Chapter One - Meeting Scoots
My name is Nathan Blake and this is my story. Well, part of it at least. The rest will follow in time, no doubt. Before I get into the details I think it's best I tell you a little about myself. First and foremost I'm a human. And I know what you must be thinking to yourself. "A Human in Equestria?! What madness is this?!". Well, human's being in the Pony world and vice versa is pretty common now days. So, what makes me so special that my story needs to be told? Well, in both my world and Equestria I was known as one of the best physical injury specialists and trainers around, and in the human world I specialised in animals. So my skills transfered over to a world full of magical ponies pretty well.
I had been in Equestria for a while before this story began, helping ponies of all types recover from all types of injuries. The Wonderbolts were amongst my most regular customers, specially one Rainbow Dash. And she was the reason this particular story began. After about then sixth time I helped her recover from another wing related injury she brought up the subject of Scootaloo. A little filly she said was like the little sister she never had. She explained to me that Scootaloo, even though being a Pegasis, couldn't fly. The poor foal could barely hover. So she asked me to travel to Ponyville to see if I could help her. And that, my friends, is where I'll start this story.

The brakes screeched and the carrage juddered as the trained slowed down, the smart looking stallion conductor bellowing out "Now pulling into Ponyville! Home of The Elements of Harmony and Princess Twilight Sparkle!" Of course I knew that. Everyone, pony and human had heard of the Elements and the Princess. Plus every time I dealt with Rainbow Dash she wouldn't shut up about Twilight. Once the train finally stopped I quickly collected my bags and got off the train. I was barely on the platform before a flash of cyan crashed into me, forelegs wrapped tightly around my torso.
"NATE! It's awesome you're here, man! I've told everypony about you!" Rainbow squealed as she gave me another squeeze. I chuckled softly and ruffled her mane playfully, following it up with a quick flick of her ear.
"Only the good stuff, I hope." I replied, smirking at my best customer.
She scoffed at me, nudging my shoulder before flashing the biggest shitfaced grin a pony could muster. "Well, I kept that one time you confessed to having a crush on me secret. Aheh."
"I told you I was bloody drunk when I said that!" She just laughed and poked her tongue out at me. She always teased me about that, telling me that Cider is the best truth syrum on the market today. And I cant deny that I had grown fond of Rainbow Dash, something she knew very well and used against me as often as she could.
"Anyway. You're not here to stare at my plot, you're here to help Scootaloo fly. I've spoke to Twilight and Mayor Mare about sorting out a place to stay while you're here, and Twilight used one of her spells to make you your own place!"
"So that means I wont be constantly crouching down then. Things are already off to a good start." I grinned at RD then finally pried her off me, grabbing my bags. "Lead the way, Dash."
While we walked we spoke about what we had done since the last time we saw eachother. Rainbow had helped the other Elements defeat a monster who had tried to destroy Ponyville, well, I guess that was what she was trying to tell me. Her style of story telling is usually a bunch of "OH! AND THEN!"s and "TOTALLY AWESOME!"s. When it was time to talk about myself I couldn't exactly match her excitement. I had treated Soarin for another hoove injury. And Thunderlane was still recovering from a rather nasty crash during a show, but he was recovered enough that I didn't need to be ther anymore.
"That Thunderlane is such a clutz. Sure he's handsome, but he's a total disaster...Ah, we're here!"
I had to do a double take at the place that'd be my home for the foreseeable future. The place was huge! Twilight had really out done herself with this one, that's for sure. As Rainbow gave me the tour she explained that the house had everything I could need, including my own treatment room and training facilities.
"Damn...remind me to thank Twilight the next time I see her!"
"Dont worry, she'll be around sooner or later. She still has questions to ask you about Earth, apparently you're the only source of Earthly information she trusts." Dash shrugged then pushed open another door, and it was then when I laid eyed on Scoots. She was sat on the bed, her eyes glued on the TV, her forehooves doing cute little shadow-boxing movements.
"YEAH! KICK THAT GUYS PLOT! GRAB THE CHAIR!"
She hadn't even noticed us standing in the doorway, she was way too engrossed in the wrestling she was watching. Yeah, the WWE was even broadcast in Equestria. Rainbow coughed loudly which caused Scootaloo to jerk, quickly turning her attention to us in the doorway.
"Oh, hey guys! I guess this is that Nathan guy you've been talkin' about for the past forever, right?" Scootaloo said as she motioned a hoof toward me. I beamed her a smile then nodded, putting my bags down and stepping into the room.
"That'd be me. Nathan Blake is my name, but you can call me Nate." I offered her a hand to shake, and she almost took it before the sound of metal hitting skin filled our ear's.
"YEAH! BREAK THAT CHAIR OVER HIS BACK!" Her hooves returned to their former shadow boxing, and I just looked over my shoulder at Dash. She simply shrugged and smirked. We both left Scoots to it, and Rainbow explained to me that she had become a huge wrestling fan since it started being broadcast in Equestria.
Rainbow sipped at her coffee, waving a hoof around as she spoke. "You should've seen her when I told her I got tickets to the Raw show in Canterlot. She was so excited...aheh." I smiled as I listened, nodding every once in a while.
"You really do care for her, dont you Dash?"
"Of course I do! She's like a little sister to me. The kid's been through a lot in her life already, Nate. Her parent's dumped her because she couldn't fly, so she spent a long time living alone in Ponyville. She acted like a normal filly, you know? Talkin' about how her parent's were takin' her out for a meal at a fancy resturant, or how her mother was gonna cut her mane..."
Just watching Rainbow I could see the emotion in her face, but her words showed her true emotions. Anger, sadness, all of it rolled into one.
"No one knew that she had been fending for herself since she was a little foal. She's so tough...if I got hold of her parents I...I'd..." She was on the verge of tears, her body tensing for a split seccond when I gave her shoulder a soft squeeze.
"She's got you, Rainbow. You've given her everything a big sister should...hell, you've pretty much been a mother to her." Dash sniffled then smiled, giving her eyes a wipe. She was just about to say something before the door slammed open, Scootaloo bouncing excitedly into the room.
"OHMAGOSH WHAT AN AWESOME EPISODE! Brock Lesnar slammed Cena through a table and everything! Totally awesome!" As she described what happened she continued to bounce around the room, her little wings fluttering excitedly. Luckily she hadn't noticed Rainbow Dash getting hold of herself, giving her cheeks a few slaps then smiling to her little sister.
"Totally sounds like an awesome show. I'll have to watch the rerun later! Anyway guys, I need to run. I've got the morning cloud clearing duties to handle tomorrow, so I need an early night ya'know?" Dash gave Scootaloo a strong hug, nuzzling the fillies mane before smiling at me.
"I'll see you two tomorrow, ok? Oh, and ask him EVERYTHING, Scoots! He loves questions!"
Before I could even refute that claim she was gone. Another blue blur shooting out of my vision, leaving me alone with a filly who indeed began asking me question after question after question. How old was I? Whats Earth like? Does the rain in Spain really mainly fall on the plain?! She was asking some weird questions, that was until...
"Do you have a special somepony?"
Well damn, that actually caught me off guard. Was she just generalising with the term? Did she also mean girlfriends? Or was Scootaloo just sticking to ponies? It wasn't unheard of now days, interspecies couples had been accepted for a while now.

I couldn't exactly tell Scoots that me and Rainbow had fooled around once or twice. It'd either bring on a whole new barrage of questions or make Scoots upset. It was pretty obvious she idolised RD. So I chose not to ruin that image for her.
"Aww, that's a shame. My teacher is dating a human right now...she's never been happier than she is now. I'm kinda jealous..."
Now that last part caught my attention. This little filly wanted to date a human, eh? I'm sure she could have anyone of any species she wanted when she was older.

I glanced down at my watch, gasping as I saw the time. It was almost half eleven at night! We both needed to get some sleep because tomorrow was going to be the first day of her personal training. Scootaloo was about to reply but I cut her off with a clap of my hands, smiling at the young filly.
"Scoots, it's time for bed. We have a very busy day ahead of us tomorrow, and you'll need as much sleep as you can get! I plan on working you hard tomorrow!"
As soon as those words left my lips I noticed how they sounded, luckily she hadn't though. All she did was whine about not being tired, then she yawned. She smirked sheepishly, her little wings buzzing as she relented.
"Okay, okay. Maybe I'm a LITTLE tired..."
I couldn't help but snicker. This foal was adorable! It didn't take me long to settle her down in her room, swiftly doing the same for myself.

"I...I can't do anymore, Nate! Too...tired!" Scoot huffed out, collapsing onto her tummy and looking at me with a downtrodden expression that'd make solid rock melt. But such things didn't work on me, and the reply she got was a clap of my hands and a raised eyebrow.
"Scootaloo. All you've done is TWO laps around the garden! A filly your age should be able to do triple that before tiring! Riding that scooter all the time has really made you unfit, honey."
That woke her up a bit, her eyes locking onto me and if she could she'd be glaring holes through my head right now. She needed to hear the truth though. There was no point in beating around the bush when your trying to help someone get fit.
"Glare at me all you want, Scoots, but you need to hear the truth."
I smiled softly as I sat myself down next to her, ruffling her purple mane softly. She mumbled something that I could only assume was a 'Stop that'.
"I know you can do this, Scoots. Right now this is basic stuff, and you should be crushing it. But we've been out here for an hour already and you've spent most of that time on the floor claiming to be tired!" I gave a little sigh as I continued to lightly mess up her mane, staring off into the distance as I idly continue.
"I know you want to fly, Scoots. You want to be up between the clouds with Rainbow Dash and doing it under your own strength. Not riding on her back..." I looked down to the filly only to catch a deep blush on her cheeks. My smile grew a little wider as I finally left her mane only, only to playfully poke her nose.
"So, are you giving up? Or is the toughest little filly I know going to continue?"
She scrunched up her nose as I poked it, then snorted and looked to the side. Was she actually contemplating giving up?! This wasn't the headstrong filly Rainbow Dash had told me about if she decided to qu-
"I aint givin' up. Not now...not never..."

If this filly kept on track she'd be flying in no time, and it was my job to get her to that point. I looked down to my clipboard to tick something off the list, looking up to see a dash of orange and purple before it crashed into me and sent us both tumbling! I laid there for what felt like ten minutes, staring up at the sky above me. Except the sky wasn't blue anymore, but a weird shade of purple. I lifted my hands to give my eyes a rub and soon found that Scoot's was laying on top of me, and it was her mane that was obstructing my vision. Then I felt something else. Blinking, I slowly lowered my eyes and saw what I thought I felt. Scoot's lips were pressed against my own, but she wasn't acctually kissing me. The poor filly had knocked herself silly and simply landed like this. Or that's what I thought at least, because when I went to sit up and check on her she followed me briefly. I tried calming her but she simply wasn't listening, it was almost like she was having a panic attack until I grabbed hold of her and held her close. Scootaloo began breathing again, resting her chin on my shoulder as I slowly stroked along her spine.
“You didn't need to panic, Scoots. Accidents happen, love.”
She lent back so she could look at me, tears threatening to fall from her eyes as she gave a heavy sniff.

I wasn't going to sit here and let such a strong filly destroy everything she had done today just because of one mistake! That blush returned as she gazed up at me, her eyes closing as if she thought I was about to kiss her lips. “Don't be stupid, filly! You're nothing less than awesome and dont forget it!”

“RD says your awesome, and she's Ponyville's resident Awesome Expert! So you know she's right on that front. And as for myself, I think your awesome too.”

She nodded softly and mumbled something into my chest, I think it was a Thank You, but to be honest it could've been anything. I looked down at my watch and saw it was almost five PM, giving Scoots one last hug before prying the filly from my lap.
“C'mon, Scoots. Lets get you inside and into a bath. You reek!”
Scoots quickly grinned at me, followed by a swift punch to my shoulder. She hopped up onto her hoofs and took a couple steps toward the house.

I palmed at my face as I moved over to the sink, leaning over it before looking at myself in the mirror. As I looked at myself I couldn't help but smirk. That smirk grew into a grin, which turned into a smile. Then I began to laugh. You know that kind of laugh I mean. The kind of nervous yet happy one? Yeah, that's the sort of laugh I was doing right now.
“Ohshit, man...damn...”
I shook my head before heading over to the shower and turning it on, rubbing my forehead as I waited for the water to heat up. Once everythig was perfect I climb in and let the water rain down upon me. My cock throbbed as I remembered the dream from last night. I sighed happily and turned around to get my back wet and that's when I saw her. Well, I saw an orange and purple blur through the steamed glass of the shower window. But it was definitely Scootaloo sneaking a peak!
