Chapter 3

The Revealed Truth

“captain's log, supplemental. After landing on this planet's only moon. I have discovered that this barrier was not a lunar colony, but in fact a form of prison for a powerful “warlord” of some type. The only problem that I found with this was that it met the banishment of a very nice princess. Weather that title is self imposed or genuine has yet to be discovered.” As I finished the log entry and put my PAR away, I herd a commotion outside. I jump out the air lock shouldering my carbine only to find out that it was Luna tightening the ropes on nightmare moon. “what's going on?” I asked. “Nothing, just making sure she can't cause us trouble” she replied. Nightmare moon tried to say something but her mussel was tightly tighten and could not speak. “ what's she trying to say” I asked. “ nothing surprising, I’m sure.” she replied. My curiosity got the better of me and I started to untie her mussel. “I wouldn't do that if I were you” Luna said right before I finished undoing the not. “you ungrateful simpleton, you will regret this day for I will banish you to the plains of Tartarus where I'll...” she said before I tied the rope back on her mussel. “ I tried to worn you” Luna sneeringly said when I simple replied with “ SHUT UP.”

“So, if what you told me was true and this place is a prison. How did you end up here?” I asked. “well... I don't know how to say this so I'll just say it. I'm nightmare moon as well” she replied. Without a thought, I raised my carbine and asked “ how many of there are you!?” she, with grace, put her hoof on the barrel of my rifle and pushed down saying “ relax, there is only her and I. Although she and I are one and the same, we are both separate ponies.” I quickly jump back about 10 meters and took aim again. “if you think I’m going to believe that, then you have another think coming. So you better give me a little more to work with or you will never see, what did you call you home again?” I said as she looked at me with at modest look on her face. She started walking towards me and tried to put my gun down. I didn't give her the chance and step back. Afterward she said “ let me explain myself” and she started to tell me her story. From how her and her sister started to raise and lowered the sun and moon to how and why she became Nightmare moon and I just stood there and listen. What more could I do?

After she finished her story, I stood strong and said “ and what now?” She put her head down and said that she will return to Equestria within a month as Nightmare moon and that she didn't know how to prevent it. “ well, I could go down and meet you there if you get my meaning” I said. She looked at me looking dumbstruck and said “that was the most stupidest plan I have ever heard of ”. I simply ask why when she replied “ the last time a pony from another world came, calamity struck. ” I started to make the argument that we didn't have a choice in the matter when we heard rope breaking. We came around to find that Nightmare moon had escape and disappeared. She turned to me and said “my time is running out. You have to go to Equestria and warn my sister about my return.” “what happen to that's a bad idea?” I asked with her reply being “there is no time and you are the only hope for Equestria now, go. And tell my sister that I got her lullaby”. I quickly ran into my ship, switched into my standard suit, sealed the air locks and finished purging the air filters and took off for the planet.

After attaching the Secondary Systems, I started to make my way to the planet when a golden glow surround the moon and me along with it. As soon as it started, it was over and I quickly notice that the moon was moving a bit faster. But I shook it off thinking that it was only another example of there power and left it at that. As I flew towards the planet something about my current circumstance finally clicked. I met a talking horse. Up till then there was always something else to concentrate on. But now I realize what I just got myself into. I just entered the world of My Little Pony, or something like it. In with that came a stampede of stories I heard of the show (first Gen to be precise). But above all else, I knew. The road ahead of me, no mater how craze or how childish it was going to be, it was going to be bumpy, rough and dangerous road ahead.

I sustained orbit just an hour later and I started to look for someplace to land. I located a small set of caverns that would be big enough to fit my ship and set up a FOB there. The caverns were located west of the mountain city Luna stated that was the capital and the caverns should be sufficient to do what I need to do without attracting any attention to myself, or at least at I hoped. I started the same descent start up as I did last time but with one differences, I was going to bring everything down. I started to take my supplies into the main cabin and when I was done two hours later, I started to deflate the storage compartment. That took another hour and after I was all done, I went back into my control port and started to descend onto the planet.

As I started to make my decent I started to see the burn out. The flames that form around a ship when you hit the atmosphere. It was a wondrous site to behold but then I realized that this could mean that the ponies on the ground will know about my arrival. After the light show I made my way to the caverns and landed within one of the larger opening to hide myself and started to unpack. It took and some time but eventually I was able to get everything in a useable order but as I finish, what I feared would happen started. A saw patrols of Pegasi flying thru the air looking for something. That something was obviously me but they didn't knew what it was that came down. So with my bags unpacked, a military force looking for trouble. I did the only thing I could think of, Go to bed. Is been a long day for me and a guy can only go on for so long without a break. So with all the hope of a new friend and the fears of her counterpart, a lay in my cot and went out like a light.
