Pinkie woke up this day to a cool, refreshing breeze flowing through her window and the promise of a day full of fun. She could feel it in her entire body that she would host the best party yet this very day. It made her excited. She began to shiver with this promise and hopped out of the window down to the land below, already smiling brightly and bent on searching for the perfect pony to throw a party for today.
She began hopping down the dirt road; the birds chirping and sun beaming as brightly as her wide, ear to ear smile. She stopped by an apple treats' stand run by your's truly, Applejack, (and some assistance from Applebloom). Pinkie could not help but treat her apple loving Applebutt and Blank Applebutt to some patronage and bought a nice, hot, sweet, and scrumptious apple tart.
Waving goodbye to her friends for the day, Pinkie scarfed down the tasty treat and kept on hopping down the road. She soon began to regret not buying more, and was too set on seeing the future of the day's massive promised party that she could not even bear the thought of turning back. It was too late.
The regret of not buying more soon became a regret of not eating breakfast at Sugarcube Corner, and this noticeably slowed Pinkie down for a good moment. But Pinkie smiled through and realized that she'd surely have food at this massive party. She began to laugh, almost as Rarity would at the thoughts of fulfilling a desire so rich in promise, at the certainty that not only this day promised the best party ever, but food as well. And Pinkie loved to eat.
Pinkie halted her hop's landing in midair when she caught sight of a small light pink blob under her descending hooves. She managed to step back in her landing so she could spare this plop of whatever it was and inspect it more closely. She saw that it was simply pink with a small purple orb inside of it. Pinkie rose a hoof to poke it, but it quivered and slid back a bit before stopping and becoming as motionless as it was before. Pinkie gasped and got low to the ground, crawling towards the blob, which began to zip across the dirt floor and get away from Pinkie.
Pinkie was now bent on catching this blob, and she followed it as quickly as she could. She first started at a quick hop, but as the blob began to pick up speed, so did she. She began trotting, not exactly ready for this kind of exercise. She found the determination to catch the blob even as it picked up its speed more and was moving along the ground as if it possessed no friction.
The pink pony laughed and began running at full speed towards the blob. This was now a game of tag. And she guessed, or knew full well, that she was it.
The blob cut corners and climbed up walls, jumped into carts of hay within leaps of fate, and even caught a ride upon a bird that carried it to a chimney where it slid down like a Santa Hooves of some sort and popped out of the bottom into the quiet living room in a house where two foals were playing with one another. It motioned that it was looking to see if Pinkie followed it this far, but to be safe, the blob crawled quickly through the living room and to the kitchen where the backdoor was, sliding under the door as it had no bones and a watery and gelatinous genetic make up for a weirdly blobby body.
It kept zipping in a similar fashion as it had been doing before getting to open fields and parks, where it slipped through the underground tunneling and conflicting empires of the mighty ants and the terrible termites. It seemed to end the war and bring the ants and termites together as its blobby jelly clogged up the entrance and exits, leaving the bugs stuck together with a limited supply of oxygen and air. This "game of tag" was proving itself to be quite dangerous. Maybe it should end here?
The blob got to the Everfree Forest's entry way, and it crawled under the thin barrier keeping it from letting loose deadly beasts. It began slowing down, thinking it had lost Pinkie, but the pony booped its face and sent it gurgling back a few slides. "Tag! You're it!" Pinkie exclaimed, laughing and hopping in excitement.
There was silence, and the blob did nothing but stand motionless in its place. The blue orb shined brightly and then suddenly stopped. Nothing happened for a long while after that before Pinkie decided to break the silence.
"What took you so long?" she said, smirking smugly at the blob as it continued to do nothing. "Well... uh... I gotta go! It was nice playing with you, though! Whenever you wanna continue our game, just tag me back in, okay? You know where to find me!"
Pinkie hopped past the blob and suddenly felt it smack her flank with a long, jelly tendril. It was quick and whip-like, and it made her spring up like a hair. "Eep! Blob... w-was that how you wanted to tag me back?" The pony halted and turned around with a rather unsure, but still brightly lit look on her face. She titled her head in confusion as the still blob rose its tendril again at her. "You can't tag twice! That's against the rules! Well, there are no rules in tag really. You just run, tag, run, tag! That's not a rule as much as it is just how the game works, eh..."
The blob's orb began to shape into a brain, and it released a massive and purple aura around the blob as thick and sticky as syrup. The blob became one with the aura and grew to a giant size, opening a large mouth that now made it look similar to the Smooze. Pinkie was surprised and squealed in excitement. Maybe she could stick around and play with this thing more. But what was next?
It grabbed her with a bigger tendril, much too big to simply be a tendril, it had to be a tentacle now. Wrapping its tentacle around her body and it stuck onto her like glue, tugging tightly at her thin coat of fur and pulling through it to her skin, giving her a rather uncomfortable feeling stinging through her body like pins. She yelped in pain and winced, biting her bottom lip and laughing nervously.
"Y-you like to play rough, eh?" Pinkie asked it, giving it a hoofbump to the tentacle, but her hoof was jammed stuck in it, and the jelly-like blobby substance making up its body began to crawl up her hoof and squeeze at it with tremendously painful pressure, dragging out a groan of discomfort from the pony. "You wanna wrestle? Is that what you wanna play?..." The beast before her was silent, and this left Pinkie with a feeling of pure fear and uncertainty. She gulped and began shaking in terror, until filling her mind with happy thoughts.
Think happy thoughts, Pinkamena! You'll get to see your friends today at the big party! There will be food, drinks, and fun! And friends! Don't forget friends! They'll come and be there for you!... Yeah... that's right.
Pinkie shook her head to escape from the neverending trance of circling thoughts of happiness and smiled. She reached into her mane and pulled out a boombox. "It was Treehugger's Sonic blasts that stopped a Smooze then, so it'll stop a Smooze now!" she exclaimed, clicking on the track, full of nothing but Treehugger singing in her unique fashion.
The blob began to shake as if it were in great distress, and it responded by taking the boombox and smashing it to pieces. But Pinkie simply pulled out another.
"I always make copies!" Pinkie told the blob, as it simply smashed that one as well and turned up its acidity to burn Pinkie in its grasp. Pinkie eeped once more in pain, squirming in her attempts to escape. "Wh-what do you want from me?... Do you want to play? Do you want to have fun?" Pinkie's mane began to become unkempt as she became more frantic. She turned her head to try and see if she could find something, anything, to help her escape. Anything she could pull out of her mane would be smashed, even something as strong as her boomboxes were. There was hope in this situation, and she knew it. There was no way she would have such a feeling of zeal earlier with the promise of having the greatest party ever if her life would be ending here--
"No! My life isn't ending here and you know it!" Pinkie said, looking directly at the blob's brain. "This blob isn't in control anymore, I am! Or at least... I hope I am!" The hopelessness was already finding itself in her voice.
The blob stopped lightly burning her and increased its pressure around her body where it was holding her, slowly crushing into her body and squeezing her enough to force a cracking cry out of her throat. She began leaking tears profusely and squirmed even more helplessly like a worm in the mouth of a bird, but the more she struggled, the tighter the grip became. Pinkie let out a few loud sobs and cursed the blob under her breath as she clenched her eyes shut and grit her teeth just a bit.. She began to pummel the blob's tentacle with her free hoof until it too eventually became stuck, and that was when Pinkie screamed in great distress.
"What do you want from me? Am I being punished for something?!" Pinkie cried, the tears drowning into the tentacle below her face in the jelly encasing her. "I just want to see my friends again! I... I don't need a stupid party! I'm sorry! I should've thought my day through more before I went marching onward to some party I haven't even planned!"
The blob remained silent, and this sent more uneasy queasiness and extreme fear into the helpless pink pony's being.
"Am I... Am I going to die here?"
Pinkie continued crying, opening her eyes to look helplessly to the blob. It created another tentacle which it solidified and rose to her, rubbing it across her face and lightly smacking her with it as if to mock her of her powerlessness. "No! No, no, no!" she pleaded, as the blob then slammed the solid tentacle into her face, bruising her terribly and opening a cut on the swollen cheek of hers. She yelped in pain and twitched from the shock of the hit, beginning to breathe heavily.
She coughed, blood dropping from her lip, forcing herself to spit it all out. She hated the taste, and it was even getting in the back of her nose.
The blob rose the tentacle again, causing Pinkie to gasp and plead for mercy, begging for it to stop hitting her, that she would do anything to get it to let her go. She even promised to not tell anypony. She pleaded this over and over, even apologizing for any and every wrong thing she had ever done, as if repenting to some deity. She shook her head while the blob got a firmer grip and took aim towards Pinkie's face, and at this point she was screaming.
A lizard upon the ground below saw a shadow, and the shadow spoke of untold horrors. A helpless pony being struck endlessly by an unidentifiable monster of unknown origins. It scurried away to burrow into the ground and hide from its wrath.
Twitching and falling in and out of consciousness, Pinkie could barely keep her eyes open from the beating she had taken. She was shivering and going pale from fear and all the blood she was losing, and she swore that she felt the blob had broken a few of her bones. Pain rushed through her body and she could only muster up what was left of her voice from screaming so loudly from the beating to let out a choked "Ow..." Her colors faded and her mane straightened, losing its fluffiness for its initial straight fashion. Her hope was fleeting from her, but she looked up to the light above her and tried to smile as she began hammering the simple thought that her friends would be there at any moment to save her. At least, that was what she hoped.
The blob sent waves of electricity to slightly shock Pinkie and get her adrenaline pumping. It then began to swing her around in the air like a roller coaster, spinning its body round and round and ensuring that Pinkie would be most sick at the end of this. The pony held back her vomit, despite being more nauseous now than she ever had been in her life. She closed her eyes and kept her mouth pursed shut, and when the blob noticed this, it slowed down.
Pinkie opened one eye to see what the blob was doing or planning to do, when it slammed her onto the ground unexpectedly. Pinkie flattened into the ground and felt many bones snapping during the impact. Though the jelly monster detached from her, she could not get back up, regardless of her attempts to do so. She merely kept falling down on her face.
Pinkie released a pained groaning cry and weakly turned over onto her back, wincing in great displeasure at her current torture. A massive cut was opened on her chest and blood spurt out gently, much more gently than the impact it took to make that happen in the first place. "G-good... You--...y-you put me down... N-n-now please! Please!--"
The beast rose a tentacle again. Pinkie sat up quickly, despite her obvious broken bones and massive lightning bolt of agonizing pain blasting through her body. Her held up her hoof in an attempt to stop the tentacle from descending upon her, screaming "Stop! Please!"
The blob did not listen to her, and it merely sent downwards the member it had upon her, splatting it and its titanic weight upon the bottom half of her body, forcing her to vomit blood as it had effortlessly broken her entire lower body and crushed most of her organs in that area. She could not even find it in herself to scream, as though her face showed itself to be wailing in a fit of agony, no sound escaped at all.
The pink pony's eyes widened in pure surprise as the thought began to settle in that surely she would soon die by the gel of this blobby Eldritch abomination. She would never see her friends again, and this forest would be her grave; this beast, her killer. The light shining through the trees above was blocked off as the violent winds pushed the leaved branches in the rays' path. She could no longer see the light, and she hopelessly reached for it as the blob picked her up once again and encased her with its tentacle, its acidity cranking up to hellish temperatures and dissolving her skin and muscles, legs first. Luckily at that, she could not feel it. As the gel covered her head and the burning crept up her body and began to dissolve her even more fiercely than before, she accepted her fate and let go.
Either the biggest party she'd participate is the scorched remains of her body and skeleton attending her funeral or the eternal rejoicing of the pony angels of the Rainbow and Sunshines Heavens above.
