A Sweet Tale
Chapter One
Load Full StoryNot a day goes by where I don't think that maybe this was a bad idea. But with all the things I left behind in Cloudsdale, maybe something new will surface. But i’ll just consider that some wishful thinking as it’s been 2 days that I have been flying for. I am starving, thirsty and overall just losing the energy to keep flying. The cloud cover was quite thick today, so I had no clue where I was. I need to land at some point today, but without some sort of gauge on where I was it would be quite the risky hand to play. But at this point I had no choice, mountains or filed, maybe a town who knows, all I could hope is that it’s someplace safe.
I had the idea dance around in my head for a bit before finally making my choice. I gulped as I looked down at the empty and endless floor of clouds, hoping that my gamble works. I held my wings at my side and began to nose dive towards the clouds. As my body it the large fluffy masses, I was blind for only a second. The first thing I saw as I opened my eyes was the fancy buildings and slight purple tones of the streets. Yep, its Canterlot. If i had to go from one group of stuck up ponies to the next, This is not what I would of chose, but it was my only hope for keeping myself going.
The ground came quickly, I felt my hooves bring myself to a screeching before giving out due to the exhaustion. My small body hit the ground with a thud, my eyes barely able to stay open. The last thing I saw was that I landed in front of some retail store, couldn’t get the name, and a large brown earth pony who was behind the counter looking me in my heavy eyes. They closed, and before I knew it, I was out like a light.
After some time I awoke inside of a comfy bed with the covers over me. My head hurt like no tomorrow and I was still a bit groggy. I looked about the empty bedroom. It was rather messy, and disorganized, the last thing I would expect from a resident of Canterlot. “H-Hello…?” I called out to see if anyone was around. My ears perked to the sound of hoofsteps coming towards me. I pulled the covers close to me, cautiously awaiting the arrival of the pony. Into the room came that brown stallion who I saw in that store. “You had quite the landing there.” He said to me. “I-I guess so… I’m Chilly Wing…” I replied and also introduced my self. The earth pony was larger than me for sure. He was wearing red bandana around his neck, his pretty blue eyes looking right into mine. “Salem, Salem Tales.”
