In year 495 of the third age, after the whole winter ghost incident, Princess Platinum, Chancellor Puddinghead and Commander Hurricane decided to resolve and have peace & friendship thus they founded Equestria together......But that's just some Drama script told to delight and/or not to scare little fillies. Pretty much most of this story, along with those in The Journal of the Two Sisters, are seriously omitted in details and too contradictory in many ways to even MAKE SENSE. The truth of history hidden behind fairy tales is always much more of darkness, blood and grief, TOLD IN THIS STORY.
