Twilight at Cadence's Education High

In Music class, the Professor told everypony to think of a song they like and sing it to her. This was a big problem to Fluttershy, because she was very shy. When Professor Veranda Melody got to Fluttershy, she said very quietly, "Um, I... I like the Pony-tones song, 'Music In the Treetops."

"Alright then! Excellent choice, Fluttershy! I shall turn up the music, and you shall sing the song to us."

"Um, okay...."

"Wow, Fluttershy! Never learned you can sing like that!"

"How did you ace that song? I couldn't even do it!"

"Fluttershy, can you teach that song to me?"

Fluttershy has had become an instant celebrity after Music Class. The Musical Band was also gushing over her.

"ARGH! Stupid Fluttershy, I will get revenge on her!" Rarity fumed, stomping her hoof on the hall's tiles.

Rainbow Dash just stood there, stunned.

Ploomette said to Rarity, "We will get our revenge...."

But Rarity wasn't listening. She had her mind on another thought.

"What if, we put up a competition for them versus US! Like, do a contest and let us do what we are able to do! Like, me for singing, Ploomette for study, and Plumsweet for baking...."

"We could do that, but we need to have special permission from Principal Cadence after the next period of class."

"Ok, but make it quick!"

"Um, Principal?"

It was the end of Monday. The popularity group had arrived at Cadence's office.

"Yes, Rarity, Sunset, Rainbow, Ploomette, and Plumsweet?"

"We were thinking of putting up a contest-"

"It involved a few events-"

"We could set up booths—"

"One of us can decorate—"

"We could plaster the posters all over the school—"

Cadence silenced them with her hoof.

"I daresay I have no experience in event planning, you have to ask Celestia and Luna for special permission."

Celestia and Luna gave the permission to them, and the popularity group worked hard in their dorms after school everyday to make it perfect. By the fourth week into the school year, they had finished.

"We will be even more popular when we beat a new girl." Rarity said, and the other four sniggered in agreement.
