CH 2 Celestia

*Madness P.O.V*

I put the amulet & felt the power coursing through my whole body. Then I closed my eyes, & went into sleep-like state. I found Luna in a void of dreams, then a crazy idea went through my head. So I made myself invisible, flew up to her, & toss her through a portal. She looked around, & said "who's there?"

I created mirrors around her, made myself look like Nightmare Moon, & started to appear in the mirror, randomly switch between mirrors in between sentences I said, in Nightmare Moon's voice, "Did you think I was destroyed, when the ponies used the Elements of Harmony on me. Did you think you were free from me. You can't get rid of me, no one can. I'm part of you, & always will be." As I was talking, Luna kept repeating no.

*Madness P.O.V* (inside Luna's body)

As I was tormenting Luna, I took control of her body. I got up & tried to walk. "This is harder than I thought." I thought, as I moved her legs. Then I crashed into the wall. "Ouch, she'll feel that when she wakes up."

When I finally got the hang of moving her body, she was curled in a ball, inside her mind, repeating she's gone, Nightmare Moon is gone. I walked into the hallway, & opened a door at the very end of the hall. "What luck, found the room on my first try." I whispered, to myself. In the bed was Princess Celestia, fast asleep.

I walked up to her, & raised a hoof above her head. Then she woke up, & said, half asleep, "Luna, what's the matter?" When she saw my hoof above her head, her eyes widened. "Luna, what are you doing?" Then i brought my hoof down on her head, making her go back to sleep. I went to the side of the bed & levitated Celestia onto my back. I teleported back to my factory, lowered her to the ground, bound, gagged & blindfolded her, then flew back to Canterlot . When I got to the castle, I went to Luna bedroom, got into her bed, & got out of her body.

*Celestia P.O.V*

I woke up & when I tried to rub my head, but she couldn't, she opened her eyes & saw sunlight, through a blindfold. Then I heard someone say, "Well, the princess finally wakes, I thought I killed you. Hold on, let me take this blindfold off. " After the blindfold was taken off, I blinked to adjust eyes to the light, & when I could see clearly, I saw Madness standing above me with two guards, at his side.

I tried to say, "I thought you were in jail.", but it came out muffled. Madness took out the gag & untied her. I stood up, stretched out my wings, then I said, "Uh thanks, as I was trying to say, I thought you were in jail." Madness said, "Walk with me. Oh don't try to escape, I can have you by the throat before you can blink."

I said, while thinking a way to escape, "Ok, but only you & not with your guards."

Madness shrugged his shoulders, then said, "Ok." Then he turned to his guards & said, "Go get some rest." Then he back to me & said, "Shall we?"

As Madness & I were walking, I saw pegasi, ponies, & unicorns cowering, some were bowing, but to me or Madness, I couldn't tell.

(a conversation between Madness & Celestia)

After a minute or two, Madness said, "A copy was sent in my place. Yes, I killed ponies, but my intentions are pure."

"How is killing pure?"

"I kill the weak & the wicked, until the strong & good are left,"

"What did you mean by you killed me?"

"When I knocked you out."

"Luna knocked me out, not you."

"I was controlling Luna's body."

"Why did you kidnap me?"

"Oh Celestia, I thought you would realize it, I'm a fugitive. If I came to talk with you, I would be thrown into jail. Don't worry, I'll send you back, after our talk."

"You say your intentions are pure, but you eat ponies."

"Everyone has cravings, mine is meat, & I don't just eat ponies, I eat all kinds of meat, but we are getting off track. I wanted to ask you to join me.

I stopped, surprised, then I looked at Madness. My surprised turned to anger, then I said, "Why did you think I would help you kill my subjects, I sworn to protect."

Madness laughed & said, "You're sworn to protect the kingdom, not the subjects. Think about this, what happens if you die, or disappear?"

I said, without thinking, "Luna will take over for me."

Madness said, "Hmm that's interesting. Oh don't tell anypony about this conversation, or I will have to use this. Then the Alicorn Amulet appeared around his neck. My eyes widened, then I said "Take it off, it will..." Madness interrupted me, while making it disappear, "Make me more evil with each use. I know how it works."

"Oh Madness, I was wondering how the sun was raised, when I was unconscious."

"Oh, I raised it. I knew Discord when he was young. Bye" Before I could say anything, Madness teleported me into the throne room.

Ch 3 The Meeting

*Madness's P.O.V*

After Celestia left, I signaled the 2 guards, then they open the doors, they were guarding. After the doors were fully open, the guards led 3 fillies to me. The fillies were Applebloom, Sweetie Belle, & Scootaloo.

When they were right front of me, I said, in a kind voice & as if reading their minds, "No, they don't hate you, I simply controlled them to bring you 3 here."

Applebloom went to step towards me, but one of the guard put it's weapon in front of her. I looked at the guard & nodded. the guard removed the weapon from Applebloom's way. Applebloom hesitated for a second, then stepped up, & said, "Why did you make them bring us?"

I smiled, friendly but unsettling, then said, "To make a bargain with them."

*3rd Person P.O.V, at Twilight's Castle*

Twilight met her friends in their throne room. When she looked around, at her friends, she noticed that they all looked tired. Then she said, "Let me guess, nightmares woke you up, & kept you up?"

They all, except Applejack & Rarity, nodded. Then Applejack asked, "Has anyone seen Applebloom? I can' t find her anywhere."

Rarity said, a few minutes after Applejack, "Have any of you seen Sweetie Belle. I can't find her as well."

Rainbow Dash said, a few seconds after Rarity, "I can't find Scootaloo."

Twilight tried to see a connection, but couldn't. Then she asked Applejack, "What makes you think they are missing?"

Applejack looked around, then said, with a sigh, "I had a dream about Madness, & he told me that I have to meet him to get Applebloom."

Rarity said, "It was same for me, but it was for Sweetie Belle."

Rainbow Dash stood up & said, " Well, we know Madness, somehow, kidnapped Applebloom, Scootaloo, & Sweetie Belle, but does anyone know where he wants to meet. I mean he can't kidnap ponies from jail."

Then there was a blinding flash of light, & when it was gone, there, standing in the the center of the circle, was Madness. He said, while he stretched out his wings, "Well, this looks like a good spot to meet don't you agree, Dashie."

*Twilight's P.O.V*

I said, while watching his every move, "Madness, what are you doing here, how did you escape jail, where are they..." then Madness' horn starts to glow, & my mouth would not work. It felt like someone stitched it shut.

Madness said, as he released my mouth, "Enough with the questions. If you said all of your questions, we would be here all day." I moved my jaw, but I let him continue. Madness sat down & said, "I'm here to talk to all of you, a copy was sent in my place, & they are safe, I will return them after our little talk, so they can continue on their crusade."

I said, right after he was done, "Give me one reason why I shouldn't just call in the guards right now."

Madness relaxed onto his back, and said, "Cause you won't, until you know what I have to offer."

I sat back in my chair & folded my hooves. I looked around. Applejack was keeping Rainbow Dash from grabbing him, & dragging him to the guards, Pinkie Pie was blowing up balloons, & Rarity & Fluttershy were just watching him.

Madness sat up, looked around, then took a deep breath. Then he said, "I know all of you are mad at me for killing, kidnapping, torturing, & stealing Princess Celestia, but, you may not believe me, it was for a good intention. I was trying to rid the worlds of the weak. What I offer, is still the same, help me get rid of the weak."

I thought about his offer, then something hit me about what he said. I said, questioningly, "What do you mean worlds?" Madness muttered something under his breath, then I said, "You were at Canterlot High."

Madness looked at me, then said, "Yes I was there, for Sunset Shimmer, & for the sirens. I know what you're thinking. The reason why you didn't see me, is because I was hiding in the shadows the whole time. Oh, thank you for making the portal be open forever."

I sat there, shocked. That was what I was just thinking. I collected myself, then said, "What do you mean forever, I can remove the book, & the portal will close. Our answer for you offer is still the same, no.

Madness stood up & said, "Well, this was an interesting talk, & don't worry, the crusaders will be back tomorrow morning. Now, if you're done, I need to grab something." Then he walked to the library. When I realized what he was doing, I jumped off my chair & ran after him, with Spike following me. I got there in time to see Madness turning & saying, "I will be waiting for your answer." then disappearing, with the portal.

Ch 4 Spike's Offer

*Madness P.O.V, at The Factory *

I walked to my fridge, & just before I went in, I checked the time. It was 8:39 P.M. I muttered, to myself, "It's dinnertime, & I think I'm going to have some spaghetti."

I walked into my fridge, & grabbed a track of intestines, some eyes, & some tomatoes. Then I shut my fridge closed, as I was walking to the cafeteria. I cut the intestines into noodles, ground the eyes into meatballs, & squished the tomatoes for the sauce. A half hour later, my dinner was ready. I took my dinner to my usual spot. When I was finished, I cleaned up my mess, & went to make the prisoners their dinner.

After I was done, a pony came in, & took the dinner. He wore a dark green hat, & a pure white coat, all you could see was his eyes. They were friendly, but sad, pale green. The prisoners named him Feeder, cause they only seen him around dinner. Feeder gave each pony, a glass of water, an apple, & a piece of bread

After that was done, I went to my room, ponies would have thought it was for a lunatic, padded walls & a bed. I walked into my room, closed the door & locked it, then went to sleep. As I was looking at dreams, I saw Luna, watching other ponies' dreams. So, I avoided her, & went back to looking into dream. After what seemed like an hour, one dream caught my attention, I recognized it as Spikes. He was dreaming of him and Rarity, which gave me an idea. So I woke up & sent him a letter.

*Spike P.O.V, at Twilight's castle, few minutes ago*

I was dreaming of Rarity, when I was woken up by a letter, addressed to me. Not to disturb Twilight, I quietly walked out of the room. After I closed the door, I read the letter:

Dear Spike,

I have an offer for you. Meet me at the park, bring me 3 of Twilight's books of magic, & I might help you get Rarity.

Madness

P.S. The time for the meeting is at midnight tonight. Don't tell anypony about this meeting, or I kill whoever knows about the meeting, & Rarity.

I looked at the clock, it was 11:52. So, I ran to the library, grabbed 3 magic books, & ran to the park.

*At the park*

I was pacing back & forth, waiting for Madness to show up. When I looked at the clock, it was 12:05. I muttered, to myself, "Where is he?" Then a creepy fog rolled in, & covered the ground. I looked around, as I said, terrified, "Who's there? Madness, is that you?

Then a voice, quiet as the wind, said, behind me, "Madness isn't here, but you may call me Shadow." I whipped around to see, no one. I went to grabbed the books, to only grab a note that read "Thank You, Your reward will come in the morning"

I shook my head, then went home. The next morning, Madness' promises came true, I woke to Rarity screaming & Sweetie Belle bursting into the room, gasping for breath. I jumped out of my bed, & said, "Sweetie Belle, what's wrong?"

Between gasps of breath, Sweetie Belle said, "It's Rarity, come quickly."

Sweetie Belle & I ran to Rarity's house. We burst in, & saw Rarity pacing back & forth. I ran up to Rarity, & said, "Rarity, what's wrong, are you hurt?

Rarity shook her head & said, "No, but all my fabric, gems, thread, & dresses are gone."

I said, without thinking,"Don't worry, Rarity, I will find your stuff." Then I was grabbed & hugged by Rarity, while she kept saying thank you. After she was done, Sweetie Belle & I walked out the door.

Once we were outside, Sweetie Belle said, "Well, where do you think they are?"

I shugged my shoulders, then said, "I don't know where they are, but I think I know who might know. You would know him, or her. I kinda didn't the pony, or what creature it is. Well, bye."

Sweetie Belle, looking confused, said, "Okay, bye."

Then I ran off to the castle. Once I got in, I grabbed a piece of parchment, a pen (OR WHATEVER CALL THE WRITING UTENSIL), & ink, then written a message to Madness, saying, "Can you give me a clue on where Rarity's stuff is, & I'll bring more books." A few minutes later, I received a message from Madness. It read:

Meet me at The Factory, books for answers, now & later. Madness

*At The Factory*

When I there, carrying 3 books with me, I saw Madness waiting, outside, for me. He smiled, when he saw me, then said, "How ya doin Spike? So, did ya bring some magic books?" I nodded, then gave him the books. After he gave the books to one of his guards, he turned, towards me, & said, "Well deal's a deal, here's the stuff" As he was giving me Rarity's stuff, he said, "Just say you found them in a safehouse, in the everfree forest."

I was about to leave, when I remembered something. I turned to Madness, & said, "The creature that met me last night said it's name was Shadow. Who's Shadow?"

Madness turned his head, & said, "Hmm, oh, he's my assistant. Now run along."

I said, after think how to put it, "How do I meet with him, cause me disappearing during the day will make them suspicious."

Madness said, as he walked away, "Just be in the park at midnight."

*Outside Rarity's house*

I was about to knock on the door, when Rarity ripped open the door. When she saw me, & her stuff, she gasped, then levitated me into the air, & spun me. As she was doing that she said, "Where did you find my stuff?"

I thought, before answering her, "Not again, well, at least Rarity's know when to do it, unlike Twilight. Then I said, "In a safehouse, inside the everfree forest." As she said her thanks, she kissed me on the cheek. Then I walked home feeling like I was floating on a cloud.

*Madness P.O.V*

I was in my office, looking through the books Spike gave me, then I knock on the door. I opened the door, to find a changling at my door. I said, "What is it, & hurry up, I'm busy."

The changling, slowly, walked into the room, then said, "Sir, we, uh hit a little snag"

I stopped what I was doing & closed the book, the changling flinched for each book, then I said, "A little snag, you say, what is this little snag?"

The changling backed up a little, then said, "We kinda misplaced the book."

I sighed, turned the chair, then said, "Leave."

The changling was stunned, while he said, "Uh, sir?"

I turned the chair, then said, "I said leave." Then the changling went flying into the fridge, a sickening crack came from his head. He slumped onto the ground, dead, blood pooling around his body. I called for a guard, when the guard arrived, I said, "You know what to do."

Ch 5 Plan

*Madness P.O.V*

This went on for 2 months, Spike giving Shadow 3 magic books for help, me taking note on spells, his workers working on the portal, & one of them getting killed every week or so. I grew more & more impatient everyday, until I couldn't take it anymore, then I called Shadow in.

Shadow came from the shadows, behind Madness, then said, "What do you want me to do, sir?"4

I turned toward him, & said, "I want you to pick up some very special guest for me."

*Spike's P.O.V*

I was grabbing books off the shelves for tonight, to give to Shadow, then I heard Twilight say, "Spike, What are you doing?"

I hid the book, that I was holding, behind my back, then said, "Oh nothing, just looking at the books."

Twilight walked up to me, until she was around 6 inches away from me, then said, "Did you know that books have been going missing in the last 2 months?

I lean onto the bookshelf, & placed the book back, then said, trying to sound innocent, "Really, I didn't know that."

Twilight went to a seat, sat down, then said, "So, to catch the thief, I'm going to watch the library tonight."

I gulped, quiet enough for Twilight not to hear, then said, "Oh, I'm just remembered that I need to do something." Then I walked out of the library.

That night, I met Shadow, Shadow looked at me, saw I was empty handed, then said, "Where are the books?"

I said, while scratching the back of my head, "Well, you see Shadow, I need your help. Twilight is guarding the books.

Shadow sighed, then said, "You want me to knock her out, fine, but the payment is double."

I lead Shadow to Twilight's library, while listening to a strange clanking noise. Once we got there, I opened the door, a crack, & urged him to look in. There, on the other side of the library, was Twilight, watching the door. I went to look at Shadow, but he was gone. I looked around for him, then I saw a dark shadow slithering towards Twilight. The shadow went behind Twilight, then I realized that the shadow was Shadow. He started rising out of the ground, holding a needle, & jabbed it into her neck. I watched, in horror, as Twilight gasped, her eyes grew wide, then she collapsed onto the floor. I burst into the room, & said, while running to Twilight's side, "Oh my god, Twilight."

Shadow came up behind me, & said, "Oh relax, she's just sleeping. She'll be asleep for a few hours, now go get the books."

I stood up & said, "No."

Shadow said, as it looked like shadows were growing around him, "No, did you just tell me no?"

I backed up a little, then I said, "I said no. I wanted you to knock her out, not drug her & risk an overdose."

Shadow rushed towards me, even faster than Rainbow Dash running, grabbed me by the throat, & held me against a bookshelf. I looked down, & tried to scream. The leg, that was holding him was metal. When the moon shown it's light, I saw what Shadow looks like. He had black skin, red snake-like eyes, metal dragon wings, both front leg were made of metal, & with a closer look, the skin was covered with scale. He squeezed my neck a little tighter, then he said, "No one breaks a deal with me."

I said, while trying to breath, "What are you?"

Shadow threw me, I landed near Twilight, then he said, "A hybrid. Half pony, half dragon, & an outcast for both, Now get those books, or I will kill Twilight

After getting my breath, I ran to get the books.

*3rd P.O.V, at Twilight's castle*

As spike was getting the books, Shadow sent a message to Madness saying, "It's all going as to planned, & it's here"

*Crystal empire*

Cadence woke up to a loud thump. She got out of bed, ran to the other side & found Shining Armor, knocked out cold. Then she turned around to see Twilight right behind her. She sighed & said, "Twilight, thank goodness, help me with... Uh Twilight, what's wrong with your eyes?" Then Twilight brought down a hoof onto her head, knocking her out instantly.

Shadow appeared right beside Twilight. He whistled, said, "wow remind me not to get on you side." Then he picked up Cadence & threw her onto his back.

*Canterlot*

Celestia woke up to Luna standing over her. She sighed, then said, "Really Madness, you don't have to control Luna. A message would do. Fine, I'm coming."

As she was about to leave the room, she heard Luna say, "Bring her along."

Celestia turned around & said, "What did you say, Madness?"

Luna said, "Bring Luna along." Then Luna collapsed.

Celestia bowed down & levitated Luna onto her back. She walked out the front door, & saw a carriage, with Cadence inside, being pulled by a dark figure. She walked up, & said, "I take it you're here to take us to Madness."

He nodded, then said, "My name is Shadow, & yes, I'm here to take you, Luna, & Cadence to Madness." Then he opened the door, & helped Celestia with Luna. Then Celestia got in & closed the door behind her.

*The Factory*

A half hour later, they were at The Factory. As soon as they landed, Cadence woke up screaming, which woke up Luna, "Something is wrong with Twilight. Uh where are we?"

Then a voice, came from outside, said, "You're at The Factory, & be on your best behavior, I don't want to have to clean my self again."

Cadence climbed out of the carriage, walked up to Shadow, then said, "Who do you think you are, talking to me like that. Do you know who I am?"

Shadow turned to Cadence, & said, sarcastically, "You're Princess Mi Amore Cadenza, but you prefer Cadence. You rule & married with Shining Armor, Twilight's big brother. Now did I forget something? Oh yes, a little more than a half hour ago, you were knocked out by Twilight."

Just before Cadence & Shadow got into a fight, Madness came out & said, "Shadow that's enough, please excuse him. He hated ponies ever since his mom ripped off his front legs & wings. Come, follow me."

The three princesses followed him into the factory. a few minute later, Celestia walked to Madness' side & whispered, in his ear, "why did you want Cadence & Luna here?"

Madness said, he looked at Celestia without turning his head, "I thought you were smart, you all are my prisoners."

Celestia stopped to let it sink in, then turned around & said, while running, "Come on, we got to go."

Ch 6 Kidnap

*3rd P.O.V*

Luna grabbed Celestia, & said, "What's wrong, why do we need to leave?"

Celestia turned around, & said, "It 's a trap. He wanted the three of us to be captured, then he will go after Twilight."

Luna & Cadence stood there, in shock, then ran after Celestia. Every door passed, shut it self & locked. They saw the exit, at the end of the hall, then Celestia, abruptly, stopped. Luna & Cadence look over her shoulder, & saw why she stopped, Madness was standing in front of them

*Madness P.O.V*

I said, as walked up to Celestia, "Like I said, I can have you by the throat before you can run. This can go two way. One, all of you come with me peacefully, or two, I drag you there."

Celestia said, in a stern voice, "Let us go"

I sighed, then mumbled, to myself, "It's always option two." Then I said, "Well, I guess it's two." I grabbed a needle out of my coat's pocket, & went to jam it into Celestia's neck, but she used her magic to fight against the needle. I said, while strain pushing the needle closer, "Why does you struggle? You know I'm stronger than you.

Celestia said, while a sweat ran down her forehead, "I will not let you hurt Twilight."

Madness shook my head, then said, "Wow, you chose one princess over two others. Are you going to let Shadow kill the other princesses for Twilight."

Then Shadow landed beside me holding Luna & Cadence, by the throats. Luna said, in a strained voice , "Help...us...Celestia."

I said, as I drawn Celestia's attention to me, "Now slowly release the needle & no funny business, or the girls die." Then Celestia bowed her head a little, & I felt the resistance weaken. I smiled, as the needle went into the neck & dumps it's contents in.

After Celestia was on the ground, asleep, Shadow said, while watching the two princesses squirm, "Do I do it now, or wait."

I turned to Shadow & said, "Yeah, you might as well. We are on a tight schedule."

He smiled & squeezed their necks, until they passed out, then let go. I picked up Celestia, & place her on my back, thinking she was knocked out, until she said, "Please Madness, please take off the amulet. Can't you see what it's doing to you?"

I said, as I looked at Celestia through the corner of my eye, "Oh, Celestia, I thought you were knocked out. The amulet is making me more powerful. Now what would make me give up power?"

Celestia barely lifted her head, opened her eyes halfway, then said, "Humanity." Then she slumped back down.

I chuckled at the thought of humanity, then said, "Shadow, you take Luna, & Brain, you take Cadence. Brain, where is he, Brain Dead."

A pony came out of the door on my left, the pony had green skin , black hair with purple tips, a smile cut into his skin, his right ear was clipped, his left ear was pierced,& his eyes were black with purple iris. He ran up to me.

I said, "Brain Dead, you were supposed to be a guard." I sighed, "Never mind, you will take Cadence. Oh , & don't kill her. You can't have her brain."

Brain sighed, then picked Cadence up. Then I lead them to a chamber, far from the other prisoners, Brain & Shadow placed Luna & Cadence on the floor, then helped me put Celestia into her chair. I held her up, while Brain did the right & Shadow did the left. After they were done with Celestia, they did Luna, then Cadence. After we were done, a pony, smaller than the others, came bursting in & said, "Sir, portal is open."

I turned around, & said, "Good. Now, run home, don't you have work to have finished. Oh, remember not to talk about this to any pony."

The pony said, "I won't." Then left.

I turned to Brain, then said, "Come on Brain, we have worked to do" Then Brain followed me through the portal.

Ch 8 Twilight

*Twilight P.O.V*

I woke up to someone shaking me & yelling, "Twilight". I opened my eyes, but everything was blurry. After a few second, everything was coming into focus. Standing above me was my brother, Shining Armor.

He said, as he helped me up, "Oh, thank goodness, I've been trying to wake you for an hour." I looked around to see that I was in Cadence's & my brother's room.

I tried to get up, but collapsed. After a few tries, I finally managed to stand up. I turned to Shining Armor & said, "What happened, & how did I get here?"

He shrugged & said, "I don't know. I woke up to a strange noise. So, when I was about to check it out, I was knocked out. When I came to, you were here & Cadence was gone."

I walked to the window. Then I gasped, the sun & moon were sharing the same sky. I turned to Shining Armor & said, while I was preparing to jump out the window, "I must go, I have a feeling that something bad has happened to Celestia & Luna. I'm sorry this wasn't a good visit, but it was nice to see you." Then I jumped out the window, opened my wings, & flew to Canterlot.

When I got to Canterlot, I raced to the castle. After a few minutes of running, I was stopped by the guards. One of the guard said, as they bowed, "Princess Twilight, we must ask you to come with us."

I sighed, then said, "Fine, but lets make this quick, I need to check on the princesses." I followed the guards to an empty shop. they stopped at the door and let me go in first.

Once I was inside, the guards walked in, closed the door, then changed into changlings. Then Madness came out of the shadows & said, "I'm afraid you are not going to check on the princesses anytime soon." I looked around for an opening. When I saw none, I turned around and blasted the door off it's hinges. Then I took off, towards my castle.

*3rd P.O.V, 5 minutes later*

Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash & Rarity got off the train, in Canterlot. When they saw the sky, they knew something was wrong. As they were walking to the castle, they saw guards putting up signs. Fluttershy walked up to one of the guards, & said, "Um, excuse me, I was wondering who the posters is for."

The guard turned around & said, "The posters are for Twilight Sparkle. She's wanted for questioning of the other princesses' disappearance." Then the guard walked away.

All 5 walked up to the poster to see if the guard was telling the truth. Sure enough, the poster was of Twilight. They all walked back to the train, in silence, with question filling their heads.

*Twilight P.O.V*

When I got to my castle, I rushed into the library, to find a map of Equestria, then I heard vibration, followed by a thump. I turned around to a book had fallen the a shelf. I was over it, looked at the book, then I realized that it was the book that was needed to keep the portal open. I opened the book to find a letter was written.

Dear Twilight,

Madness has kidnapped all the students & teachers, put Celestia & Luna into an old spell dream, & he's capturing us now. He said something about a factory & Spike

Sunset Shimmer

I closed the book, then called for Spike. He came to the library, & said, "What do you need, Twilight?"

I said, "Do you know where Madness' factory is?"

He gulped, then said, "W-What do you mean?"

I showed him the book & said, "Sunset Shimmer & our friend from Canterlot High have been kidnapped, & Madness mentioned you."

His eyes widen, then he said, "Has Rarity been captured as well?"

I nodded, & said, " Yes, now do you know where Madness' Factory is?"

He looked straight into my eyes, & said, with determination, "Yes, I'll show you."

Ch 9 Into The Factory

*Twilight P.O.V*

Once we go there, Spike turned to me & said, "Stay here." Then walked up to the guards, talked to them for a few minute, then they gave him something & he walked back to me, head down.

I walked to him & said, "What happened? What did they say?"

He said, as he showed what he was holding, "I'm sorry for this, but it's the only way to get in. You have to eat this."

When I saw he was holding a muffin, I pick it up, spun it around, then I said, "What do you mean, you're sorry? Is this going to kill me?"

Spike looked up, horrified, & said, "No, it won't, I just meant, I 'm sorry for everything I've done."

I watched him, suspiciously, as I ate the muffin. Then I saw the world was spinning, & 2 - 3 Spikes lowered their heads. I tried to take a step, but my legs buckled. The last thing I heard was Spike saying, "There, I did it, now help me with her."

*Spike P.O.V*

The guards walked over to Twilight, one of them kicked her in the back, I flinched as I watch the kick connect, Then I said, "Why would you even do that?"

The guard said, "I had to check if she was faking." Then they grabbed her front legs, & dragged her through the gate.

I followed, whispering, to myself, "It's all my fault. If I never met Shadow, we would never be in this mess" Before I knew it, the guards stopped right in front of Madness's office. The door swung open & sitting on the other side of the desk was Madness.

The guards threw Twilight into the room, I was about to scream, until Madness, did the weirdest thing ever, his horn glowed & an amulet appeared around his neck, Twilight stopped in mid air & was gently laid on the ground, then the two guards floated off the ground, then smashed their heads together, the noise was so loud, I'm pretty sure everyone heard it. Another guard came the door & said, "I'll get the pan." Then left

Madness levitated Twilight into a chair & I sat in the chair next to her. Once I was sitting, Madness said, "So what can I do for you bringing me Twilight? Oh sorry about the guards. I have a strict rule here, no violence between workers." So they try to find gaps, so they can take their anger out on someone."

I looked at Twilight, then back at Madness, then said, "We want you to release everypony here, even the princesses, & I know Twilight would want her books & our friends. Oh, what did the guard mean by pan"

Madness leaned in his chair & said, "A worker here eats brains, So, when we kill, we give him the brain. The friends is easy, the rest will take time. Oh, lets wake up Twilight, so It will be much easier. As soon as he said that, Twilight groaned & started to movie. After Twilight was fully awake. Madness filled her in with the wants "So, is that accurate."

Twilight said, "yes"

Then the door opened & Shadow came in. Madness looked at Twilight & said, "Spike has already met Shadow. He going to show you to your cells."

When Madness called his name, Shadow tilted head slightly, as if to nod. Twilight got out of the chair, then I jumped out of the chair & followed Twilight out the door.

*Madness P.O.V*

As soon as they left, I heard a knock. I opened the door to see Brain Dead, followed by two guard. I said, "Did you find her."

Brain said, with a hint of confusion to his voice, "Yes. Well, actually, she came to us."

I grinned, as I said "Good. Oh, before I forget, your dinner is on the stove. Oh, guards, take her to Twilight's cell when Feeder is done with handing out dinner." After Brain & the guards left, I chuckled to myself & said, "All pieces are here, now it's time to play."

Ch 10 Cells

*Twilight's P.O.V*

We followed Shadow into the cells, when they reached the cells, my eyes widened in fear & shocked, there 3 floors of cells. when walked by each cell, I couldn't help, but look into the cell, each cell was the same, ponies, pegasi, & unicorns alike, hiding in the back, cowering in fear. I don't realize Shadow had stop until I ran into him. He turned around, glared at me, & said, as he was opening the cell door, "This is where you are going to be staying, have fun being with your broken friends."

As I was walking in, I said, "What do you mean broken?" He just chuckled, slammed the door shut

Then we heard a voice say, "Spike, Twilight, is that you?

We turned around to see Sunset, slowly, walking to them, I walked up to Sunset & giving her a hug, then said, "I got your message, are you hurt & where are the others?"

Sunset said, with a confused look her face, "Hold on, what message, I didn't send you a message. Madness must have sent it, in order to make you come here. Come, let me show how our friends are holding up."

I followed Sunset to our friend, Rainbow Dash & Applejack were the only one standing. When Pinkie Pie saw me, her hair poofed back up, but didn't even try to stand. Rainbow Dash said, "Hey Twilight, Spike, it so good to see you. You weren't kidding about being a dragon, Spike. We love to come see you, but Madness put a spell on a legs, so that we can't move. Only Applejack & I are able to stand. Sunset can move, but slowly.

Then I heard somepony coming, I turned to the the gate. A pony, wearing a dark green hat & a pure white coat with a name tag that read Feeder, was standing there, holding a large tray that had 8 pieces of bread, & 8 apples. He placed the tray down, looked both ways, then reached into the coat's pocket & pulled out a book. He placed the book on the tray & slid it under the door, then he said, in a whispery voice, "An apple & a piece of bread for each. I'll come back for the tray & the book, when I bring the water. The book has a spell, that should relieve the pain."

As he started to leave, I asked him, " Why did you bring me this book?"

He turned around & said, "I don't like seeing anyone in pain. Oh, in case you were wondering why I am working here, I Have no choice."

A few minutes after Feeder left, 2 guard dragging a pony between them. The pony wasn't even moving, but I could tell the pony was still alive. The guards walked up to the door, & said, before opening the door, "Get to the back wall." I moved closer to my friends, then they threw the pony into the cell.

The pony got up turned to the gate, & yelled at the guards, "Hey, I want my shades, If you don't bring them to me, I swear, when I get out, you will be sorry."

Spike walked up to the pony & said, "Hi, my name is Spike. What's your name?

The pony turn around, then Spike took a few steps. Her left eye was missing, & her right eye was deep ocean blue, but the glare she did scared me the most. She said, as she turned her whole body around, "What does it matter to you?"

I walked in front of Spike, to get her attention, & said, "He was just asking your name. Anyway, I'm Twilight Sparkle, this is Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, & Sunset Shimmer."

Then a loud buzzer went off, I turned around to see Fluttershy squeezing her eyes shut, & covering her ears & Pinkie Pie's hair fall back down. I turned to the bars, then I saw guards going into random cells, & pulling out one or two ponies. The guards dragged the ponies the rust covered double doors. One pony was dragged by my cell, he looked at me, through teary eyes, & said, "Help me, please." All I could do was watch as the pony was dragged through the doors. Then the buzzer went off again.

I turned to my friends, Fluttershy opened her eyes, uncovered her ears, & said, on the verge of tears, as she looked at me,"Is it over?"

The pony walked up to Fluttershy, laid down next to her & scooted her closer, then said, in a soothing voice, "Don't worry, it's over, This one was the last. Tomorrow, I will shut this factory down."

As she was calming Fluttershy down, I got a good look at her. She had rust red skin, messy brown hair & her cutie mark was of 3 gears. I said, "What was that?"

Applejack said, bowing her head down a little, "The guards call it the purge. Every day they take a bunch of ponies, drag them through the doors, & aren't heard from again. So you might want to do the spell, Feeder might be coming back with the water.

I opened the book, found the spell & preformed it. Rainbow Dash was the first one to try walking. then the rest got up & started walking. The pony got up & said, "After seeing your reaction to this purge. I decided to trust you. Sorry for my outbreak earlier, my name is Ivy Winds, but you may call me Ivy."

Then a guard walked up to the bars & said, "Twilight, Madness wants to speak to you."

I said to my friends, before following the guard, "Just eat up, & Ivy, just have my food." Then I followed the guard towards Madness.

Ch 11 Princesses

* Twilight P.O.V*

Once we got to Madness' office, the guard walked to the door, raised a hoof, nervously, & knocked on the door. A voice said, "Come in Twilight."

The guard opened the door, then shut it as soon I was in the office. Madness was sitting at his desk, with paperwork stack high. I walked up & said, "What do you want Madness, why didn't you let my friends come?"

Madness looked up & said, as continuing with paper work, "Well, sit down. How was your first purge."

I looked at him & said, "How are you able to do that, randomly pick a pony from a cell & send them to get killed."

He leaned back as he used magic to do the paperwork, then he said, "The ponies aren't selected randomly, the ponies are the ones that are here longer."

Then a piercing cry came from the hall. It said, "Luna." I jumped out of the seat & said, as I glared at him "That sounded like Celestia. What are you doing to Celestia?"

Madness got out of his chair, opened the door, & said, before closing the door, "Hold on, I need to talk to someone about the rules."

After 3 min, I walked out the door & started to follow Madness. For what seemed like an hour, he winded through the corridor. When he entered a room, I heard him yell, "How many times do I have to tell you, gag them before you work."

I peeked around the corner, there was Madness talking to a pony, no bigger than a foal. They were standing in front of the other princesses, Celestia in the middle, Luna on her left, & Cadence on her right. The pony said, "Sorry sir, I do better, I promise."

The voice sounded familiar. Madness said, as he walked towards me, "Well, you better. Come on, lets give the princesses a break. So how is your sister, has she notice you disappearing?"

I hid in the shadows, as they passed. The pony said, "No, she's been busy to notice."

As soon as I couldn't hear them, I came out of the shadows, & walked to the princesses. As I studied them, I noticed that they had earmuffs, & plastic blindfolds on. I looked around the room, to see if anyone was around, then I said, Celestia, can you hear me, Luna, Cadence, can anyone of you hear me?"

A voice said, from behind me, "They can't hear you, the earmuff cancel all outside noise, except their voice."

I turned around to see Madness standing the doorway. I walked up to him & said, "Let them go."

Madness said, as casually reading off the menu, "I can't, If I did that, they would hurt everyone in the factory, including themselves. You want to something funny, Celestia & Luna don't care about you, only Cadence does. Celestia is scared about Luna turning evil again & killing everyone, Luna is scared of Celestia banishing her again, & Cadence is scared of you turning evil. Now lets go back to your cell

I said, defiantly, "I'm not going anywhere until you free Celes-" then I was back in my cell "-tia."

When Pinkie Pie saw me, she said, as she started bouncing, like she was on a sugar rush, "Twilight, where did you come from, what did Madness want, did he ask you to join him, do you know what that noise was, we gave the book back to Feeder."

I used magic to stop her from bouncing, then said, "Calm down Pinkie. Madness just wanted to know what I thought of my first purge, noise was from Celestia, He teleported me here." Then I told them the whole story.

They were all shocked. Then, on the other end of the cells, the lights started going out. Applejack broke the silence, & said, "Come on everyone, lets go to bed. Hopefully, dream of something better than this place. Then we went to bed with out another word

Ch 12 Friend Are My Nightmare

*Madness P.O.V*

No one noticed me standing outside their cell, as soon as I knew everyone was asleep, I said, to twilight, "Try to have a nice dream, cause I know you won't." I walked back to my room. On the way there, I stopped at my freezer to get an eyeball, for a snack. Once I got in, I drew magic out of the amulet, went into the prisoners' dreams

*Twilight P.O.V.*

I woke up in my castle. It must have been a dream. I walked outside, & what I saw scared me. Everything was on fire, & dead bodies were scattered across the ground. Then I heard shuffling, I turned towards the noise & saw Rainbow Dash walk out from the side of my castle.

Her skin was darker, her eyes were pure black, & when I looked at her hooves, I realized they were covered in blood. She twisted her head towards me, & said, "looks like I missed one" Then started to walk towards me

With each step she took towards me, I took a step back. I said, "No, Dash, It's me, Twilight."

What she said next put a chill down my spine, "I don't know a Twilight." Then she ran at me. I did the best thing, run. I ran as fast as I could.

When I looked back, I saw Rainbow Dash gaining on me. I turned a corner, ran into an open door, & slammed it shut. I Listened to Rainbow Dash pound on the door, for what seemed like an hour. When she finally stopped, I sat down, with down with my back on the door, & said, while crying, "Oh Rainbow Dash, What happened to you?"

After a few minutes, I looked around the room. In the center of the room a pile of dead bodies, & sitting in front of it was Pinkie Pie. I said, as soon as I saw her, "Oh no, not you to."

Pinkie Pie turned to me & said, "YAY, another one."

I said, as she walked towards me, "Pinkie, listen to me. It's me, Twilight, your friend."

She said, "I didn't have a friend named Twilight." Then she ran at me.

I mumbled to myself, "Here we go again." Then I ran out the door. After I ditched Pinkie Pie, I ran to Fluttershy's house. When I was almost there, I saw Fluttershy have a hoof in Angel's skull. So I turned around & ran to Rarity's, hoping Fluttershy didn't see me.

Once I got there, I opened the door & stopped. There was Rarity, stomping on Sweetie Belle's skull. After the third stomp, I couldn't bare it, I said, "Rarity, why did you kill your little sister."

Rarity said, as she started walking towards me, "I don't remember have a little sister."

I ran right out of there, & headed to Sweet Apple Acres. I was stopped at the entrance by Applejack. Her hooves were covered in blood. She said, "You are going to die."

I sighed & said, "AJ, It's me, your friend, Twilight."

Applejack walked towards me & said, "I don't care if you're a friend or not, I'm going to kill you."

I ran & I could hear Applejack chasing me. When I look back, I saw all my friends chasing. I mumbled, to myself, "Great, I'm going to die by my friends." I turn left & ran into a building,

I hid in the shadows, as my friends passed. When I couldn't hear there step, I sighed, turned left, & was face to face with Pinkie Pie. She shined her flashlight into my eyes, & yelled, at the top of her voice, "Suspicious."

I ran out the door, & tried to see clearly. When I could I looked left & saw Applejack running towards me, then I ran the other way. I looked left & right, as I ran. I saw friend on both side, then I realized they were keeping me heading towards my castle. I ran in, headed towards the throne room. When I got there, I realized it was a dead end.

Then I was grabbed & pulled into my throne. I look my shoulders to see Rainbow Dash & Fluttershy holding me in place. I said, "Please, don't do this, I'm your friend." Pinkie Pie pointed her cannon at my stomach, smiled, then pulled the cord, I would have doubled over in pain, if I wasn't being held in place. Rarity walked up to me, & punched me, so hard in the mouth, I spat out the tooth. After a few minute of getting punched, Rarity stopped, I spat out a lot of blood, then I felt weaker. When I was released, I slumped in the chair. When I looked up, I saw Applejack pulling her back hooves in. I know what it meant, the final blow. I closed my eyes, & felt my skull get crushed

Ch 13 Breaking Out Of The Cell

*3rd P.O.V*

Twilight woke up, screaming, then jumped up & grabbed a knife. The others woke up, when they heard Twilight screaming, Applejack slowly walked up to Twilight, eyeing the knife, then she said, "It's okay, you had a nightmare, we all had nightmare on our first night here. So, just put down the knife. I'm not going to hurt you."

Then Twilight slash at Applejack's legs. Applejack stepped back, in shock, while looking at her leg. Blood was pouring out of the wound. Twilight started walking towards her, then Ivy tackled Twilight, making her head hit the floor & knocking her out. Ivy stood up & muttered, to herself, "Madness, this is new. Hey guards, this pony need medical help. So you must take her to the medical center.

A guard walked up to the cell & said, "Fine, the rest of you, go to the wall, & you, drag the Princess over to the wall." As Ivy was taking Twilight to the wall, the guard came in, grabbed Applejack, & closed the door after him.

After the guard, & Applejack left, Rainbow Dash grabbed, drag her away from the others & held her against the wall, then said, "What did you do to Twilight, & why did she attack AJ."

Ivy said, in a calming voice, "Calm down, I didn't do anything, She's still asleep. Didn't you see her eyes."

Rainbow Dash released Ivy, & said, "No, I was busy watching the knife, wait, how did a knife get in here?"

Ivy said, "Madness or one of his guards placed the knife in here when we were asleep, Then controlled Twilight to attack Applejack. You're probably wondering how the eyes & Madness controlling Twilight have to do with her eyes & why I tackled Twilight. When Madness controls someone, their eyes will be darker. There are 2 way to make them stop being controlled, Madness lets go or they're knocked out.

Then they heard groaning, when they turn around, they saw Twilight stirring. The others were already by her side, Rainbow Dash looked at Ivy & said, "Well I think Twilight is waking up, come on let go over, so the others don't think we're planning something." Then they walked over to Twilight.

When they got there, Ivy said, "How are you feeling Twilight?"

Twilight opened her eyes, looked around, & said, "A little stiff, where's AJ."

Ivy said, "It's ok, Applejack is getting medical help."

Then Twilight broke down, cover eyes & cried, saying, "It all my fault."

Ivy laid down, put a hoof around her, then said, in a calming tone, "No, it's not your fault, it's Madness'"

Twilight push Ivy away & said, "You don't understand. Madness did do anything. I did it out of my own free will."

The other stood there in shock, until Rainbow Dash said, "I thought you said Madness was controlling her."

Ivy looked at Rainbow Dash & said, "Hey this is new & it's too low for him. " then turned back to Twilight. "Was there anything he had that could the reason of the change?"

Twilight shook her head, Ivy stood up, walked to the bars & whispered something into a guard ear. The guard's eyes widened, then said, while opening the door, "Sorry I didn't recognize you, please don't tell Madness."

Ivy said, as the others left the cell, "If you keep this a secret, I won't tell him."

As they were walking Twilight said, "What did you tell the guard?"

Ivy turned her head & said, "Just a secret, Twilight, when we visit Applejack, stick with the Madness controlled story, Ok"

Twilight lowered her head & said, "Ok."

Ch 14 Medical

*Applejack's P.O.V, while being taken away*

I played the memory over & over, saying to myself, "Twilight attacked me." No matter how many times I said it, in my head, I couldn't believe it.

Before I knew it, I was laying on a cold metal table. Then I heard somepony say, "Why didn't you stop the bleeding. Now if she dies, it will be my fault." I was in too much pain to see who was talking, When the pony came into view, I saw the pony was wearing a gas mask with black glass covering his eyes. He said, as he wiped the blood, "Well, hello there, nice too see you again. Now, lets see what I have to work with. " When the blood was cleaned up, he said, while grabbing a rolled up cloth, "That's a deep cut, it's going to need stitches. Here, bite down on this."

When I bit down on the cloth, he jabbed the needle into my leg. I tried to scream in pain, but it was muffled by the cloth. After he was done, he said, "I'm sorry I can't give you anything for the pain. Help me move her into a bed." Then I passed out.

*The Pony P.O.V*

After the guards helped me with Applejack, I said, to myself, "It's sad that a good pony is in this place." Then I walked out."

*Guard P.O.V, at the camera room*

I watched as the prisoners walked out of their cell, & head towards the medical center. I got out of the chair, & said, to the other guard, "Continue watching the cameras, I'm going to take care of the prisoners that are out of their cell." & my sister. Then I ran towards the cells.

*Applejack P.O.V*

When I woke up, No one was in the room. I got up from the bed, & winced in pain. I limped towards the pain, I heard seven ponies heading towards the door. I stood next to the door, ready to tackle whoever came through the door. A figure came through the door, then I lunged at the figure.

Then I head someone say, "Applejack." I turned to the doorway, to see my friends, & Ivy, standing in the doorway. I looked down who I was standing on. Twilight was trying to remove my hoof from her throat. I jumped off & said, Twilight, I'm so sorry, I thought you were a guard.

Twilight sat up, coughing, then said, "It's okay. I'm glad you are walking around fine."

There was a crash, I looked at Ivy rummaging through cupboards. Rainbow Dash said, "Ivy, what are you doing?"

Ivy said, "I trying to find something to cover my eyes. Ah, here we go." She pulled out a pair of dark glasses, & placed them on, then said, "Ponies says my eye disturbs them. One of you needs to carry Applejack."

I said, "I can walk."

Ivy walked towards me & said, "No, if you walk, you will open the cut & bleed to death."

Rainbow Dash stepped up & said, "I'll do it."

Ivy walked past them & said, "Great. lets go."

Rainbow Dash helped me onto her back. When I was on her back, I said, "Hey Ivy, I thought about something, how are we going to get past the guards

Ivy look at me, through her good eye, & said, "Long your with me, they won't stop us.

We walked through the cell area without a problem, but when we got to the entrance to the cells, a guard stood in front of us. Ivy walked up & said, "Excuse me, do you know who I am?"

The guard said, Yeah, an escaped prisoner."

Twilight stepped up & said, "I know you. You're the one who was torturing the princesses."

The guard said, "That's all you recognize of me? I'm sad, that you don't remember me." Then The guard took of the mask.

When I saw the guard's face, I was shocked at what I saw. I looked at the others, they were shocked as well, except for Ivy, who just stood there. Then she said, "You are an Idiot, showing your face when you know you have a double." The guard was Applebloom.

Ch 15 Story

*Applejack P.O.V*

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. My little sister, working for Madness. I couldn't stop shaking. Then Applebloom said, "I'm not from your world, that Applebloom is her cell, waiting for you to save her."

*3rd P.O.V*

Rainbow Dash turned to Ivy, & said, "Can you please knock Applebloom out."

Ivy turned to Rainbow Dash, & said, "Why do you want me to knock out a version of your friend's little sister?"

Rainbow Dash said, as she shifted Applejack's weight on her back, "Cause she is upsetting AJ, I can feel her shaking."

Ivy said, as she walked up to Applebloom, "Not yet, I want to try something. Hello, I'm Ivy, I already know you're Applebloom. Why are you working here?"

Applebloom said, like she had to say it many times, "To get my cutie mark."

Ivy said, "Do you know why Madness doesn't have a cutie mark?"

Applebloom said, "Yes, he cut it off right after killing his friend."

Ivy said, as she watched the others sit right against the wall, "Did he ever tell you how he got it?

Applebloom shook her head & said, "No, every time I try to bring it up, he glares at me & threaten to take away my sanity."

Ivy sighed, then said, "Well, I guess I have to answer the question. First of all, he can't take your sanity. He made a friend."

Applebloom said, with a puzzled look on her face, "If he got it by making a friend, why did he cut it off?"

Ivy said, "He thought the meaning was that he would never harm a friend in any way, then he got mad at his friend for not wanting to kill one of her friends. Without thinking, he grabbed a knife, & cut her from the back of her legs to her neck. After he was done, he realized what he done. He took the knife, cut off his cutie mark, & ran off, leaving his friend to die."

Applebloom sat down, wiped the tears out of her eyes, & said, "Now, I feel worse about torturing the princesses."

Rainbow Dash ran up to Applebloom, startling everyone, & said, "Where are the princesses?"

Applebloom said, after recovering, "They are right next to Madness' office."

Rainbow Dash said, "Great, lets go." Then raced off, with Applejack holding on as best as she can.

After Rainbow Dash & Applejack were gone, Twilight & the other walked up to Applebloom, then Twlight said, "What are you going to do now?"

Applebloom said, as she stood up, "I'm going to quit, then head home." Then she walked up to Ivy, then said, while hugging her, "Thanks for the story." As she left, their byes mixed together.

*Twilight P.O.V*

When Applebloom was gone, Ivy turned to us & said, "Lets go catch up with Rainbow Dash." Then Ivy went flying into the wall. Our screams mixed together. We ran to Ivy. I looked at her glasses, they were shattered to pieces. Ivy said, as she tried to stand, "I can't believe he didn't get rid of them."

Rarity said, "Who might I ask."

Ivy said, "The Elite Guards." Then she passed out.

Sunset grabbed her front left leg, & said, to the other "We need to get out of here. Help me put her on my back."

I walked up & placed Ivy on Sunset's back. Then we heard clanking. We turned around to see guards come around the corner, I guess these were the elite guards. They had dark gold armor with dark blue plumes. The captain's armor was darker. I was about to follow the others, but the captain said, "Twili, is that you?"

My heart sunk, there was only one person who called me that. I turned around & said, "Hello brother. Yes, it's me, your sister."

The captain removed his helmet, & sure enough, it was my brother, Shining Armor. He looked the same, but he had black eyes. He said, with sad & confusion in his tone & eyes, "I hate to say this, but your dead."

I backed up & said, "No, I'm not dead."

He placed his helmet back on, turned around to the other guards, & said, "kill them."

I turned around & ran after my friends, with tears blurring my vision

Ch 17 Madness' Princess

*Applejack P.O.V, after Rainbow Dash ran off*

I said, "Dash, slow down, we need to think of something, like, how are we going to free the princesses."

Rainbow Dash said, as we pasted Madness' office, "we break them out, now quiet we're almost there." She stopped flying & slowly walked towards the door.

We peeked inside the room to see Madness talking to a guard. He said, "Quickly, they must be ready for the test subjects, they will be here any minute. The guard went to the princesses, then, one by one, loosened the locks, then followed Madness out a different door.

When they were gone, we walked up to the princesses, took the locks off. Rainbow Dash worked with the others, while I tried to wake Luna. When Luna woke up, she pushed me into the wall, while having me by the throat. I said, while trying to get Luna to stop, "Luna, It's me, Applejack." I looked into her eyes & noticed that they were darker. Madness is controlling her. I called to Rainbow Dash, as best as I could, "Dash, help."

Then started seeing black. All of a sudden, the pressure on my throat disappeared quickly. I coughed, as my vision started returning. When It was back, I saw Rainbow Dash standing over me & Luna at the wall. Then a voice came from the doorway, we entered from, "Well looks like the test subjects are here." We turned to see Madness walk over to Luna, looked at her, then turned back to us. Then he said, "Hows your leg, AJ?"

I said, "You should know, you're the one that made Twilight attack me, and what do you mean test subjects?"

Madness said, as he shook his head, "Well, you know something is wrong with Luna. What wrong with her is that she is going to kill you. Oh, lets not forget the others, they also want a piece of you, mainly your head, but they need to cool off a little, so try to stay alive. I didn't make Twilight attack you, she did that out of her own free will." He turned to Rainbow Dash, then said, "Dash here, knows the truth. Don't you."

I turned to Rainbow Dash & said, "What is he mean, Dash, what is the truth?" Rainbow Dash looked at the ground & said nothing.

There was a few minutes of silence, until Madness said, "Well, you better get ready to run, as soon as I heal your leg, Luna is going to try to kill you." His horn glowed a dark red, then I felt a searing pain in my hoof. When it was over, I looked down & saw there was no stitches, not even a scratch. Rainbow Dash grabbed my leg & pulled me.

*Twilight P.O.V*

We walked around the factory, looking for Rainbow Dash & Applejack. Then I match my speed with Ivy & said, in a quiet voice, "What do you mean alive-here ponies, are AJ & Dash dead.

Ivy looked at me, then said, to everyone, "Lets take a break. Twilight, come with me, so we can finish our conversation." I followed her away from the others. When we were far enough, she said, "Yes."

I said, after letting that sink in, "How did they die?"

Ivy said, "Rainbow Dash was split between friend, Fluttershy was good, even there, & the others were evil, except Pinkie. Living the double life was too much for her. AppleJack told Celestia & Luna that they were not ruling the kingdom right, then they had her executed."

I sighed, then said, "Who else died, & how did I die?"

Ivy stared at me, then said, "Pinkie was killed after firing her cannon, Rarity went missing, & you died at the hands of the heroes." Then I heard explosions head towards us, I looked at Ivy, she nodded, then we walked back to the other. Rainbow Dash & Applejack came around the corner. Rainbow Dash said something that was lost in the explosions. Then Luna came around the corner

I said, as Applejack & Rainbow Dash ran past me, "What got into Luna?"

Rainbow Dash called back, "Who do you think." I looked at Luna, then we all ran after them.

Ch 1 Dreams

*Twilight's P.O.V*

I was back in the warehouse, running from 6 copies of Madness, all yelling, "No one escapes." I turned a corner & ran into a dead end. I turned around to see all 6 were behind me.

A seventh walked up & said, while holding a knife in the air, "I told you, I was coming for you ."

In the background, I could hear a echo repeating, "Twilight, wake up, it's just a dream." Then the knife came down.

I woke up in cold sweat, screaming. I looked around to see I was in my room. "It was just a dream." I said, while wiping my forehead, then I looked for Spike.

He was at foot of the bed. "Another nightmare?" He said, as he climbed onto the bed. I nodded, this was the 45th in 3 months. The first one, I accidentally kicked Spike in the jaw. Luckily, it wasn't serious.

I got out of bed, & walked to the library, with Spike following me. "You have to stop being scared of these nightmares. Madness is in jail, he can't hurt you." Spike said, as he was stretching.

"I know, I know, but every time, it's get more real. The blood, on the blade, increases every time. Do you think Madness knows some kind of magic that make him able to control other ponies dreams?" I said, as I opened the door to the library.

Spike shrugged & said, "Maybe not. If he was looking at dreams, Luna would know.

I turned to Spike, & smiled. "Yeah, I guess your right. Well, why don't you get some rest, I'm going to be up for the rest of the night." I said, as I looked at the clock. It was 4:39 a.m. Spike turned around, & said, over his back, "Ok, see you in the morning." I sat down, grabbed a book, & started to read.

*Madness P.O.V*

I laughed at Twilight's reaction, as he brought down the knife. I opened my eyes, walked out of his office, & walked into his fridge. He passed the hearts, lungs, kidneys, stomach, & intestines, & went for the eyes. I popped an eye into my mouth, like it was a grape. Slimy & squishy, just how I like them.

As I was walking back to my office, I was struck with an idea. Why don't I make Luna kidnap Celestia. I ran to my safe, & opened it up. There, glinting in the light, was the Alicorn Amulet. "i just need more power."

Ch 7 Through The Portal

*Madness P.O.V*

As soon as I woke up, I knew I was at Canterlot High. I looked down to see me dress in a unzipped black coat, a gray teeshirt, dark blue pants, & a pair of black shoes. I reached for my hood, & pulled it over my head. Then I looked at Brain, he wore blacked, unzipped, jacket, white v-neck, black pants, & a pair of gray shoes. He was holding the statue, for support, while getting the hang of standing on two legs. I said, as I left, "Meet me when you're used to walking on two legs, Right now, I'm going to pay the principals a visit,"

Principal Celestia & Vise-principal Luna were behind the desk, talking, then looked up as I walked in. Celestia straightened & said, "Welcome, are you new here?"

I said, as I closed the door & locked it, "Yes, I'm new, & you two are going to help me kidnap the whole school."

Celestia stood up & yelled, "Get out, & joke like that again."

I walked up to them, while taking off my hood, then said, "I wasn't joking."

Luna stepped up & said, "What do you mea..." Then their eyes turned white. Luna crumpled onto the floor & Celestia slammed her head onto her desk.

I walked over to Celestia, & started to make a copy of her. As soon as I was done, I heard a knock at the door. I sighed, stepped over Luna, & opened the door a crack. There, at the door, was Brain. I let Brain in, locked the door, then got started on make a copy of Luna. Once I was done, I sat down on the floor told the principals to gather everyone & take them through the portal.

*3rd P.O.V*

2 hours later, everyone was heading to the portal. Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, & Rarity was walking at the back of the crowd. Then 2 pairs of hands grabbed Rainbow Dash & pulled her into an empty room. The others ran after her. When they got into the room, they saw Sunset Shimmer & Adagio arguing & Sonata sat at a desk, doodling. Sunset said, "We should help them."

Adagio said, "Sunset, He's too powerful, even for me."

Rainbow Dash got up & said, "Adagio, what are you doing here?

The door slammed shut, they all turned to see Aria behind the door. She said, as she walked to them, "That's that thanks we get for saving you from Madness."

Rainbow Dash folded her arm, then said, "The new kid."

Adagio said, "Yes, he's older than us, & much stronger. If you don't believe me, then follow us." The 3 went out the door. The 6 looked at each other, then ran after them.When they got to the office, they gasped & ran to the principals. Adagio leaned against the frame & said, as the 6 tried to wake them up, "You see, he put them under a really old spell. They won't wake up unless Madness wants them to."

Sunset said, "Lets message Twilight. She might know what to do." The other agreed. They ran to Sunset's locker, to grab her book.

As soon as she opened it, she heard a voice say, "Thanks for opening your locker for me. I was about to use my magic to open the locker, but now I don't have to." They all turned around, to see Madness standing there, smiling.

Ch 16 Ivy Winds

*Twilight P.O.V*

When I caught up with the others, I lost the guards, & my brother. After what seemed like hours of running, we stopped to catch our breath. I help Sunset with taking Ivy off her back, we laid her on her side. Pinkie came over to Ivy & said, "Ooh, look a line on Ivy's tummy."

Rarity sighed, then said, "Pinkie Pie, quit being random."

Fluttershy came over, & looked closely at Ivy's stomach, then said, "She really does have a line. It looks like a scar"

I rolled Ivy onto her back, saw that she had a scar-like line, running from her back legs to her neck. I said, "It's a scar, I wonder how she got it."

Fluttershy said, "Um, do you remember the story, the one Ivy told us?"

I looked up from the scar, & at Fluttershy, then said, "Yes, I remember."

Fluttershy turned her head, until one eye was visible, then said, "Well, maybe Ivy is, or was, Madness' friend from the story."

I thought about it, then said, "That could be, but we have to wait for Ivy to wake up to find out."

Then we heard a groan. Rarity said, "Well we won't have to wait long."

Ivy opened her eyes & started to sit up, then Pinkie Pie asked, "Are you Madness' friend from your story, cause we seen your scar."

Ivy sat up, sighed, then said, "Yes, it's me." Then she looked at me, & said, "You met the captain of the elite guards."

I looked at her & said, with my voice full of anger, & sadness, confusion, & disappointment, "Yeah, I know my brother is the captain."

Ivy said, "Well, you're half right. Yes he's your brother, but he's not the one you know. He's from another dimension, where good is bad & bad is good. In his dimension, he's the captain of the royal guards, that lost his sister."

After listening to Ivy's story, I asked, "How did you & Madness meet?"

Ivy chuckled & smiled, then said, "Ever since I was little, I've been missing my left eye, so, I wore dark glasses to avoid getting teased. One day, I saw Madness getting bullied because of his eyes. I took off my glasses, walked up to Madness, & said to the bullies everyone's different. If you want to bully him, you have to go through me. Then they stopped, & we became friends ever since. Well, until he cut my gut open. Now lets go find your friends, before the guards find another alive-here pony."
