"Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.'' ~ Robert J. Oppenheimer

The building shook, seeming as if a earthquake had recently started. People scrambled about the room, crying and consoling their children.

Several people sat at a large desk, frantically typing into their computers. They would read coordinates they had gotten in messages and would scream them out to a couple of engineers who stood next to a large terminal.

The men and women at the terminal would call out to tell a fellow engineer when to hit a switch on the desk, and looked out for incoming warheads on a small radar. The building shook harder this time, and huge chunks of concrete and steel fell to the floor. The radar hadn't been picking up any nukes so far, but they had been getting hit multiple times already.

Things like this were happening all over the world, hellfire raining down upon the earth. If you were to be in space at the very moment, you could say the Earth was becoming a miniature star. Whose fault was it that this was happening to great nations across the globe?

The nations themselves. The people had done this to themselves. It was like a mass suicide, you could say. A mass suicide that only was occurring because of foolish reasons and foolish decisions.

The sad thing was, no one could prevent it.
