A Hive Remade
Thinking of The Future
Previous ChapterI sit in the second nursery laying the second batch of eggs. Between eggs, I try to come up with some answers to my old questions. Due to the large numbers of eggs I lay at a time, I can't really do much more than two for each of my studs before I must find a love source. I don't have a chance at Equestria with those kind of numbers. I could take a smaller nation like Saddle Arabia first, but the alicorn sisters will surely put a stop to it. I'm not yet powerful enough to take on even one of them, let alone both at the same time. Shining Armor's love was a special case, for he wished to wait until after the wedding before any sort of sex. Even after I got him under my control, he had apparently had made his vow magicly like most unicorns. The princess of love had him cock blocked to me. I was able to feed off quite the amount of love from anyways, though I would love to give him a ride. He was just so big and strong, I wanted to see if that's true for all of him. My pegasus stud comes pretty close, but there's a difference between one who trains everyday at his leisure and one who trains rigorously for the military. He just had to make a abstinence vow to her. If he really loved her so much, then why haven't they had foals yet?
Anyways, I'm not sure I can find a single source of love that strong again. My only hope is to get more studs and eventually some mares. I just can only take so much more until too much suspicion arises and all of Equestria come looking for me. I doubt that they would saulter my children, but it won't end happily for me. Everything must be timed just right. I might even be able to take over Saddle Arabia and use the changelings' signature ability to hide my conquest long enough to gain the power to defeat the champions of Equestria. Before I can, I must build a sizeable army. I can think up the details later, but my mind is set.
Now, how many more studs will I need and of what kind? I won't know what kind of pony best serves my needs until the first three batches of eggs hatch and mature so I can study their abilities. This also mean I must wait a while before I can make the second batch. A shame really. I really want to truly give my studs a amazing time, not just get their sperm and leave them. The things I can do will make them love me, but I rushed the first one out of excitement and now I must be fair to all three of them. As for how many I need, that depends on how many can I get away with. The three that I have are enough for me, but I can have more for my daughters. I can't have my children mating with each other. Other than the defects that come from inbreeding, it's indecent. I suppose that five every year will do. Maybe more from Saddle Arabia and sounding nations. I did hear of a cult town that completely isolated itself from the world. It's part of Equestria now, but I wonder if there's more. At the very least a small town in the vicinity of the desert that nopony will care if it went missing. A couple dozen ponies will do for the meantime. I should scout out the area to see. I might find an outpost of something. Note to self, send drones out to find small groups of ponies.
It will be easy to keep numbers down to leave the extra studs to my daughters. Changeling mares, if my memory serves right, lays only twenty to fifty larger eggs at a time and only a few survive to hatch. That was when the changeling had little to live off of. I'm not sure what the nurseries will change about that. I would imagine that at least half would survive. It's still low, but that's the difference between normal changelings and a queen. I lay a couple hundred eggs and most of them survive, even under extreme circumstances. Though it's best for them to be cared for as abused eggs tend to develop defects. The drones caring for the eggs I'm laying right now are good at being gentle, but if one drops an egg, it will be terminated faster than I can blink. The other drones will despatch it as I ordered.
The last few eggs are laid and now I must get up to inspect them. This batch has almost three hundred strong and all are healthy. Now I must get to making the last batch for a while. I'll wait until tomorrow to get things started, but the third stud will be on my mind. If what the drones said they found about is correct, he'll be my favourite. The anticipation is madding. The earth pony is last, but might be the best.
