began appearing on the horizon. British Supermarine Spitfires Mark IX's and Typhoons headed for the EAF trying to shoot them down. The Luftwaffe joined the RAF in their aerial battle. Wilhelm was in his new Me 262 and sped towards the swarm of pegasi blazing his 30mm Mark 108 cannons. Red mist formed as the cannons hit their targets. He sped past the pegasi to catch up with the RAF who already engaged the EAF airships. EAF Mark II airships were spotted with new gun batteries had longer barrels that shot accurately, but used a smaller shell than most of the normal ones. Wilhelm aimed for the gun barrels as one of the shells from his 30mm cannons chipped off a barrel from a battery which fired and the gun exploded itself. The RAF engaged the zeppelins under heavy fire from the light 15mm AA guns made by Equestria's factories. The shells didn't explode upon impact making no flak clouds, they were meant to penetrate through the frame of the planes. Typhoons unleashed volleys of rockets on the engines of the Mark II zeppelin with EAF Celestia engraved on it, setting them aflame and destroying a Anti Grav. generator making it lose altitude and colliding on top of another airship below it. The EAF Celestia was commanded by Celestia's elite guards, the airship lost altitude and fell right on top of the EAF Wonderbolts. One more of the Anti Grav. generators were destroyed and soon, the airship fell on the EAF Wonderbolts crushing the gasbags and letting lose the hydrogen gases in the air where bullets flew. One bullet ignited the spreading gases starting a flame swallowing the EAF Celestia. The EAF Wonderbolts had fire on the ceiling of the ship where pieces of wood began to fall. The wood had fire still burning and more pieces fell, a few planks fell down and started an enormous fire that began in the middle of the engine room. The engine room had been hit by the 30mm cannons whose shells penetrated through the thinly armored ceiling and fumes started to leak. The fires ignited the fumes starting a large fire in the EAF Celestia. Wilhelm strafed gun positions on the airships to prevent intense AA fire. He flew towards an airship that fell on top of another and saw an explosion occur in the rear with smaller explosions erupting near the gun deck. The ship under it had its roof cave in and erupted into a devastating explosion that produced so much smoke that hindered the pilot's visibility as well as the other airships. Pieces of the airships flew through the air and hit the ground below. Wilhelm had an strafed the airships at their rear trying to damage the engines. One of them had a large on giving it more speed than the others, he strafed this until the large engines began sputtering and sparking. He unleashed all his rockets into it that exploded starting a fire on the engines. The EAF Endurance was the flagship of the EAF this had 600mm hull armor and 90mm Magic guns that didn't need ammo but magic to power them. Its large gun deck gave it firepower other airships couldn't. The large engines gave it more speed. Wilhelm strafed the engines until they exploded and took out most of the rear on the airship, the engine room exploded along with it igniting the gun deck of explosions as the gun batteries exploded with blue flames. As soon as the explosions stopped, a large explosion took out the whole top part of the zeppelin, the hydrogen gas bags had been ignited on the large ship. Wilhelm heard cheers on the radio channel. They headed back to the airfield that was established near Appaloosa. The assault was a success. //-------------------------------------------------------// Preparations //-------------------------------------------------------// Preparations Allied/Axis are researching new weapons in their home nations to keep it in secret. Super weapons like the T95 and the Maus tank are being produced slowly and placed in the reserves for use. The current tanks are being refitted with new guns. Shermans with their short barreled 75mm were replaced with the more powerful 105mm for Anti Personnel along with the 76mm AT gun for fixed positions. Sturmtigers were created to create short range, yet devastating artillery. Flamethrower tanks started production in the factories. Planes were produced, armaments began fitting. In over two weeks, 1,000 SturmTigers, 1,500 Flamethrower tanks and a large amount of T-34-85's were sent through the portal. The KV 6 was still being improved, the T34 heavy tanks began pouring through the portals. In one month, the Allied/Axis had reinforcements of 1.5 million soldiers, 500,000 tanks, 200,000 artillery pieces and 100,000 new aircraft. The preparations were nearly complete The ponies however, were oblivious to the fact that the Allied/Axis would invade. The armies of the Allied/Axis outclassed the Royal Guards who tend to question their orders and being ill equipped. Allied/Axis property were confiscated from the ponies as they didn't need any weaponry. Factories in Manehattan, Fillydelphia and Las Pegasus were producing their own. The Allied/Axis had something that the ponies never knew they had, deception. This would be implemented in tactics to outsmart and outmaneuver the Royal Guards. The first few army groups were ready. Army Group A had Panzer I's, Panzer II's and Panzer'III's accompanied by 10 Panzergrenadier Divisions and 3 regiments of 75mm Artillery. Army Group B had the same contents except with Panzer IV's. Army Group C had a few VK 30.01 H tanks armed with the 7,5 cm KwK. 40 L/48 gun. They would do a blitzkrieg bull horn tactic which would flank the enemy while attacking in the center with a blitzkrieg. The Crystal Empire was going to be invaded.
