Chapters Scootaloo and Dash:
“So you ran away?” said Dash with a sad look on her face. She looked up to see Scootaloo almost crying.
“My parents weren’t nice ponies and I couldn’t stand the thought of being adopted by any lame ponies.”
Dash ran over to one of the many rooms in her huge mansion and started throwing stuff out of it. Picture frames, lamps, empty chip bags, assorted bits of cloud and other random pieces of junk. Scootaloo looked up in confusion. Dash was standing over her, an empty room behind her with just a bed in it. Dash had a smug look on her face.
“How about you stay with me, or at least temporarily? I can’t have you all on your own. Do your friends know that you have no parents?” Dash said to an ashamed Scootaloo.
“No, I don’t have the courage to tell them, they’re all I have Dash; well until you came along.” Dash started blushing.
“Well you’re here now and I think we need to talk to some ponies about this. I’ll contact the school and you tell your friends, sound fair?” Scootaloo looked excitedly at her new room then went and hugged Dash, crying.so much ! Now I don’t have to sleep outside the clubhouse.” At that last remark Dash got a tear in her eye.
“Scoots, no pony should ever have to deal with that and while I’m here, don’t expect that to ever happen again. If you have any problems come straight to me, I’ll always be here for you. Now let’s go and get your stuff in here. Also the terms of you being here is that you need to learn to fly; I can’t keep carrying you like this.” Scootaloo looked embarrassed at that remark.
“Well Dash, I have no Pegasus friends so no one has ever bothered teaching me.” Rainbow Dash thought deeply for a second
“Well I guess I could have a go at it; if you let me I mean.” At that Scootaloo got the biggest smile she had ever had.
“BEST DAY EVER!!!” she said jumping about.

Rainbow Dash dove down through the clouds so fast that to watchers it was like watching a blue blur. A rainbow-trailing blue blur. There may have been a few broken speed records in there, but this is Rainbow Dash . She does this all the time. Coming to a stop mere centimeters off the ground, Dash alighted gently and dropped Scootaloo off just outside the Cutie Mark Crusaders clubhouse.
“Ok Scoots, listen, I’ll pick you up in about 10 minutes. Let me clear some stuff up then I’ll be back.” Applebloom and Sweetie Belle shot the orange Pegasus a confused look.
“What was that?” Said Applebloom, looking puzzled.
“Oh, that’s my new mum” said Scootaloo, Applebloom’s jaw dropped.
“What do you mean Scootaloo?” Scootaloo had a look of shame on her face “Well you see I…. um lied, I ran away from my parents a few months ago when I showed up in Ponyville. All those letters were forged. Rainbow Dash figured it out and questioned me about it so I told her the truth. She said that she can’t stand the thought of me on the streets so she is adopting me, at least for right now.”
Applebloom and Sweetie Bell ran up to their friend and hugged her. “Oh Scootaloo, you don’t need to hide anything from us! We’ll support you no matter what!” said Sweetie Bell
“Well thanks guys,” said Scootaloo. “Well I’d better be off. I have to go and collect my stuff to move into Rainbow’s house. So I’ll see ya later!” At that the orange Pegasus waved goodbye and collected her stuff from the bushes underneath the clubhouse. As she did, a blue blur flew past doing flips and tricks and generally showing off. Of course, it was Rainbow Dash who landed next to Scootaloo looking very proud of herself.
“How was that?” asked Rainbow. Scootaloo just looked to her in amazement.
“Wow Rainbow Dash, you have to teach me how to do that!” as Scootaloo said that Applejack came from the orchard.
“Which one of ya’ll ponies wants some apple pie?” she asked. Upon seeing every pony she looked surprised. “Oh ah’m not interrupting nothing, am ah?” Rainbow Dash looked up at Applejack.
“No, I’m just about to take Scootaloo home.” Applejack nodded, “Want a pie for the journey?” Rainbow Dash shook her head.
“No thanks, we’ll be fine.” Applejack walked past and went up to the clubhouse. Cheers from the other members of the Cutie Mark Crusaders went up as she entered. Scootaloo hopped onto Rainbow Dash’s back. “Rainbow Dash, go really fast!” Said Scootaloo, Rainbow Dash took this as a challenge.
“You got it pipsqueak!” said Dash launching herself into the air. She shot off, leaving a rainbow trail behind her.

When they got to the mansion Rainbow said “Sorry I can’t stop Scoots, you get your stuff into your room. I’m going to have to go see Twilight about some stuff ok?”
Scootaloo just nodded so Dash took off. When she arrived at the tree house she knocked crazily until Twilight opened to let her friend in. Rainbow jumped on Twilight “Twilight help me! I’ve done something bad!”
Twilight looked confused and shook her blue friend off “Rainbow calm down, What’s up?” Rainbow calmed herself down by taking deep breaths.
“Well you see I adopted Scootaloo” Twilight looked shocked, like her friend had just stabbed her.
Rainbow replied quickly, “Well I put two and two together and she has no parents, she ran away because she hated them and didn’t go into adoption because she was scared of getting lame parents so I said she could stay with me. Help me Twilight! I can’t look after a kid, I can barely look after myself!”
At that Twilight looked even more shocked, “Rainbow you are an amazing pony! It was so nice of you to take Scootaloo in. Why are you worried? You’ll be a fine parent. What is it you are specifically worried about?”
“Well you know what happened last time I tried to cook?” Twilight went into deep thought and remembered herself being sick for a week and not getting out of bed. “Ok that isn’t a problem just get food which doesn’t involve cooking. What else?”
“Well, um, Twilight, Scootaloo can’t fly. I mean I can pick her up and drop her off at school but the two problems are: number one; I’m lazy and don’t trust myself to get up at seven o clock every day and number two; what if I can't pick her up for some reason?”
Twilight giggled at her friend. “Oh Rainbow, don’t be so silly! You are the best flier in all of Ponyville! You can teach her, I’m sure of it. Your laziness isn’t an issue either - just get an alarm clock and I'm sure Scootaloo won’t mind waking you up in case you don’t get up yourself!”
“Wow Twilight that was really reassuring. Thanks. If I need anything can I pop by?” asked Rainbow Dash, who looked a lot more composed now.
“Any time!” said Twilight, who went back to her reading. As she did Spike came round the corner.
“Did I just hear that right?” Said Spike.
Twilight just giggled, “She will be fine.”

As Rainbow Dash closed the door she smacked into a blue pony in a dark blue outfit.
“Oh, I'm so-” As Rainbow Dash said that she gasped. In front of her was her idol! It was Soarin’ the Wonderbolt.
“Oh wow. Hey your name is Dash isn’t it?” said Soarin’ in a calm, relaxed tone.
Rainbow Dash’s head was a jumble of thoughts, foremost being ‘Ohmygosh he knows my name EEK!!!’
Soarin’ just looked at the day dreaming pony who was looking very excited. “Uh hello?”
Rainbow Dash quickly snapped out of it. “Oh yeah that is my name, heh. What are you doing in Ponyville?” said Dash trying to act relaxed.
“I just bought a place. I came into town to get some food but the store was closed” said Soarin’ looking disappointed.
“Why don’t you come back with me? I got some food. I can cook you some if you want” then Dash thought to herself ‘Oh no I can’t cook! Oh well Dash just play it cool.’ She put on a fake smile.
“Wow that sounds really cool! Since you won the Best Young Flier’s competition, how do you feel about a race?” said Soarin’ looking very confident.
Rainbow looked at him in disbelief. “You want to race with me?” she said in a shocked tone.
“Why not?” said Soarin’ “You too chicken?” Soarin’ challenged, winding up the younger mare.
“Oh you’re on!” said Rainbow Dash. As she said it the blue stallion shot off.
“Hey!” said Dash who took off soon after, zooming after him, trying to keep up.
The blue stallion looked behind him, she was nowhere in sight so he slowed down wondering where to go. As he slowed he saw a cyan blur zoom past.
“It’s this way!” shouted Rainbow, who very soon after had a fast pursuer.
They were both neck and neck in the race as they crashed into the cloud together, Soarin’ on top of Rainbow Dash. They both started laughing.
“Ha! I obviously won,” said Rainbow Dash looking at the pony who was now sitting next to her.
Scootaloo came running outside. “Wow Dash that was really cool! Oh my gosh. Is that who I think it is?!”
Soarin’ started to blush. “Hey kiddo, wassup?”
Scootaloo looked up at him. “Wow! You’re Soarin’ right?”
“Yeah that’s me. Dash shall we go inside?” said Soarin’ looking hopeful.
“Yeah, I’ll see what we got inside” said Dash, worrying about not being able to cook.
“Um, let’s see... Scoots you got any ideas on what you want?” Scootaloo sat up at the cloud counter.
At that remark Soarin’s green eyes widened. “PIE?! Wow I love pie! Do you have any?” said Soarin’ excitedly.'Why didn’t I take that pie from Applejack?!’ she thought to herself.
“Um, I know where I can get one! Just wait here I will be back in a bit!” said Rainbow Dash who zoomed out the door, down towards Sweet Apple Acres.
She knocked on the door quickly.
“Applejack I need your help! I need three pies ASAP! This is really important!!” Yelled Rainbow Dash.
“Alright, just hold on a second sugar cube.” Applejack appeared shortly after holding three fresh pies. Rainbow Dash grabbed them quickly “Thanks Applejack you’re a lifesaver!” As she said that she shot back up to her mansion.
As she got back to the kitchen she saw Soarin’ and Scootaloo playing Scrabble on the floor in the dining room. To her surprise Scootaloo was destroying Soarin’ at the game. This made Rainbow Dash chuckle.

Scootaloo's Bullies
(Authors note) This is based around a week after the last chapter.
"Listen Rainbow, I don’t know what you want me to tell you. We can’t do anything about this, we have spoken to the colts and they said they would stop, but we can’t do much more since its all out of school." Said Cheerilee, sounding frustrated.
"So what, do you want me to take matters into my own hooves? ‘Cause I can assure you things will get ugly." Dash sounded furious, because her recently adopted daughter was being picked on.
"No, I don’t want you to, because you will just make it worse. Sometimes its best to let these sorts of things get better on their own. trust me, it will be better to let Scootaloo deal with this on her own." Cheerilee was getting irritatated now because the cyan pegasus had been going round in circles for about half an hour now.
"FINE!!!" Said Rainbow Dash storming off. She looked more angry than ever before.
"Hey Rainbow Dash." Said Scootaloo, waiting outside for her idol, looking not quite her usual self. Her head was down and she didn’t shout excitedly like normally.
"Hey there, Scootapoo!" Sneered a colt with a wrench for a cutie mark. He had a red coat and orange mane.
"Nice one, Wrench!" Laughed another colt behind him. This one was had a green coat and yellow mane which covered his eyes.
"Hey! What’s your problem?" Said Rainbow Dash, instantly coming to the defense of her younger friend.
"Oh look, my dad told me about this one. He said she is called Rainbow Crash." Said Wrench laughing hysterically. Rainbow was red in the cheeks from anger, she looked like she was about to charge at the unsuspecting colt. She thought about it, and did nothing but looked ready to kill him.
"Come on Dash, they aren’t worth it let’s just go home." Said Scootaloo looking defeated. Her idol looked back at her with a sly look on her face.
"Ok kiddo, let’s go home. You want to go fast?" Asked Dash with a big grin on her face. She looked to the sky and nodded. Scootaloo looked at her, puzzled.
"Yeah I guess." Said Scootaloo. As she jumped on Rainbow Dash's, back an incredible azurian blue blur wooshed past. Scootaloo was confused, it wasn’t Rainbow Dash, she was standing there. the bullies stood there, amazed, then the blue came past for another sweep messing up the manes of the bullies and confusing them.
"RUN!!!" Yelled Wrench as he started to run. He tripped over his friend, and they both looked at each other then got up and ran.
Laughing on a cloud above were Scootaloo and Rainbow. Soarin’ jumped off the cloud and landed in front of Dash.
"Thanks Soarin’! Glad you came by when you did, I was about ready to kill those two," said Dash. Scootaloo hopped on Rainbow Dash's back.
"Let’s go home..." Scootaloo sighed, looking dejected.
"No," Soarin’ replied triumphantly, "Me and Dash are going too take you to Sugarcube Corner and buy you a nice treat. I think you deserve it kiddo." Scootaloo's face brightened straight away. She yelled in excitement, "YAY!!!"
So they took off and as they arrived at Sugarcube Corner they were greeted by a pink cheerful pony who began to speak quickly,
"Whats wrong Scootaloo? You look sad oh my gosh idea wait here!" The three ponies looked at each other confused until Pinkie Pie came out with a cake that was bigger than her.
"This should cheer you up! I was going to eat it but you look like you need it more!" Pinkie said with a grin, "It’s free of charge because you’re my friends!" She said, hopping back inside.
So the ponies headed back home (with cake in tow) when they arrived, Scootaloo looked sad again. Rainbow Dash looked at Soarin’ for help.
"Uh, kid, I have an idea! How would you like me and Dash over there to give you a few flying lessons? I mean, if your mum is up to it of course." Said Soarin’ sounding a bit worried but hopeful for his plan to work.
"No thanks..." Sighed Scootaloo, who looked really sad and just went inside. Rainbow looked at Soarin’ with tears welling up in her eyes. "Oh my gosh Soarin’ I’ve failed her! I am a horrible mother!" She wailed and burst out crying. Soarin’ ran over to her and hugged her.
"Its ok Dash! You aren’t a bad mom, she’s just in a dark place. Listen I hate to, but I gotta run. I’ve got practice with the Wonderbolts. Just drop her off with her friends and I’ll see you tonight, ok? We will get through this." said Soarin’ as he got ready to go practice.
"Hey, Scootaloo get over here,” said Dash as she saw the orange filly. Scootaloo walked over to her.
"Soarin’ just had a great idea. How would you like to go see your friends for an hour or so?" Scootaloo's face perked up at the thought of her friends.
"Yeah that would be awesome, just let me get my scooter!" Said Scootaloo rushing inside and back out with her scooter extremely quickly.
"Alright kiddo, hop on and hold on tight. I’m not called Dash for nothing!" Rainbow jumped off the cloud and dove quickly towards the ground. She was a few feet from the ground when she pulled up. When they arrived at the clubhouse Sweetie Bell and Applebloom were waiting.
"We missed you at school today." Said Applebloom sounding cheerful.
"Yeah, me and Dash had a problem to take care of. It’s all ok now though." Said Scootaloo trying to end the conversation there.
"Well I’m off." Dash said, taking off and waving back at Scootaloo. She didn’t go straight back to the mansion, she decided to practice some tricks first. By the time she got back it was getting dark. She went inside, but just as she did she heard a frantic knocking at the door; it was Soarin’.
"RAINBOW DASH OPEN UP ITS SCOOTALOO!!!!!" Yelled Soari’n at the top of his lungs, sounding positively freaked out.
Rainbow Dash's heart skipped a beat; she sprinted to the door. She saw Soarin’ standing up straight, with a mound of orange fur and feathers on his back. Scootaloo was covering up her face.
"Scoots whats wrong?" Inquired Rainbow Dash, sounding really worried. Her heart was beating a million miles an hour. Scootaloo turned around to see Dash, who upon seeing the filly in her current state could barely catch her breath.
"What the hell happened?!" Yelped Rainbow Dash, looking at a bruised and bleeding Scootaloo.
"It was the bullies." Said Soarin’, "If me and Spitfire didn’t show up when we did, I’m afraid Scootaloo might have been killed."
Rainbow Dash fainted at this. When she came to, she was on the couch. Next to her was Scootaloo, cleaned up and bandaged, curled up in a little ball. Across her was Spitfire, and sitting next to the fireplace was Soarin’.
"Look who is finally awake." Said Spitfire.
"How long have I been out?" Said Rainbow Dash, her confusion evident.
"Well, if my watch is correct, exactly two days and four hours." Soarin’ answered.
"What?! How can I have been out that long?!" Dash exclaimed, looking even more shocked than before.
"You know what Dash, I don’t know you well, but that kid right next to you hasn’t left your side since you were out. She has been here next to you the entire time you were out. It’s really sweet, she really looks up to you ya know." Said Spitfire, proud of Soarin’ for getting such a noble girlfriend.
"Soarin’, do you think us getting involved in all this caused the bullies to react like that?" Dash asked, sounding very upset.
"I’m not gonna lie, it is a possibility Dash. You’er not a bad mom, you did what was instinctive. You stood up for your child. I think my getting involved was a bad idea." As Soarin’ said that he turned his head towards Spitfire, revealing a gash on his cheek. Dash looked at him, puzzled.
"Soarin’ what happened to your cheek?" Dash asked worriedly.
"Well, when we kicked the bullies away from Scootaloo, I clipped one of them on the cheek. Unfortunately the kid’s dad was near by and saw. Then he ran at me with a knife. I dodged him no problem, he was strong but slow and stupid. Sadly, I let my arrogance get the better of me and I flew up and taunted him. He threw the knife, and I didn’t see it coming so it caught me on the cheek. I picked up scootaloo and we got out of there, fast." Explained Soarin’. As he said this a droplet of blood fell off his cheek and landed on the cloud.
"Hey, listen Rainbow, you go to sleep we will see to this in the morning. Me and soarin will get out of your hair. If the kid wakes up its probably best to not mention anything." Said Spitfire reassuringly. Rainbow Dash just nodded and dozed back off to sleep.

Scootaloo awoke from her long sleep. Surprisingly, Rainbow Dash wasn’t next to her. That made her feel sad, until she looked up to see her mum slaving away in the kitchen, trying to cook some bacon. Scootaloo got a worried look on her face; Rainbow was the best flier in Equestria, not the best cook. The kitchen looked more like a thunder cloud than its usual puffy white colour. This made Scootaloo giggle.
Rainbow Dash heard the little giggle and turned around "Hey what are you laughing at? i’ve worked really hard on this!" Said Rainbow in a joking manner, with a little giggle in her voice too.
"The kitchen looks like Soarin's pies once he is done with them!" Said Scootaloo wryly. Rainbow Dash laughed at this. "Come here you!" She said as she jumped on Scootaloo both of them laughed at each other.
"Listen kid, I was told not to talk to you about this, but I have to know, why weren’t you with your friends during the attack?" Scootaloo's head instantly dropped.
"Um, Rainbow they were. Applebloom is in hospital and Sweetie Belle is in intensive care. I got the least amount of pain out of the lot, I think." Rainbow looked distraught, but she turned that sadness into anger. The only thing she could think to do was hunt down and kill both the bullies and their parents. Scootaloo snapped Rainbow out of her daydream of putting the bullies heads on top of spears and showing the world.
"Rainbow, it’s nothing. this will all go away in tI'me trust me, my parents did a lot worse things to me than this." Rainbow Dash was so shocked at that that she started crying and felt disorientated. To herself Dash thought, Maybe that’s why Scootaloo can’t fly. Maybe they attacked her and hurt her wing.
"Rainbow listen, I don’t want to talk about this. I'm still hurt by everything that happened, so can we just spend the day together in peace?" Scootaloo almost begged.
"HEY RAINBOW YOU UP THERE? AH NEED A WORD WITH YA!" Applejack called from outside. She sounded a bit mad but mostly worried. Rainbow opened the door and flew down to the ground below next to Applejack.
"Listen here Rainbow, Ah am just as upset about this as you." At this remark Rainbow rolled her eyes.
"Listen AJ, i’ve heard it all before. yesterday I spoke to Cheerilee, Scootaloo's teacher, she said that I can’t take matters into my own hooves, it will just make the whole situation worse."
"Whoa there Nelly, Ah’m not here to tell ya not to take matters into your own hooves, me and miss Perfect over here would like to do rather the opposite." As Applejack said that Rarity exited from the bush behind, looking beyond angry and practically scowling.
"Listen here Rainbow, I know it’s different because you’re Scootaloo's mother, but nopony puts my baby sister in the hospital!" At that remark Applejack nodded fiercely.
"Wow, you guys want to do this? I am totally in. It’s time to show those chumps who’s boss. They’ve been picking on those who can't defend themselves, so let’s see them stand up to somepony who can!” Dash cried as a sort of pep talk.
As Rainbow said that her azurian boyfriend shot down from the sky. Next to him was a beautiful yellow Pegasus. Rainbow was shocked; she had never seen Spitfire out of her Wonderbolt uniform before.
"Hey Dash, introduce me to your- oh wait is that the one that kicked me in the face at the Best Young Flier’s competition?" Asked Spitfire. At that remark Rarity started to blush and awkwardly giggle.
"Yes, I'm terribly sorry about that; it was foalish for me to enter into the competition. I was not a very good friend to Rainbow Dash." Rarity explained looking down at the ground in a sheepish manner.
"Whoa, calm down; it’s fine. if you didn’t do that think about the champ over here, she did a sonic rainboom. I bet you made her happy knowing she could pull that off." Said Spitfire trying to raise the unicorn’s currently low morale.
"Okay, so how are we gonna do this guys?" Said Rainbow Dash, looking at Rarity and Applejack.
"Do what?" Said Soarin’ curiously.
"Take care of these bullies. They put Sweetie Belle into intensive care, Applebloom into the hospital, and they made the mistake of even laying a hoof on Scootaloo." Dash looked furious; the more she said the more angry she got.
"Rainbow, you said you would spend the day with me." Rainbow looked at Soarin’ he looked back thinking "Don’t look at me I didn’t say it" then an orange filly emerged from his back, jumping off.
"Rainbow Dash you have made me the happiest I have ever been by simply caring for me. You showed me that through your actions, but you told me you would spend the day with me and forgot about it! I think I need you right now more than those bullies do." Scootaloo got an instant reaction from Rainbow Dash who felt warm inside knowing that she bought comfort into a young filly's life. Not just that she made her feel special and wanted. She wasn't about to let her anger take that away straight away Rainbow put on a smile.
"Hey squirt, I got a few things to say. Number one lets teach you how to fly, and Number two do you think your mum has it in her to beat Spitfire in a race?" Scootaloo had a great big smile on her face and jumped up. "Yay! This will be the best, and I mean the BEST day EVER!!!" Yelled the pony. Spitfire gave Rainbow Dash a glance as if to say ‘bring it on’.
Soarin' looked at Spitfire. He knew for a fact that she wasn't about to give up her place as fastest flier to Rainbow Dash. Rainbow looked back at Spitfire almost to say ‘this could be my chance of getting into the Wonderbolts, Spitfire you are so going down’. Soarin's mind was soon taken away from all these confusing thoughts he went back to dreaming about that apple pie he had yesterday.
"Rainbow Dash, I know you were thinking this earlier and the answer is yes, my dad isn't a nice guy and before I left home I told him he could go to hell because he just hit one of my friends so he turned to me with a hammer in his hand he hit me in the ankle twice breaking it, then shoulder barged me down the stairs which dislocated my shoulder, and here is the worst part his brutality cost me years of my life he bit me in the wing that's why I'm not a strong flier.” She lifted her little wing to show a scar where her father had bitten her. Rainbow Dash had tears in her eyes.
"Listen here Scootaloo, and you listen good. Your father is the stupidest stallion alive; I would never lay a finger on you in bad intentions, I will never do anything to harm you. I love you and will keep you safe till the day I die." Said Rainbow meaning every word of it.
"Rainbow I wasn't finished; you don't get it. The bullies at school? Wrench is my brother the stallion that attacked Soarin'? That was my farther." Soarin' went bright red and so did Rainbow Dash she shot off faster than a speeding bullet.
"Wait!!!" screamed Scootaloo.
"Hop on kid!" said Soarin' Scootaloo got on his back and he shot off after the cyan pegasus who was going so fast she could have set off several sonic rainbooms had she wanted to. She spotted her target. She recognised the wrench on his flank and next to him was the father. She flew straight down into him, picked him up, and threw him into Sugarcube Corner. The throw had more force behind it than intended; the dark brown and red maned pegasus that was Scootaloo's dad flew through Sugarcube Corner and out the other side. A tree stopped him. He got a nasty cut on his head, and as he patted his head with his hoof he saw the blood on his hoof and started to panic. A second ago he was with his son now he was bleeding next to a tree. Rainbow Dash shot through the holes in Sugarcube Corner and landed next to Scootaloo's father who was disorientated and barely knew what planet he was on.
"You listen here you sorry excuse for a stallion! You lay a hoof on Scootaloo ever again and I will come back and break every bone in your body! Do I make myself clear?!" Screamed Rainbow who was so furious, her eyes were practically just pupils. Scootaloo's dad started laughing.
"You stupid pegasus, attacking me? You know Scootaloo can't even fly! She was a waste of time we knew that ever since she was born. Wrench here can do anything he never fails us he is the strongest colt in his class. Scootaloo is just a disgrace and you adopted her? You are pathetic." As he sneared pathetic he was interrupted by taking a hoof to the face knocking him clean out and about thirty feet down the road.
"You ever say Scootaloo's name ever again and by Luna I will finish the job!" Said Rainbow who had now calmed down she started to walk through the crowd that had formed watching the brutality. Wrench ran past her towards his unconscious dad then a blue blur landed next to her of course it was Soarin'.
"Wow Rainbow! Sweet Celestia, you think that was a bit much?! I mean that guy isn’t just bleeding; I think you knocked like ten teeth out of his mouth~" They both looked back to see Wrench's dad wake up and panic because their was so much blood around his mouth it was almost pouring out in gallons.
"Rainbow you are awesome! Wow, that was unbelievable! I didn’t want you to get involved earlier but wow I can't believe it you care about me enough to do that to one of the toughest guys in Ponyville! Thank you soooo much!" Scootaloo was so excited to see her dad get what was coming to him.
"Scoots I would do that to a thousand guys just to spend a second with you. That's how much I care. Now what do you say, shall we get you in the air and me thrashing Spitfire in a race?" Asked Rainbow feeling so triumphant and astonished by the strength that she had not just physically but mentally dished out.
"Okay Rainbow! Can we start with me? I want to learn how to fly. It might even be what my cutie mark is!" Rainbow looked at Scootaloo and nodded.
"You really think you can beat me?" A called out of the crowd, it was Spitfire, ready to race.
"Ha, any day Spit! Let’s start with kiddo here then I will race you." Said Rainbow trying to reason with the pony who would of taken her on right there.
After a while the group got back to the mansion. "Okay Scoots, let’s see how experienced you are in flight. Just try hovering." Said Rainbow as instruction. Scootaloo flapped with all her might but wasn't getting anywhere. Rainbow spotted the issue straight away; one wing was almost getting her off the ground but the wounded wing was barely moving.
"Scoots, this is gonna be hard to hear, but that wounded wing is barely moving. Here let me help you with that. Also your posture is off; tuck both hooves under your body like that." Rainbow bandaged up Scootaloo's wing which stung but Scootaloo was too brave to cry in front of her hero. She took off again, she was in the air! But she lost her balance and she plummeted head first into Rainbow’s cloud garden.
"Haha!" Soarin' chuckled, earning matching glares from Spitfire and Rainbow Dash. He instantly seemed to find his hooves very interesting.
"Good job kiddo! Maybe two hooves is too much, here keep this hoof on the ground to balance yourself." Said Spitfire, Rainbow looked at her and thought ‘it was a genius idea’ so she said herself "Yeah Spitfire is right try that!" So Scootaloo did, and this time she didn’t plummet into the cloud. She looked so excited.
"GUYS I’M FLYING!!!!" Yelled the filly, who then started shooting round the garden with one leg in front of her. Of course she was kinda slow but she felt like she was going as fast as Rainbow Dash could.
"Alright kid, my turn to teach you." Said Soarin'. "Come here," he instructed standing at the edge of the cloud. Scootaloo flitted over to him. "Listen closely, you follow my exact instructions, okay?" "Okay, I will!" Replied Scootaloo.
"Jump." Said Soarin'. "Wait, what?!" Sqeaked Scootaloo. "JUMP!!!" He repeated, yelling this time. As he said it he dove off the cloud the orange filly following him. Soarin' was plummeting to the ground going face first against the wind Scootaloo was behind him screaming "Soarin' I don't like this we are getting too close to the ground!" As she finished that thought, he said "Wait for it, Wait for it, NOW!!!" As he yelled that, the orange filly’s wings flapped faster than they ever had before "Now lift your head!" As she did that her body swooped from a dive into a straight position she looked down in amazement "Wow Soarin' I'm gliding! I'm flying properly!"As she said that a dark brown hoof grabbed over her mouth; she tried to scream but the hoof was to tight around her muzzle. Soarin' looked around "What happened to that spirit champ?" As he said that he turned around to see a young colt charging at him with a wrench in his hoof. He swung at the Wonderbolt, hitting Soarin' straight in the mouth, the impact was huge enough for blood to pour out of Soarin’s mouth, teeth with it. The smack had knocked him out. As he was falling Wrench hovered triumphantly above Soarin’s falling body. As that happened a blue hoof shot straight into Wrench's mouth. It was a blue fabric; it wasn't Rainbow Dash; it was Spitfire's hoof, she was in her Wonderbolts outfit.
"Don't mess with a Wonderbolt!" She yelled at the almost unconcious colt. She swooped down and caught Soarin', then over her head she saw a sonic rainboom with a rainbow and blue speck zooming out of it. "Go get ‘em." Spitfire whispered as she saw her friend shoot off towards the brown stallion. He was extremely fast for such a big build. He dropped Scootaloo from about 10 feet above the ground into the Everfree forest. Scootaloo landed painfully, and the cruel stallion started to laugh menacingly. He was soon cut off by an almost explosive pain in his rib cage; Rainbow Dash had flown into him so fast that the collision caused a sonic rainboom (or in this case, perhaps a painboom) in itself. Rainbow felt the collision too and although Scootaloo's dad had flown about a mile she was thrown back into a tree. She landed next to Scootaloo. Dash was barely conscious but the only thing she could think about was defending her daughter. She crawled over to Scootaloo and put one wing over the motionless body and snuggled up behind her, trying to comfort her. Rainbow could barely move; her back had slammed so hard into the tree the top of it had been knocked over.

Recovery
Rainbow woke up on a fluffy bed she was confused she wasnt in the forest a million things went through her mind "Where is Scootaloo? how did i get here? what is going on?" Then she looked over her left shoulder Soarin was fast asleep he had fallen asleep eating one of Applejacks famous apple pies his head was dunked in it Rainbow started snickering at him he woke up.
"What what oh its you" Said Soarin sounding very very tired he got up and stretched Rainbow looked like hell she had bandages everywhere and a few stitch's one very painful looking one on her left brow.
"Soarin please tell me Scootaloo is ok i did everything i could to protect her" Rainbow was almost crying she was certain that the filly was dead.
"Listen Dash Scoots is alive but she has been unconcious since we rushed her here to hospital the doctors said that her wing took the main impact of the fall she might never fly again" Rainbow started crying not even trying to restrain herself.
"She has never flown properly though Soarin i wanted to teach her how to fly i wanted to be the one who was their when she learnt her first trick" Rainbow was in hysterics Soarin saw that she needed somepony their for her so he walked over and let her rest her head on his shoulder he wrapped his arms around her.
"Dash you are the best mum that kid could ask for she loves you more than life itself she would give up anything for you and she will never loose that you are her idol" Sair Soarin reasuringly Dash lifted her head "I want to see her i want to make sure she is ok" Dash got out of bed and limped down the hallway three of her legs were find but the back left one was torn to shreds she must of hit it on her way down the tree she saw Scootaloo across the coridor and flew quickly down to see her.
"Oh Scootaloo im so sorry that this had to happen maybe im not the right parent for you maybe you need a parent who puts life before limb" Dash shed a tear that landed on Scootaloo Dash gave her a hug fealing that she only had one option and it was to give Scootaloo over to someone more responsible.
"Rainbow Dash is that you" her eyes were starting to open very weakly "Yeah squirt its me you dont think a few broken bones could keep me down do ya" Said Dash trying to cheer up Scootaloo Scootaloo smiled back.
"Listen Scoots i have really been thinking about this and i think that you would be better off" Rainbow was cut off by Scootaloo "Rainbow Dash you are wrong and couldnt be more wrong if you tried you know sometimes you are a stupid mare i wouldnt be better off with someone else you are the best mum in the world you are the only pony that i feal safe and happy around all the time when my dad had me above the forest i was really scared until i saw your rainboom and it instantly cheered me up knowing that you were their" Rainbow didnt know how to reply too that for such a young filly she was really wise she turned around to see Soarin standing their and all her friends including Sweetybell and Applebloom Twilight was the first to speak.
"Rainbow oh my gosh are you ok you look like hell" "Yeah im fine just a few broken bones im more worried about Scootaloo the thought of her being hurt makes me cringe but to know that she actually is hurt is even worse it is like a wild manticore eating away at me" Twilight was quite shocked at Rainbows answer normally her friend would of said some arogant line like "Yeah im awesome as always" Rarity stepped foreward
"Darling you need some rest if you want when Scootaloo is better i will have her for a little bit until your better i mean" Rainbow started to snarl the thought of someone else near her daughter at that time just drove her insane she was looking very angrily at her friends as if to say try and take her she didnt even know what she was doing it was just her instincts talking Rarity looked at her friend like she had just punched her in the face and spat on her "Rainbow Dash dont treat me like that i am your friend and your behaviour is sympoly diabolical" Rainbow calmed down and put her head down in shame she fealt a warm hug from Rarity this soothed her and made her feal relaxed she took a deep breath "Im sorry Rarity i dont know what came over me im just extremely protective over Scootaloo lately she is my daughter ya know?"
"We all understand Rainbow none of us are parents but we have siblings that we would die for" Fluttershy looked like she wanted to talk but couldnt find the courage to say so and whenever she found the courage someone would interupt her the person to do it this time was Soarin "Hey Dash me and Spitfire have to take off we have to be at a show in ten minutes listen here is the wonderbolt card we are having auditions for the wonderbolts in a few days you should be their all the details are o the card" as Soarin said that he took off with Spitfire close behind him everyone still their had their jaws dropped Rainbow didnt even look at the card on the floor she was stroking Scootaloo's mane and she ignored the card "Um Rainbow dont ya know what just hapned the wonderbolts want you to audition" "Thats nice" Said Rainbow almost in a tranquil way she didnt even flinch her mind was set on keeping Scootaloo safe and nothing else.
"Oh my gosh guys can you believe this Rainbow's chance to live the dream and she cares more about her daughter she truly is the best mum i can think of" Said Twilight who looked so incredibly proud of her friend she was more than amazed.
Scootaloo hopped up out of bed and limped to the card and put it in her mouth and showed it to her mum "I know kid but your more important right now i care about you more than myself how about we get you home" Said Rainbow in a nice calm way Rainbow and Scootaloo walked through the crowd of friends standing their still trying to comprehend what had just happened.
When they got home Scootaloo spread out her wings "What do you think your doing?" Said Rainbow looked at her friend sternly "Rainbow i was flying a few hours ago i have never fealt so happy in my life if i cant fly again i dont want to live i will fly if it kills me i truly am passionate about this "i never was good at keeping to rules practice inside i dont want you going outside and dont break anything or its coming out of your pocket money" "I get pocket money?" "Hell yeah kido how does 10 gold a week sound?" Scootaloo fealt so happy this pegasus was everything she could of wanted she was flying with one hoof on the ground making very quick progress.
The next morning Rainbow woke up because she heard flapping coming from above her it was Scootaloo "Look Rainbow i dont have a hoof on the ground and im flying i can keep myself up here for ages and thats not all look at this im not a blank anymore" Scootaloo turned around she had a cutie mark it was a cloud like Rainbow Dash's but instead of the rainbow bolt their were two orange bolts crossing infront of the cloud like swords "Oh my gosh Scootaloo well done im so proud of you wait here i have an idea" Rainbow got out of bed and went to her closet rumaging through the rubish in her closet "Ah got it" She pulled out a young wonderbolt uniform "This used to fit me when i was about your size im sure it will fit you perfectly" Scootaloo put it on she looked amazing in it like a true wonderbolt she keapt that face part off because it didnt fit "Now" Said Rainbow in a smug fashion "Lets go outside im gonna teach you how to get from the ground to the mansion so you can take yourself to and from school" they both walked outside to the edge of the cloud Scootaloo remembered how to dive which is exactly what she did with Dash they got near the ground so pulled up then Dash said "Follow my lead" Rainbow leaned back with all her might so that she almost stopped she hovered for a bit then landed Scootaloo had a bit of a more rough landing but none the less she still landed.
"Now" Said Rainbow "You can get off the cloud but can you get back on it" Rainbow launched herself into the air and nodded at Scootaloo signaling her to follow Scootaloo did with all her might Rainbow changed position so that her head was pointing to the sky and the body changed position so that it was following then she flapped her wings as fast as she could to get some speed on her uplift Scootaloo was struggling to keep up but she still was Rainbow kind of pranced onto the cloud and Scootaloo kind of crashed into the cloud.

Soarin and Dash.
Rainbow was sat infront of the fire getting warm their was a knock at the door "Its open" she said and so Soarin walked through and into the lounge holding flowers and a pie "Really" said Dash in a jokish tone.
"Well i was hungry and well the flowers well spitfires idea" Rainbow Dash started to giggle she got up and accepted the gift graciously she then rubbed her nuzzle against his mane he enjoyed the feel of her nuzzle.
"Arent you gonna get ready Dash" Said Soarin instantly knowing that she already was ready he started to blush "Um Soarin i am ready to go" Soarin was very red now he thought to himself "Ok quick recovery um well ah i got it" I meant why dont you get your coat its quite cold out their i dont want you to get a cold" He looked proud of himself.
"Soarin its the middle of summer it isnt cold out their you silly thing" She went to the door "Scootaloo is spending the night with Applebloom down at the farm we got the whole night to ourselves so whats it gonna be a film, dinner or do you want to have sex for the whole night" Soarin was quite shocked at the crude joke "Um uh how about" "Soarin im kidding god lets go get some food then see a film ok?" Soarin nodded when they arrived at the restaurant they got an amazing seat in an amazing restaurant "Wow Soarin how did we end up in such a nice place this is amazing" as she said that a group of four pegasus showed up all in uniform and walked over to the table they surounded it "Hey Soarin long time i know we are supposed to be rivals but hell you were a good friend a while back so who is this your girlfriend" the girl pegasus that was talking started laughing "hu uh yeah she is one hell of a gal best one i have had in a hell of a long time" Rainbow started giggling quietly " Well i always knew you had a soft spot for wing clamps" As she said that Rainbow got up suddenly "What did you just call me" "I called you a wing clamp incase you need a dictonary it means you cant fly fast or well" Soarin stepped in between them he expected a fight to break out.
"Listen Mustang im better at flying than you and Rainbow Dash is one hell of a flyer she has done the sonic rainboom on multiple ocassions and i can date whoever the hell i want so why dont you get lost before this turns into something that its not" Mustang looked at Soarin then at Rainbow Dash "HAHAHA you make me laugh Soarin look at this mare she couldnt sonic rainboom if her life depended on it she looks slower than snails" Rainbow was going red with frustration then she turned around the whole restaurant had stopped and was staring at the argument a young pegasus walked up to Rainbow and grabbed her hoof.
"Um hey i would like to see a sonic rainboom i think you two should race outside i have never seen a rainboom before but i know all about them it would be a dream come true for me" Rainbow looked at the kid then put on her smug grin "you know what Mustang you are on unless your to scared of being wooped by a freelance pony" Mustang laughed and nodded she left with her team outside the door Rainbow walked out with Soarin "Damn it rainbow cant you let it go you are faster than her but she dosent play fair i dumped her because she started talking with bad ponyfolk she knows some bad people"
Rainbow saw how disapointed Soarin looked "Hey Mustang im not gonna race you im on a date with Soarin but i'll tell you what i will do this" Rainbow shot up into the night sky quickly disapearing everyone stared at amazement as the pony got really high then shot down like a speeding bullet an arrow shaped cloud formed around her then the boom happened swoosh she shot out of the boom with a trail of rainbow behind her she thought she would show off so she shot past Mustang on her way through town she did a hoop and landed next to Soarin planting a kiss on him.
Everyone stared in amazement the young filly from before was yelling she was very excited Mustang stood their she was angry she had just been showed up infront of a crowd she was known by her team as the fastest their was but not even she could sonic rainboom "You know what Rainbow Dash Gilda was right about you your just a show off" Rainbow turned around furiosly and ran upto Mustang "Did you just say Gilda as in Gilda the griffin?" "Yeah she is the leader of our team when we found out how well she could fly we instantly hired her she told us all about you Rainbow Crash" Mustang started walking away again Rainbow tapped her on the shoulder and as she turned around Rainbow Planted one hell of a hood into the kisser of the unsuspecting mare Mustangs team instantly ran upto Rainbow Dash "Stop" She said "Dont worry we are leaving" The team didnt want a fight so they went up to the beaten up Mustang and walked off with her.
"What did i just tell you i said dont get into it with her god Dash do you ever listen" Soarin said furiosly "Hey Soarin thats unfair you know that was all her fault" " I know it was but you still played your part you rainboomed showing off then to make the night worse you hit her" Rainbow looked suprised Soarin wasnt enjoying the night and he never spoke like that to her before now "Dash listen i didnt mean that" "Stop you have said enough" Rainbow walked away fealing very upset that she had let Soarin down like that Soarin went after her "Listen Dash i have been stressed out lately i shouldnt of crackede like i did you have never once bore me you are the most exciting pony i have ever dated look at you so much potential you are so moody and always start fights" "WHAT" yelled Rainbow Dash "Like that and thats why i like you if someone is being picked on your always their to defend if their is a fight you always help out you are the most loyal pony i know i cant think of anyone that deserves the element more than you" Rainbow's cheeks were blushing at the flattery but she was still annoyed so she continued storming off "Hey Dash you know what i have on me right now" "I dont care" replied Rainbow Dash "You will when you see them" "Oh what i mean go away" " Come on Dash i know how much you want to be a wonderbolt" Rainbow shot back to him "What did you just say" she said curiosly "Well wonderbolts are holding auditions for someone to enter into the ranks of being a wonderbolt and i think you should audition it means we can work together and we have more time together our work is scheduled the same" Rainbow hugged Soarin in admiration "When is it" Said Rainbow "I lied ha sorry Rainbow i have no tickets i just need you stop being a grump and talk to me" Rainbow looked furiosly at him then shot off into the night sky "Wait" Said Soarin flying after her she was going fast maybe even to fast for him he struggled but keapt up she was heading for her mansion"
"Rainbow for hays sake get back here your being stupid about this whole thing i didnt mean anything bad against you i will get you into the wonderbolts i will be able to" Rainbow slowed down and took a deep breath "Soarin dont play with me like that you know how bad i want to be a wonderbolt and to raise my expectations like that isnt fair" Said Rainbow with a hint of sadness in her voice Soarin went to hug her but as he did a flash of dark flew out of nowhere pinning Rainbow down stopping her from escaping the grab and slamming her into the ground.
"Hey what the hell you get off her" Said Soarin he went to pursue the attacker "Soarin shut up" the voice came from behind Soarin turned to see it was Mustang she hit him with a baseball bat in the face making him bleed she grabbed him and took him down to the ground "Cant have you hurting before a show now can we" Rainbow was being pinned against the ground she couldnt move but she fealt the anger in her rising Mustang kissed Soarin on the forehead "He has and always will be mine Dash leave him alone he dosent need to hang around with loosers like you he has friends like me who fly in the league you know thats for the best of the best only so buzz of" Rainbow had built a rage like none before "Dont you touch him" She broke out of the pin smacked the pony pinning her and leapt at Mustang who tried to dodge but wasnt quick enough Dash rugby tackled the unsuspecting pony and started hitting her Mustang wasnt the kind of pony to take a beating from anyone she kicked Rainbow in the stomach, "Oouf" Said Rainbow winded by the mighty kick Mustang stood up and picked up the baseball next to her "Come on then show me what you got" Rainbow was fed up of hearing that annoying voice she charged at the pony this time Mustang was ready she dived to the left and smacked Rainbow on the back of the head with the bat.
"Gilda she is all yours dont be long Soarin will be up soon" Gilda swooped down and landed next to Dash who was on the floor on her back now looking at Gilda "Hey their crash i see your still a cloud pusher on the weather team what a loser job your pathetic why dont you just go die in a ditch seriously noone would miss you ease the burden off your friends and go get lost look what you did to Soarin he is bleeding on the floor and this isnt the first time he has bled because of you is it" at that Gilda shot up into the sky her friends following "Leave this dweeb to her business i got better stuff to do" Dash crawled over to Soarin who really was hurting and was going cold he just regained conciousness
"Rainbow what happened my head really stings" Said Soarin looking up at Rainbow Dash "Your eyes are amazing Soarin the emerald green colour your amazing" Dash had only just realised but that spark had gone off inside of her Soarin was the one the soul mate for her she didnt love him she was in love with him she had fallen for him.
He looked back up at her "Dash dont speak i know the spark went off in me too we have fallen for each other i love you Dash now how about helping me up to the mansion i need some rest and you look like you need a bandage" they both went back upto the mansion and i think they will both say that after that it was the best night either had ever had the romance was in the air,
In the morning Rainbow woke up "Wow did we do it last night i cant remember my head still hurts from that bat" was what she was thinking she slid from underneath his arm "Listen Dash you cant walk out on me when this is your apartment i have to walk out on you" "Shut up im going to get Scootaloo" "Come on Dash the kid can fly now if she wants to get up here so desperately she will fly up" "No she is still my kid and im going to go get her" Rainbow walked off Soarin just went back to sleep.

Rainbow was up in the sky ready to attempt another sonic rainboom this time mixing it up a little instead of just flying down she was going to try some barrel rolls and maybe some maneuvering to she shot down extremely quickly gaining speed fast and doing a few barrel rolls she was barely surviving the wind was becoming too strong she couldnt take much more.
"Hey Rainbow Dash wanna hang out?" Yelled Scootaloo from down below Rainbow looked at the filly this broke her concentration next thing she knows the wind that was shaped like an arrow had sprung back into a line and had hit her bouncing her off into the sky spinning out of control.
"Scootaloo for christ sake will you go away i need to practice and you are constantly bugging me your to slow to keep up with me so just go do something else get out of my life" Yelled Rainbow furiosly and without a second thought shot off to practice elsewhere Scootaloo was heart broken her head lowered and a tear formed in her eye Rainbow had yelled at her before but not like that this time she had told Scootaloo to get out of her life Scootaloo was so stressed she didnt know what to feal angry or lonely she walked off to the edge of the everfree forest and started crying uncontrolably she had one good thing in her life and she had messed it up Rainbow wanted her out of her life she was crying for a few hours until she decided to turn the sadness into anger.
"If Rainbow dosent want me i will just leave i will leave ponyville go somewhere else start again" She went up to the mansion opened the door Rainbow was asleep on the couch a magazine on her chest "life of a speedster" the front cover read "Hmph" said the pony storming off into her room on her way to the room she walked past the sofa Rainbow was on she knocked it on her way past knocking Rainbow to the floor "Hey" Said Rainbow as she woke up she could see through a slight gap in the door Scootaloo was packing.
"Hey Scoots what ya packin?" Said Rainbow in a joyful way Scootaloo just ignored her and continued packing "Scootaloo i just asked you a question dont be rude" Scootaloo looked at Rainbow and stuck out her tongue then returned to packing Rainbow leapt on Scootaloo pinning her to the ground "Scootaloo what has gotten into you i asked you a question dont ignore me" Scootaloo just looked away pretending she wasnt pinned Rainbow got off and sat down infront of Scootaloo looking very confused.
"Listen Scootaloo i dont know what i did wrong what do you want me to say your acting so out of character if old Scootaloo is in their can i talk to her i miss her" Scootaloo got a tear in her eye "im leaving" Rainbow closed the door stopping Scootaloo from leaving "Excuse me" Said Rainbow a few things number one i am your legal guardian i get that you dont want to call me mum but according to the law i am your mum and number two where are you planning on going you cant do anything your just small and noone will accept anything you give unless im their you cant inlist in school without me or have access to shelter, money and food.
"You told me to go away and to get out of your life so thats what i am doing why are you arguing"Said Scootaloo looking sad a tear dropped from her eye onto a picture of Rainbow and Scootaloo together their first picture together Scootaloo had trodden on it by accident "Scoots im sorry i didnt mean to upset you so much i didnt mean any of that it was all in the heat of the moment if you left me here i would be distraught my life would just stop you keep me going when im down you are the light of my day it breaks my heart thinking of a life without you" Said Rainbow who was upset now too her head bowed in shame because of what she had said.
"Do you mean that? i dont know what to think right now you'r sending out all these mixed fealings and its confusing me" Rainbow put her hoof on Scootaloo's shoulder "I was going to wait till later to offer you this but i have a proposal i have spoken to the people down in cloudsdale flight academy and they said that they still had a few spots still left for people to join."
"Oh Celestia (No more god happy?) that is amazing but what about my friends Sweetybell and Applebloom cant fly i wont loose them as friends will I?" Said Scootaloo the enthusiasm was leaving her voice now at the thought of her friends not being their with her.
"Scootaloo i cant make this choice for you the offer will still stand until about a week from now so you have time to think about it now come here and give me a hug" Scootaloo rushed to Rainbows arms and gave her a hug she was crying on Rainbows mane Rainbow thought to herself "Finally tears of joy not sadness i have so much impact on this kid anything i say will affect if its good or bad their is no difference i have got to start thinking about what i say before i say it"
As that happened their was a crash coming from the entrance to the mansion it was the sound of the door being forced open then their was some cluttering in the kitchen "What in the name of Luna is going on out their" Rainbow opened the door and looked over to the kitchen to see Soarin was in a headlock by one of Gilda's friends Rainbow then looked to the door it was obvious that they had flown in together fighting Rainbow went to help Soarin using her front hoof she smacked the pony in the mouth making him release Soarin.
"Hey" Yelled the pony who then charged ferociously at Rainbow who using her front hoof pushed his charging fist down then clotheslining him their was a large thud as he hit the ground he got up and kicked Rainbow Rainbow in the stomach winding her Scootaloo walked in to see what was going on she was distraught to see her idol being beaten up the attacking pony struck rainbow in the face with a lightning fast punch knocking her over Scootaloo ran upto him and started hitting him in the stomach with both hooves he just looked at her and laughed he back hoofed her in the face sending her to the floor Rainbow saw this and as she is very over protective she got up and ran into him tackling him to the floor she started hitting him in the face his face was begining to bruise and little blotches of blood were apearing Soarin grabbed her fist as she had it pulled back ready to punch "Hey Dash come on he has had enough" Dash looked at him furiosly and threw one last punch then got off him Soarin grabbed him and threw him out the house closing the door on him.
"Dash are you ok" "Yeah im fine" As she said that she started walking over to scootaloo who had a black eye where the hoof had caught her she was lying down "Scootaloo are you ok do you want some ice for that eye" Scootaloo's bruised eye was barely open she nodded "Soarin stay with her make sure she is ok i'm going to go get the ice.

The finale
In a darker place in the world Scootaloo’s dad was standing their with his son and some of his friends which weren’t exactly the nicest looking people most had either hammers or other blunt weapons Scootaloo’s dad put on an eye patch and turned around “I like your idea Gilda this really will hurt her how do we go about doing this” Gilda looked at the man with eyes of hate “She will pay for what she did to me what did you say your name was again?” The man looked at her “Call me Neo”
Soarin was outside playing with Scootaloo just messing about in the air Scootaloo was just doing basic movements attempting to mimic Soarin Mustang popped out of a cloud Soarin saw her and stood in front of Scootaloo to protect her “Mustang that is close enough” “Whoa Soarin chill out I just wanted to apologize for my behavior the other night it was despicable and its not my place to do what I did I should of left you and I really am sorry for what’s about to happen.” Soarin looked at her confused then ducked as a knife swooped over him someone had thrown it he turned around to attack the pursuer but as he turned around Mustang kicked him in the back of the head knocking him out she caught him and rested him on the cloud Scootaloo didn’t know what to do if she did anything they would break her so she made an attempt to run but Gilda flew down and landed in front of her “Come here or I will break you” as she said that Scootaloo tried to turn around but Gilda grabbed her by the throat and flew off.
A few hours later Rainbow came outside “Wow what a nice nap wait Soarin” She saw him on the cloud unconscious in a pool of his own blood she ran up to him and picked up his head he was gaining consciousness “Ahhh my head oh Celestia Rainbow they took Scootaloo I tried to stop them but I wasn’t strong enough they have her quick we need to help her I think they plan to kill her Rainbow gave Soarin some room and thought to herself ok where would they take her “Soarin I cant think straight lets go see Twilight she might have some ideas”
At Twilights house the knocked and she answered, “Listen Twilight this is important Scootaloo’s dad has Scootaloo and he plans on killing her I need your help do you know where they could have gone” Twilight looked to her friend “Well after your dispute with him outside sugar cube corner I found a book on an anonymous pony but it match’s his description perfectly you wont like what it says though its not good” Rainbow looked worried at her friend “Twilight I know its bad but we don’t have time to delay” Twilight took a deep breath “Ok listen Scootaloo’s dad refers to himself as Neo he has been in a lot of bad stuff and dragged Scootaloo in with him he does bad stuff he hurts ponies robs from them he once broke into Canterlot bank and stole just about all the money in their his two accomplices were Scootaloo and Wrench they were tools for him he has hypnotized them before many times he has drugged them the lot that is why Scootaloo left.”
“Do you know where they could be I need to know if he kills her then it will kill me I cant live without her I just cant” Twilight thought for a while “I'm sorry Rainbow I don’t know where they would go he is unpredictable” as Twilight said that Applejack walked in “hey der Twilight Rainbow how yo all doin today” Rainbow spun around quickly “Applejack you gotta help me have you seen Scootaloo or her dad?” Applejack replied instantly “Why yeah I have I saw her and that Mustang character and I saw her dad oh and I even saw that Gilda friend of yours from a few years back she did not look happy come to think of it none of them did” Rainbow looked furious “Gilda why is Gilda with them I never did anything to her anyway did you see which direction they were heading” Applejack put her hoof to her chin thinking “Well they were headed for Dragons gorge but that place is dangerous why would they head their” Rainbow and Soarin shot out of the tree house ignoring Twilights request to come back it started raining the two of them stopped “Rain seriously oh by Celestia what the hell is that” Soarin pointed to some huge storm clouds “Soarin we don’t have time for this those clouds will take hours to get rid of we don’t have time now come on” Rainbow shot off Soarin close behind her the entrance to the gorge required you to go through a building shaped like a skull but once through it you were straight at the gorge the building was shaped like a rock structure but inside it was very well set up with desks and tourist attractions.
They entered into the building Rainbow was leading the way it was spooky in their when it was abandoned it was very floral lots of flowers and surprisingly big trees Soarin stopped moving and looked over at an apple tree “Hey dash look at that” Rainbow turned and saw a tree falling to the ground quickly above Soarin she ran up to him and pushed him out of the way he tumbled to the ground the tree crushed her right arm and wing she cried out in agony “Soarin my wing I think its broken the bone is out of place and I can feel where it snapped” Gilda emerged in front of Rainbow “He cant hear you he is unconscious he hit his head when you pushed him you listen here these are the last few words you will hear before you die when I found out what you did to my family I promised to never forgive you” Rainbow looked up in confusion “What I did nothing to your family I haven’t even considered knowing you since you left the party I was going to follow you but I have new friends and I'm sure you do too I hoped we could still be friend AHHH” I have wanted to hear you cry in pain ever since I found out what you did its what kept me going revenge as a motive its sad when you think about it” Rainbow looked at Gilda desperately “Gilda please listen I don’t know what you are talking about I have not touched your family deliberately at least what happened” Gilda looked at Rainbow.
“You really don’t know do you I can see it in your eyes your not lying “ Rainbow looked at her “I promise we have been friends for years since we were at flight school and I would never deliberately hurt you” Gilda looked at Dash with sympathy she had fallen for Neo’s trick she had a flashback of her in front of a burning house on her knees crying Neo walked up to her “I just saw a Rainbow trail leading away from this house what happened” She looked at Rainbow Dash distraught by her actions Rainbow looked back “Gilda its ok I forgive you but listen if I don’t get out of here my daughter is going to die and I cant live without her” Gilda looked behind her she saw the attack party ready to kill Rainbow her team started flying towards her the executioner got a small knife threw it in the air then caught it and threw it towards Rainbow who saw it coming towards her and closed her eyes ready to feel the knife enter into her head Gilda saw time slow down she knew this was the kind of thing where you only get one chance to do a life changing thing that brings good or bad she stepped in front of the knife it entered through her body pinning her against the tree.
“Listen Dash I'm so sorry for everything I'm not going to make it make sure that Neo gets what he deserves” after she said that she put all her might into kicking the tree off of Rainbow she failed it was to heavy “I wont let you down Rainbow” she said as she squatted the knife rising up through her body as she did the pain was unbelievable her head was throbbing she tucked her talons underneath the tree and with all her power lifted the tree giving Rainbow a chance to free herself Rainbow got up “thanks G don’t worry he will pay” Soarin had just got up as well.
“Dash come on we don’t have much time” Soarin said as he rushed over to the exit of the building and too the entrance of the gorge as the two of them went back into the rain Rainbow saw Scootaloo standing beside Neo who had her at gunpoint “Rainbow, Soarin how kind of you to join us guards get them” Rainbow turned around to see Mustang charging at her with a baseball bat Mustang took a swing at Rainbow who quickly ducked under the bat as Mustang was recovering and preparing for another swing Rainbow got up and threw a left hook into Mustangs face Mustang swung again Rainbow leaned back and then foreword into Mustang knocking her to the floor Rainbow felt a sudden pain in her waist and felt herself falling another guard had rugby tackled her to the ground then another guard grabbed her left arm the pony that tackled her grabbed her right arm “Wait” said Mustang the two guards turned around confused “I'm not done with her turn her round” Rainbow was forced around by the guards Mustang raised her hooves “This is gonna hurt Dashy” Rainbow closed her eyes ready for the impact.
Mustang threw punch after punch for about three minutes non stop punches to the face the body and a few times Mustang had even kicked Rainbow in the legs The two guards dropped Rainbow giving her a chance to get some rest before finishing her off Rainbow fell into a puddle she turned her head so that she didn’t drown from that beating she had received three tooth losses a dislocated shoulder a broken ankle several feathers were missing from her left wing and her right wing which was already broken had bruises everywhere “Ok I'm done take her to Neo he has something special set up for her.
The storm was getting worse Neo had Scootaloo in his hoof he lifted her up by the throat as he did lightning struck behind them Gilda’s goons still had Dash she was helpless to help the young filly her heart was being torn from her body as he hit Scootaloo making her bleed her lifeless body was weakening after every punch Rainbow could see more light leaving her eyes bit by bit the color was weakening Rainbow was screaming at this point for him to let her go her cheeks were dampening not because of the storm but because of her tears Soarin who was also being held by Gilda’s goons saw the impact this was having on Rainbow.
Rainbows vision was blurring she was drifting out of consciousness the pain was becoming to much but she couldn’t give up she could actually see Ponyville she couldn’t give up she felt herself falling and her eyes closing but still kept flapping her wings she couldn’t keep going she was about to lose consciousness the pain in her wing was unbelievable now no pony can fly with a broken wing it was impossible because the bone was snapped and out of place she once again felt herself falling but couldn’t give up she was so close to Ponyville she took one huge flap of her wings her right wing which was broken felt a huge pain the bone had moved out of place and had forced its way through the skin and was sticking out of the wing itself Rainbow was about 50 meters from the hospital then she just felt her body fall she was going so fast that she landed outside the hospital Scootaloo landed on her back rolling once but Rainbow rolled out of control she slid across the mud that was previously grass the rain had destroyed everything and hit a rock which acted like a ramp and shot her body into the glass doors she was going so fast that she shot through the glass doors smashing them the only thing to stop her was the front desk and that stopped her with a sickening thud.
Twilight who was talking to spitfire saw Scootaloo on the floor and ran over to her Twilight picked her up and took her over to the hospital where she saw the smashed doors and Rainbows lifeless body where nurses were treating her Twilight felt dead inside everything slowed down for her she saw doctors and nurses running up to Rainbow who looked more than dead Twilight took Scootaloo inside and dropped her off in a chair and told spitfire to “get her some help” as twilight said that she saw Rainbow being carried away on a stretcher she tried to follow but one of the doctors said to her “Sorry no ponies allowed beyond this point and he closed the doors on her she looked over to her friend who had both eyes closed and her mouth partially open she saw them speed up suddenly they weren’t walking anymore they were sprinting they took her into a room and started pushing down on her chest through all the commotion twilight heard one of them shout “We are losing her” Twilights heart stopped she charged through the door that the stallion had just closed on her and sprinted for Rainbow’s room she smashed into it and ran up to Rainbow the doctors tried to hold her back but she made it over to her friends ear and whispered “Told you that you would be a good mum” then she was pulled away.
Spitfire heard Scootaloo talking in her sleep she leant over to hear the little filly “Rainbow I just want you to know that you were the best mum a filly could wish for I love you” and at that point Scootaloo’s head dropped and she fell to the floor.
"Help somepony please help" Spitfire screamed into the hospital Scootaloo was fading away and needed help right now three mares came rushing out and put Scootaloo onto a stretcher and rushed her off to get help Spitfire watched as they carried her away "this is so tragic" Spitfire thought to herself a blue pegasus was walking through the entrace behind her he went to talk but didnt have it in him he collapsed on the floor Spitfire turned around "Oh no Soarin" he had a huge chunk missing in his chest it was revealing his rib cages which were all mangled three mares sprinted passed Spitfire and put Soarin on the stretcher and rushed him off Spitfire sat down where Scootaloo was before and put her hooves up to her face and started crying she thought to herself "Yesterday everything was perfect and look at everything now this is all so tragic" Rainbow Dash was fading away her breaths were weakening Scootaloo was still breathing steadily Soarin was injured but he was'nt to bad he was coping they were currently bandaging him up.
A few days passed Scootaloo was still unconcious Rainbow had gained conciousness but was never going to fly again and Soarin had been let out of the hospital the day before but he refused to go he sat by Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo the whole time he requested that Scootaloo got moved in with Rainbow Dash to keep her happy.
Rainbow looked down at Scootaloo and sang to her "I'll sing it one last time for you you've been the only thing that's right In all I've done And I can barely look at you But every single time I do I know we'll make it anywhere
(Authors note) I have greatly struggled to write this story due to personal issues this story is a dark one i know but i hope i ended it happily for you.
