Chapter 1: Where is Spike?

I am RoseDrawings and this is my first ever mlp FanFic! 
I'm sorry if I left out any info in this...
anyway, it's not going to be long, like only 4-6 chapters and maybe a prequel or a sequel but that's it. if I add more than 6, it's most likely that I feel like it's incomplete.

Chapter 1: Where is Spike?
Chapter 1
“Spike!” shouted the purple mare, looking for her little assisted that disappear without a say of almost an hour. She circled the castle over and over again, looking in every room in the building, but no sign of the purple dragon. She sat down, place several papers that she carry on the table as she took a break.
Twilight needed Spike to send some research that princess Celestia requested her to do. A million bits was stolen from the royal safe a month ago. It was a shock when it happened, very few ponies had access to the safe and a spell was cast to keep outsiders out. But somehow this pony was able to brake in and took a chunk of the items of the safe. In response, Celestia ask her faithful student for insistence.
“It’s important to find out who took it Twilight, and how it was carried out. I don’t want this getting into the public ether. So make your excuses and start digging.” spoke the tall, Elegant mare with a stern face.
After a month of endless research and sleepless nights, she finally has something to report back to Celestia, but that darn purple dragon isn’t anywhere to be seen! “Ugh! Spike, where are you!?” No reply, nothing but the wind blowing outside the window. Twilight sighed. “This isn’t like you…”
And it wasn’t, Spike was known to hang with Rarity for hours on some days and go off doing whatever he wants, but Spike was always around when a letter needs to be sent. Anyway, Twilight already called Rarity about, she haven’t seen Spike all day or for the past forty-eight hours. Twilight can still feel the sweat that dripped when she heard the new, because she too haven’t seen spike for that long, no, even longer than that.
She had been out with Rainbow Dash for a Daring Do book signing in Canterlot for a couple of days. She needed to get out after all the research she have been doing. Once she got back it was almost midnight, she just assumed that he was in bed and went to bed herself. The next day she was in the castle library all day doing some more research. The thought never came to her that Spike went missing.
Twilight sighed once again and got up, pick up the papers and prepare to walk towards the door to the staircase to the fourth floor, until she heard a squeak form behind her. She turns her head to the door. Was it finally Spike appearing after who knows how long? “Spike?” Twilight called lightly. Silence, the door continues to open slowly.
“Spike.” Twilight said a little bit louder. Still nothing, the door fully opened while darkness greeted Twilight with the feeling of fear. “S-Spike this isn’t funny! If you’re trying to scare me, it’s not going to-”
A short flash appeared in the darkness and a sharp pain meet Twilight’s chest. Her valet eyes widen in shock. She touches her chest by reacting. A feeling of wetness on her hoof startled the Alicorn in complete fear. She lowered head to her to a now purple and dark red chest; her eyes widen even more as she lifted her hoof to see blood dripping. Red liquid covered her chest, her hoof, the floor, and the papers that dropped to the ground from the shock. Suddenly, Twilight felt her strength weakening and her vision became foggy. She fell to the ground right next to the bloody paper. She can barely see a black pony walk towards her as her world goes black and breathes her last breath.

She calmly walked to the purple corpse with a cold hearted glare. Newly fresh blood covered her already stained black coat as stopped to pick up the blood covered papers that scattered around and under the body.
She thought would be harder than this. She was expecting a month of planning a path around the castle. Finding an entry, a hiding place and a quick exit out of the castle after finish the job. Guards to snipe down one by one and hiding the bodies so the target itself won’t notice. Especially if the target was a princess that extremely close to the powerful pony in Equestria. But no, it was more like a walk in a park then an extremely hard mission for a ton of cash.
The castle was basically empty with no guards in site. There are a million hiding places for her to hide in a second notice. And it might be at least a day before the body will be discovered, by then she’ll be in Manehattan laughing at the bar. Really, it’s like all the missions she gets, not even that!
Once she picked up all the red stand papers that still drip here and there; she put them in her gray saddle bag, and turn towards the door to leave. But not before she look back at the once was purple princess, with some sort of regret, the black unicorn put her hoof on the Alicorn’s eye and softly close them. leaving the princess of friendship to rest in peace, in some shape of form. As she leaves however, she picks up her dagger that still stick right on the motionless dragon that’s cold to the touch. She pulled the small corpse out of its hiding place, carefully leaving nothing to track her, and slowly closed the door.
Nothing remained of the black pony but a spray paint of a cross and a rose...

The sun was just beginning to rise before a nock came to the door of Sugar Cub corner. It was a little weird that somepony was nocking there in such a time, but not too weird. It could be just Twilight trying to wake up Pinkie for some research odd body sensing powers or Rainbow Dash wanting to prank Applejack before she wakes up. So no real surprise that Pinkie open the door almost a second after the pony stop nocking.
"Hello Rain-" but it wasn't Rainbow Dash or Twilight. but a black unicorn with a similar hair like Rainbow, but instead of a muli-color hair but a light gray. she also had a white eye patch which was weirder then the fact that she never seen the pony before now. "Oh, who are you? do you want to buy something because we're not open yet..."
the pony look at her with a smile. "Oh yes, sorry. umm, I've been at the castle this morning but it seemed that nopony was there. since you friend I wonder if you seen the princess of friendship?"
Pinkie's eyes slightly opened. "Twilight? she should be there, she normally be up and singing by now." in Pinkie's head, she shouting, something is wrong, very, VERY wrong.
"well, I was there for an hour and nopony was there." the black pony continued. "not even a sound." the black mare gave the worried earthpony a small card. "Here's my number. when you see her again, tell her that I came and want to see her when she have the time." at that point, the unknown pony turn around with a devilish smile and trotted off.
but Pinkie's mine stilled spun with the same words, the same words that started when she first seen the pony. something was wrong. Very, very, VERY wrong....
